The Old Swan in Kensington and Chelsea

We came as a group for a Christmas lunch last week. The staff were super friendly and the service was great. However, the Turkey Dinner and most other food my group was served was one of the worst meals we have ever had to pay for. Turkey was cold and not fresh, brussel sprouts were so undercooked we couldn’t cut through it, potatoes looked frozen then microwaved and the stuffing was a burnt square that was unrecognizable. The food was barely edible. The staff were super apologetic. I would go back but only for drinks.

Elise was great bar woman. The best and most immaculate pints were served along with the food. I can’t thank Elise enough for everything she did for our trip to this pub in Kensington. Happy Christmas to all, especially Elise.

Place to be on the weekends. Open till 01:00 🕐, but on weekdays 23:00 🕚. Had some epic times here, chilled 😎 staff and the super 👌 crowd 🤝 of course. Cheers 🍻

We had a lovely experience having early dinner in Old Swan. The pub have beautiful indoor and itself is very clean. Beautiful bar with plenty of gins selection, which are my favourites. Fish and chips is lush. Recommending to visit.

Typical British pub with great selection of beers. Loved the level head session IPA and fling eye lager we've been recommended, these are directly coming from their Brewery and they're tasty. Definitely worth to visit and try yourself, staff is very friendly and efficient.

Had a beautiful time over here, little hidden gem with traditional British food and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommending to visit and try fish and chips or steak and ale pie. Lovely selection of beers and gins as well. 🥰

I recently had an incredible experience at the Old Swan Pub! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and charming decor made me feel right at home. Maybe it’s because I came on an off day but this was sadly pretty mid. Service was very slow considering it was half empty and our fish & chips took SO long to come out only for it to be a bit soggy. ☹️

Stefan is the dude. Decent burger too. My mate paid £25 for food and drink but I laid £16

Theft at Old Swan – Not Recommended On October 4th, 2024, I was robbed at the Old Swan – my bag was stolen. I was seated at a table near the bar and a pillar, a relatively secluded spot where staff frequently came by to check if my friend and I were okay. Their attentiveness during our meal, however, sharply contrasted with their inaction and lack of assistance following the incident. It was a quiet day, not crowded at all. The manager, Luce, was initially hesitant to provide information but mentioned they had CCTV cameras, though they would only show the footage in the presence of the police. While that is somewhat understandable, on October 16th, I was informed that despite what I had been told on the day of the theft—about the footage clearly identifying the culprit—they claimed to the police that no CCTV footage was available. I am extremely disappointed by this lack of transparency and the handling of the situation. I will never return.

Stay away from this place if you don’t want to get robbed! A robbery happened and the establishment did absolutely nothing to help, even denying the sharing of security footage, which prevents you from identifying the criminal.

My friend got her purse stolen while we were there. The staff refused to show us CCTV, said they would only do it with the cops. We got the cops involved and they told them the cctv doesn’t exist. The pub didn’t help us and this is an unsafe place for woman!!

We had been two years ago and now that we are back in London, we returned to enjoy the food and atmosphere of Old Swan. Everything was delicious and spectacular and Eli's attention was very warm!

I recently visited the Old Swan and had an absolutely wonderful time! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I had an amazing time at the Old Swan. I was thoroughly impressed throughout my visit to the pub and was treated with the utmost respect. Major shout-out to Emir, who was friendly and engaging throughout my stay. His energetic and friendly demeanour really added an extra level of hospitality to my visit. The food was really good, and I especially enjoyed the fish and chips plus the onion rings. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lively and friendly atmosphere with good food and great vibes.

I was pickpocketed on my way from the buffet where I ordered the food to the table in the almost empty pub. The manager didn't react. The lunch was not very tasty. Avoid this place.

Typical English pub. Very good food, not at all greasy and very good value for money. The bathroom area lacks a bit of cleanliness and for that reason I don't give 5 stars. The attention was magnificent from a girl and a boy who attended to us. We would return without hesitation.

Cozy and friendly pub. We had mac & cheese and a sandwich, all very delicious and quick to serve. They decorated the Guinness foam, small gestures that make you smile. We enjoyed the food in a good environment.

Terrible impressions, especially from one waitress (dark hair, short, dark skin (not sure but similar to Indian nationality) terrible attitude on her part towards us, the problem was that I did not have a passport (I am 27) my friend had , and we provided all the photo confirmation and document (not the passport other than confirming the identity to another waiter) this lady spoke in a terrible tone, terrible intonation, showed all her negative thoughts in the niche, after that, this is the last visit here, and all the negative recommendations from us, by the way, the boy waiter (bartender) was excellent, there would be no bad feedback if the girl had learned a little courtesy, her tone, intonation, as she spoke to me, is unacceptable

Pub where you can breathe typical London air, very friendly staff and excellent food. Prices not exaggerated for London.

This was a wonderful local place to come to have supper or even just a cold beverage and an appetizer. Prices were good and the beverages were cold. Staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Remember to order at the bar to start!

Great service and atmosphere. Coming from the USA and this being the first pub to visit did not disappoint. Will be back on September with the rest of the family.

Thanks to a random IG post, this has been on my list. Conveniently, it wasn't far from where we concluded a day of touring and shopping about 400-ish. Quiet neighborhood, not busy. It was very warm inside but only 2-tops on the sidewalk, so in we went, settled in just in time to see some Summer Olympics on one side and Harry Potter on the other! We opted to get their 5 small plates for $28 with a salad. The pulled beef croquettes were OK, the chili sauce did nothing for the squid, and the salad was the most peppery arugula/rocket salad I've ever had. But everything else was standout, even lemony squid alone, so much that we order another goujons and fries. Husband doesn't even like fish and he really enjoyed the lightness and flavor. Staff were lovely and checked on us a few times, bringing extra plates and napkins without asking. The bathrooms were generally clean but maybe the heat/humidity just made them seem more summer clammy,

This pub feels really cozy, but energetic at the same time. You can watch sports while you enjoy your beer or your food. The burger and the Mac and Cheese were really good. But what actually made the evening were the Sticky Chicken sticks. The owner himself is also very friendly. It’s defenitly a recommendation!

Used to be such a reliable pub. Now under new management it's dirty, glasses are left on the tables and no staff behind the bar. Lazy. And a rip off for such a mediocre experience. Get the old management back! I can only assume they get away with it because of the location but sadly seems the way of Greene King pubs nowadays. Spoons is better than this! 😂

We didn't try the dishes but the atmosphere during an England/Netherlands semi-final football match. The staff was running around trying to serve everyone! We had a memorable evening there.
