Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Ordered a sausage sandwich for a snack. 2 very thin sausage & 2 thin pieces of slightly less fresh bread. At a disappointing price of £5.50 thought this was overpriced.

Fantastic breakfast. Lovely ingredients and caring staff. Butchers sausage was top drawer not to mention the quality bacon. Keep up the great work.

Hoole has several options for eating, but venture slightly beyond the shops, to discover Hobson's Cafe, in the community centre. It has a toddler to elder citizen friendly environment, with a modest menu and healthy portions. Continuing the community feel, there is a strong sense of 'by the people, for the people'; a feel good factor after every visit.

Wonderful to find a cafe that does a full English that isn’t swimming in oil. Staff were really friendly. Only thing I would say is portions aren’t the biggest but the quality definitely makes up for the size.

Offers a great selection of locally-sourced food, hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes - all at very reasonable prices, especially for Hoole! There are also vegan and gluten-free options available. The service is fantastic too, most of the staff are volunteers and always happy to help. Highly recommended!

I have never seen such a SPREAD of Glorious Food as was offered last Friday after the funeral of a very special person. The care taken with the presentation of the food was like an art form. The amount of food never seemed to become less as it was constantly being 'topped up'. 100% a place to have a party/gatheting... the food (& space) is HEARTILY to be recommended. Finally, all the staff just SMILED and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely little local cafe in the local community centre. We we’re not sure what to expect but the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable.Sadly the centre is slightly off the main shopping centre and deserves to be busier.(We we’re there on a Saturday morning)There are several very nice cafes in Hoole so plenty of competition .Don’t let the fact this is in a community centre put you off it’s worth a visit.

Used to enjoy coming here and found it very friendly, particularly when old manager Amy ran the place. However on the last couple of occasions i’ve not found this to be the case, in fact quite the opposite and sorry to say unlikely to call in again or recommend

Introduced to this gem by a friend. We went for lunch as we wanted something decent but not over bearing due to having a little one with us. There is just a really nice feel to this. Lovely and clean. Lovely staff and decent no frills grub. Can't go wrong. Can't wait to go back.

Had lunch here a few weeks age. As it I was so cheap I was sceptical re the quality of the food, well, what can I say I was SO PLESANTLY SURPRISED. It was home made soup and a sandwich, the soup was home made well cooked nice and thick but not too thick. The sandwich was excellent served on good bread, I enjoyed it. Will be back and will pass the word. WELL DONE.

Hobson's cafe is brilliant and many of the home-made goodies are also gluten-free. It's part of the busy Hoole Community Centre and Library where there's so much going on and it's free to park on the car park.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

We visited with elderly inlaws on 31 July. A highpoint was going to be the cafe. Unfortunately there were no signs to tell us the cafe was closed until we got to the door. By then the inlaws were v tired and needed to sit down with a cup of tea etc. We had to drive back into Frodsham to find somewhere. Such a shame. More notices would help.
