Terrible service. Forget to pour my drinks after I'd paid and disappeared for 5 minutes. The table still hadn't been cleared from the previous customers by the time we left, even after asking.

A quaint little, traditional style London pub on Sloane Street, between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. We only called in for drinks, so I can't comment on the food. But it was busy & the service was OK. We got a seat in the window, a great spot to watch the shoppers go by.

Das Bier schmeckte (für deutsche Verhältnisse) äußerst dürftig und hatte mit über 6 Pfund einen stolzen Preis (allerdings noch vergleichsweise günstig zu anderen Orten). Ich weiß noch immer nicht was ich davon halten soll, dass uns der Kellner mehrfach das Hammers Zeichen (gekreuzte Unterarme) präsentierte. Weil wir optisch als Freiburger zu erkennen wsren. Deswegen soll dies an dieser Stelle auch nur eine Erwähnung ohne Bewertung finden.

Este tradicional pub se encuentra ubicado en la zona de Knightsbridge, y fue inaugurado en 1835. Cuenta con una amplia carta de bebidas, así como con otra de comidas. Acudí para comer pocos minutos antes de la hora de cerrar y me atendieron de manera muy cordial. Me decidí por un solomillo de ternera de 28 días de maduración con guarnición de patatas fritas, tomates cherry, aros de cebolla y rúcula y salsa a la pimienta y una pinta de cerveza italiana Peroni. La cuenta ascendió a 25,65 libras (unos 30 €). La verdad es que todo estuvo muy bien, la comida muy buena, la atención perfecta y el pub muy bonito y acogedor.

I am do glad that they had a vegetarian burger! I love the London pub life, but sometimes it can be a challenge. The atmosphere is everything that you are looking for from the vintage furniture to the great service. The beer was super cold, which is a plus. Shout out to Johnny who took such good care of my mom and me.

Mysig pub och maten var ok. Men servicen va inget vidare. Servitrisen beskyllde oss för att endast beställt för 4 personer, trots att vi beställt till 6. Hon va allmänt otrevlig hela tiden. Sen glömde de ändå en person i sällskapet som fick vänta på sin mat. Hon puttade ner min makes glasögon på golvet vilket vi upptäckte som tur va. Tråkig upplevelse.

Was there Last weekend. I loved the atmosphere. Great vibe. The staff (Gravy and Marve) was really friendly and helpful.

Walked in and was a very quiet afternoon. Placed my order and got a drink from a very friendly staff member. Watched other staff being efficient and attending to tables and people who were in the bar. Watched someone start making complaints, getting loud and then letting other people know what happened. I was watching and thought the staff had done their job and did nothing wrong. They then went above and beyond what was needed and the customer was still not happy. I for one will be going back while I am here in London.

Waited here yesterday sheltering from the rain ahead of meeting friends for theatre. The two guys working there were friendly however clearly rushed off their feet. I was shocked with the state of the toilets, no excuse for having no soap and from a safety aspect they need to get that lock sorted asap. As I was leaving I observed a women changing a toddlers nappy on the sofa dining area, hardly hygienic! Such a shame as I used to work nearby and this used to be a great pub!

Fantastic, 5 star service! Olly looked after me, ordering Guns n Roses after-show dinner and pulled it off on time impeccably! Everything was perfect and I can’t thank Olly and Christina enough for their help. Big thanks to kitchen staff too, as food was just as ordered and everyone was well pleased and satisfied! Saw some bad reviews about this pub but they were so wrong! We went here our first and last nights in London and loved it! The food was great but we enjoyed the super friendly staff even more. John, the bartender, was super. Try this place. You won’t regret it.

The Gloucester is a nice bar on Sloane Street in Kensington. It’s a nice traditional bar in many ways but as it’s part of a chain the food menu is boring.

