Unfortunately we waited nearly 30 Min to have some pancakes, the food arrived totally cold and the 15' pancake was a crepe with nothing to do with a pancake. Portions are big at least, the taste acceptable.

I have not been to MOD in many years and was pleased to see their refurb done well! I'm glad given the recent hikes in cost of living, they still continued their "Monday Madness" offer. It was lively and we were welcomed warmly by the team. In fact I was being cheeky and observing the team member's actions and conduct and I can fully say service is their priority! A couple of customers were giving feedback about the pancake texture not being to their liking or other small trivial things and the team did not hesitate to get it changed immediately. Our food was excellent, no fuss at all and absolutely tasty! Very accommodating as one of the team members kindly brought over a child stool for the little one in our party. It's a shame over the years MOD downsized and other branches closed, but it seems Chelsea is going strong.

Pancakes seem fine. Visited a few times. It’s expensive for pancakes but if you go on a Monday it’s okay. I got charged an optional service charge but I wasn’t given the option. It was just added to my bill. I didn’t realise until I got home. This was the price of another pancake without telling me. Wasn’t worth it tbh. I won’t visit again. Definitely not on a weekend.

One of my favorite brunch places in London. I've been coming here for quite a while and have enjoyed it every time. The quality is very value for money, and is very consistent, and the service is amazing.

A delightful dish - sweet or savory - of pancakes

Met up with a friend at this old Dutch location. Didn't have much expectation at first, but was surprised at what they had. Ordered two savory pancakes for me and my wife and my friends order others too. Service was good and the table we sat at whilst big, was a little inconvenient, but not troublesome. Overall had a great experience here and will certainly come back.

The food was delicious and there was an extremely good value two-course deal. The waiter was also incredible. The waiter could remember the order of a dozen people perfectly by heart. Now that's what I call impressive!

I love pancakes, that's why we came here one Sunday.The size of pancake is good, but it was bit cold.My partner's food also bit cold , taste not as we expect.Overall is not a bad place to go, for a budget breakfast.

Pancakes weren't great didn't taste fresh tbh.... fruit had no taste to it, again tell its not fresh frozen!! Also 12.5% tip is discretionary, I shouldn't get change of attitude and looks from waiter because I asked him to remove it

Ordered a gluten free pancake, which was clearly acknowledged by the waiter however received a gluten pancake. Terrible mistake where we had to ask twice to se if the pancake was gluten free.

After seeing good reviews we decided to go there for lunch. We ordered 2 sweets and 1 savoury pancakes, nachos and chilli fries. All the dishes were very so delicious and presented so beautifully. The upstairs ambience was so pretty, but we couldn't get the table there and sat downstairs. The downstairs ambience was ok. The food portion was good and so was the quality. The staff and the service were good. If you are a pancake lover you must visit this place. Can't give 4.5 stars, as it is not an option, hence given 4 stars.

Don’t recommend for vegans. Considering the vegan food is excluded from discount, the expectation and reality was far different. I brought this for £14 truly the worst waste of money I’ve ever experienced.

Pancake was ok but nothing amazing. We went for sweet. Looking at other google photos maybe the savoury options are the way to go. £15 for a pancake with a few strawberries and spray cream seemed a lot. Can't see going back.

Had wanted to come to this place since the 90’s and had never got round to it. Pancakes were ok, staff were ok, cappuccino was awful. I won’t rush back, so I guess that means some time in the 2050’s

Superb, authentic Dutch pancakes. A long time favourite of mine since I lived and worked in the Netherlands in the late 1980s. Beautifully done in Chelsea! 👍

Had brunch yesterday and it was superb as always.

We had the gluten and vegan pancake with a selection of fruits and chocolate sauce. It was by far the best pancake I've ever had so would highly recommend. Served in good time, restaurant was clean. One thing I would say is the member of staff could have not been as miserable but it wasn't so bad that I would never go back.

Outstanding pancakes!! I realised I first ate here over 40 years ago and the pancakes are just as delicious and enormous now as they were then. An amazing selection of flavours and they are huge!! Absolutely delicious. Very highly recommended.

