Had a lovely Afternoon Tea delivered today, lovely and fresh and lovely selection of savoury items and cakes. Would recommend Cookie Jar for Afternoon Tea delivery.

A group of 13 of us had the luxury afternoon tea here on a Friday afternoon. The owners were so welcoming- they had set up a huge table for us that took up the cafe and decorated it beautifully, including with seat covers, balloons, table runner and confetti and banners. The food was lovely- a lot of variety and freshly prepared. Thank you so much for a fab experience! Picture of afternoon tea for interest- served two.

We have just had a baby shower with afternoon tea. Had the whole of the downstairs. It was excellent. The food was delicious with all sorts of sandwiches and amazing home made cakes. It was presented beautifully and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Thank you all for a lovely afternoon x

Booked in for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and the presentation was superb, we were really pleasantly impressed when the platters were brought out! Everything tasted wonderful all freshly baked and I must say the amount of food was so much more than I expected having had afternoon tea at other places before. Brought some home for later as we just didn’t want to leave it! Pleasant atmosphere and really friendly staff highly recommended especially as it was right on our doorstep, will go again.

Visited the cookie jar which has just reopened under new management for a breakfast buttie Lovely decor and very clean surroundings (hand sanitizer on all tables👍🏻) all the staff are friendly and welcoming . We all had batons, mine was sausage and egg which was perfect accompanied by a very ample mug of coffee. I noticed on the menu that ‘Smimming Chilli’ was on for special of the day which I must say is fantastic that a lower calorific option is available. There was also a fantastic array of home bakes ( the Oreo cake looked amazing 🤩) All in all a lovely place to eat, would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

My wife was given an afternoon tea as a birthday surprise. It was delivered exactly as arranged and was absolutely lovely. The sandwiches, sausage rolls, muffins, millionaire's shortbread and cookies were clearly all freshly made, as were the very generous cream scones, which were particularly delicious. There was more than enough for the two of us - in fact we only finished off the chocolate chip cookies a couple of days later. Highly recommended.

Had a cream tea delivered to surprise my wife for her birthday. Went down a treat.!! Excellent value, great service and would highly recommend.. Thanks again

We had afternoon tea delivered home for wedding anniversary. Just the tonic and food value. Great pick me up sat in back garden lovely light scones.

Sorry to say that the last time we visited here will actually be the last. Don't want to blame the new owners, but think they need to sort something out. Have been several times before and loved it, but last time oh dear! We booked in advance and when we arrived there was only us there (6 of us). We ordered, and another couple came in. They ordered and received their food and ate it and left and we were still waiting. It finally arrived 50 minutes after ordering and it was also disappointing. Soup appeared to be watered down and other peoples food was also disappointing. Really sorry we won't be coming again

I attended a baby shower at the Cookie Jar. The lady was lovely, very attentive. I am a vegan and am used to being disappointed with my food when out however; not here, my food was lovely (despite the lady struggling to describe my humus and falafel wrap, bless her). I was given a wrap, vegan sausage roll, salted caramel and chocolate cake, vegan millionaire biscuit, almond and jam sponge slice and another biscuit. There was so much I had to bring 3 of the sweets home with me. There were seven of us and we split the bill between six of us and it was only £13.00 (ish) each. I would definitely go back

Went here today with a friend for lunch. Nice menu, plenty of choice, reasonably priced. We both decided to have the Ploughman's Lunch. Beautifully presented, nice selection of cooked meats and cheeses, small pie, salad, pickle and coleslaw together with a fresh white barmcake. The plate was emptied but unfortunately we were too full to try a cake as well. Maybe an Afternoon Tea next time?

This is the best most friendliest and best restaurant I've ever been to, the owner is so friendly and the food is up most one some of the best food ever and that's for someone who is well traveled. Would recommend for anyone of all ages!

Visited here for afternoon tea for my mums birthday. An excellent selection of cakes and sandwiches. I would visit here again.

