Hey there ! So I went here with my friend in order to eat :) I ordered a Tavern Burger which was very very good and filled me up quite easily ! The servers were very friendly available for us ! The pub was very beautiful and comfy, with an ambient music that was nice to hear :) Thank you for all !

We ate well in this restaurant, the dishes were tasty. The general atmosphere is nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable, making it good value for money. A great address to remember!

We were visiting London and stumbled upon this charming pub close to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. We were so pleased with the service and the food was extremely fresh and delicious - best onion rings I’ve had in my life! Would highly recommend for anyone in the area to try out The Goat Tavern.

Great prices for this area of town and very attractive interior, lots of seating, very Dickensian. However, cheese & bacon burger was underwhelming- burger very well cooked but contained bits of bone, cheese only half melted so unappetising, small piece of bacon, good chips but BBQ sauce tasted watered down. Someone else had fish & chips and that looked really good, good size & colour.

Friendly staff and helpful. Atmosphere is nice and quiet after a hectic day. Had a Sunday roast and tasted wonderful.

Came to the goat tavern for a drink and we ended up ordering food, both had steak medium rare and medium both steaks came out well done, we had starters they was perfect but the steak just wasn't edible unfortunately wouldn't return, staff friendly though

Lovely old pub in a excellent position. Very friendly staff. We had calamari for starters which was excellent. Main course we had the roast beef which left a lot to be desired meat was tough and chewy as were the Yorkshire's and the carrots also they didn't have horseradish. Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was on the house and was quite nice. Would go back if in the area but would definitely not have the roast.

Gabi and Nicu were amazing servers during a busy day. Very attentive and friendly and so easy to talk to. A credit to the company. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The Goat at Kensington is a tremendous experience! It was my first day in London when I came here and the staff was inviting, friendly, and taught me some of the local etiquette I was not aware of. The food and drinks were delicious, and I will be coming back when I come back to London.

Great good at the end of our first day in London. The fish and chips did not disappoint, they were delicious. The breading was crispy and light and perfectly flavored.

Al menos otros dos alimentos básicos en el menú principal no estaban disponibles 1 era filete de solomillo y lo mismo en un sándwich. El personal fue grosero y anunció que los especiales estaban de vuelta en 10 minutos. ¿Cómo funciona esto? Me preguntaron si alguna vez había trabajado en hospitalidad y cuando respondí afirmativamente me preguntó cuánto tiempo hacía y me dio una historia de corazones sangrantes sobre lo difícil que es. Mi marido fue entonces a buscar más cerveza y estaban fuera de los dos principales OPI de Greene Rey. Única cabeza de nivel disponible y este es un pub rey verde. Terminé con un sándwich de pollo y tocino que era prácticamente adecuado para los vegetarianos. Fue muy inhóspito y le sugeriría que se mantenga alejado si tiene hambre. Los brazos de Queens es un corto paseo y era mejor por una milla de campo. Sin personal llorón. Se quitaban los calcetines y eran educados y eficientes y el epítome de la hospitalidad en oposición a la taberna de cabras que era más como la hostilidad. ¡Evita este pub si puedes!

As a German I was staying a couple of days in a well known hotel around the corner. Checking pubs in the area online, I found the Goat Tavern with good reviews. Together with my wife we had a wonderful stay with good tasting beer and food....actually I am missing such locations in Germany...special thanks to the team...keep on going! Meet you for good bye dinner on Wednesday!!!

the atmosphere was good, the service was slow at first as no one explained what we needed to do... then it was a breeze... the staff became friendly, the food was good however a bit under seasoned

Friendly, helpful and great food. Maje a reservation and the table is your for 2 hours. Just show up on time. Steaks and Ale pie was a bit light on the steak, but delish! And fish and chips were crazy good. Really cute bar, and cozy seating. Wish we were there on a Sunday to try the roast. Next time!!

Starters were amazing - had the pea and mint soup and it’s was so good! Husband loved the salt and pepper squid! For main course, had fish and chips- traditionally excellent, and the sirloin steak with the Merlot Beef Dripping Gray - gravy was amazing. Atmosphere was great, staff very friendly, had great drinks- loved the Camden Hells beer and Banana Old Fashion!

