What a fantastic find. A friendly local pub with a very warm welcome. Super games area. Live music. They obviously work very hard at getting people through the door as lots of adverts for future events. Would definitely visit again if in the are.

First time going there. The biggest asset are the staff. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive. It was mid week at lunchtime so quite quiet but still incredibly friendly. The dog treats were a great success. The service was quick and the food came piping hot and the portion size was great. Very competitively priced. I will definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

What doesn’t this super friendly pub do? Not much ! The lovely couple who run the place do not stop . Nice pint, open for breakfast and lunch, car boots, open mic, live music, quiz nights. I had a nice stop over midweek and was well looked after. One ale on and a games room. Do ring ahead to see availability for vans. I think they provide 1 hook up too. Handy for a walk around “little Switzerland “ will Be calling back. Highly recommended. 🍻 🥓 🍳 🍻 🎱 🎶 🎤

Farmers Arms to the rescue! Me and my partner had been at my friends wedding 10minutes away from The Farmers Arms and our air bnb for the night... we got dropped out of our taxi next to the pub and told the driver wouldn't take us to our Airbnb as he couldn't find it. We walked a mile up the road in the rain and couldn't find it so we went to the pub for help. We had bags and wedding flowers to preserve so the kind owners offered to keep the flowers in water overnight for us to collect the next day. They pointed us in the right direction and eventually we found our place for the night! The next morning we returned to the fresh flowers and help to get back to our car at the wedding venue. Although we didn't eat or drink here (the menu sounds lovely) we just wanted to say a massive thank you to the most kind pub owners we have ever met! They cannot do enough for you and friendliness goes a long way! Thank you x

No Sunday lunch available, a limited bar menu with gammon and some snacks off the list. I had scampi which was ok though I realised later the cook had forgotten the lemon which would have helped. I was disappointed after the reviews I read. Was there a change of management recently? Male staff referred to me as pal and mate. Toilet looked like it wasn't cleaned today. The staff put the football on the TV apparently for their benefit, the two guys running the place didn't seem too interested in their customers. Viewing the unprofessional response I received today it doesn't look like improvements are imminent.

The two young ladies who served me throughout my visit were so incredibly nice and made all the right recommendations and the food was superb. Generally, I never take photos of food, but the desert was SOOO delicious I had to share it. I’ll always now make a point of visiting every time I have to get the Liverpool ferry back to Belfast. Dog friendly pub with a nice seating area outdoors too... staff were polite and friendly. It was quiet when we went. Myself and partner visited here after going Delamere Forest with the dog and reading some positive reviews. We both ordered the Gammon, we were quite disappointed though. The gammon was very thin and hard and the fat on the outside of it was not cooked properly and was grisly, my partner couldn't eat all of his gammon. We were asked if it was OK a few mins into getting it, hadnt tried the gammon by then, but didn't like to complain about it after we'd already been asked. They were good portions though.

What a great find in rural Cheshire. The outward appearance of a small cou try pub masks the lovely internal stonework decor. Real ales and food at exceptionally good value for money were a bonus. Whilst the soup was plain and low priced the Sunday Roasts were astounding value at under £10. Meat, mash, roasties, Yorkshire pub, red cabbage, green beans and loads of gravy made for a huge plateful of well prepared good quality food. Will go again

After a day walking around Delamere Forrest, and then a game of cricket, I was hungry when we got to The Farmers Arms. Service was great and friendly, and the beer garden was clean and nice, which is important as we had the family dog with us. My girlfriend and I ordered Pie & Mash with gravy, others in our party had Curry, burger and chips, sausage and mash, and fish and chips. Everything but our pie was well presented, and looked lovely. Our pies however were not pies. We had a small bowl of what seemed to be Bolognese meat, with some mash and a couple of flakes of cheese on top, with maybe a table spoon of peas, and no gravy. It was advertised as Pie with either chips or mash, with gravy and peas. It was extremely disappointing to get what we did, and we felt pressured into eating it, as we had been told the kitchen was soon closing, we were starving after a long day, and we were going back to the campsite, and tent. We would not recommend, or revisit The Farmers Arms, especially with so many nice pubs in the immediate area.

Traditional local pub that needs your support. Friendly atmospher & staff. There's good food, very well kept cask ales & friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. Events take place throughout the week but Thursday is unique in that it's Mountain Biking Club Night. Not one but two Mountain Biking Clubs meet here on a Thursday evening (7pm) they depart for separate rides around nearby Delamere Forest returning back to the Farmers Arms for a post ride drink , a chat & a laugh which generally involves a light hearted review of the night's ride. Both clubs are friendly & always happy to welcome new members to the fold.

Pre booked for the festive meal for a party of 9 . There was 1 person in room apart from us , the table wasnt even decorated for a Christmas meal . 8 of us asked for the festive meal , only to be told there is no TURKEY . We changed it for chicken and waited . 8 roast chicken dinners came to us , and 1 freshly cooked Lasagne ALL BURNT . After complaining 3 times and refusing to pay bill we agreed to pay 50'/. Of the bill . Next day we sent a complaint to the Manager Dave Cobb who firstly wished us a lovely christmas ??? Spoke briefly about our Stern critique ??? , ( it was not a criticism it was a COMPLAINT !!! ). There was no genuine apology from him , basically he said " it's impossible to satisfy every individual pallet ". Our pallets are great , it's the chef's cooking that's not palatable . It is a shame because the Hotel is lovely .

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.
