Had a wonderful meal at the shed from their local and wild menu yesterday. Service by Kia was impeccable and highly attentive. Sous chef/head chef asked us when leaving if we enjoyed our meal and what they could have done to improve, if at all. Which shows the great initiative and culture of the shed in improving upon their dining experience.

We had a magical evening at the shed, the farm to table food, wine and vibes were amazing- and a special thanks to the lovely Tom for making our evening so special!

The food was good, ingredients clearly good and some good vision. But execution was slightly off. The marmite eclair, fantastic flavour, but the choux pastry was tired and overcooked. The grilled sardines had a lovely charred flavour, but lacked salt and acidity. The sea bass with beurre blanc smelt lovely, sauce was excellent but salt was missing massively and the dish fell flat, it was quite one dimensional. A hell of a lot of potential, but for the price - the execution is lacking.

I had another incredible dining experience at The Shed in Notting Hill. The food was fantastic as always, and the staff were amazing. Every time I’m in London, I make sure to visit this gem. Thomas, our host that night, was particularly lovely. We were seated near the open kitchen, where the chef generously offered us a few samples and a piece of a truly delicious cake. It was a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more special. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to London and dining at The Shed again. Thank you to The Shed Team—you are brilliant! ❤️

Visiting London for a few days and had the most amazing lunch at the Shed. The bartender Kia prepared perfectly blended cocktails, and Mikey gave great food recommendations. Highly recommend if you’re in the Notting gate area.

This is a great neighbourhood restaurant, slightly tucked away from the busyness of Notting Hill. Farm-to-table concept where you can truly feel the pride that goes into making every dish. Great flavours and great variety of dishes. Friendly and knowledgeable service and unpretentious, ambient atmosphere. - Value for money? Yes - Worth a detour? Yes - Best for (occasion)? When you want to eat really well, in a casual setting - Would I go back? Absolutely

The place I came to 8 years ago is still the same beauty and taste. Kostas' service was excellent. Edit; Unfortunately, we had a sad experience with a very bad and very rude service staff at the restaurant we went to again as a family on August 24th. We told the friend who said that he could serve the tasting menu to the whole table that our daughter was a vegetarian and wanted to make an independent choice. He was quite angry and tense while talking about these, and this tense attitude continued afterwards. did. When we asked for the bill, we did not want to pay the service fee that was included in the bill, because we were not satisfied. When we saw this, the server threw the dessert we wanted on the table without even asking why. He pushed the limits of rudeness by telling my wife, who said "you should throw it away, next time".. IT DID NOT SUIT THE SHED

I came in with my kids the other day and was greeted by a lovely young man named Thomas. Thomas and the staff members kindly hosted us and took care of our every need. I would also rate the food very highly and I will indeed be coming back again.

Thomas is very friendly, and he noticed details and make customers feel like home, very nice. Chris is more experienced and he lit up the candles and make people laugh. I had a great time at The Shed.

First time here and overall it was a great experience. Food was great - unique dishes and tasty. Localy sourced sparkling wine was also very good, friendly staff and excellent atmosphere - it was a nice busy hum of lunchtime. A few minor faults - we had the eclairs to kick off which were delicious, but then had a bit of a long wait to get our actual starter considering we were at the time ony one of 3 tables. Had a glass of Syrah with the main, it was great but then it should be at 10 pounds for a 125 glass. The bottle was 50, and whilst I understand that restaurants need to make a living, you can buy the same bottle online for 13 pounds, so the mark-up seemed a little steep. Finally, the set menu is very reasonably priced and that's what we went for. We saw the lamb on the main menu and this was also on teh set one so we went for it. But the set menu version is not really a main course. 4 small pieces of lamb with puree and one sardine. I could've eaten it in seconds but tried to take my time. It made me think that this was not the same size lamb you'd receive if you had the a la carte version at 26 pounds. If that is the case, then diners should be made aware that the set menu version is smaller.

Chris amd Thomas were very attentive. We had 2 people who needed to leave within 1 hour and the service was very accommodating.

