The best restaurants in Cheshire West and Chester North West

Delicious breakfast! Lovely, Friendly staff! We visited here while on holiday and what a lovely garden centre! We had breakfast… fresh, delicious, great g/f options! And well priced… if we lived near here this would be a regular breakfast haunt for us!! Keep up the good work!

Hmm, what a disappointment! Cinder toffee ice cream was as delicious as ever. However the portion size of one scoop was definitely not the same size as on previous visits. It resembled more of a thimble full. 😪

Spent a lovely afternoon and night here good food and lovely staff . Nice rooms and comfortable bed , very nice breakfast and very atmospheric bar and restaurant

Driving towards the Birkenhead ferry. Check on here and the most likely option was here. Arriving early I sat in the bar. Selecting my menu the food was very tasty and fresh have to suspect the chips were frozen. Car parking is expensive just behind the hotel. minimum £7 for a few hours.

We waited one hour for the food to arrive even though there was nobody else was there. It was 3 degrees outside and the heating was off so I ate my lunch with my coat on. The food was nice when it arrived.

Brilliant staff and fantastic food. Always a pleasure to join the queue - yes, it's popular for very good reason!

Visited again with family...amazing value and superb steaks for under £15..cooked to perfection...Best homemade chips in Neston... Husband had fish and chips..2 had the steak and another had the chicken.. We all.had puddings and such good value...and included apple pie and ice cream...trifle and ice cream sundaes Service so fĺriendly.. Huge car park..seating outside front and clear of pub... large children's play room to rear..

Excellent food and friendly staff. The building is beautiful but the staff made us feel very welcome and the food was outstanding.

We called in here for breakfast as it was very close to the hotel where we were staying. It is on the ground floor of Chester’s historic “Rows” and has a very attractive interior with a vaulted ceiling. We had coffee and toast. The coffee was lukewarm. We were annoyed that they did not take cash.

The Royal Oak is a small /intimate pub with good, reasonably priced real ales and an opportunity to watch sport.

Lovely drink and food venue. Ice cream and milk shakes from an outside kiosk with a great outdoor area. same New resin pathway make the entrance nice and safe from the car park for those less able. Great cask ale on offer
