I am an almost daily regular of this excellent pub. I'm a professional writer and this is my favourite writing haunt. There's an excellent special offer for those working from home at brewhouse, with great surroundings and plenty of power sockets. Excellent food and drink, pleasant and personable staff and a free biscoff with your brew of which I am particularly fond. Cannot reccomend a place more highly.
Great food and very reasonable ... we had squid, chilli prawn, honey chipolatas, sliders and bloody mary fries! Everything was fanastic, we can't wait to come back. Great service by thomas too 👏
Great atmosphere, friendly, informative staff. Our food choices were pre ordered 2 days before, as we sat down with drinks, we were asked ,are we ready for food, we didn't have to spend ages deciding what to have . It was underway and everything available

The best Italian restaurant in Chester! First time I came here, I had the Margarita pizza, it was cooked to perfection. Today, I had the lasagne, it was without a doubt, the best lasagne I have ever tasted! If you’re in Chester and want to taste genuine Italian food, go to Sergio’s, 11/10 would recommend to anyone❤️
Positives are the food was great again, negative was the total lack of recognition for the special occasion it was which had been phoned through by my wife, she put on a spectacular day for my 60th birthday and this was supposed to cap it off, she was promised a glass of something special for me and a toast which non of it happened, I knew nothing about this and she told me after, also my son had a glass of the house lemonade , first one he loved, the second was flat, when he told the waitress 5 mins later he reply " it was fizzy when I brought it" and made it slightly uncomfortable with her stance. Could have been 5 star as the food was great but let down by details, I did write in about the issues, they offered to give me the experience I deserved if I returned with free deserts but that would cost another £180 so I think I will pass on that!!, only one winner in that deal.

Just seen the reply from Cote and we didn't get a free round we got 2 glasses for 4 people? so that also was dissapointing.
We went here as we had Tesco vouchers which I think a lot of people had and this may explain the prices for the food you get. You had to pick off the a la carte menu, I had Beef Bourguignon for £18.35 which contained two pieces of beef and a large amount of beefy mushrooms on a bed of mash. It looked very meaty but only two pieces. The King Prawn starter was nice at nearly ten pounds. There was quite a wait to be served as there seemed to be a changeover from the breakfast to the lunch sitting and someone from the kitchen staff ended up running out with the starters.
If I did not have the Tesco vouchers I would not have been very happy at the prices charged, but the restraunt is still getting those full prices for the vouchers used I presume. The thing is you would never visit again based on the price for the mushroom Bourguignon and also the Cesar salad which was about £14 and you had to pay extra for chicken.
Lovely experience down there : I dined several times during my stay and I’ve never been disappointed. Among Christian’s warm welcome, comfortable ambiance and delightful meals, you cannot get it wrong in choosing this restaurant !
Ale was nice and the food was good. The Brazilian curry taster plate was spicy and the potatoes were nice and crispy. Chilli con carne was a little sweet for my taste.
