Soon as we walked into the restaurant, we knew this was going to be great. We where greeted, offered a table and the drinks order was taken. The decor and cleanliness of this place is amazing. I had a Chicken Chatt starter and my wife had the Prawn Cocktail. They where both superb. For the mains I had a Lamb Madras and my wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Along with Naan breads for sides, we both agreed, this was the best weve ever had. We didnt waste a bit and ended up taken what we where too full to eat, home. It really was perfect and I definitely cant rate this place highly enough. The owner and the team are soo friendly. The place is so clean and welcoming and the food is incredible. The bar has a huge variety of drinks including Draught Cobra. Thank you for looking after us chaps. We will definately be back, over and over again.

We went here for my birthday and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent with great service and friendly, attentive staff. They even sang 'Happy Birthday' when they brought in a speciality ice cream topped with a candle! This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere.

Excellent indian restaurant that serves great food. The chicken saag was great and tandoori chicken tikka i had was superb. £44 for 4 poppadoms with onion, 2 mains with chips and naan and 2 cokes.

Everything we visit the forts the service and the food never disappoints. I had the chi tk naga special and it was fantastic.

We visited F of I this last week to have our Valentines meal a day early. We were not disappointed, it had been quite a while since we last visited and although there were a lot of new faces, the friendly and welcoming service was as good, if not better than we remembered. Still a very extensive and interesting menu and my favourite of dish, lamb bengal was still there on the lineup. The mains were very large generous portions and packed with delicious meet, not the 3 or 4 chunks of meat hidden amongst a mass of sauce as is often the case in many Indian restaurants. The naans were as good as ever and totally perfect along with the Peshawari rice. The house red wine was very drinkable. My only slight criticism would be that we weren’t routinely asked if required more drinks, but in many ways this was quite a nice change to being constantly asked.

Our first visit. It was a late booking but the staff returned my call and staff were very accomadating and helpful...the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Great choice on the menu and when the food came it was fresh, hot and full of flavour....Good choice of drinks and staff are very attentive but also you don't feel interrupted. We will definitely be going back....its a great place for special occasion or just a friday/Saturday night layed back curry night. Thank-you Forts of India

Been coming here since our daughter was 5..she's now 18 and it's just as special to us now as it was then. We travel from Liverpool so can't come as often as we'd like but come when we can. The food is INCREDIBLE. The staff are wonderful. So so friendly and kind..they really look after you. Every dish we've tried has been beautiful. Recommend chicken shashlik, tandoori King prawn and the sauces such as balti, masala and the pathia are immense with amazing mind blowing flavours! Booked for Nye and really looking forward to it. If you're considering going..please try it..you won't regret it! Oh and the person who said it's shabby inside must wear his glasses next time because it's gorgeous inside with beautiful intricate decorations. The place looks like it needs a deep clean. Waiting area Seats are tired and worn. Toilets look and feel unclean and grubby. I feel if this is what we can see, what’s the kitchens like?!

The food and service was dreadful!!! We had to wait a long time for our food and we enquired three times when it would arrive. When our meals eventually arrived the garlic and onions in two of the curries were raw and unedible. All of the curries were tasteless, bland and not very hot. The sag paneeer did not resemble anything i had eaten before - it was like the cheese and spinach had been warned up in a korma sauce. No one came to check to see if our meals were okay. After the other meals were finished we tried to order drinks with 3 different waiters but nothing arrived. The whole evening was a waste of money, which was ashame as the evening out was for my dad's birthday treat. We wont be going back.

Woweee!! A good Indian restaurant at last!! From the brilliant service to the delicious food we could not fault this fantastic restaurant! The best Indian we have tried in Cheshire by far! It’s 40 minutes for us but absolutely worth it!!!

Visited with my Dad and the family last night. Excellent professional serice, food was delicious and not salty, just full of flavour. King prawn sagwala was beautiful with big succulent prawns. Lovely naan bread, lots of vegetarian options. Really nice evening, thank you 👍

Well haven’t had a curry for a while and decided to head over to the “Forts” of Indian” Wow! Just had the best curry 🍛 I’ve ever tasted. Flavoursome, tasty and delicious 🤤 I’d have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. Food 🍲 arrived piping hot, well presented and cooked to perfection. Staff friendly and attentive. Amazing……. What Time Is It? It’s Curry 🍛 O’Clock! You’ve got to try this place……

Me and my family visit our local Indian once every month and this place never fails to impress. The food and service is always faultless regardless how busy it is.

We ordered a collection New Years Eve and how disappointed we was when we got it home. We don’t live far at all, never had trouble collecting and bringing it home. But this time the food was cold, we couldn’t get through on the phone lines as was engaged for ages to speak to someone about the situation.

Come here every couple of weeks for a takeaway. Meat in particular is great quality lovely prawns and tikka meats. The sauces could be a little better in my opinion but the rest is delicious. Lovely onion bhajis and chat starters.