My partner and I were very excited about having breakfast this morning at My Old Dutch, as we really enjoy pancakes and crêpes. The restaurant looks inviting and colorful with faux tulips hanging from the ceiling, and what appeared to be Delft-style porcelain tiles on the walls. We were one of the first people to arrive, yet it seemed that it took ages for the waiter to come to take our drinks order. He appeared to want to be anywhere else than on the job. To be fair, orange juice and coffee were very good. But it all went downhill from there. My partner had a 15-inch pancake with lemon and sugar. Sadly the pancake was too thick and not cooked enough, and the batter was of low quality. I had the stack of “butterscotch” pancakes with maple syrup. The pancakes were not as fluffy as they should have been and were very dry. The maple syrup was not in fact real maple syrup, and tasted completely artificial. After attempting to hail the waiter many times to ask if they had real maple syrup, he said he would check, and never came back. We had hardly touched the food, and asked the manager for the bill. He took payment, and did not even ask if everything was alright. He must have noticed that so much food had been untouched, but probably knew what we would have said. I rarely write reviews, especially within minutes of the experience, but I really thought this was one of the poorest breakfast experiences I have ever had. Indifferent service and bad food, we will certainly never go back. And will be sure to tell our friends not to bother.

For a restaurant specialised in pancakes it would be good for them to know how to make them. Quality was poor and texture was nothing close to what a pancake should be. Beware of claim that they serve maple syrup. They do not use real maple syrup, rather some poor quality artificial substitute. Service was appalling. Extremely disappointing experience. Will never return.

After being seated (by a waiter) and after 30 min or so, nobody took my order. Clearly neglected by the staff (people who came after me were served straightaway). Quite disappointing experience.

Very disappointed. I ordered Nutella pancakes as the main, with whipped cream as a side, and Ferrero Rocher chocolates an extra. They gave me an extremely thin pancake which was basically a crepe, filled it with sugar, put five dollops of cream, and 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates carelessly cut up in half to look like 6. After that, I had to wait another 3 minutes to get the Nutella, the actual main part of my order, which was served in a paper cup similar to the ones used for sauces at McDonalds. The Nutella was obviously quite old as it was difficult to spread on my sugar filled pancake. Not one person who worked at 'My Old Dutch' was even Dutch - they clearly didn't know how to serve the food properly. Also, the tables are too small in order to fit the huge plates in which they serve their food. Very disappointed.

The chocolate chip pancakes tasted like poopy pudding

I had the biscoff Easter special butterscotch pancakes, they were ok but a bit on the dry side. Restaurant had a good atmosphere, service was ok.

I liked the variety of pancake options but as a dutch person, but the quality wasnt great. The wholepoffertjes situation was a bit sad as they were just heated up and displayed in an odd way on a plate with awkwardly positioned butter and lack of powdered sugar. The chocolate sauce (chocolate and coconut oil?) was very… interesting. (3/5)

I took my mother here for Mother’s Day meal and the savoury pancakes were ideal ! I recommend my old Dutch

Me, my mum and her fiance went out here for something to eat for brunch today, but when we got there and took our orders they took more than 20 minutes just to bring us some sparkling water, then we waited another 10 minutes to get our milkshakes (very simple banana shake). By that time we realized they had completely forgot about us! And that's not it, because they forgot we even existed, they rushed our orders and my mums pancake came out really claggy and undercooked. Because it came out so disgustingly, she ordered another which then was missing ingredients. And for the cherry on top, they forgot to give us cutlery. This place was thoroughly disappointing and I do not recommend this to anyone.

Great pancakes spot in kings road. Affordable prices. I had the savoury Greek pancake and it was yummy.

Ambiance was nice, however service was very slow and lacking. Food was nothing special, my pancake (salmon & egg) was very bland, spinach was served raw. And the smoked salmon was very thick and fatty.

Fantastic staff, ambiance and of course PANCAKES!!! We met up with friends that we have not seen in 4 years. We did not feel rushed and had a fantastic time catching up over some magnificent pancakes. This place is a gem.

