The Shed in Kensington and Chelsea

This place is still great as ever. We hadn’t visited in way too long and popped in this evening for the Christmas tasting menu. Inventive and exciting dishes were served by an attentive staff. Cozy anytime, but especially around the holidays, The Shed does not disappoint. A great culinary experience all around.

Food unfortunately was not great. Bland and tasteless not season well. They source sustainable ingredients in season surely can do better than that with those ingredients available No sauce on the salad at all and also no seasoning on it. Pollack Wellington also has no seasoning on the fish or even the sauce that come with it was bland. Need to use a more flavourful fish to bring out the taste of this dish eg. Like salmon or up the flavour of the sauce that come with this dish. I only like the warm fresh bread at the start of the meal.

This has to be my favorite dinner night of the year ❤️ Getting locked out of the flat turned out to be an unexpected gift for both me and the silly~ The atmosphere, the food, and the company made it truly special. He enjoyed it so much, and I couldn’t have been happier to spend time with him like this❤️ Highly recommend this spot for a romantic dinner!

We just had a fantastic experience in this cosy restaurant. Apparently they change the menu (almost?) every day. In any, we considered ourselves really lucky with today's menu. We ordered and shared many dishes and they were all amazing. With nothing but local ingredients and very well prepared by an outstanding kitchen and despite many occupied tables we did not suffer from any delays. All dishes served with enthusiasm. And none of the dishes were too heavy and that's why we were able to order 4 of the lovely deserts. As one can imagine, we would really like to return here asap.

This is a great neighbourhood restaurant, slightly tucked away from the busyness of Notting Hill. Farm-to-table concept where you can truly feel the pride that goes into making every dish. Great flavours and great variety of dishes. Friendly and knowledgeable service and unpretentious, ambient atmosphere. - Value for money? Yes - Worth a detour? Yes - Best for (occasion)? When you want to eat really well, in a casual setting - Would I go back? Absolutely

Fantastic place brilliant food we liked all 4 dishes and heard the other tables enjoyed their's as well. Service was good but very friendly and pleasant Slightly cold at our table but not much you can do however beutiful and cozy location, great!

Disappointing experience. We were seated 25 minutes after our reserved time. Food was bland. Servings inexplicably small. Taste was nothing special. Service was awkward and inexperienced, but staff were generally willing to put in the effort (hence the two stars). Avoid the lemon meringue dessert

We arrived at the Shed around 22.15 in time for our booking. When we arrived it looked like the servers hadn't realised we had booked last minute, and seemed a bit startled. Dani, our server, was super friendly, helpful and politely let us know we had to order quickly as the kitchen closed soon. The other male server seemed more annoyed at us and we felt he was about rude throughout the dinner. Our starters were amazing. For mains we had the cauliflower steak and the beef filet. The cauliflower was perfectly balanced, however the beef was a little over done but still fantastic. When it came to desserts, there was some strange aggression/ energy from the male server again. He said there was only one option for dessert left, but then the female server told us there was also a cheesecake option. This made the environment slightly strange, as the staff didn't seem coordinated. It felt like we were being rushed out by the male server. Overall, it was a pleasant meal and in the future we will make sure to book earlier. I really recommend it 👌🙏🙂

Delicious food, and a sweet little space to enjoy it. The service was excellent, attentive and supportive whilst giving healthy space to enjoy ourselves.

This place is a hidden gem. From outside you are immediately capture by the location, the external seats and lights are very suggestive. Then inside the interior is very sophisticated but with an original touch. The food is delicious and the staff and service are the best I could find, if you are near Notting Hill don’t miss this place!

Excellent food at reasonable prices (for the area). Had a lovely evening here with friends, they were very friendly and managed to accommodate 4 of us with no booking. Will defiantly be returning

We had an amazing evening at The Shed. Although there was a brief wait, the host graciously offered us complimentary fizz, making us feel welcome right away. The staff’s personalized attention made all the difference, allowing us to take our time without feeling rushed. The gluten-free options were plentiful and delicious, proving the kitchen’s commitment to quality and flavor. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the service was top-notch—attentive and genuinely warm. Overall, The Shed is a perfect blend of incredible food and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

The food at the Shed is always varied, fresh, and original. The wine list is interesting and reasonably priced - you don't feel guilty drinking plentiful quantities - and the ambience and service always cheerful. As a group of ten, we simply "ordered the menu" for a fantastic selection of foods to share.