Listen, I know that I am just a silly female Yank, but I don't think that a bartender should go out of their way to make you look and feel stupid when all you want to do is give them money and have a nice night with your son. First of all, the bartender (very skinny and short guy with big hair on top) is wholly unfamiliar with their food menu -- he had no idea when I ordered the Pork Belly whether that was the one that came with Bubble & Squeak or not even though that is the signature dish in the menu. But no big deal, I took the risk and ordered it anyway. But then the worst part was I committed the terrible sin of ordering a Gin Martini and he claimed to have no idea what I meant. I said that was fine, do you have dry vermouth? He stared at me and said no. I said "No problem, can you just give me cold Gin?" and he said no because the Gin is not in the refrigerator. I told him that was okay just mix plain Gin with ice and strain it into a glass and he said he did not know what I meant -- by this point SIX patrons had gathered and EVERYONE was just telling this guy what to do, mix it with some ice and strain it into a glass. All he would do is stare at me and say that I am not ordering anything that makes sense. One patron told him "Look mate you mix it with some crushed ice and just pour it into a glass" and he said "We don't have crushed ice." I said "Do you have ANY ice?" and he said yes but he did not know what I wanted. It was so embarrassing, I can't believe how much attention it brought and how foolish I felt for what was not complicated -- I understand he may not know how to make a martini, but to honestly say he did not know how to strain ice is absurd and I don't know why he was so determined to pretend that I was a stupid Yank who did not know how to order in a proper British Pub. It went on and on and on with everyone chiming in and him staring at me and saying he did not understand what I wanted until I was finally able to extract myself. The food was actually excellent but I still felt so embarrassed to have caused such a scene asking for cold Gin strained into a glass that I could not wait to get out of there. Afterwards we walked around the corner to the Capitol Hotel Bar where everyone was lovely and they generously gave me a (perfectly made) free Martini after I told them how ridiculous the bartender made me feel at Gloucester. SIDE NOTE: I managed a bar for 4 years in my early 20's and bartended for 6. There is no excuse for making a patron look and feel like a moron. When you don't know how to make a drink you just look it up or ask them how to make it, you don't stare at them and pretend that you never heard of ICE, especially a foreigner who is just trying to get by and do their best. There are too many nice pubs with kind people in London, don't waste your time here.

Food was reasonable price and we all ate it all. Drinks prices a little expensive Doormen has attitudes. We asked if chicken ok for food and they said yeh. Then just stood there. So this is a great down to earth pub in the heart of Knightsbridge. Unpretentious but incredibly friendly with a very quaffable Rioja. The manager Carl couldn’t do enough for us and I have to say the entire place is very clean and COVID protocols...

This is the only pub on Sloane Street. Very busy on a Friday lunchtime but only one person behind the bar. Not high on pubs I have visited in London.

I visited this pub yesterday night after work.At one point, I was at the counter trying to order some drinks for my colleagues, so I waved my hand. The manager said that this was rude and that I will have to wait, so he served the next person. Another barman came so I asked him 'can I be served now?' The manager thought that my question was rude and I should have more respect for his team so he told everyone not to serve me. I have tried to speak to him and ask him what did I do wrong, he said he already explained to me and that I am not going to have any drinks tonight. He said that I shouldn't speak to them with this attitude. I even said that I was willing to apologise if I did something wrong, but he kept ignoring me and did not want to speak to me at all. I was puzzled.My colleague came, he was served, when was the moment to pay I went there with the card (because it was my turn to offer drinks) and the manager did not allow me to pay, and instead he decided to throw away all the drinks that my colleague ordered. I was literally treated like a drunk. I was treated very bad for no reason. I was never treated like this before from anyone. The manager even said to my colleague that is better I dont have anymore drinks tonight and someone should call an uber for me to get home. Really? I wasn't drunk at all, I drink responsibly and I would never reach the point where I get drunk in public. Never.I honestly did not know that waving my hand at the counter can cause so much troubles.I work nearby, so it was handy for my colleagues and I to go there after work. After yesterday night, I will never go back to this pub again and I will make sure to tell my clients or anyone that asks me, to avoid this place at all costs.

Los 3 hombres de barra que encontré durante esas visitas fueron lentos, hoscos y generalmente desagradables para mí y otros clientes. Maravilloso hallazgo Nuestro objetivo era disfrutar de una comida antes de ir a Hyde Park a dar un paseo. Nuestra familia de cuatro miembros tenía una variedad de artículos del menú (Pescado y papas fritas, hamburguesas de queso y un pastel de carne y carne).
