Absolutely fabulous night , Sam was so good and interesting, the bar staff are lovely , food gorgeous and freshly cooked. The beer and whiskey pairing was a great night.

Dont eat here if you have allergies. We called ahead twice for our prepaid Christmas meal to let them know about allergies - they assured us the allergies would be catered for. When we arrived they said the kitchen had heard nothing and that they couldn’t guarantee anything was free from allergens, and to prepare our epipen just in case.

Beer & Whiskey Masterclass This was purchased as a present from my son for my birthday. We went along on Friday night to be met by Michael the manager of Brewhouse Chester who warned us of the cheesy jokes to come. The evening was fantastic and exceeded our wildest expectations, although we thought we knew a fair amount about beer and whiskey, the whole evening took everything to another level and to top it off food was included. Already planning the next visit can’t wait

We had a masterclass, Micheal was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The beer and whiskys were tasteful (neither are a drink of my choice). The meeting room was a nice change to the normal hotel rooms we used. Would highly recommend.

I'd booked Christmas lunch for 24 members of our badminton group. Service was very good and the staff friendly and courteous. I had submitted a pre-order form for the meals and the staff delivered them to the correct people each time! My only slightly negative comment is the main course food could have been hotter and some meals were missing roast potatoes! However this was corrected by staff bring out several dishes of them so nobody missed out. Provision of cranberry sauce was a bit slow but, overall a pleasant lunch experience.

Paid £30 to secure the booking, which is fine, but it wasn't clear how to get that back. Had to ask staff to get the manager to get me my money back when we were leaving. Sketchy AF.

This is the most dog friendly pub I’ve ever been to! We felt like the dogs were wanted instead of just accepted and tolerated. All the staff were amazing, very friendly and professional. The food was unbelievable! We had a range as there was 6 of us. The Sunday dinner, steaks and burgers we had were delicious and to a high standard. We love that on the menu it tells you what pint would complement your food! The drinks were lovely and the building itself was lovely decorated and very clean. We will definitely be back and we will recommend to everyone (especially with dogs).

We went for a whisky and beer testing. The person who ran the event was really good. The drinks they offered and the meal we had at the end was very good too. I highly recommend. We also went for drinks. They have really good Ipa's.

We always have a great time when visiting Brewhouse. Great food and drinks. Probably the best selection of beers on pump in Chester, most of which are brewed inhouse. Great downstairs seating for meetings/events and plenty of space upstairs for when sporting events are on. Staff are very knowledgeable too

Was there for dinner, booked online. It was chosen as it had steak pie on menu, and no others seemed to offer this Arrived on time, and was pointed to a table ( not shown just pointed, with" that one there") Food arrived rather quickly. Obviously done in microwave, soggy pastry mash just splodges on plate, with no vegetables other than a sprig of grren leaf (no idea what it was) . Rather tastless as well. Wife had the fish, same thing tasted like done in a microwave soggy batter No customer interaction. Very poor service. Don't expect much but a simple "good evening..or enjoy your meal etc" did mention my birthday that day...nowt not so much as "is it" or anything I am sure after few beers food is great, but my experience is not good. We went to pay and even that was a drama, 4 times my card was presented for payment, for it to be comings up cancelled transaction. I wad then asked to insert card and enter pin. Now I didn't like that idea. So different card ..same thing, transaction cancelled. I did eventually pay by Google pay, but all seemed very strange No apology no explanation not even a thanks or good evening. Sign of the times I guess

Just had an absolutely wonderful Beer Experience Day at Chester... Michael was a wonderful host and a huge thank you for Head Brewer Liam with whom we spent the whole day. His knowledge is immense and myself and my wife thoroughly enjoyed his company. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Popped in for dinner before a show at the nearby Storyhouse. As they brew their own beer (you can see the brewery bit downstairs) it would be rude not to try one. The Festbier was very tasty and went well with the schnitzel burger and chips. Fish and chips also looked good. Service was really friendly and quick without ever feeling hurried. Prices were fair for the portions and quality. Definitely recommended (-:

Staff were lovely and a great choice of drinks in a lovely building. I went for the currywurst which had no sauce whatsoever on them, so they basically served me sausage and chips. I asked for some sauce as I hadn't ordered sausage and chips, which rhe lady brought me in a little bowl. Very dissapointed as they're advertising it as a place to visit to celebrate Oktoberfest!!!