Have been here tonight for a meal with my mum, the staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave amazing advice on what was on the menu and have even managed to encourage my mum to try something different so thank you would highly recommend.

Went to Forts of India on the 22nd Feb and it was probably the best Indian I have ever had, and I love an Indian. Service was fantastic, food was quality and came in reasonable time. I would recommend the Lamb Bengal! I will definitely be going again.

A visit with friends. Nice service and very good food. Had poppadoms, starters and mains, all nice but we struggled to eat it all. Will order less next time.

Delicious food and excellent service with plenty of parking. We had poppadoms with tasty chutney tray, sheesh kebab, madras, Bhuna and garlic naan. All dishes were very tasty and perfect portion sizes! Main was a bit slow arriving but they were busy and it was delicious, I will definitely be back!

We were staying locally and we always enjoy an Indian so we booked here and weren’t disappointed.The staff were very friendly and the decor pretty decent too.Extensive menu with some dishes I haven’t seen before and draught cobra. Lovely.We ordered poddadoms and pickle tray. Freshly cut onion and several dips to choose from and crispy warm poppadoms. Great start.I had vegetable samosas and they were piping hot, crispy pastry and stuffed full of vegetables. Superb.For main course we ordered southern Indian chicken garlic dish and chicken tikka sizzle plate with a vegetable curry side dish and 2 garlic naans.The chicken was top drawer. Succulent, tasty and with slight spice. Huge chunks for my wife’s dish and large slices of breast for my dish.The salad was fresh as was the lemon too which you don’t always get. It was also pretty busy for a Monday night.Piping hot, with some fabulous flavours to taste. These were excellent. We couldn’t finish our meals there was that much to eat.With drinks £54. Very good value meal.Coming from Bradford, I eat curry regularly and this is up there with the best of them, if not better.

First visit for some time , the place has been refurbished and the recently won awards are proudly displayed ! Party of 6, a range of dishes ordered.Popadoms were excellent, onion Bhaji the same. Various curries - Balti Garlic Chilli was a tad too hot for my taste. Well cooked rice and peshwari nan were good as were sides.Reasonable prices, good atmosphere and friendly staff.We’ll be back again soon.

My first visit. Busy place midweek with friendly staff. Onion bhajis were to my liking. The house chicken curry was tasty as was the Kerala chicken although very creamy - but I was warned about that. Reasonable small wine list.

Located out of the way on the A41 between Whitchurch and Broxton, this restaurant is easy to overlook which we have done many times.

This was our first visit to Forts of India with our friends, who eat here regularly. First impressions were - well, impressive. Extremely tasteful decor. We were greeted by very pleasant staff who, after that, couldn't have been more friendly without being overbearing, chatting, making sure everything was ok. We were not rushed, and, after placing our orders, settled down to an excellent evening of food and service. If you want your meal a certain way, no problem. Want this taken out, this added, again no problem. Our friends went for a Chicken Tikka Sizzler and a Forts "Tower" (not spelt correctly by me!) while I plumped for Naga Delight and my wife Chicken Bengal. The food was outstanding, especially the Bengal dish, something I had never tasted before after having a sneaky mouthful from my wife's plate. Sides included Keema Rice, Garlic Naan (not the largest I've seen but tbh it was enough) and salad. The staff are a credit to this establishment, and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning 5*

The food, service & atmosphere fantastic will definitely be returning. Car park a bit small and limited spaces. Busy but treated like we were the only ones here by the staff, everything you want for a restaurant will definitely be returning

Stumbled on this gorgeous food heaven by chance today. The food was tasty and the waiting staff were professional and friendly. No wonder people were trooping in for both take-away and sit down meal. Wife was pleased.

The service is great here. Very professional and friendly. From the moment they take your coat to the handshake you get upon leaving it feels very 5 star for a curry house. Of course the food has to be mentioned and this is very good. We've also had food to go and the takeaway portions are very good value for money. Would highly recommend this place

My Partner and I love curry (especially spicy ones) and we have eaten many different dishes at many different restaurants in many different places. Yet this is the best around, without a doubt! We kee coming back here and we always look forward to eating at the Forts. From the excellent customer service, the warm, welcoming, relaxed staff will do there best to fit you in, even without a booking if they can); to the amazing flavours in the curries (you do not need to ask for extra spices, they get it spot on every time), to the relaxing atmosphere... we are always impressed! Our favourites are the Madras and Pathia, but even the milder curries such as the Balti and Massala are also lovely. The prices are slightly on the more expensiive side, but you get what you pay for... Would definitely reccommend to anyone, no matter what you're tastses.

We have not been to Forts of India for many months as our first visit put us off, but I can say this visit was faultless, greeted at the door, was found a table almost instantly as we had not booked, fast, efficient, friendly service, chicken pakora is best I’ve ever had, with lovely cuts of chicken, main course was just as good, food was excellent, so glad we gave it another try, i would now recommend this 100%

We visited this restaurant for the first time on Valentines Night. We were a little concerned knowing that this restaurant had failed several times in the past under different owners.

