Le Pain Quotidien in Kensington and Chelsea

Friendly place to eat. I am disabled and in a wheelchair, the staff was very welcoming to me and my husband, accommodated me to the right table. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Thinking about going back again.

A nice bit of food and drink on way to Tube station after visiting the museums.

Excellent take in a salad nicoise with salmon as opposed to tuna. Very good flavours and fresh produce. Service a little wanting but overall a good place for lunch.

Unfortunately visited at what must have been a bad time. Too many menu items were unavailable and "abrupt" counter staff did not make the atmosphere welcoming - thankfully the Waiting staff made up for it (as fewer Stars would have been awarded).

Lovely place to unwind and had a good time with my niece Brooke-Rose and her father my friend Russell.

Good quality, good service. Staff were very nice.

Apart from giving gulten free breads, there are not many gluten free choices. The indoor space with air conditioning has the mix of kitchen air extractor smell. It is also weird to air conditioning with all doors is open. The service was a bit random and slow.

I had a lemon tart and tea. The lemon tart was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly too.

Told us that they did not have staff to sit us and serv us, 1 minute after we passed by again to see people in the table where we wanted to sit. We talked to the person and she did not offer explanação or said sorry. Ridiculous

After being told we couldn't sit in multiple areas because they were "closing the area" even though it was 2 hours before closing time, we were eventually seated. After that it was quick service. Though the toilets leave alot to be desired.

Our last day in London and we came across this gem. We stopped in for desserts and were not disappointed. A nice variety of desserts and great prices. So delicious. The wait service was so wonderful. Attentive and helpful. This is a must stop

8 minutes of waiting for two single shot espresso. The coffee was unfortunately diluted, lacking in flavor and depth. Terrible. It left a distinctly burnt aftertaste that lingered unpleasantly. Overall, it failed to meet expectations for a 3 pound coffee, served in two flat white cups definitely oversized to contain this amount of liquid. The sensation of enduring an objectively excessive wait time leaved a lingering sense of frustration, since the place did not seem to be particularly busy to justify all this. Definitely not recommended.

Le Pain Quotidien is a popular bakery and cafe chain with locations all over the world. The South Kensington branch is very conveniently located close to the museums and also a welcoming space, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food is good. I recently visited Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast and ordered the scrambled eggs with bread. The eggs were nocely cooked, fluffy and creamy. The bread was fresh and crusty, and the whole dish was delicious. Overall, I had a nice experience at Le Pain Quotidien. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch in South Kensington.

Really good place to chill and slow down in busy London, especially if the weather is nice. Great coffee and pastry/cakes.

We had a late breakfast/ brunch today. The food was really tasty and the service excellent. We'll be back!

Very unhelpful staff, was ignored by 4 before I could get seated however it did give me time to decide what I wanted. Once seated I was told they didn't have it although I could see it from me seat. I decided to get the sandwich to take away as having it in seemed too difficult only to find it had been not fully labelled so had to throw it away.

5* to here..coffee and carrot cake to die for..staff brilliant..great feel to the place. comfy ..love it

bad experience today i will not forget a male staff with a mustache served me and my friend, i ordered a salad and he said they don't have all the salads, he won't let us order! but when we asked other staff even the manager they said yes they have salads! I don't know what's his problem but people like that can't get a job anywhere I hope he gets kicked out! first time here and will never come back as long as racist staff like that are still there!!!

Service is not good and staff are not polite

Food was decent, we had a bakers basket, goats cheese and baked beetroot open sandwich and a ham and cheese croissant - the bread is obviously freshly baked which was yummy. Service was good until we got what we ordered, and then moved down a few gears. Nice French bakery in a nice location, a bit on the pricy side for what you get though

Un panneau à l’entrée indique qu’il faut patienter pour qu’on vienne nous accueillir et nous installer en salle. Ce que nous avons fait. Un homme derrière le comptoir nous a demandé ce que nous souhaitions et nous avons donc passé commande. Nous nous sommes avancés en salle pour nous installer et une dame m’a répondu d’un ton très sec que nous n’avions pas le droit de nous asseoir parce que nous avions une commande à apporter. Je n’ai pas compris puisque le serveur n’avait pas posé la question et que nous étions clairement dans la file pour prendre notre collation sur place. Nous nous sommes retrouvés à la rue avec mon fils de 8 ans à goûter dans le vent et le froid. Pas cool après plusieurs heures de marches. J’étais prête à régler le supplément pour être à l’intérieur, il aurait juste fallu que l’accueil soit plus sympa et mieux organisé pour mieux nous orienter. Mauvaise expérience pour nous mais sinon les produits étaient bons.