My Old Dutch never fails. We enjoy every visit as if it’s the first time. Obs we have our favorite from the menu, but trying something new every time is exciting! My 4th visit!

Really nice atmosphere and decent quality pancakes. Service was excellent and catered well for our large group and daughters with a couple of nice touches thrown in from staff.

We both had a sugar and lemon pancake. They arrived quickly, but were cold. It didn’t help that the waiter was holding our plates in one hand while taking payment for another customer’s food 3 steps away with the card machine in the other hand. Nevertheless, the taste was nice, just could have done with being a bit warmer.

Expensive for what it is. The beacon on my savoury crepe was very hard and surely not fresh. We payed 7.5pound for a very small salad. The total bill was 47pound for two thin savoury crepes and a tiny salad.

After being seated and then having placed our order, the drinks arrived (sparkling water and a fresh orange juice), but we ended up waiting 51 minutes (we asked the staff member as they had it noted on the till) and still no pancakes on pancake day! So we decided to leave! We paid for the drinks and asked to speak to the manager who wasn't very apologetic since we had to ask for an apology and just came up with excuses and then talking about if we come here next time; we won't ever return after this experience! They didn't even offer to pay for our drinks as a minimum for our precious time wasted! Other people who arrived after us received their orders before ours! I felt there was some racial profiling going on being the only South Asian people who weren't served; the only other time we've felt like that was in Vienna, Austria! Please don't waste your time going here, especially if you're South Asian! Terrible staff and customer service! If there was an option for 0 rating we would have selected that, but 1 star is the minimum! So disappointed on pancake day!

Truly awful experience. The manager or owner is the rudest person I have ever met and should be nowhere near a customer service position. I understand that it was pancake day and they were very busy but we had pre booked, arrived on time and were treated like an inconvenience, or even an annoyance to him from the moment we arrived, starting with closing the heavy front door in my 4 year old’s face as he went to step inside. The rudeness continued throughout our booking and when I finally called him out on it (and he raised his voice at me for doing so), I was literally applauded by other customers who were having the same experience. Our food (which to be fair, tasted good) took over an hour to arrive, and when it did, one of our meals was incorrect and another one missing altogether. When the missing meal finally arrived, that was incorrect as well but we simply couldn’t wait any longer for it to be rectified. Other staff members were very nice, only this hideous man was the problem. I would also note that he was rude to many other customers, and all customers (mostly families) waited a very long time for food, EXCEPT for the 2 young beautiful blondes who arrived and were treated like queens, given free drinks, got their food almost immediately, he constantly checked on them with a big grin on his face, etc etc. And just to top off the experience, after we left, I got an email from Open Table saying that the manager had put us down as “No shows”. Just don’t waste your time on this place.

We normally attend the High Holborn branch, but due to our location in London on that day we opted for the Chelsea branch as it was closer. We booked ahead, knowing it would be busy with it being pancake day. As a Dutch National living in the UK, its the closest I can get to some of my home cooked foods in the UK. When we arrived the greeting we got wasn't particularly friendly, we were told before asking if we had a a reservation to go and stand outside in the rain with our young child, when the person greeted us eventually, he started stating they were very busy and we should have booked ahead, when I informed him that we had booked and were about 10 mins early (it had taken us quicker to walk from the science museum than we had expected it too), his retort was aggressive again and that we were early. As we had the little one he then allowed us to stand inside just inside the door. We were sat down very quickly after that, and the food arrived quite quickly, however we felt very rushed and start to finish. As soon as we had the last bite, the payment machine was thrusted into our faces. We appreciated it was busy, but at least give us a moment to swallow the last mouthful and finish our drinks! Not he experience we have been used to from this chain, I think we will stick with High Holborn in future. A shame as we had been looking forward to it.

