Just (expensive) trash... Ingredients were low quality, pancakes were reheated and rubbery. Definitely one that needs to slide into administration.

Very good little pancake restaurant. I was wondering why some comments showed disappointment. In fact, be careful, there are two kinds of “pancakes”, the 15 inch (large crepes like in France) and the “butterscotch” which are the panecakes like at home. Read :-))

Dear French, this place should be avoided! While passing through Chelsea, my friend and I decided to stop here for a bite to eat before taking the train. When we returned to the establishment we waited a few minutes to be seated as the waiters happily passed in front of us without being aware of our presence. After being seated by an extremely stressed and stressful waiter we looked at the menu (which is very large, a large choice of dishes) I decided to have waffles and my friend pesto pancakes. The waiter sent our order, we specified that we wanted still water (tap water) which unfortunately never arrived! 40 minutes after placing the order our dishes finally arrived, what a disappointment!! The pesto pancakes were nothing other than a huge pancake with disgusting olives, and my waffles which were nothing other than LOTUS waffles that you find in supermarkets and which despite a trip in the oven to warm them up were as hard as a rock! We rushed lunch because we had to take the bus. When paying, the waiter decided for us to divide the bill in two even though we each wanted to pay our share. I feel like I was stuck in the backrooms for over an hour, not liking the experience. On top of that it was expensive. To flee!!

A total let-down. Saturday 22/03/25 afternoon. The crepe/pancake batter was not as good as homemade, the ingredients used; peperoni, ham and cheese worse than frozen food from Iceland. Zero presentation. The service was uncaring and the team was having internal arguments, despite being nice individuals. This needs a pro manager and chef. Until then, avoid.

Such a cute breakfast spot. I have been a few times now and have always had a great meal and good service. I do recommend making reservations.

We ordered 3 "pancakes" and a waffle, we were served 3 pancakes with little topping despite the added options, without any elaboration and a very sweet mini waffle. So yes we are in London but the whole thing remains too expensive for what is on the plate (£40). Belgian and French friends, move on, either we were unlucky the day we went there, or you will inevitably be disappointed. Nice little place within half an hour's walk from the Netherlands embassy, so this Dutchman had to try it. The interior is basic like a diner, but nicely laid out with great wallpaper and tulips on the ceiling. It could do with some Dutch music to add to the atmosphere, though I was thankful of the absence of twee accordeons and organs! The pancake I tried was and Amsterdammer with apple and bacon, both savoury and sweet with a little stroop (syrup). Very nice, crêpe-like structure and quickly delivered. Quickly scoffed too. There's lots of very reasonably priced options both savoury and sweet, though I do miss the "boerenpannenkoek" (farmer's pancake) for the ultimate savoury treat and a "boerenjongens" perhaps too (rum and raisin). Also a Duvel or Leffe is a nice beer, but would that they poured a La Trappe. For a taste of home away from home though, a very nice little place that I would gladly visit again.

Came for a Sunday lunch here and despite the place being busy we were seated very quickly. Service was very good and the waiters were very attentive. Food came incredibly quickly (one of the benefits of ordering pancakes). Food was lovely and portion sizes of the crepes were very good. Nice cute decor inside (see pictures). Would definitely recommend for families or as a simple date place. I had the Floria peche beer to drink and would definitely recommend!

The food was excellent and the plates are huge but were not preheated and the edges were cold to the touch. Consequently the pancake arrived lukewarm and was cold within minutes. Don’t let this put you off coming though - if you want hot food just remember to ask the waiter to preheat the plate.

The crêpes are decent—you can’t really go making something as simple as crêpes. While the portion is big, the crêpe itself is quite thin, and the price doesn’t feel justified. They’re also not very generous with the toppings. The flavor is good, but nothing exceptional.

Much preferred the sweet pancakes over the savoury one. 10 of us who got a mixture of food. The bill came to just over £200 in total, including soft drinks which was not bad.

Customers who came in after us were served before us but that’s not the worse part. I ordered butterscotch pancakes and asked for strawberries and blueberries. Instead, they added berry compote which made my pancakes soggy and there was more than what I asked for in there. The waiter could have notified me but he didn’t. I didn’t complain and just put the pancake the berry compote was sitting on to the side of my plate but thought I could give them feedback for future. Another man working there told me ‘there was no point of giving them feedback after it was done’ and was incredibly rude and defensive. I didn’t refuse to pay, I didn't complain, I was simply providing feedback. The team seem incompetent and lacks basic customer service. Wouldn’t recommend this branch.

