Great eaterie friendly warm welcome coupled with top food.

Recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. Lovely fresh food and friendly service. The porridge was perfect and topped with delicious fresh fruit. We will be back.

My friend and I have our breakfast here most Thursdays which is always excellent as noted in previous 5 star reviews During a November visit I remarked on the gorgeous baking smell which was Linda cooking Christmas cakes . I enquired about ordering a Large one as my husband loves his Christmas cake ,me not usually as enthusiastic but wow this is the BEST CHRISTMAS CAKE WE HAVE EVER TASTED !!!! Not good for my diet as I have had a piece every time my husband has as it’s so good. There is no way any visitors will be getting Christmas cake this year if they visit mince pies are well stocked up !!!!! Worth every penny of gorgeousness no more dry Christmas cakes for us Many thanks to a lovely family and continued success in 2024 well deserved

Really lovely local cafe. Small menu of fresh produce. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere and decor. Only word of warning is parking at the front as if you park in front of neighbouring shops without using them, gives you a £100 fine!!!

Love the Linden Tree! I come here most weeks with my Dad, and always receive a really warm welcome. The food and coffee are second to none, and the home made take away pies are amazing too! By far our favourite cafe. I particularly recommend the tarragon mushrooms - delicious! :-)

Quality home made food at reasonable prices. Service is friendly & efficient. It can get noisy at times but there is outside seating. All in all it's well worth a visit

Having read all the really good reviews on line we were really looking forward to trying a lunch out at Linden Tree cafe. Disappointingly the homemade cheese and onion pie was awful, rubbery and the pastry far too thick and dry. We had ordered coffees with our lunch but for some reason they never arrived despite the cafe not being full or the staff run off their feet. I don't think we will be making a return visit - coffee or no coffees!!! My advice is give it a miss and go somewhere else.

My friend and I regularly visit this lovely family run cafe every week if we can for breakfast .The food is of a high quality perfectly cooked and if you like sweet pancakes you’re in the right place as they come drizzled in maple syrup and white chocolate 😋😋😋😋😋 I ordered a box of cupcakes as it was my birthday and was not disappointed they were beautifully decorated and absolutely gorgeous 😋😋😋😋😋😋hence ordering some more this week for my best friend’s birthday this week. Hoping to try an afternoon tea at some point as all the cakes scones etc are homemade on the premises and gorgeous Will be back on Thursday as we love the fact they open at 8am perfect for we early birds

Firstly could I reply to the “Afternoon Tea” Review . Obviously the person Insisting having coffee doesn’t understand the mean of afternoon tea as this always Includes TEA! Anyway enough of that nonsense, we met our friends there for my first time for breakfast, well cooked and presented by very pleasant staff/owners. Should you require coffee this was just lovely fresh and hot. The cafe Itself was tastefully fitted out and decorated with air conditioning making It very comfortable Indeed. On paying the bill I noticed homemade pies to go, so I purchased cottage pie which I !have just had for my dinner. Being a pie foodie I can honestly say It was without doubt the nicest I’ve had. This is one of the best tea rooms around! The bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie is absolutely delish 😋 The coffee perfect 👌especially when I add a ‘lil Baileys to it 😉 My husband and I visit regularly, at the very least once a week and it never ever disappoints. All the staff are lovely, very friendly always ready for a little chat and nothing is too much trouble. It’s beautifully clean inside but the weather is now begging for us to sit outside! I can’t recommend this lovely little place enough and we always do a cake away!!

What a little gem of a place. Great food, lovely owners and value. New to the area I tried it out and was do pleased it may well become my regular meeting place with friends. The omelette was amazing.

A real find. Excellent, authentic home-made dishes and spotlessly clean. We had the lunch specials which were delicious and a couple of takeaway crumbles which were also very tasty. Highly recommended.

We have been meaning to visit the Linden Tree for ages, and finally got round to it today. It was absolutely worth the wait. The tearoom was busy, but a table was found and cleared for us quickly and with a smile. The food was lovely. Presentation was great, and the tarragon mushrooms were delicious, and obviously home made. Everything that was brought out looked lovely. Great coffee too! Can’t wait to visit again. I think it’s going to be a regular spot for lunch :-)

When we arrived the lady just pointed to the table we were allocated she then brought us a pot if tea without asking did we want tea or coffee we then asked for a coffee each to which she replied that will be extra to which I explained to her we don't drink tea she then proceeds to take the pot of tea of the table with a grumpy attitude then brought our coffees over looking miserable a few minutes went by then she brought our afternoon tea selection and just plonked it on the table and walked away we couldn't not finish it all so we asked for a box to take the rest away to which she gave us a filthy look and went away and just got one box when she clearly saw there was two of us on the plus side the food was lovely and the manager was really polite it is a nice little cafe but I would nit come back again because of the waitresses attitude to us both

My friend and I always have breakfast together every Thursday as our usual place is being refurbished we decided to try this local cafe I had been to it many moons ago with another friend We are now on our third week absolutely brilliant my friend is usually an English breakfast girl and I love. Pancakes !!!!! They are so yummy served with fresh berries and drizzled with maple syrup and WHITE CHOCOLATE oh heaven on a plate and my friend is now a convert to pancakes too!!!! I would give more than 5 stars iam very particular and can find absolutely nothing to fault The first week I did have some coffee cake that was delicious and made by a lady on the premises As it opens at 8am it is perfect for us early rises .The staff are lovely the place is spotless even the loo is tip top All the food hot or cold is excellent and served with a smile I nearly didn’t leave a review as I don’t want it too full when we get there !!!! Keep up the good work our previous regular place has been beaten I’m sorry to say

We sneak off to our fave place for breakfast regularly. Today on the specials board was ‘Eggy Crumpets with crispy bacon and syrup’. Was delicious. Thought I was in USA. Defo a triumph! Can’t wait for next time. Staff always friendly and go above and beyond.