Delicious food, beautiful venue, great and attentive service, very nice food and wine recommendations. We really enjoyed our experience. (Only reason for not giving 5 starts through and through: we were offered to pay without previously receiving the bill. When asking for and receiving the bill, it turned out the amount on the contactless payment machine was wrong - it was much lower than what we should have paid).

It’s the first time we visited The Shed and we were really impressed with the menu and the service (Kia was friendly, good at checking your needs and answering any questions, Tom was also very welcoming). The food was delicious and good portions. Drinks were fab - I tried The Shed signature cocktail and it was yummy. We will be back - it was a great dining experience.

Rustic looking small place on a side road . Farm to fork approach, local sourcing . Nice range of dishes. Tasting menu gave a broad sweep of their options . Whipped Cods roe on purple potato crisp was delicious . Steamed broccoli with cashew cream also. Lamb with aubergine pretty good . Lemon meringue tart was tasty but pastry v hard. Some of the dishes could have just done with a little a bit more to make them 5 star for me , just lacked that edge. But did enjoy it, would give 4 and a half stars of feasible !

So good. Mirabelle was adorable. Why can't all servers illustrate the same passion for the food they are serving and how they talk about it. And the food? Wonderfully creative. As good as I've eaten for a very long time.

Emils and Mickey will make sure you will be look after as a King! Food it’s amazing specially their selection of starters, mains are delicious as well! Daily loosners to start with and following with a bottle of Chateaux Angludet! Amazing wine list and Emils always there to guide you throughout it.! Definitely worth to come back!

Fantastic food. Love the concept of small, large and medium plates! Felt like we were eating a tasting menu with most dishes very well made. Attentive service from Kia. The marmite cigars were tasty and creative. Although I'm not a fan of goats cheese, the tarts with a burst of honey were amazing. Enjoyed the small pasta portion, perfect size when you want to try several dishes and great variety. Worth leaving room for dessert, was spoilt for choice with the lemon tart being light, zingy and refreshing. Broad bean hummus was fairly bland and mackerel wasn't anything special but wowed by everything else. Old fashioned banana rum cocktail was delicious!

Lovely neighbourhood restaurant serving a very selective menu that's prepared to perfection. Nice staff , could do with a smile though. We had the lamb and ribeye steak with some extras plus wine.

We really enjoyed our evening at the Shed. The service was great and the food was delicious. A really cozy place to have an English meal. We ordered the Grouse and the Pork and loved both.

Hosted a dinner party for 30 last night and it was amazing! The food was absolutely incredible, with interesting and delicious dishes that impressed everyone. The crispy potatoes were a must! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. A special shoutout to Tom for his exceptional service. Highly recommend!

Lovely service and delicious food with a special fine touch for starters

Really disappointing. We knew this was pricier coming in due to the farm to table focus, but are keen on supporting small ventures and it had come recommended. When the Shed Bread starter came out as three tiny slices of dry baguette (£5) we knew we had made a mistake. The full portion ravioli (£21) was four pieces, the sea bass main (£24) was a thin slice over what was maybe half a bell pepper with very little flavor, and the shareable salad (£10) was five pieces of gritty lettuce. Overall, underwhelming flavors at a high price.

Chris was fantastic and the food was true farm to table excellence. Great wine, excellent cooks and service. Couldn't ask for more; we will be back.

The owner and staff super friendly and welcoming the menu is small but all fresh (the way it should be) and from their own farm. The sea bass was delicious and sides of parsnips were the best I’ve ever had. The lamb and beef looked amazing and I was envious of other diners plates. The farm theme was nice but a little uncomfortable for sitting for a long time would be my only criticism

Must say this was a true find, great ambience and relaxed vibe with a high quality menu and drinks, and the service was outstanding thanks to Emi, who was very thorough and attentive, as were the other staff. Food was delicious :) thank you, the owners really should have all their other branches listed on the menu as we only realised there were other restaurants/bistro/bars by same group when Emi told us and gave us a card with them all on. Thank you for a great experience. Will be back for sure.