Excellent, tasty food, nicely arranged. Nice atmosphere and service. We were five people and we all opted for a set menu (without wine pairing though since it was mid-week and we had an early morning). I'd definitely go again and try another menu with wine pairing.

Brilliant friendly restaurant with great choice of healthy food and lovely English white wines! The restaurant was full and very lively but you could still hold a conversation. The John Dory main course was wonderful

A fantastic meal, wasn’t sure what to expect but it was amazing. Delicious appetisers and the best sea bass I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!

The small plates are perfect to share and try out multiple dishes. We loved the hummus, artichoke tarts, gnocchi, and chorizo! Our waiter was fantastic with lots of knowledge about the menu and very personable.

You never go wrong with the Shed. They’re warm and welcoming and the food is really good

Not my first time. Went with my manager - Welsh - to celebrate my last day at work. He was not expecting such atmosphere near a busy area as Notting hill. Food and rest made our a very nice day. At the Shed you can eat and drinks with circa £30 fix menú or spoil yourself with something more exclusive. So, all pocket are welcome

El menú era muy limitado y sin opción. Las porciones eran minúsculas, especialmente la principal que se sentía como un entrante. El postre, aunque sabroso, también era pequeño. Pedimos pan extra y un plato adicional, pagamos mucho dinero, y nos fuimos semi hambrientos. Había algunos platos sabrosos, pero en general nos fuimos bastante decepcionados.

Tuve que organizar una cena recientemente con colegas de negocios de EE.UU. y Francia. Era un grupo joven pero exigente y fuimos a The Shed y pedimos el menú local y salvaje. Todo era fantástico - - comida, vino y servicio. Sentado en la "Mesa de Carnicero", que es ovalada y probablemente puede alojar a más de 10 personas. Gran experiencia!

We didn’t know quite what to expect but this place really is worth a visit. The decor is charming and rather quirky - great use of a big mirror. Farm inspired decor eg tractor picture wallpaper in the loo. We were made to feel very welcome and the menu was very interesting and it took us a long time to choose. The service was good and we felt they really wanted us to enjoy our meals. We enjoyed the wines we chose, particularly the English Rose. Thoroughly recommend.

Delicious menu selection and very good service from Chris!

Absolutely exquisite set menu, from minute marmite mushroom eclair through cured mackerel, then burrata, flank steak with onion purée, chocolate mousse and a simple mint tea to end. The Manhattan with Adnams whisky was also delicious. Crowded and a bit noisy, but fun decor and friendly atmosphere. Servers were helpful and answered all our many questions about the dishes, and they let me take a selfie with the stuffed boar head on the wall. A la carte menu also looked great.

Chris was excellent!! Very attentive and helpful with making decisions. Food was ok. The goat cheese mousse and artichoke tart were fantastic!

Let’s just start with I have never before felt compelled to write a negative restaurant review. However, I am doing so given the exorbitant pricing and anticipation of a great meal. My husband and I left (or better phrased, were RUSHED OUT). They make it clearly apparent that all they are trying to do is get you out to get the next suckers into this restaurant. The server literally kept coming by to “check on us” every 3 minutes to the point where my husband was ready to explode (so unlike him). Shame shame shame on the Shed. Food was decent- not spectacular. Our meal should have lasted at least 1 1/2 hours, but with the swift as lightning service got us out of there in and hour and ten.BUYER BEWARE.

Lugar divertido para probar. No es lo que esperaba. Espacio muy pequeño y muy estrecho. El personal era amable y profesional. En cuanto a la comida. Los entrantes eran diminutos, quiero decir diminutos. La camarera quería que añadiéramos comida (cuidado) y la cuenta se suma rápidamente. Poco o ningún gusto, platos principales muy sosos. Una copa de vino era tan pequeña que mi esposa pensó que podría ser una copa de cata para ver si le gustaba. Nunca he visto una copa de vino tan pequeña. Sin embargo, el lugar estaba ocupado por lo que a algunas personas les gusta. No volvería. 5 / 10

A small place with great food! From the host to the rest of the staff, our servers Chris and Mikey all were smiling, helpful and had good recommendations. Highlights for me were the venison croquettes and the bavette. Unctuous and earthy. Had some bright vintage sparkling wine and solid recs from Chris for reds. Thank you!

One word sums up our visit, amazing!!! Service was great, food was sublime and the quirky decor helped make the overall atmosphere brilliant. I would whole heartedly recommend a visit.......

Our Server Anne was wonderful! We had come in for more of drink & tapas stop. The menu was unique she was able to recommend items that suited our taste. The Sussex chorizo, mushroom ragú, and roasted potatoes really hit the spot.