The pancakes although looking big , it is light and tasty, i have waited for 25 mins to get my order ready!! They didn’t charge me for the drink as a compensation 👍🏻

Since 1958, My Old Dutch has been a London pancake serving staple. On the menu are sweet, savoury, and custom options that are perfect to suit any tastebuds. I opted for a custom savoury pancake, and a Valaya Berry sweet pancake with extra caramel sauce. I was not disappointed - both were lovely, although I wouldn't have minded a bit more flavour in the base of the savoury option. I was overjoyed to see how big the pancake portions were (case in point: photos included). It was truly an indulgent meal, and I really enjoyed every bite. In regards to dietary restrictions, My Old Dutch caters beautifully to gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. All of their allergens are also clearly labelled. My only complaint was the service. We ordered two pancakes at the same time. Our server forgot we ordered a sweet pancake, and it took over 50 minutes to bring the second one out. We also had to prompt him twice to do it. Luckily, I wasn't in a rush, but it would have still been preferable to have been given the sweet one sooner (I was hungry!). I would perhaps excuse this if it was busy, but it was 3:00p.m. on a Thursday. In short, My Old Dutch is a lovely place for pancakes, especially if your party is comprised of those with multiple dietary needs. A truly homely and comforting place all around!

They served my partner ‘poffertjes’ (ie small Dutch pancakes) which were COLD. Not room temperature, but actually cold. We didn’t ask for a refund - they didn’t give us one. Very dissapointed either way, especially since the waiter wasn’t surprised when we’d told them they were cold.

Have been going to My Old Dutch for decades and they never fail to disappoint, you haven’t had a pancake until you’ve had a MOD pancake!!

This place is ok. Not the best. Especially the service. The waiters wearing black were kind and ok but we found that the one wearing a white shirt (maybe the manager) was not at all very welcoming and low and behold he was the one that took our order. We asked about the menu and he was just really unhelpful. He wasn't outright rude but probably a bit condescending in a way expecting that everyone should know the menu and not ask questions (yes it's written there but I asked about adding egg to the pancake and he said yes we can do that it says it there??? I was like where??? I wouldn't ask if I could see it. But the menu is so full off different pancakes that I'm sure that I'm not the only one to have overlooked where the add-ons are placed) Surely "HE" knows where everything is written...he manages the place 🤣. He just wast approachable and seemed quite annoyed with his personal day. We'd also asked for the bill 3 times in a space of 12 minutes (the place was also empty) and on the 3rd attempt I got up to ask again from 2 waiters that were having a bit of a conversation fest. I would come here again for the cheap Monday but DEFINITELY not for the full price if the service is like that.

Unfortunately we waited nearly 30 Min to have some pancakes, the food arrived totally cold and the 15' pancake was a crepe with nothing to do with a pancake. Portions are big at least, the taste acceptable.

I have not been to MOD in many years and was pleased to see their refurb done well! I'm glad given the recent hikes in cost of living, they still continued their "Monday Madness" offer. It was lively and we were welcomed warmly by the team. In fact I was being cheeky and observing the team member's actions and conduct and I can fully say service is their priority! A couple of customers were giving feedback about the pancake texture not being to their liking or other small trivial things and the team did not hesitate to get it changed immediately. Our food was excellent, no fuss at all and absolutely tasty! Very accommodating as one of the team members kindly brought over a child stool for the little one in our party. It's a shame over the years MOD downsized and other branches closed, but it seems Chelsea is going strong.

Pancakes seem fine. Visited a few times. It’s expensive for pancakes but if you go on a Monday it’s okay. I got charged an optional service charge but I wasn’t given the option. It was just added to my bill. I didn’t realise until I got home. This was the price of another pancake without telling me. Wasn’t worth it tbh. I won’t visit again. Definitely not on a weekend.

One of my favorite brunch places in London. I've been coming here for quite a while and have enjoyed it every time. The quality is very value for money, and is very consistent, and the service is amazing.

Met up with a friend at this old Dutch location. Didn't have much expectation at first, but was surprised at what they had. Ordered two savory pancakes for me and my wife and my friends order others too. Service was good and the table we sat at whilst big, was a little inconvenient, but not troublesome. Overall had a great experience here and will certainly come back.

We absolutely adore My Old Dutch and try to visit whenever we’re in London. The Poffertjes are our favourite! Wonderful service, fabulous ambiance, and we always leave happy.

The food was delicious and there was an extremely good value two-course deal. The waiter was also incredible. The waiter could remember the order of a dozen people perfectly by heart. Now that's what I call impressive!

I love pancakes, that's why we came here one Sunday.The size of pancake is good, but it was bit cold.My partner's food also bit cold , taste not as we expect.Overall is not a bad place to go, for a budget breakfast.

Pancakes weren't great didn't taste fresh tbh.... fruit had no taste to it, again tell its not fresh frozen!! Also 12.5% tip is discretionary, I shouldn't get change of attitude and looks from waiter because I asked him to remove it

Ordered a gluten free pancake, which was clearly acknowledged by the waiter however received a gluten pancake. Terrible mistake where we had to ask twice to se if the pancake was gluten free.

After seeing good reviews we decided to go there for lunch. We ordered 2 sweets and 1 savoury pancakes, nachos and chilli fries. All the dishes were very so delicious and presented so beautifully. The upstairs ambience was so pretty, but we couldn't get the table there and sat downstairs. The downstairs ambience was ok. The food portion was good and so was the quality. The staff and the service were good. If you are a pancake lover you must visit this place. Can't give 4.5 stars, as it is not an option, hence given 4 stars.

Don’t recommend for vegans. Considering the vegan food is excluded from discount, the expectation and reality was far different. I brought this for £14 truly the worst waste of money I’ve ever experienced.