We came here after work and the service that we get is always amazing and faultless the food is out of this world every time that’s what makes us come back every week thanks again for a great meal we will be back soon

From the minute we walked through the door we were met with such a warm welcome. The staff who greeted us were very friendly. Led us to our table, offered us drinks. We had three courses and started with popadoms, of course, and a chutney tray, they were delicious. Followed by a starter each, again, so tasty then on to our mains. We both went for something we have never had and we were not let down at all. My partner had the Rogan Josh and I had the ‘Kashmarir’ (I think that’s how it spelt), which had pineapple and banana in, I’ll defiantly be ordering it again. Throughout the whole meal we were checked in on at regular intervals. We weren’t pestered at all. When we came to leave, again we were greated at the bar by the warm welcoming staff. We will be going again, sooner rather later. Thank you so much Forts of India and all your staff for such a pleasent evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our rare date night.

The forts of india is by far the best indian in Cheshire. The food is always amazing especially the Naga delight and the Ajabaje the waiters are very friendly and greet all customers with a smile. Another great weekend at the FORTS OF INDIA

Have been getting takeaways on a monthly basis, sometimes the food is excellent and other times it is not so good, as the same curry I have ordered can be different from one month to the next. Shame it is inconsistent, however the staff are always very hospitable.

Two of us are here Saturday night , very friendly helpful staff . Helped pick out dish and great recommendation both of us thoroughly enjoyed our food 😋 . Hope to visit again really soon !

I visited forts of india with my girlfriend a few weeks ago on a friday night, the service was good and the atmosphere was okay, the knock versions of chart hits from yesteryear didn't help. Food was good with large potions, we are both veggie and there was a good selection for us.

First time here and it’s a very pleasant experience. Staff friendly, food good and a pretty good atmosphere with quite a few people in on a Saturday night. Decor is not particularly my taste but then this is an Indian restaurant in a former pub in the middle of nowhere and they seem to be doing alright - good on them. Worth a visit.

We came here on a Wednesday night with a few friends we come here a lot .the server that we had had only been here a couple of days and the service he gave was amazing he chatted with us and had a good laugh nothing was too much trouble we shall definitely be returning again keep up the good work forts of India

I was alone, away working and phoned up for a take away. When I arrived the place was so nice and the staff so welcoming, I decided to stay and eat. The meal was freshly prepared and was one of the best Indian meals I had ever tasted. The hospitality was first class. I wish we had a place like this in my home town!

Went on a Wednesday evening, first impressions were nice, and found the staff to be friendly, Moomin looked after us and explained the various dishes. All four of us enjoyed our starters and main courses....will visit again.

Quick review. The best in the area. Staff are brilliant. Food is top notch. We travel from tarporley to eat in dine out. Prices reasonable. No reason to risk anywhere else.

First visit to this popular Indian restaurant and we were very pleased with the choice and they provided excellent friendly service and great food washed down with a couple of Carlsberg. Definitely worth a visit.

Came for a family meal with relatives who live nearby. This was our 2nd time here and once again, what a fantastic experience it was! The food and service was exceptional, staff brilliant too. One regret...we live in Nottingham so can't come more often! It would definitely be a regular haunt for us if we lived closer.

We were yet again looked after by the wonderful staff at the Forts of India in Malpas, we have been going to this restaurant since it opened many years ago and thankfully nothing has changed. The food is excellent, the staff are lovely and you leave feeling so pampered and always look forward to the next meal there. It is always a treat to come to this fantastic Indian restaurant.

Food is really poor quality and that’s the second time in a row. The service is worse than the local Mcdonalds and that says it all.

I definitely recommend Forts of India. I was there on Saturday evening (24th March), for the first time, as a group of 4 people. The staff were welcoming and engaging and the food was superb. I will visit again.

Have eaten takeaway and eat in from the business many times over the years and it always tastes great ! The down side is that the service - takes F O R E V E R !

Don't get me wrong - food is good - but the service on Saturday was just disgraceful. Had booked a table for 8pm for a special occasion and arrived 3 minutes early. We were told that the table wasn't ready. By 8.10pm we were finally shown to our table. We then had to wait a further 15 minutes before anyone brought the menus and an even further 15 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order. Drinks and poppadoms finally arrive at 8.55pm (ie: 50 minutes after the table had been booked for & 45 minutes after we had taken our seats). At 9.30pm they finally came to take our food order and we then had to wait a further 40 minutes before the food arrived at 10.10pm (2 hours 10 minutes after sitting down). By 10.35pm I asked for the bill and had to wait a further 15 minutes for the privilege of paying! Just not good enough and with my employer offering so many staff discounts to local indian restaurants I certainly won't be going back in a hurry.

Have experienced both takeaway and restaurant. Both are quite simply superb. Cannot wait to try it again sometime soon.