The sommelier guy which I don't recall his name was great, one of the best services I've ever got. The girl on the other side although very polite seemed a little bit hasty but understandable given the fact that the restaurant was packed. We order 10 dishes. Small quantities but the majority were very tastefully. Especially the lamp leg and the sardines. Expensive though. 173, tip included for 2 people plus 2 glasses of wine. Also, we got charged for tap water althoug we ordered still.

Unconfortable, slow, badly managed, poor facilities, good chef. And 13.5% service!!! (Ouch). Whomever came up with the design of tables/seating must be hanged. Sunday mass is more confortable than eating in this place. Service very slow, food arrived cold. Need to put baby changing facilites. Come on doesnt cost anything. Having to change a diaper next to tables is not hygenic. Even airplanes toilets have one. Need to up their game or this joint wont last.

I feel three stars is maybe a bit harsh but unfortunately had quite a few issues when eating here. The positives, the concept of the restaurant is great with farm to table and a big approach to sustainable. My main and dessert were also really nice, and whilst I never ordered the tasting menu looks good value and would be a good purchase. The restaurant itself was nice too and a nice atmosphere although was very warm inside although this was in the midst of a heat wave I visited. Unfortunately, there were a few issues during my evening here. Firstly the wine we purchased was ok, but upon looking at the purchase price the mark up price on this was way beyond what you would expect which was a shame to see. The scallops (pictured) were nice but never in my life had I seen scallops of this size and for the price it felt a bit short of expected. Also when I made the reservation there was no mention of being expected to return the table by a certain time, but towards the end of the meal we were asked to sit outside if we wanted to finish our drinks as there were people waiting to be served. Thankfully it was quite nice outside (and there were heaters to keep us warm) but felt like we were being forced out of the restaurant when we still had wine to finish and any further drinks we wished. I would come back and hopefully have a better experience next time as I wanted to enjoy my evening more than I did for the reasons above, hopefully will have a better review next time.

Re visited for a Birthday celebration and received a warm welcome and kindly accomodated even without a booking. Food was excellent and knowledge of staff impressive. We would like to single out Georgia, in particular, for her excellent customer service and care throughout our visit.

A real fave - been here several times and it's always excellent. All locally and ethically sourced ingredients, top notch preparation and presentation, and a terrific wine list. The farm to fork tasting menu is a great value. Emil's knowledge of wine and his recommendations were the icing on the cake of a marvellous evening with family.

Went to the Shed with the family on Wednesday night. Excellent service from the amazing front of house staff and management (Mikey, Tom, Chris, Emil and Val) Had a wonderful evening with the best lamb, bavette and venison main courses ever, an amazing amount of wine selection with our wine pairings was immaculately complimentary! The knowledge, care and experience from all of the staff was appreciated! Special thank you to the incredible chefs who took their expertise care to our food for a true farm to fork experience! Thank you for a memorable evening - one we won’t soon forget!

First night in London. Random choice to eat dinner at The Shed. AMAZING!! Food was absolute HEAVEN! Atmosphere is so cozy and cute. Kia was our server and was just incredible! I do not know how she managed so many tables so well. She’s off to college for a few months now and we wish her the very best! She will excel at anything she does in Marketing! I strongly recommend The Shed if you are over in the Kensington (west) side of London. Your stomach will thank you!

Delicious food, beautiful venue, great and attentive service, very nice food and wine recommendations. We really enjoyed our experience. (Only reason for not giving 5 stars through and through: we were offered to pay without previously receiving the bill. When asking for and receiving the bill, it turned out the amount on the contactless payment machine was wrong - it was much lower than what we should have paid).

My wife and I were in the area, so we popped into this place by chance and we weren't disappointed. The staff, specifically Chris and Mikey, were really attentive. My wife being pregnant, mentioned this and Chris advised on what she could probably have. The food tasted great and looked equally as awesome. The decor was really cosy and cute, fitting the menu perfectly. We'll definitely be back.

Some of the food was tasty but a fast talking waitress upsold us on a carafe of wine. We were shocked when we got the bill to discover that the wine almost doubled the cost of an expensive meal. We will not go back.

Delicious food and insanely efficient service as soon as we walked in and shown to our table by the Manager/Host Mikey. Nothing was to much to ask for. Mikey took time to explain all the dishes we asked about and did it so well, we could taste it even before we got it and WOW it was delicious when it arrived. There were just enough banter to make the night extra special and to top it off he made sure our glasses was never empty. Have already booked our next dinner.