Attended my daughter's baby shower today,what a lovely relaxed atmosphere.Food excellent,could not fault it.Great selection of sandwiches,sausage rolls,crisps ,coleslaw followed by a superb selection of cakes,cookies &scones all washed down with a lovely cup of tea.The staff here are lovely,friendly & attentive,nothing was too much trouble for them.I would certainly recommend this venue.Thankyou.

Lovely little cafe. Menu looked lovely we all had coffee and cakes but would go back and try afternoon tea next time. Excellent prices. Made a change for a Monday afternoon.

I visited The Cookie Jar today with my friend & our two daughters. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea & it was even better with the excellent offer of ‘kids eat free during the half term week’ which was fantastic! Highly recommended even when the offer isn’t on as the drinks & food *especially* was very delicious! :)

Our visit in January was a wonderful experience. I joined a group of friends for my birthday and I have to say that the whole group had a fantastic time. The service was great, and the food was better.

Under new management, you will find Sharon and Kerry very welcoming, with a larger range of sandwiches and cakes, and speciality teatime. A first-rate addition to Leyland eating places.

Had seen this place on Facebook and felt we had to give it a try so visited for lunch as my partner works in Leyland and took our two kids, we had 2 Ploughmans a cheese toastie and soup/chicken sandwich, all were absolutely superb everyone was happy, didn't have room for a cake but they looked so good we took them with us, the four of us including drinks and take out cakes was just over £30 which I think is excellent value for what we got, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly service, you're made to feel welcome. Will deffo be back :-)

A nice place for girls of all ages ,family run by real people who really care ,sandwiches and cakes are deliciously home made and come in generous portions even if you are a male.The service was excellent as well as friendly ,every customer I saw brimmed with happiness as they tucked in especially my wife as she bit in to the fresh strawberry and cream scone ,it kept her happy and smiling for the rest of the day and still does when I mention it. I wished we lived in Leyland then she could be happy every day . I'M definitely going to find an excuse to get back up there and start with breakfast before returning for afternoon tea and cakes . A BIG THANKYOU FOR A MOST ENJOYABLE EXPRIENCE .

Once again lovely afternoon tea at cookie jar. Everything is fresh and very tasty. You also get plenty for the money.

My partner booked me and him a table here for my birthday. He arranged with the owner for me to have a plain scone as part of my afternoon tea and for my cupcake to have a candle in it for me to blow out. The staff were so friendly and kind and had even put a banner up for me. The food was delicious and just as requested. I loved the style of the little tearoom surrounding me in positivity. Thank you for a great birthday treat.

Visited here today with my sister in law and had a wonderful time! We had the afternoon tea delux and for £8.99 the value as amazing - huge slabs of cake and jam packed butties! The staff were really friendly too! We will definitely be returning soon!

We've been to the Cookie Jar twice within two weeks so that should say quite a lot. Both time we both had a club sandwich. We struggled to find somewhere that makes a good club sandwich but not any more. On toasted brown bread it is delicious. Of course, there's a lot more on the menu and on both of our visits, other diners were having the afternoon tea which looked really good and is excellent value for money.

Came for afternoon tea with my mum and nanna. We got the picnic bench tea. There was so much food, it was absolutely delicious and all made fresh to order. The owner Louise was lovely. The cafe is really cute and has a lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Lovely family run tearoom. Need to book as food cooked fresh in time for arrival. Excellent value for money. Nice atmosphere and made to feel welcome and not rushed. Louise the owner explains what is on the quirky picnic bench - nice touch!

Visited The Cookie Jar yesterday for our lunch with 2 friends and my newborn. We ordered the picnic benches that were beautifully set up with a mixture of savory and sweet food. Two drinks were included in the price that definitely made it worth the £12.95 and alot better as other places usually only offer one so I liked this. The lady was lovely and was very busy but still made time to talk to us and check everything was okay as we were leaving. Would recommend for family or friends.

A really good time. We had afternoon tea. It’s was a party of two adults and two children. This is the second time I have visited and will return again.
