Amazing food with great service & atmosphere

Awful experience (again) on Friday evening, we chalked our previous negative experience down to a one off, but our most recent visit was even worse. Beautiful setting, beautiful food, completely ruined by the blasting cheesy pop music that does not fit the theme whatsoever. We ordered our starters whilst listening to ‘it’s raining men’ at full blast, to then eat them listening to Taylor Swift. All while a child is running around screaming and hitting people, staff completely content allowing it to continue. We did not stay for our mains, that’s two visits in two weeks equally as awful. Highly recommend people stay away from the Cheshire Oaks location, Liverpool is much better.

Good dining experience. Deco, ambience and staff are of high standards. Special offer for two, including drinks is a very good value for money, allowing to test a variety of different types of dishes. Food is very tasty. The place was very busy when we attended but staff seem to be very well organised and we didn't have to wait long to be seated and served.

First visit here, grandson recommended it. Really enjoyed the food, great service etc.. Lots of menu choices. Very busy but didn't feel crowded. Swing seats a great novelty but not for me with my bad back. Plenty of tables and chairs available for those not as adventurous.

This is a lovely Mowgli restaurant. I prefer this one to Birmingham. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Food delicious. Great place. However, you can't pre book. Around lunchtime, always a queue. But it's worth the wait

Only atmosphere. You can get 150% better tasty food with half of this price. Quantity is very less. If you are a good North Indian food lover I will not suggest. long Q always on weekends (I visited weekends ). Masala tea 300% waste.

I tried office tiffin box and everything was sweet and I think its not anymore an Indian restaurant. Masala chai is not good.

We had a lovely meal here. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, we loved the fairy lights and swing seats. The wait staff were friendly and although we had to wait outside, it didn’t take long and there were also heaters to keep us warm. The highlight was of course the food. Every dish was a flavour explosion in your mouth. Me and my wife decided to order a few little bits to share and it was definitely the best way to experience the different foods the menu has to offer.

As a Indian i can say it didn’t meet my standards, the food wasn’t even close to Indian food. I really liked atmosphere and staff, absolutely loved it. But i am really disappointed with food. I ordered lamb and butter chicken which basically tastes blind with no Indian flavour, i mean our main spices. curry tasted like some sort of fusion soup with chicken and lamb. Very very poor taste and as a Indian i am so disappointed that Mowgli represented my country cuisine in absolutely wrong way.

We thought the food was excellent, but I'd describe the service from the staff as inattentive. The 10% service charge is excessive, and a tip should be a gesture from the customer rather than automatically taken. Why would members of staff give good service when they know a substantial tip is being automatically taken?

A bit hit and miss this but that is entirely our fault. First visit we had the shared mix. We loved all of the dishes and went back a couple of weeks later and ordered the shared mix again. Unbeknown to us the dishes are random and on the 2nd visit we didn't like most of the dishes. If you know what you like it's no problem at all. Just be aware that the shared mix is random and changes daily.

Fab staff, really really nice staff, real asset. Food was spot on, restaurant was clean and comfortable. Friday 22nd Nov afternoon.

Always fantastic food and service. We go often, and the staff are starting to recognise us. Send help. In all seriousness, it’s fantastic. Can be a little busy, and loud. Swing chairs are a fun gimmick but can be frustrating.

Had to que to get in which is unusual and was skeptical as to why - was not expecting the food and value for money to speak for itself so loudly! My fiancé had been before and it was worth the wait. I like to play the game of guess the bill and try to put a £figure against the value of the meal - all in, food drinks service and charity donation i estimated ~£85 … was only £65 - over the moon and more than value for money! The food itself was outstanding - although the sticky chicken was tad sweet for what I expected, the lentils could have been cooked longer to create a creamier dish - but the rest was sublime! Lamb curry was out of this world, the slaw was an excellent accompaniment and the lentils (aside the previous comment) was well balanced and very good! Service was perfectly fine in a Very busy lunch service, but I really enjoy an attentive server and one willing to build a (albeit temporary) relationship. Overall very very good and well worth a visit! Will be back for sure

Amazing food literally Amazing service is top notch even explaining how to eat some of the delicacies (chat bombs are out of this world) usually very busy expect to queue at weekends. Everyone wants a swing seat ! Try a little bit of everything if your with friends cannot recommend enough

Today attempted to have lunch in Mowgli, for ths first time. First impressions were excellent, swungs looked interesting , lovely lights egc. The young lady who showed me to my seat was smiley and I asked for a recommendation.I spscifically said that chilly made me ill, due to numerous stomach complications. She suggested the sticky chicken . When it arrived, it was covered in chillies , both red and green. The replacement chicken took 15 minutes as the place was getting full. There were plenty of apologies, however, I had worked my timings out carefully!