I'm going to give my full honest review of this place. When I walked in with my friend no one welcomed us no one spoke with us and when we spoke to someone they asked if we had a reservation we said no it took them a good 15 mins to tell us we can sit. I felt very un welcomed there it was a very awkward and uncomfortable feeling at the beginning the menu was unfamiliar to me and it was so dreadful asking what I was trying to eat. We started with startes which was the pesto burata. The moment I ate that I forgot about everything was really enjoying it like alot! Then I got this lamb rump, and it was very very very good I also tried my friends beef bavette it was out of this world it was soooo good! The French waiter that was there was extra nice as well she was just the kindest there and made the whole experience 1000% better. Awkward and uncomfortable start but then great food and left happy with the food experience.

The setting is lovely, well appointed but the food is dull and the prices are high. Never again.

The food and atmosphere is amazing one of the best spots in London but what really takes this place over the edge is the service and especially our waiter Eni! Eni got our food out extremely fast and was perfectly attentive I needed for nothing!

Upon the review here we explored this place near our Nottinghill hotel. After a long day journey we were hungry and opted for the GBP 50 menu plus GBP 30 wine by glass deal. What a fiasco. They simply don’t know to prepare a decent meal, even less a 6 course menu. The wines were served at room temperature when they should be chilled et etc etc… A wasted London evening. Stay away.

Food was great, service even better

We booked a table for the Shed at 7pm on a Thursday. The food was very tasty but everything came so quickly and we had barely had our plates taken from main course when they were asking us if we wanted dessert. When we declined dessert, they brought us the bill soon after telling us there was a table waiting, this was at 7.50pm we had been there just 50 minutes (and spent £90) they hadn't asked us if we wanted another drink or if we wanted to go to the bar. I asked the very young waitress if we only got an hour for the table and she couldn't answer, luckily a more senior member of staff stepped in and said we could sit in the bar, where we had a cocktail afterwards. This could have been handled a lot better as for the price you are paying and any kind of restaurant experience, you don't want to feel chased out of a restaurant! It's a shame because the food was good but we wouldn't go again.

Great location, good food, very nice ambiance on a Monday night. Two staff members that stood out personally were Eugenie and Summer, two lovely girls, very charming and welcoming. They both exceeded at their duties and very quick on the spot.

Very polite and friendly service from Danni and Tom with a good sense of humour which made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh, interesting in presentation and very tasty indeed. It has a happy and calm atmosphere, and I will make it a regular visit. Thank you.

I’ve visited The Shed a few times before and really enjoyed it. So it was the perfect venue to take my friend for her birthday lunch. The food was fantastic, could have happily chosen anything from the menu. Cornish sardines, goat’s cheese gnocchi with truffle oil, sea bass with herb oil and a range of delicious veggie sides….we were spoilt! Also really appreciated the sweet birthday treat they gave my friend. Service was good and very friendly. Looking forward to visiting again and also trying out their other venues.

I came here with a friend for a light dinner, when we arrived the atmosphere was quite lovely at first although unfortunately as we started ordering we were pushed by the waitress to order more food, sides etc even though we said that we didn’t fancy it around 5 times. The burrata was unseasoned, as was then Beef bavette which was cold, chewy and had very little taste. When we finished our food, we felt as though we were being pushed out even though we were just trying to finish our wine. Very bad service at a very high price point. I’m a local to the area and felt like it was a bit of a tourist trap.

I have been visiting the Shed 3 weeks in a row. 2 lunches, 1 diner. I strongly adhere to the idea of having organic food sourced "locally". They deliver it genuinely at The Shed, it goes a step further even with their farm to mouth approach (That's the way I phrase it, you might find a slightly more elegant "farm to fork" slogan online...). Then kitchen steps in and gives it a twist, and it waiters - we had Mickey and Chris yesterday - bring it to you with a smile, not too formal in their style yet attentive. I visit another sister restaurant "The Rabbit" from time to time and equally recommend it. The Shed has a small terrasse in addition which is a plus on these few days when the sun shines over England. Staff was very accommodative to unroll the blind then move us to another table in the shade, a very good moment as a result!