Really disappointed at My Old Dutch in Chelsea, it’s certainly gone down hill in the last couple of years. Cramped seating, so staff and customers are constantly having to squeeze past you. Staff are frustrated, overworked and unfriendly to each other. Our server was very disinterested and low mood, we waited 40 mins before enquiring about our food and it turns out they forgot to put it in the system! Food when it did arrive, as always was simple and satisfying, and as it was a Monday half-price so we excused the bad service as the food was cheap. But any other day of the week at full price, with the service we received, would have been a huge disappointment. The toilets were filthy and obviously hadn’t been serviced all day as there was toilet paper over the floor and the sanitary towel bin was overflowing! The pretty decor does nothing to cover what is obviously a broken stag and serving system that needs a review. I’ve had better experience at the Holborn branch but this is the second time at Chelsea and it’s unfortunately always been disappointing experience. Sadly, I think its time to find a new pancake house.

Wow. The staff working here are outstanding. I was there with. Friend and my difficult 3 year old. The staff were so friendly and nice and did their best to keep him entertained whilst running a full restaurant.

Fantastic experience, I have not been for years to the restaurant and was as great as I remembered it if not better. I actually would not go anywhere else for crepes. They are fluffy and soft and absolute best. I took my boyfriend there and he really enjoyed it. Service was really excellent and accomodating despite place being fully booked it didn't feel hectic. The duck pancake was amazing, the meat feast looks like something great for hangover but definitely less of a gourmet than the duck pancake. Wish we asked for recommendation. We will definitely come back

Me and my family enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many options in the menu to choose from, and there is a special menu for the kids. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed our time today. I highly recommend it, especially if you have kids.

Lovely little pancake house serving a wide range of both sweet and savory pancakes. Very tasty and well priced for a Kings Road eatery. They also cater for Vegan/Gluten Free/Dairy Free diets. Always busy and lines quite often outside, so best to book to avoid disappointment.

Mediocre. The shakes and smoothies are really good but expensive for what you get. My boyfriend had a savory pancake and didn’t like it at all. It was dry and didn’t have a lot of flavour and was nearly £20, I had the fruit sweet mini pancakes and they were good. Whipped cream tasted like it was out of a can, and none of the fruit was fresh! Unacceptable for what you are paying. Our waitress was also very dismissive and rude.

Great concept and great flavors. Our experience on two visits is that the food can often be served lukewarm or cold and that the service can be slow because they are so busy. One of our orders was incorrect, but we did not ask for correction because we didn’t want to delay the eating (and food getting more cold) of others in our party. We will probably try once more.

It was a very wonderful meal and experience but I thought because it was the celebration of a birthday they’ll give something like a surprise or sing the halls birthday.

We had a reservation, which was a saviour as there was a queue for a table. Tasty and filling savoury pancakes. Ordered two savoury and one sweet, which was fulfilling for two people. Great service and food served quickly.

Visited on New Year’s Day, a little busy however Maris was very helpful over the phone and managed to get us a table asap. We had a slight issue with the food but the staff were amazing and sorted it immediately and with such grace. 5 star service and lovely kind staff, would recommend :)

Stopped by this place for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. The place is really nice with a nice atmosphere and good staff. I understand the prime location and London prices, but paying somewhere between £13-15 for a pancake seems excessive. Portions looked big, but the pancake layer was very thin and definitely had too much toppings which made the texture not very pleasant (it felt like eating only the toppings). We paid over £40 for two very average pancakes and two teas. Maybe we can have more luck with the sweet pancakes, but for the savory ones is a no.

The quality of the food has gone down since my last visit. The staff did not make any efforts to make us feel welcome. The one thing that has gone up substantially is the price…disappointing!

We've been to My Old Dutch a number of times, but sadly they don't have as many outlets as they used to. The one on King's Road is still standing, though. In a great location, the pancakes are still as good and have GF and VG batter as well as toppings/fillings. Service was a little slow, but overall, a fuss-free dining experience.

For a business that has waffle in its name, I was underwhelmed with the portion size. The bacon was cold and the chorizo looked like someone went to Tesco and put it the coldcut meat on a warm plate. The server looked miserable. I looked around and nearly everyone has ordered a crepe. Now I understand why.

This was an absolute Disaster! Cutlery was dirty and the crepes were cold Moreover, this was overexpensive and had an awful service. Our drinks arrived after the meals, and tap water was ignored