Nous avons poussé la porte de cet établissement juste avant notre visite au Palais de Kensington et n'avons pas été déçu. Tout d'abord, l'accueil fût des plus agréables malgré la barrière de la langue que ce soit avec la serveuse ou le barman. Nous avons opté pour le "steak and ale pie" et une bonne bière. Le repas fut succulent et nous étions rassasiées. Belle découverte.

I intentionally got lost on a walk in London and I came upon the Royal Albert Hall. I wanted to get a pint in this busy part of London and I found the Goat Tavern. I thought with a name like that in London, I must visit. The place seemed kinda upscale though the prices did not reflect that. The quality of the establishment is high as well as the clientele. I had a good time and look forward to returning on. my next visit to London.

Great afternoon of eating, drinking and chatting after a walk round Kensington Gardens. Lovely service, delicious mushroom chilli and plenty of space and not too loud to natter. Decent prices in a genuine and characterful ‘proper’ pub, in a tourist hot spot. Chain but doesn’t feel like it. Recommended!

Boss burgers!!! I was so impressed. The brisket on top of my burger tastes moist and juicy. Next time I will try their smoked meat (sorry still struggle calling anything bar-b-que outside of the states. Great company from some local young men. Really nice & calm atmosphere, so don't be put off with the video. Highly recommend this place

Fabulous meal! We had the fish and chips, salt pepper squid, pea and mint soup and wine. The soup was my favorite - just delicious. I really want the recipe for my deli in the states it was that good. Fish was cooked perfectly either way a nice side of starter sauce. The charred lemon is a nice touch. Service was friendly and food can’t out quickly. Wish we were here longer to go back and have the muscles on special.

A great pub with a lot to offer. The owners are not helping things by not having football on so it's empty game nights. The bar staff are great and are polite and welcoming. Would come back for sure

Lovely old boozer with a fascinating history, cheeky staff and my kiev was lurvley!!! Highly recommended if you have to go to Kensington for some reason.

Travelling through the UK. Been to a few overpriced establishments. Not with the Greene King chain though. Be it the tucked away Old Starre Inn in York or the Goat Tavern in London overlooking Hyde Park, a warm, welcoming and budget friendly experience awaits you. We'll be back for more!!

It is in my favourite corner of London. Very welcoming nice pub. Food portions are big and dishes are delicious. Personel is very friendly. My choice was steak and ale pie. Between 5 of us we tried most of the mains and everyone was very happy with their choices.

I want to apologize for my initial review, as it left room for the owner to make fun of us. Here’s a clearer account of what happened: On New Year’s Eve at 20:55, we called and booked a table for two at this place. Despite it being a busy night, they accepted our booking. We arrived 10 minutes later and were seated at a high table next to the bar. A lady handed us the menus and told us, “Please order at the bar.” At first, I misunderstood—it’s not a self-service restaurant, as they do bring menus to the table. If the owner, with their high sense of humor, doesn’t recall our booking, I’d like to point out that after us, another eight people arrived looking for a table. Despite the crowd, the staff eventually found seating for everyone, even though it was clear they were overwhelmed. We understood that expectations should be adjusted for such a busy night, and I even mentioned in my initial review that it might have been a bad moment. However, the owner’s response to my review made me wonder if this was simply routine for the establishment. To clarify, the owner is correct that there were two staff members behind the bar and one working outside, not three behind the bar as I had initially stated. That said, if they insist we didn’t come, I can provide a screenshot of my phone log to confirm the call. In response to the owner’s question about where we went after: Yes, we walked five minutes to Megan's. There, despite being their last walk-in customers for the night, we experienced some of the best service in London. What stood out most at the original venue was the lack of attention when I stood in front of the bar to place our order. It felt as though no one noticed or cared.

First of all we stood there for a good 10 mins at an empty bar just to order a beer and some chips. Bowl of chips was pathetic, could have counted on two hands how many chips were on the plate, didn’t come with salt or sauces, absolute ripoff, gotta be better! England ain’t running out of potatoes, Good Guiness tho
