The best restaurants in North East

Lo pasamos muy bien las bebidas y la comida encantador pero pegajoso pudín de café era un poco frío, pero todo lo demás era genial. Podría hacer con más niños cosas como parque pequeño

¿Qué diablos ha pasado en las carnicerías de Penshaw? Como un cliente muy leal y de larga data, estamos muy decepcionados de ver que la anterior exhibición de carne de buena calidad, no es ni mucho menos tan buena como lo era. ¿Dónde han ido Lisa y su marido, alguien lo sabe? ¿Los lechones de hoy por primera vez en semanas, eran definitivamente deficientes? Oh Dios, muy infeliz por el cambio.

A really good take away, we couldn't fault it, food so tasty, onion bhaji best we have had, served with salad and yogurt dressing. Curries large portions, with lots of meat. Ordered an hour before we wanted to collect and it was ready when we called at the restaurant. Staff very friendly. Cash only, no cards taken. Highly recommend

We were shown a table that was in a cellar that could not sit 6 people comfortably. The smell was overwhelming but the man in charge said that there were no other tables despite only four people in the restaurant, we were told that there was no way they could put a table together. We asked to speak to the manager we had booked a table for 8 and they couldn’t accommodate us! The manager was at their other restaurant and she was not available to speak to us she was in the toilet!! After ten minutes of waiting she said that there was nothing she could do! So no table available the young man in charge was extremely rude and said that we could have a table for 20 minutes. Then he would need it for other people but again I would point out that there was only two tables occupied by 4 customers. He was not helpful and said that he could not give us a table. So despite booking a table for 8 no one was going to accommodate us in any shape or form. So Saturday at 5:30 pm and no where available thank you to the Mantra for stepping in and helping us and we had a great meal.Don’t go to the Kaltur and expect to be treated with respect because there was no help from anyone in this restaurant.

We were welcomed and served straight away, staff were knowledgeable of all the wines, so friendly and professional! Food came quickly and was delicious, great lunch time special offers.

We were regular visitors until recently. Our last visit was terrible. We called for Saturday breakfast. Our breakfasts were thrown on the plates. Didn’t look appetising at all and didn’t taste much better. I was given a chipped cup with my pot of tea.When I complained I was told they were all chipped. We won’t be calling at The Conservatory again.

Came for breakfast not realising they were only done on weekends. Dawn our server accommodated us and we had a lovely meal :)

Delicious Sunday Lunch. Stopped off for lunch after a family walk. The Sunday lunch was worth the wait . Freshly cooked, meat plentiful and beautifully cooked. Well presented. Staff pleasant and polite. Dog friendly and good seating areas. Thoroughly recommend. Thanks to all.

Me and my partner stayed in one of the lodges last night and had the best time. We were greeted by the owner who was so polite and friendly & he showed us around the site and how to use the hot tub. The views from the lodge were gorgeous & the lodge was so cosy and clean. We ordered the 3 courses for £20 which was soooo worth the money, we had the garlic bread & wedges (the best wedges we’ve ever had - they were SO crispy!!!) 2 parmos (best parmo we’ve ever had as well) and then a chocolate cake/red velvet cake. The cocktails were beautiful and tasted just like a refresher! The bar staff/waitresses were so polite. The next morning we went for breakfast which was yummy and served really quick. One of the bonuses for me was the cat that was mooching on the site, he kept coming to the seating area of our lodge and sitting on my knee for cuddles. Will definitely be back here soon & recommending to family and friends. Thanks for a lovely stay xx

Excelente almuerzo en la semana del restaurante. Amelia la camarera era fantástica. nada era demasiado problema para ella con estar en tu cara. Comida y servicio de primera clase

Great relaxed atmosphere, clean lovely setting and staff friendly and the food was absolutely gorgeous at a great price. Feels like we’ve found a hidden gem.

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful valentines day experience. We're regulars at the restaurant but The Surf and Turf platter was outstanding and offered great value - such a rare thing to see nowadays with every holiday/event being exploited with meagre portions and high prices! Well done Al Forno. Look forward to returning! (PS - even as a pre order or occasiinal special, it would be amazing to keep those platters all year round!)

Amazing service, the guy was very wholesome and clearly wanted everyone to enjoy their meal