Very bad value. Scones were dry, thick and tasteless. My wife had a brunch with very bad salmon out of date. She had a poched egg instead of the scramble egg that she orded. Go for another place.

This particular "Le Pain Quotidien" outlet is well-located, just around the corner from the extremely busy South Kensington Tube Station, and attracts large numbers of Customers, especially at weekends. We were staying nearby, and conscious of the (Thursday) 8 p.m. closing-time, we came here for a light Dinner around 6 p.m. Our reception was pleasant, and with a bit of effort, we negotiated a Table with a view onto the street. "Le Pain's" offering is not particularly elaborate, but provides an adequate range of choices from Breakfast, through Lunch, to Dinner, as well as facilitating those who simply want a Coffee, and/or a Snack. I opted for the Quiche Lorraine Dish, while M (my "Better Half") selected a Chicken Cobb Salad from the "Specials" listing - both were reasonably good, with hers probably the more tasty choice. To accompany these Dishes, we added a small "Baker's Bread Basket" + a Glass of Sauvignon Blanc for me, & a Glass of Tempranillo for M. We finished with a Coffee each, and shared a Chocolate Brownie. Service throughout was pleasant and effective : our Bill (including a 12.5% Service Charge) totalled £72-33, for what was, overall, a reasonably good experience.

I would say it was okay but definitely expensive for what it was. The place looks really nice, but i was disappointed with the french toasts I had and the Iced Peach tea had a bitter taste. The place was pretty quiet around 9 and overall it was nice to chill there before going to the museum. I just wish that for the price the quality of the food was better.

Delish food - I ordered a oat milk flat white, scrambled eggs and bacon. It was really delish and the portion was huge … I wouldn’t get the side of bacon next time as I had to leave a lot behind. The staff were really welcoming and service was great

Lovely as always. The brunch options they do are fantastic with a little bit of everything French in one offering… cheese, ham, croissant, espresso, etc. Fantastic.

Lindo local, amplio, bien ubicado. La cocina estaba cerrada cuando llegamos, nos enteremos al pedir, no al momento de entregarnos las cartas. Atención lenta y con algunos olvidos. Los cheesecake muy buenos, los café normales, mucha espuma y poca temperatura.

Pretty bad experience here today. Went in for coffee and cakes. The waitress brushed her fleece sleeve against my strawberry tart twice leaning over the table to put cutlery on the table, then worse still found a blonde/fair hair in my strawberry tart after one bite. They offered to replace it when I showed them but was still charged full price including 10% service. Toilet was a state too with water all over the floor. Will choose another many other cafes in the area in future.

We were looking for a place to get a quick bite/breakfast and came across this place. We were welcomed by a friendly young man and were seated instantly. The cappuccino I ordered was very nice and in a quite big cup. The size of the cup was not something we were used to in our country, so that was very nice. The food we ordered was nice and hot, nothing special about it, didn’t have to wait too long and our tummies were filled.

Awful service waited for ages to be served. Then when we finally did order waited 20minutes for a waiter to say they didn't have our order on the system and one of the items wasn't even available. Shocking service. Dont recommend at all

Warm coffee and worse of all eggs and toast.. looked like prison egg and toast. If you want French… don’t go here..

The croissant is not as fluffy as at Paul. And the service was not the fastest for the price.

A place very easy to find, it's been an amazing experience for me and my family. We had the pleasure to meet one of the members of the staff, her name is Anyi Amador (as I remember) who was very helpful for us suggesting and explaining everything kindly and patiently :) It's a pretty good place for us!!

It's been 35 minutes since I ordered a cup of wine and it hasn't arrived yet. I asked for it 3 times. Awful experience. The stew came cold.

If you’re planning to order a coffee to takeaway go somewhere else. Took over 15 mins for me to get 1 coffee to go. When I asked twice about my order, I was just fobbed off by the woman in the front who said she’ll check and then confirmed it’s coming, but then saw others who had put in their orders after me get served before me… only when I asked the individual making the coffee directly about it, did she confirm there wasn’t an order she could see for my coffee, then made it straight away.

Slow service Inattentive waiters (Always chatting amongst themselves, inexperienced and quite disoriented) Hot food served cold Ordered lentil, potato leak stew and arrived completely cold. In addition. Our drinks did not arrived with the meal and were completely forgotten. Very disappointed.