Quite small eating area but welcoming, reasonably priced

Our first visit today,but it won't be our last! I notice a previous review complained they weren't told about the parking issue,but it's mentioned on their website,they have a large yellow A board and a sign at their own door,not to mention the not quite as eye catching, but still obviously there signs,put there by whoever owns the parking bays,not sure what else they can do! Anyway,my sister and I had a very early hospital appt today so decided to treat ourselves to breakfast here. The reviews I have read previously did not lie,from the wonderful warm welcome from every staff member we came into contact with,to the excellent,freshly cooked Full English,served on hot plates and very reasonably priced. The place itself has a lovely warm ambience, nicely decorated at the moment for Christmas without being over the top. A thoroughly enjoyable experience,which we look forward to repeating very soon.

Apparently I should of been told I cannot park on the front , nothing was said to me, I had called here with a special needs client and have now been sent a fine!!! Although the milkshakes were amazing and the food was good , my client enjoyed. They were courteous, just very busy I guess

Geheimtip für alle, die einen kleinen, modern gestalteten Tea-Room in einer schönen, ruhigen Wohngegend, abseits des Tourismus-Stroms suchen. Sehr leckere Gerichte, aufmerksamer Service. Nur 4 Sterne, da auf der sehr sauberen Toilette (unisex) nur ein einziges Handtuch für alle zur Nutzung vorhanden war, das ist nicht hygienisch. Außerdem muss ein 'full Afternoon tea' 24 Stunden vorher vorbestellt werden, was aber außer auf der Homepage nirgends veröffentlicht wird. So gab es nur einen Scone mit Clotted Creme. Aber ansonsten: Sehr schöner Platz zum Verweilen.

Visited here and had a full breakfast and a toastie. All the food was fresh and delicious. The bacon was thick and the sausages looked high quality compared to the usual cheap catering sausages and the egg was cooked perfectly. The place was really clean, staff were attentive and there was a good amount of items on the menu. Prices were very reasonable and I got a brownie to take home as all the cakes looked amazing. Would definitely return here again

Today was my first visit to Linden Tea Room but it definitely won’t be the last. Delicious food served by professional friendly staff. Value for money and a fabulous menu to choose from. The small breakfast was perfectly cooked to my request. I bought a mince pie to take away which was exceptional. I’m already looking forward to my return visit. Well done to all and thank you 🤩

I can describe my experiences in just one word: DELICIOUS. They do 3 types of quiche including sweet potato. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The pastry on the pie's the best I've ever tasted. The coffee is great, and a good selection of coffee's, from this beautiful Italian roast, smooth and tasty.

Ordered 2 afternoon teas to be delivered just to cheer us up in this covid gloom. Was not disappointed. Really nice sandwiches on nice fresh bread, big tub of salad and coleslaw. Fabulous scones with butter, jam and fresh clotted cream and a selection of other freshly made cakes and biscuits. And free local delivery as well. We'll definitely be doing that again.

Needed somewhere for a quiet get together for my daughter's Birthday with some school friends and we really wanted afternoon tea. As there were so many of us they offered to stay open a bit later just to accommodate us, the offer was without hesitation and really took me aback and touched me as it was so considerate and unexpected. This evening was lovely, socially distanced for the adults and just so nice. They couldn't do enough for us, lots of sandwiches, cakes and scones with lashings of clotted cream plus plenty of tea to wash it all down with. Excellent, first time visited on a recommendation. Warm welcome with a lovely smell of home baking when we went in. Spotlessly clean, light airey & very comfortable surroundings. Breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked. The couple who have taken a chance on opening there have got it absolutely right. Parking is handy & they deserve to do well. A fantastic local business, hopefully they will be supported by the local community.

Lovely little place in a quiet nook. Lovely homemade delights and pleasant service. Always has a buzz and you can order bigger things for occassions like birthdays, anniversaries or just a good time with friends and family. I have been there a few times and would definitely go again.

A wonderful asset to our area. Owners are very friendly and helpful to every visitor and the food is all homemade and the quality of ingredients is excellent. Steak pies and hot pots full of really good meat and can also be purchased to take home ....ready to heat or frozen for later. We have visited many times since they opened and have always been happy with our choices. Open early for those who like an early breakfast...porridge with fruit is lovely! On our first visit this tea room was really good , my wife and I returned two weeks later and where both disappointed , on our first visit we ordered soup and a sandwich which was really well presented , however on our second visit the sandwiches where just slapped on top of one another with no garnish , the soup was lookwarm , we also purchased two scones to take out and was charged £4.00 which we thought was really expensive . Won't be going again .

Went to Linden Tea room yesterday where they serve the best cuppa I have had I a very long time. Also had the hot baguette with roasted chicken and stuffing mmm so yummy. Last week I opted for a bacon barm with a barista coffee, Its only a stone's throw away from me but it's so nice to be able to nip in and have lovely freshly made food. I am going again this afternoon with another of my friends to have a cuppa n cake mmmm now which one will i have, there's quite a few to pick from. You never know I may see you there sometime eh. Why not pop in and see for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.