The prices are different on the menu and different on the payment. £38 payment on the menu, £42 charge. Realized after. Be careful!!!

Portions are smaller than expected

This is my new favourite restaurant. The most authentic, tasty Indian food I have eaten outside of India.

Food is so MID! There’s no balance to the spices they’ve just loaded random things in. There’s no compliments to the flavours of the food, it’s either bland or super overbearing. No one likes cinnamon chicken when that isn’t what they’ve ordered. The decor is the only saving grace but you can tell that’s where the money has gone. Service is ok, no complaints there. Staff seem a bit overworked though given the footfall due to location

They look for a quick turnaround, food is great, cookery books are fab but portions are small. Often a queue outside to get in.

Fantastic food and the best place for food at Cheshire oaks

Having to write this review while still waiting for our food as im actually quite annoyed with the lack of accomodation to a simple request. Ordered the lamb chops and wanted to swap the fen fries for the treacle fries and pay the xtra £1. Asked the waitress and she said no. We asked her to ask the manager and he said no. Such a simple request and such a silly and unprofesssional denial. Very disappointing. Lets hope the food when it comes is worth it….🤞🏼

The food was delicious, offering a perfect balance of flavors that felt fresh and satisfying. The menu had a variety of options, making it easy to find something to enjoy. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. First visit to mowgli after passing this place many times before when visiting the outlet. Not too busy later on a Saturday night just before the outlet sure, staff still had a good level of interest in what you required and gave good advice about the menu etc. Our waiter explained that it's more on the tapas style for a curry, so order a few different dishes each, which was good advice. The portions aren't tiny but not your regular curry house size. We had 2 meat dishes, rice, roti, and a potato side dish. This was plenty for us, but if you have a big appetite, you may require another dish. The food is nice, hot as it should be, and the dishes come in little bowls so easy to share. Prices of the food aren't bad, but the drinks are expensive at £5 or above for a 330 bottle or coke size can of beer. Overall, it was a nice place with a good atmosphere and a nice setting. I wouldn't recommend the swing seat. They look good but aren't the most comfortable and aren't really practical. But if you want a fun setting, they are fine. Give it a try. It's worth a go.

Excellent street food restaurant. Small plates of spicey, perfect, tasty cooked food. Really tasty dishes. Efficient, friendly service. Good selection on the menu, including choices for vegetarians. Drinks choice is good too. Some seating is on swings hanging from above, quite novel and fun. A really enjoyable place to eat and food is top class and reasonably priced. This us one of my favourite places to eat at Cheshire Oaks and at it does get busy but the wait for a table is usually not too long but it is worth the wait. Situated amongst the shops at Cheshire Oaks. Good disabled access all on the same level with accessible toilets on site.

Wow!!! This place has the most amazing food! We called in for a spontaneous lunch while out on a rare shopping trip, and this place really made our day! We went for the sharing platter options (£25 per person), which were 3 courses of epic food. It was great to see this option was available as a fully vegetarian version, but we did opt for the meat. See the pictures attached to this review for the full menu - I promise it will not disappoint! Every bite was delicious and so well presented. Staff were attentive and friendly, even though it was obviously a busy lunch service. My daughter is vegetarian, and I can't wait to bring her to try all the vegetarian options available.

Not cheap but good value - great staff, comfortable seating in bar and seperate restaurant. Very welcoming.

Shame about the service charge because the waitress would have got double that if we could choose to give a tip instead!

First visit here. Staff very helpful. Food delicious. Will be back. Returned and our visit was as good as the first. Our waitress Catherine was excellent. And one of the managers (who's name I didn't get), was very helpful too.

