We had a lovely time at the Goat! We just got beers but the food looked incredible.

The goat tavern is the GOAT of all taverns. Great food, excellent service and friendly staff. A piece of advice, ORDER THE GRAVY!

Our experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in! We were helped by Peter, who was great and made us feel special. Helped us with a photo, and made us laugh. We had the Sunday roast, both chicken and sirloin, and the chocolate torte with clotted ice cream, soo good! Would recommend to anyone who finds themselves hungry on Kensington High Street near Kensington Palace.

A lovely lady served us and fun story about tunnels to nearby kensington palace and it being the oldest pub in Kensington....great food and drinks menu also, fizzy beer and classy choices!

Not my first time in London, but my first time having fish and chips. It was wonderful. Everything was hot and fresh. The host was excellent. I will return to Goat Tavern when I come back. It was a comfortable and casual environment too.

Fish and chips were perfect the tartar sauce was so delicious. We also got steak pie and the British toastie and loved them. The service was great it was the perfect end to our day! Best food we had our entire trip! Thank you!

We went in with our 4 year old son. The bartenders were great with him. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. That mac and cheese was so good, with that aged sharp cheddar cheese. Absolutely would recommend.

The staff are extremely rude. Not one waiter was kind. For the prices one expects a good service but not tbe case here. Honestly one of the worst services I have experienced in London. We were planning to eat there and stay for a little bit, but we rather left somewhere else where we were treated with respect and kindness.

We had been eyeing this pub for a long time because it's in a great location, right across from the park. However, we ended up with a not-so-friendly bartender. He seemed very tired, as he didn't offer any samples and was impatient. The lady, on the other hand, was friendly

Great Tavern with traditional English food( fish & chips)the vintage cheddar used in other dishes available is one of the best we’ve ever tasted, you should have the Mac n cheese. Service was excellent as well

Extremely rude. Was trying to rush us to get a drink while we were looking at the menu and we were the only ones at the bar, he basically shouted at us to order. Made me super anxious and uncomfortable. There was no music playing. Felt like my soul was being sucked out. Absolutely no vibe and the guy behind the bar treated us like we should be doing him a favor! Don't go here if you're looking for a great atmosphere because there is none here.

This is a real Brittish tavern, greetings when you come in, nice place to drink and enjoy food. I had an amazing burger, was really good. Next to Kensington palace a great place to charge up.

Very well located in Kensington in front of the gardens, close to the palace and the Royal Albert Hall. It has some very nice barrels at the door in summer. They have Estrella Galicia; pints are not cheap.

I've never had such a bad experience with a staff anywhere ever. The first time we went it wasn't bad but the second time was just terrible. I got a coupon in an email from them for a free beer. When we tried to use it they didn't believe they sent the email. When I showed them the email they tried to say it was only for a beer they don't have. When I showed them it was for a beer we had already ordered and had in hand they gave me a huff and said fine. Our food was fine but my sister ordered a bacon cheeseburger and got an impossible burger. When she pointed out the mistake they argued with her that that was what she ordered. She isn't a vegetarian and has never ordered an impossible burger. They were adamant that they were right, they weren't. I have never seen anything like this. We had eight people and one wanted a to go container for food that wasn't finished. They said they don't have containers for that. Amazingly bad service. Maybe they just don't like Americans. Be warned.

Lovely pub on High Street Kensington. We just stopped for a quick drink but all the tables were reserved. Bar staff quickly allowed us to use a table in the meantime.

What a lovely pub, old and atmospheric and so handy to go in before a visit to Kensington Palace, which is just over the road. Me and my friend liked the Goat so much, we returned after our visit. The staff are so friendly and the food was really good - my friend tucked into chicken Kiev and I had one of the vegan options - delicious home made pea and mint soup with bread, a really nice and thoughtful touch.

I agree with Theo about the steak pie. You need to do a quality check with your supplier. I didn’t understand why there was a separate big gravy pot when the pie was full of gravy! The pastry crust was dry and rock hard. The cabbage was a whole wedge, not even shredded.. I actually commented to staff about this. We were given no cutlery until 5 mins after the food, and we got some from the bar ourselves. Plus side it was nice to find a pub that was quiet enough to accommodate our Big group on a Saturday afternoon. And no loud music.

I've had some bad Steak and Ale pies in the past. But never had a Steak and Ale pie completely devoid of steak in the pie. The Goat Tavern needs to rename their Steak and Ale Pie to just Gravy Pie. Very nice atmosphere in the pub though so I'll give one extra star for that.

We had an amazing evening here! The staff member who served us went above and beyond, making it truly memorable. The food is top-notch, and the drinks are fantastic. We followed their recommendations and were not disappointed. Learned some interesting history too. Best dining experience in London so far! Highly recommend for both drinks and food. Cheers!

Historic pub in the middle of high street! Great food. Just a short walk from Kensington garden!! Recommend!!

I visited as part of a group. A few of us wanted tap water and the manager shouted at us for our request. During our meal he also had a stand up arguments with a number of other guests. Finally when we tried to pay and use our blue light discount as we are all paramedics we were again yelled at as we apparently need to go online to get the discount. This was not explained to us by mr shouts a lot but another guest. Manner cost nothing. Not so long back the good folks of Great Britain were clapping us now we can’t get a meal in a pub. How times have changed

Aperol Spritz should contain spritz and Aperol … it was 95% ice, 4% soda and maybe 1% Aperol for the color … worst drink ever … only the old style venue was making it two stars as the service and also the very dirty table were worth less

Other reviewers mentioned the banana old fashioned, so I tried it and found it to be excellent. I could see no way to improve on the food, drinks, service or atmosphere. Happy we stopped here.
