Fantastic cocktail experience Really nice drinks, great explanation and consistently made. Taste great, just don't have too many!

The staff at Liquor & Co. made the experience for us. The greeting and service was excellent as were the cocktails. I would highly recommend booking in for a cocktail or 2.

"No shorts". Refused entry because of my attire by the moody door staff, whilst able to see female patrons through the window dancing in 'shorts'. One rule for one, one for another. This isn't the 90s, Chester, sort it out.

Beautiful cocktail bar with plenty of drink options. Fantastic choice from the homemade cocktail menu plus staff were happy to make cocktails not on the menu as well. Great atmosphere.

Went in last night with a friend for my Birthday, Managed to finally see the Caretakers Cupboard! (What a hidden Gem) Too many drinks so I have forgotten the Gents name that was serving us but he was fantastic! Cheers for making my birthday so special. AMAZING PLACE AND STAFF!!

Friendly staff. Skilled mixologist. Many mixers made by hand. For a truly memorable night of drinks and atmosphere order a caretaker and enjoy the experience.

Feels like stepping back in time to when people took a bit of pride in what they did. The whole experience was fantastic, yes it's not the cheapest but you pay for what you get. In Liquor and co you can see exactly where your money is going. The decor oozes class and the bar staff are more like hosts. If you're in Chester then treat yourself and get yourself down to liquor and co.

Absolutely fantastic bar. Came across this place accidentally and were only going to have 1 or 2 drinks. We sat at the seats at the bar and the place filled up quickly. Despite this, the bar staff were so attentive and it was incredible to watch them make the drinks. Ended up having 4 drinks and were there for 2 hours so quick service even though it was incredibly busy. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Always a nice vibe in here, cosy and comfortable. Nice friendly staff, good choice of beers, cocktails, mocktails, and shorts ( both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Recommend a visit.

What a buzzing yet relaxing place, great ambience.

We booked a booth a couple of months in advance because we knew we were coming with a large group for our Christmas night out. When we arrived, they had given our table away and just left us stood there. Ended up having to go somewhere else. Would not recommend.

We stumbled across this cosy little bar on a recent trip to Chester. Amazing smells, great music and lots of cocktails We were told it was table service only, and it wasn't particularly busy, so we found a table easily. We waited a few minutes for the waiter to clear the table from the previous occupants and he said he'd be back in 2 secs to take our order. We sat for another 10 minutes while he greeted and served groups of young ladies who came in while we were waiting, then we gave up and left without having a drink.

Awesome place, serves water with the drink to keep you hydrated. It’s a thoughtful thing to do especially if you plan on staying a while.

After having the worst drink In the ‘Victoria pub’ across the road (a rubbish vodka lime soda served to me in a. Guinness glass) I was In need of a well made drink or a nice glass of wine so we quickly moved here. Staff are always super friendly and the drinks are well made. Always consistent. Great place to start your evening.

Me and my mates went here and had a great time. A few got too drunk and forgot their coats; the next day the staff were super helpful giving the coats back. Top notch.

Ended up here a couple of times in the early weekend mornings as it's one of the only places still serving til the wee hours in Chester. It's not too badly priced with a decent selection of beers and spirits. Usually some good tunes playing and the guys behind the bar are helpful, super friendly and enthusiastic. I did get temporarily lost in the bathroom and assumed I was locked in but that was an oversight on my drunken part.

Upstairs is only certain nights, check in advance. The music was really loud, couldn't hear people across a table. Way too much ice in the cocktails, had to ask for extra.straws to get to the drink. Waters the drink down too much, be better with normal ice instead of crushed ice.

Excellent list of cocktails and very nice decor. Extremely loud music has left my ears ringing though.

Cannot recommend this place enough great atmosphere and great staff, we was initially served by 'milky joe' who's personality and character kept us for more, watching the mixologists make drinks was very entertaining as well as the dances provided by keenan. You can request drinks not on the menu and keenan was bang on with every one I asked for. There a lively lady Bex always smiling pleasure to talk to and will leave you eluded about the caretaker, if ever in town definitely ask to visit the caretaker well worth it. Adam was out host taking us to the caretaker and was more than kind catering to our needs even if I was a very selective person. Highly recommend if your ever going past! Great atmosphere also!

Went last night 8th July 23, cocktails very disappointing, ordered two pina coladas, very little alcohol and tasted nothing like they should do…won’t be going back!!

Subtle sophistication done beautifully. Outstanding drinks & service. Was only a flying visit on a quiet evening, so we’ll be back one day to enjoy this place properly, cheers 🍹

Came in last night excited to see how the 'Caretaker' works, however,despite putting our names on his list with an hours wait at 8:15pm we were still waiting at nearly 10pm so gave up and went elsewhere. The bar itself was OK but wouldn't go back in a hurry over other bars.

Such a great atmosphere and cocktails tailored to your tastes. A must on your Chester to do list. Whether on or off menu they can meet your needs!

Lads birthday, again thanks for such a great night, sorry we are a bit loud, cheers Bex who served us, what a host, kept our pints full, and introduced us to cocktails out of this world, couldn't do enough, we'll be back see you again very soon.