Mowgli food is always bang on the target, plentiful, freshly cooked, tasty as. Great staff and the swing seats are so cool 😎 I had the workers tiffin, 4 selected dishes and all of them great 👍🏼

Had an amazing time with my family at Mowgli's including my mum in a wheelchair and my Dad who's very ill as well. The restaurant is easily accessible for people with disabilities. There was a bit of a wait due to it being lunchtime but the staff improvised and sorted a great table for us all. The food is excellent, lots of variety and exciting options and even some non-spicy foods for more sensitive mouths. Service was quick and the servers were cheery and attentive, even during a busy period. Overall very happy with the meal and my Mum thoroughly enjoyed her birthday!

I have just left without being seated, waited only a few moments for the maitre de’s attention, which was just a look, asked for a table for two, to which he said yes and then turned his back on us to have a conversation with two other staff, after a minute or two after he turned his back on us we left This is a great shame as I know the food is excellent and I am sure this dos not reflected the image of the owner

The food is okay, okay, but atmosphere is fantastic. Although they claim the food to be authentic Indian food, it’s absolutely far from what the dish is and heavily on the sweetest side.

This was my first time visiting Mowgli at Cheshire oaks and it was fabulous! The food and service was amazing! Our server Alice was so lovely, she answered all of our questions and even gave us recommendations on all the best dishes, I would definitely recommend!

Great food and service. While other restaurants turned us away due to the time (was an hour before closing) they said they had no problem with it.

The menu is brilliant, we ordered lots of smaller dishes to try. The kids curry was lovely, and the Treacle fries were our favourite. We visited at around 5.30 on a Tuesday and was seated right away.

The place looks lovely, was our first time in Mowgli and food was delicious, amazing service, friendly staff. I would like to thank Chloe-Lou for helping us and sharing knowledge with the food.

Lovely atmosphere,the Bunny Chow was one of the best Currys for the price I have ever had,the curry was served in lovely fresh bread, which was delicious,my only criticism is that the water they serve was warm,it is bottled and left out on the bar counter, get this right and then it couldn't be falted for a very tasty meal at very reasonable prices

Very busy in Cheshire Oaks, never been before so not sure how it worked. Its similar to Tapas, small plates and variety. My grandaughter wanted to go because of the swing seats, but actually loved the butter chicken. I had the chip butty and chicken bites. The food was delicious. Waiting staff were helpful and attentive. Maybe a little pricey. Was very busy so atmosphere a bit hectic, not the right spot if you want a quiet dinner.

Pay money and feel hungry. Not worth money. Quality and quantity of food does not justify the cost.

Love Mowglis and this is our favourite one. Our server Chloe-lou was so friendly and helpful. Food is always so fresh and tasty.

Dined out at the Cheshire Oaks restaurant in August. Food, Service and Atmosphere was great. We ate off the set menu which was plenty and fabulously varied - we enjoyed everything. Everywhere was clean and tidy, server was great, it was super busy everywhere due to weather and school holidays, but everything was great - loos were clean and tidy too - will definitely return

Pet friendly ❤️🐾 From the moment we entered we felt welcome. Food, drinks and service at the highest level. Our waitress Chloe took care of us from the very beginning. The place was amazing, but what impressed us the most were the swings.

We had a lovely meal at Mowgli tonight to celebrate finishing chemo! Kelsey was a lovely server who was so kind and friendly and as always the food was incredible. Can’t wait to come back and get some more stamps in the new passport elsewhere!

Came to mowgli today as two couples. We were ended up going for the sharer menu which was absolutely to die for! If you’re stuck for what to have this is a great option. Everything that came was delicious and the drinks were out of this world! The service was spot on. Our server Chloe-Lou was great! Super friendly and very helpful! She was always checking in seeing if we needed anything and super fast with taking plates and making sure the next course was to us fast! Lovely time, thank you!🫶🏼

Don’t fall for this tourist trap – the nice decor is just overcompensating for the awful food. As an Indian I can honestly say this was some of the worst, inauthentic Indian food I’ve ever had. The flavours were barely there, the chicken dishes were so so dry, and most of the dishes were just filled with leaves, leaving hardly a couple pieces of the actual dish. Save your money and AVOID.

Our first family visit with our girls and they loved it. Special thanks to Kirsty for looking out for us when we got near the front of the queue and being so helpful in sorting us a table with swing seats :) Great food and mocktails too!

We had a lovely street food sharer set menu and we were super impressed by the way the food was served as well as the quantity! We loved the chat bombs, fries and gunpowder chicken coming together as a first course followed by the curry, rice and roti. The staff were smiley and very hospitable! Thanks for having us, we have had a lovely Friday treat.
