We had a fish chowder in the Bath Tap. Lovely, friendly atmosphere with good beer and excellent fish chowder using locally sourced produce. We'll definitely be back to try the salt marsh lamb goulash.
Absolutely brilliant local cafe run by the very talented chef & owner Keith. Not only does he support the local community, he has a heart of gold and gave free lunches for school children during the Covid lockdown nightmares! Dog friendly and highly recommended xx
Our first visit to the Hamers arm and the meal
was excellent.
Starters of chicken tikka skewers, feta cheese, black pudding croquettes & salt & pepper chicken all fantastic.
Main courses cheese & onion pie, fish & chips & peri peri chicken, our plates were empty.
Quality ingredients very well cooked, nicely presented and served by friendly staff, what more could you ask for, oh and good value for money.
We have already booked for Sunday !!
Give this new dining venue a try, you won’t be disappointed, we’ll done to all
Involved.
I can't praise this Cafe highly enough. Right from our first visit, the service has been excellent and the staff very, very friendly. The food is always delicious and excellent value. The Cafe also has such a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that it has now become a regular place for my wife and I to go for a tasty breakfast or an afternoon snack, relax, and also get to meet other locals. But don't think twice if you're not a local but just visiting the area, the staff are such lovely people they will make you feel so welcome. And, very important for us, it's dog friendly.
10 Tib Lane has been on my list for some time, due to the great reviews.
It didn’t disappoint. Food was superb - intriguing, inspired dishes, all a bit different, really flavoursome. It’s a sharing plate concept, mainly small plates, alongside a half handful of larger ones. The menu for both food and drink is concise,
the wine list, not run of the mill. Service was personal and really friendly.
The restaurant is set across 2 floors (plus what looked like a private dining room on the 3rd floor). It's cosy, intimate, lowly lit and retro.
Loved it.
l sampled the dish of the day, a risotto style pilau dish, it was well presented and absolutely delicious. l then shared a dessert which was equally scrumptious. l strongly recommend this place.

I've been so many times! My family and friends love the food and atmosphere so much, we more or less eat here at least once a month if not more often!
I would advise leaving some room for pistachio cheesecake or ice cream
I cant recommend this place enough!
Best spot for sushi take out in the Bolton area.
Ive been going for years now and it's always been fantastic. It is tiny inside to eat in and doesn't look like much from the outside but it's truly amazing . It's well worth the drive from Darwen.
The sushi is freshly made to order and the fish used is very fresh. The prawn katsu is phenomenal and the portions are generous.
Gran lugar impecablemente limpio y el personal muy eficiente Me atendió una señora muy educada y amable llamada Claire recomendaría encarecidamente el Vale Bar
Well what can I say absolutely amazing place. We were celebrating my 60th birthday with my family. The food, service and staff could not have been any better. Would definitely recommend and we will be back again in the future.
We have the privilege of living close to this restaurant so visit regularly.
The food is always delicious, fresh and piping hot.
The garlic bread is AMAZING.
The portion sizes are very generous too.
I just wish I had a bigger stomach to be able to fit more than one course in!!
