To Celebrate our granddaughte starting university we had a loverly night to give her a good send off

Absolutely unbeatable! Our go to spot! Excellent staff, premium drinks and great bar food. We often come for our date night here now we live in Thornton - Cleveleys. My partner and I love the wings and it’s a huge bonus that it’s dog friendly. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

A small group of teaching staff visited for food and drinks. Lovely warm environment with good priced drinks and delicious bar snacks. Family run business that oozed friendliness ..... We will so visit again ... thank you.

I recently visited this lovely little micro pub, Leon and co.‘s customer service was Exceptional. Can’t wait to return and have more drinks in such a warm and welcoming environment.

As always, Gary, Jo and Leo never fail to continue to maintain the highest possible standards in all areas - customer service, quality of food and drink, prices, Covid safety and best of all their genuine friendliness and keenness to to ensure that they look they look after the comfort and well-being of every single customer. We visit The Albatross every Sunday evening but this time we took our little granddaughter last Wednesday afternoon for an after school surprise. We had the simplest of freshly prepared bar snacks, but what a lovely treat! Piping hot sweet potato fries and nachos smothered with delicious cheese, salsa and guacamole. It was delicious. We scoffed the lot!! As ever, the accompanying drinks were delicious. I always enjoy Gary's hand pulled Lancaster Blond bitter - yum, yum! If you haven't yet been to Thornton's best watering hole, give The Albatross a try. I guarantee that that once you've been you'll be back as a regular customer. The Albatross is head and shoulders above any other bar or pub in the Thornton Cleveleys area!, Thanks Gary, Jo and Leon - you're a fantastic team doing a fabulous job!!!

Brilliant bar fantastic ales and service, went with friends yesterday for an hour or so but ended up staying all night because the Lancaster Blonde was exceptional!. Really friendly cosy place, great selection of ale lagers and spirits, also great menu with tasty platters. good outside area as well. Highly recommended.

Visit here quite often with friends and it’s alway so pleasant and welcoming. Gary and Joanne are the best hosts and are always happy and laughing with customers. They have so many drinks to choose from and a cute little bar Menu. The place itself is well presented and has a friendly vibe throughout. Love coming here.

The Albatross is one of those few places where they seem to get everything right. Since lock-down was eased, we have been in several times and each and every time we have had a great evening. Its a 100% clean establishment with hand gel dispensers on the wall and tables positioned + bar visits controlled with self-distancing in mind. The guys running the place are all stars, always pleased to see you, a warm welcome is guaranteed and they are always accommodating. The variety of drinks is excellent for such a small bar and prices are good and quality excellent. This is an independently run bar and they will go out of their way to ensure everything is right for you. The food menu is quite limited, but what there is available is of excellent quality and prices are great. The Cheese & Meat board is excellent, and the chips are superb! Background music plays throughout the evening, it’s usually a mix of 70s to the present day, not intrusive but nice to have some sounds in the background without drowning a conversation. The Albatross is quite small, but is actually bigger than it looks from the outside as there is extra seating at the back. They also have seating outside for the times when the weather is kind. Well done guys, you are without doubt our favourite bar, you have got just the right balance and are a great asset to Thornton. We look forward to many future happy evenings spent with you . My wife and I visited Albatross for the first time last night. I have to say it was wonderful. They're warm, welcoming and friendly. The staff certainly know their stuff!! I think that they have the balance just right and it is just what the area needs. We will certainly be returning and if you have never been, it's well worth a visit.

Been a regular since it opened, usually twice a week at least. Good bunch of chatty locals always in there and excellent hosts, good food and range of drinks.

We have visited this bar many times and always had a warm welcome, they have a wide selection of ciders and lovely nibbles especially the nachos. Would highly recommend for a relaxed drink with friends/partner

Went in here for a few drinks with the girls and was so surprised the staff are lovely, drinks are reasonable and the atmosphere is chilled🙌🏽 Would defo recommend this place. Every credit to the owners.