Was bought a Brewery Experience as a present. What an incredible day out. First of all I would like to thank the staff (especially Liam the Head Brewer) for making the experience really very special. Right from the welcome cup of tea and bacon butty through to the last ale of the day, it was all a very well organised, enjoyable day. The food menu was absolutely spot on and ALL of the home brewed ales were all very nice. I would very highly recommend this as a very special experience.

We held our 50th Wedding Anniversary in the Cellar Bar on the 7th September with 70+ people attending. We could not have wished for a better place to hold our celebration, the buffet was superb (thank you chief Karel), my son put a presentation on the TV showing our wedding photos etc & we put together a play list which we ran through the speakers. A big thank you to the two bar staff Tathan & Rob who worked hard all evening, nothing was to much trouble. A big thank you to Angie & Michael who helped organised our celebration, they were very helpful with queries, nothing was to much trouble. We have both received lovely feedback from our friends & family saying they loved the venue, enjoyed the food & what a great time they had. Thank you all at the Brewhouse & Kitchen Chester.

My husband and I went here after a day at Chester Zoo and everyone in here was lovely! there was a bit of an issue with one of the items ordered as it hadn’t gone through the till but everyone handled it amazingly! when i asked for something to be wrapped up, although they didn’t have takeaway boxes a lovely woman got thr kitchen and got them to wrap it and they even put reheating instructions on the box!

We really enjoyed the beer and whisky pairing followed by a meal from the regular menu. Sam, our host was very knowledgeable and took us through the history of both beverages with a tasting of 5 whiskies and 5 in-house brewed beers. An enjoyable experience shared with two fellow tasters. The tasting finished with burgers and chips - just the job after a generous quantity of alcohol. All in alll great value and fun!

Amazing service We travelled an hour to come visit for lunch yesterday - well worth it. Lovely personal service. Brilliant food, with excellent flavours. The tropical IPA was a personal favourite of mine! Was very impressed to have met and spoke to the chef also, was a nice added touch. Will be visiting again! Thank you

Great find, just off the Main Street, for a super Sunday Roast, including a kids roast for our two children ages 7 & 9. Delicious food, good vibes, very relaxing. Loved Chester & loved this place.

Went on a whiskey/whisky and beer pairing event absolutely fabulous learned so much and hugely entertained by Michael and of course enjoyed the Whiskey and beer finished off with lovely food made by Karel, would highly recommend, my mind was blown by the in house brewery amazing.

Had a fun and informative time at the beer and whiskey pairing experience. The burger meals we had were great too. Michael really knew his stuff. Definitely recommend.

We turned up with a group of 18 people with no booking and the staff were amazing, really accommodating. The service was quick and everyone was really friendly. Special mention to Dom who was our server for this evening! Thank you!

Me and my family walked in looking for a nice drink, but we were met with the most outrageous and rude response from one of the staff members. It was vile and it put me off going in there. The woman said that certain tables were reserved in one room so we came into the other room, sat at a table and was met with the nastiest attitude from her. She bounced over and said “This table is reserved, can’t you see people are sitting here. This is reserved.” like ok yes no need to bounce over and give us snotty attitude. Ridiculous.

Nice frame Rather quiet the evening we went to eat there The table was in a dark place with no light above the table so we ate in the dark The dishes were served even though the starters had not been cleared and when we made the comment to the waiter he did not like it… I think this experience is not necessarily representative of the place but it leaves a mixed taste and I will not return there

The service was great as we arrived late with the kitchen about to close but it was no problem at all. Through no fault of the staff there was an issue with one of the bought in meals from a supplier. The team really did their best to sort it out and the Chef, who was a great guy, even came out of the kitchen to apologise and make sure we got what we needed. What then came was lovely and couldn't be faulted. There was a great selection over 10 different types of excellent beer available on tap, many of which are brewed on site It was a bit quiet but only to be expected at 8 on a Sunday evening. Overall I would highly recommend Brewhouse.

Visited for a drink during our recent visit to West Kirby. Great selection of beers and friendly staff. Would definitely visit again.

Place was empty when we entered Monday evening. Ordered drinks, and barman explained about brewery. Short changed by £10, which was corrected when pointed out. It was however not done sympathetically or sincerely. If you allow this to happen in your business premises at least make it look like a genuine mistake, poor show, I won't be coming back.

Can't comment on food as didn't eat here this evening. Nice enough venue, good atmosphere. Sports channels on big screen tvs if you want to watch them, good choice of ipa's.

We attended the whiskey and beer pairing event and enjoyed our evening. Sam was excellent and worked hard to help us make the most of the experience under challenging conditions from some of the "merry" participants. A fun evening, thanks.