It’s a cosy place, but the food is nothing special

I am very disappointed that you triple charged a coffee on 27th of February. . At about 3:00pm on 27th of February, a friend and I ordered one latte and one cappuccino with decaf and soy milk, I paid £7.30 by a Tesco credit card. About 10 minutes later, I was told that your machine was broken , therefore you could not make decaf , you asked me to tap my card to refund £7.30 to me . and you then asked me to tap the card again to pay £3.65 for the latte, which I did. You just binned all receipts without asking If I want to have them. Today I checked my bank statement, which shows that you charged £7.30 and £3.65! I googled your contact number and tried to call you but without any luck. I hope you agree that honesty is the best policy, you should not charge £7.30+£3.65 for a cup of coffee. I would also suggest that you should improve your service by asking your customers if they want a receipt, instead of just bin all receipts by yourself.

The service was really good, we didn’t have to wait long at all before we were seated. I had the smoked chicken and mozzarella toasted tartine, which was delicious!

Decent food, disappointed that the smoothie comes in a kid sized glass... That's what made this a 4 star review. Other than that, good service and atmosphere. Had to ask for the bill twice as the server had forgotten which made us wait quite a long time, but they seemed to be super busy.

Horrible service. Horrible over priced food. Acidic coffee. Never again. We walked in waiting to be seated, waitress was already being rude and rushing us. After 15 minutes we were still waiting for our food which was visibly sitting on the counter for someone to take over. In the meantime the waitress was even cleaning the floor, but no signs of our food. We finally walked over and grabbed the food ourselves, the ham cheese toastie was now cold, so I sent it back to be warmed up. It was now way too crunchy as it disappeared again for another 10 minutes… Vegan croissant was the hardest rubbery croissant we’ve ever had, didn’t even come with jam. Service + food = 1 star. First and last time.

nice selection, firm wooden furniture. however, it’s very loud here and you can hardly relax here. No waiting time on Sunday at about 12. I got my tart in seconds and then waiting for my coffee took lots of time

Had a good time having tea and cake there. Good layout and seating area and feel quite warm and cosy. Desserts were great and tasty. Think it was too busy, so service was lacking a bit.

Odd entrances, we made a mistake as it’s not clear there is a door on the opposite side of the building, and was told we needed to move as we paid for take away, nice lady told the others to forget it, and we where able to eat and feed the infant. Make it clearer please HO

We went for breakfast, and the experience was pretty good. They had a 15-minute wait time for us to be seated. Once seated, we enjoyed our meal. We did have to flag down other servers for assistance, but they were helpful.

Healthy organic food, great experience

Koffie gedaan heel gehaast en asociaal personeel sfeer was bizar slecht.

We went in because it reminded us of the one they had in Dubai. Now I honestly never ever thought another existed who could make a scramble egg like I did and I was so wrong. The Baguettes and the Butter complemented every bite I took and I made sure our waitress mentioned this to the Chef. I have to say, shame about the coffee for the Chef was so dedicated in preparing my scrambled eggs YET the Coffee Barista wasn't as dedicated and in all honesty that's a real shame for it would have been really nice to enjoy it too.

Very poor service at this branch of LPQ. 3 supervisors/managers standing at the entrance not taking an order or seating diners. Order-taker very impersonal and more concerned with chatting to colleagues than taking orders. Person taking payment for the bill does not make eye-contact (acts like a robot). No 'goodbye' or 'thank you' upon leaving. Tea and scone ordered very perfectly acceptable.

Enjoyed breakfast at this very nice place. Its busy but cozy. Wished the staff would be smiling a bit more, but overall it was a great visit.

Pretty good. I have scrambled eggs and salmon. The portion is just about right, but cannot be described as generous. Delicious though. Coffee is good, but not the best in the area. Can be considered expensive, as the scrambled eggs and salmon cost £13.

Food was pretty bad - solid, pre-packaged waffle, the dragon chia pudding was totally flavourless other than the mint which they seem to put in everything, presumably to give it flavour. I ordered a mocha which was so lacking in chocolate it may actually have been a latte - I couldn’t quite tell. Staff were nice, but service a little slow. Chocolate and orange ganache tart was excellent, however.

Een heerlijke plek om te lunchen, verse broodjes met salades en goede koffie en thee. Keerzijde is dat de voorraad gauw op was en we een paar minuutjes moesten wachten op de extra broodjes in onze grote bestelling.

I ordered the Pain Perdu (French toast). It was average at best. I wouldn’t recommend it. I also ordered the mocha which was had a large serving but it didn’t taste nice either.

A selection of sad, stale bread topped with mediocrity. Three sandwiches and a side set us back £40. Reminded me of everything bad about London.