Visited on Tuesday night so wasn't busy. Staff were brilliant, great service and atmosphere. Not sure about easy access as the bar is situated above street level on the rows above the shops.

The place is lovely, and I can’t fault the drinks, however I do not think it is right to have disability discrimination. I walk with a crutch, last night I was told it’s too busy to come in with a crutch, and there are no seats. Firstly why should my crutch even be a factor, and secondly why assume I need a seat! I can stand just fine. I was so embarrassed. We came back later, and again was told there are now seats! I would not have gone in except we were meeting people.

We were recommended this place by people working in another bar so as far as we were concerned it was going to be a winner! How wrong we were, the guy standing behind the bar as we walked in was there with his arms crossed, looking threatening and intimidating, he told us to sit down and he would take our order. It was quite a comprehensive menu, so when he came to take our order I wasn't quite ready. The music was loud and I felt he was deliberately talking quietly so we had to keep asking him to repeat himself. My partner asked for a bloody Mary, when it came out, it was quite impressive, however the mood of the place was spoilt by the surely barman standing with his arms crossed clearly wishing he was anywhere else! That impressive bloody Mary cost £10. I assure you it wasn't that impressive. So, not only did we finish our drinks quickly but it put a real dampener on the rest of our night! I wouldn't go back on principal, there are other places you could visit and enjoy your drink rather than go here! Inflated prices, for what can only be described as an awful experience, spend your money elsewhere, we certainly will!

As soon as I walked through the door, I had a great welcome which set the tone for the rest of my visit. I wanted a cocktail but was unsure what I should go for. The chap on the bar suggested a Negroni with a twist. Bourbon instead of Gin.. A great suggestion and a delicious cocktail.. Great decor and ambiance..lovely Queen Anne Chesterfield chairs, bar stools and banquettes. If you are in Chester, this is a must visit. Highly recommended!

A lovely cocktail bar serving the most tasteful cocktails. The man who I believe helps run the establishment Paul is full of knowledge and will help you choose the right cocktail for you. His enthusiasm is amazing, considering he's been working there for over 6 years. I thought he'd only just started as he was so keen and committed. It's definitely worth a visit and try the coffee & cream. We returned and had a meeting with the caretaker, Mr Johnson wow 👌 amazing 👏

Superb service and choice of tasty yet some unusual cocktails. (The double whiskey smokey one was just magic!) Dark and elegant atmosphere using mirrors and vintage-style lighting bulbs.

We came in here for a drink as usually the service is good. However, we ordered 3 different cocktails from the menu (scanned from the bar) to be told that they were not available, when I asked what was available the bar staff’s response was “I don’t know”….. go somewhere else

We happened upon this put on mishap while visiting Chester and halted in for a beverage. The beverages and administration we're similarly stunning. On the off chance that you can, sit at the furthest finish of the bar where there is really a corner style agreeable seat large enough most likely for 3-4 individuals. From here you can observe the entirety of the barkeeps do their specialty. In the end the bar topped off and was an extraordinary air for a Friday night. We stayed close by for any longer than expected!

Fabulous night thank you so much was the best place around and so helpful we had a fab table thanks to the caretaker would just love such a fantastic table when we return for a break for a few days next week if only we are so lucky , try this place you will be blown away

Fantastic place. Visited Saturday 21st August. Emily the bar lady was amazing, excellent customer service and would recommend this place just because of her. Atmosphere was lovely. We stayed in there for the night as service was outstanding 👌 definitely would go back.

Really cool atmospheric cocktail bar in heart of Chester. Great chilled out vibe, friendly staff and good cocktails. Will definitely visit again and happy to recommend to others. Only downside for me was the toilet, which whilst clean did smell. Recommend the Cinder Toffee Colada and/or Aloe Branch cocktails if you like them sweet.

Food was nice but place was very crowded. Tabkes seemed far too close together for social distancing.

This bar was described to us as "The Alchemist on steroids" and it did not disappoint! After spending the full day trying as many bars in Chester as we could fit in this place was recommended by every bar person that we spoke to and I have to say it was easily the best bar in Chester, by a mile! The service from the host, to the bar staff to the manager was exceptional, everyone really went out of their way to make you feel special. The cocktails are amazing and fairly priced, the music was at a nice level where you could enjoy your evening but also hold a conversation and Covid preparations were at the right level to keep you safe without spoiling your evening. I would highly recommend Liquor and Co for anyone visiting Chester, miss it and miss out. We will most definitely be back! Huge thanks to Mouse for looking after us for our anniversary, we could not have asked for more and had the most amazing evening. Every bar needs a Mouse!

Currently sat on the infamous table 11 at the end of the bar, Jake, our bartender was extremely attentive and asked what we fancied... gave a vague idea of what we tend to go for and he rustled up an absolute cracking off-the-menu cocktail! We arrived with no reservation however got a table sorted rather swiftly with management and doorstaff extremely polite! What a credit to the company!

Stumbled upon this bar by accident. Best accident we've ever had. Awesome atmosphere, awesome drinks, awesome staff. So good we went back again later in the evening. Can't wait to visit again.