This is a really cool building that holds a brew house that brews most the beer for the bar. The beer was very very good, the two people that served me were great and a shout out to the kitchen staff, the food was great! If you're in the area, come here!

We did the beer master class here. For the price it was good, meal included. But honestly, they could have made this experience a million times better with some simple adjustments. For one, the host was just monotone reading his script at a million miles an hour and it felt so impersonal and rushed, it felt like he wanted to get it done as fast as possible, there was no personality to it, it felt totally commercial like we were just being fed in and spat out. Take a breather dude, slow down, put some thought into how you communicate. Other than that the info provided was interesting and beers were nice. I hope they take critical feedback because it could be so much better just from the delivery alone.

As a group of 6, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at this venue, prior to going to the races. From when we walked in the manager and staff member were welcoming, friendly and looked after us throughout the afternoon really well. The food and drink options were really good and even though we had a small complaint about one of the mains, the manager dealt with it very efficiently. We will certainly use this venue again when we go the races, thank you for an enjoyable afternoon 🍻

A lovely meal with friends. We weren't rushed, waitress was lovely, helpful and polite. Service was quick. We were able to easily split and pay the bill.

This is a delightful place to spend some time relaxing and sampling some food and drink which is prepared and brewed on the premises. The management and staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and the ambiance and decor is cosy and relaxing. We have dined and drank here many times now and have never been disappointed. Perhaps it isn't as cheap as some nearby establishments, but it definitely feels more personal and professional. Top marks!!!

I went to Chester BHK for the Beer and Whisky pairing as a present. Excellent selection and guided tasting tour, and a bonus mini brewery tour and meal that we weren't expecting! Thank you Michael and team.

Welcome was good and initial table service prompt. Great to see a very low alcohol beer available on draught. All the beer is a bit pricey but nice there are some cask conditioned offerings as well as the predominant keg ones. Food was hit and miss. Fish & chips were fine, Caesar salad had too much dressing for the rest of the ingredients. Macaroni Cheese seemed as if it had been re-heated more than once and looked a bit sorry for itself. Side order of rosemary and parmesan fries wasn’t delivered initially and only normal fries were served after the reminder. All in all, nothing major to complain about but nothing spectacular either. There is better beer and better food available elsewhere in Chester.

Popped in yesterday for some lunch while visiting family in Chester had a lovely meal , i had a ribeye steak and a juicy crush cider which was very nice , will be back to try some more of your delights next time we're in the area

The food was great and arrived very quickly......I always thought my local Italian restaurant did the best cheesecake.......no its this place......the pie was great also......the ales are just what you would expect from a place with brewhouse as it's name. Staff friendly and helpful. Revisited and the food is as good as ever, beer great.....the cellarman or lady are doing a great job and the service and front of house staff great too. It's now my favourite place to eat in Chester Back again....I've.got a problem with this place now ......its to far from where I live to be my local. Back again... still great .... Good food. ....Good Beer.....Good Bye

Michael ran our beer and whiskey and he as perfect for the experience. I thoughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to any of my friends. The food was extremely tasty.

Nice food and can’t fault the service the only let down was not having all the food and drinks on the menu especially the food have the menu wasn’t available wouldn’t go back again shame. We went on the Saturday lunch time so if they class that as busy weekend up to there that’s shocking if we went on the Sunday or Monday I’d understand. My son was disappointed as it was his 16th birthday celebration not acceptable.

There are dog friendly pubs and then there is The Brewhouse. Warm welcome when we went upstairs and straight away our spaniel was offered water. He was allowed on the furniture and the Logan our waitress fussed him all the while we were there and bought him biscuits. Food was brilliant the mushroom starter was amazing. Beer first class as well. We will be returning next time we are in Chester. Thank you

We didn't eat food but had a lovely drink. The staff that served us was so helpful, they have a massive range of brewed beers and they let us taste test a couple so we could choose what we wanted. Great place.

Wonderful Saturday afternoon spent eating and drinking with friends. The food was spot on, thanks chef! all four of us agreed our meals were delicious. Session IPA was extremely drinkable, and the manager, Michael, and the front of house team were attentive, very friendly, and welcoming. We will be back soon.

Main courses are great. Service is friendly. Churros were disappointingly small portions for £7.

We went to B&K Chester for a beer tasting masterclass and had an amazing experience. Logan, who took the class, was super knowledgeable and friendly. We were impressed at their level of knowledge of the beers and the history of beers. We enjoyed this so much we are planning on purchasing the experience for a gift for friends.

Brewing experience day, Liam was great, very informative, good food, great beer, wonderful set up, well done to all, will definitely recommend and return.
