Coffee bitter,food nice but overpriced, restaurant nice and clean

We attended a function there and it was well handled, food was nice, and staff were friendly and helpful.

1st visit, not a warm welcome from staff, not great range of beers an quite pricey... Liked the decor an spitfire theme an lots of parking but font think we'll visit again sorry

Well what can I say but wow! Came for breakfast it was a busy Sunday. New menu was just perfect, great choice, great quality, great service need I say any more. Will definitely be coming again.

We have just stayed for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday with family and friends...great venue, food was amazing, staff so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble,in house DJ highly recommend,just a perfect weekend from start to finish.

The food and service are brilliant. I can't comment on the stay, because I haven't yet had the pleasure, but I have seen the rooms and they are lovely. Always a warm welcome from the team at The Woodcote.

I got told the next day they were charging me £100 for so called evidence of smoking which I'm yet to see ,I phoned booking.com to dispute this and Edwin in another country said we were smoking marijuana and said we'd have to go in for a blood test and he was sending the police to our door ,this sounds comical but it's true avoid both companies at all cost ,I was also advised that my fingerprints are in the room and he wants to charge £1500 now ,watch out with these companies

So myself and a group of friends came here to the restaurant for a Christmas meal and was very happy with everything overall. Meal was lush a really nice roast dinner. Compliments to chef as starter and pudding all very good. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Very clean and modern interior. Staff were very chatty and happy and appeared relaxed. Everything from start to finish was excellent and will absolutely recommend this place and would happly attend again. Plenty of parking. And didnt struggle to get a table booked.

Went to a friends wedding here. The room was beautifully decorated and staff were lovely. Great service, no waiting at the bar, which is aways a bonus! 😁 Can't comment on rooms, as didn't stay overnight.

Pre booked for the festive meal for a party of 9 . There was 1 person in room apart from us , the table wasnt even decorated for a Christmas meal . 8 of us asked for the festive meal , only to be told there is no TURKEY . We changed it for chicken and waited . 8 roast chicken dinners came to us , and 1 freshly cooked Lasagne ALL BURNT . After complaining 3 times and refusing to pay bill we agreed to pay 50'/. Of the bill . Next day we sent a complaint to the Manager Dave Cobb who firstly wished us a lovely christmas ??? Spoke briefly about our Stern critique ??? , ( it was not a criticism it was a COMPLAINT !!! ). There was no genuine apology from him , basically he said " it's impossible to satisfy every individual pallet ". Our pallets are great , it's the chef's cooking that's not palatable . It is a shame because the Hotel is lovely .

Well what can i say don't eat here unless you want to be disappointed ,our food was served burnt and after complaining we were told we could have 10% off because only 2 things were burnt ,what chef is happy to say that

A great venue. We saw a Dolly Parton Tribute act in the 610 Squadron Bar. The act was superb and the room very spacious, set out with tables assigned to large groups. The staff were great but the only let down was some of the food. The triple-cooked chips were nice if you got plump ones but, sadly, half of the minuscule portion were so skinny that it was impossible to cut them or chew them. The choice of food was very limited.

A very nice location, but reason for visit was a very sad occasion.

We went on Sunday 4th August and the place itself is lovely. We had a few minor issues with food which were dealt with. The main thing that stood out was that two waitresses were extremely unprofessional with us and made the entire table uncomfortable. Upon arrival I went to the bar and ordered a drink, they had an argument in front of me and one stormed off. One said and she calls me unprofessional. When the other came back she said were you slagging me off? I awkwardly smiled and paid for my drink. When we were served they seemed to be in bad moods which we all picked up on and when asking who had which dish it was said abruptly. We felt awkward and uncomfortable and could hear every disagreement between them and could sense their bad moods/attitudes. Also upon speaking to the manager he said to my mother part of the reason service took longer than we expected etc was partially because we asked to be moved to a round table so we could all hear each other and because there wasn't enough seats we had the two children on their own table next to it. These tables weren't otherwise in use and we moved everything ourselves and thanked them. We were polite throughout despite the service so don't understand why there was such an atmosphere

Attended a birthday party celebration. The quality of the facilities was first rate. The food really nice. The bar had a really wide range of drinks for all tastes.

Food was delicious. Hot roast dinner and gorgeous gravy. Will go back to taste week food menu!

We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary in the function room recently and were delighted with how it went. The function room is lovely, with doors leading out to a very pretty garden area which our guests were able to enjoy, along with the outside entertainment provided by the hotel, which was very good and a bonus. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Sarah who was always very happy to meet with us to discuss our requirements and was also on hand on the day of the event and did not rush us to leave at the end of the event. We were also offered drinks as we waited for our transport home and given a bottle of prosecco by a very kind lady as we were leaving. Thanks to everyone at The Woodcote for making our celebration so special.

Went here this afternoon, 1st visit - WOW!!! The food is FANTASTIC! 😋 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really lovely staff 😁 - attentive but not intrusive - a perfect balance, a real credit to this establishment 👌 2 mains - Beer Battered Haddock - absolutely delicious! & the Tandoori Monkfish which was out of this world!!!! 😋😋😋😋😋 2 desserts - Vanilla Poached Pear with Filo Pastry, Chantily Cream & Chocolate Sauce - SENSATIONAL!! & Fried Banana Bread, with Fruit Compote, Vanilla Ice Cream & Whiskey Caramel Sauce - AMAZING!!! 😋😋😋😋😋 Lovely atmosphere, perfect ambience, felt very comfortable! Drove an hour to get here & tbh it would have been well worth it even if I had, had to drive 2 hours!!!! Big thankyou to all the staff for allowing us to have a memorable afternoon!! 😁👍👌👏
