Cannot speak more highly of this restaurant. The staff were absolutely delightful and made our wedding anniversary even more special. They were attentitive without hovering and just excellent all round. The food was DEVINE!! There are not enough words to describe how delicous the steaks were. From cocktails, through to wine, through to starter and dessert, we cannot fault our lunch. Thank you.
I recently visited Stanhope arms and was thoroughly impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The pub itself has a charming, rustic vibe, with a mix of cozy seating and a lively bar area that’s perfect for both relaxing or socializing with friends.
The beer selection is top-notch, with plenty of local brews and classic favorites to choose from. I tried a pale ale that was crisp and refreshing – just what I needed to unwind after a busy day. If you’re more of a cocktail person, they’ve got a creative list of drinks, too!
The food is absolutely delicious! I had the fish and chips, and it was crispy, golden perfection. There are also some great vegetarian options that I’m excited to try next time. Whether you’re in the mood for a light snack or a full meal, there’s something for everyone.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere. The pub has a great mix of locals and visitors, so it’s lively without being too loud. It’s the perfect place to enjoy good food and drinks.
I’ll definitely be back soon! If you’re looking for a pub with great food, friendly service, and an all-around chill Stanhope Arms is the spot.
With so many dining options in the area, we were disappointed that this was where we ended up. The menu looked promising, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations. We visited on Marathon Sunday, so it’s possible the restaurant was busier than usual, which may have impacted quality. Still, the dishes we ordered felt rushed and lacked the attention to detail you'd expect—even at the lower price point compared to other French restaurants nearby. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, and I’d be open to giving it another shot on a quieter day, but this visit was underwhelming.
Came here for our yearly team lunch for the second year in a row and we had a fantastic time. Our server Tania was incredible. She went above and beyond for us and knew how to deal with a rowdy group of 19! The food was delicious, which is why we came back
The worst Nando’s I’ve been to by far. Nando’s is my go to food place but it was the first time I didn’t like it from my years of always eating there. The place wasn’t clean like all the other Nando’s and the service was horrendous they gave me the wrong order multiple times and even when they finally got it correct they forgot to give certain things like the butter with my corn on cob. I’ve been to busier Nando’s with better service. I just didn’t feel great with the cutlery and the tables and glasses just wasn’t a 100%. I wouldn’t come back here ever again.

We arrived at lunch time and found a table. Later we had to go to the entrance and wait. We were with 5years old granddoughter. After another 5 minutes they told us that no table available. Sorry but I recommend you not to visit this restaurant.
Beautiful and eclectic high end restaurant in Chelsea. We found this place by chance on Good Friday for breakfast because everywhere was closed. What an amazing place! Great full breakfast and beautiful dining area with lots of antiques. They have a pizza oven, so stopped by for pizza that night. 10/10 recommend stopping by for a bite!
