If you want lunch, dinner or even a good brunch, do not miss this restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. It offers excellent value for your money. The place is huge and very spacious. It has two floors and is almost always full. I especially recommend the breakfast and the famous brunch!

MORE AT Minube

Went there for a work Christmas do. When the menu arrived in November for making choices, it showed meals suitable for Coeliacs with GF marked on the items. However, through the time up to the meal, there were number of times when contradicting information was received about GF options. On the day itself, there was no suitable alternative for the canapes for Coeliacs. The starter came with normal bread, then a replacement plate arrived with GF bread. For the main I was kept waiting till after everybody had finished their mains, and then a replacement meal was provided as the choice (even though marked GF on the menu) could not be provided as being safe. Whats more frustrating about the whole experience was that the menu when sent to us for consideration had meals clearly marked as GF. If you cannot cater for Coeliacs, then just do not go there pretending to cater for them. Could not fault the waiting staff, who were very helpful.

Having really enjoyed our previous few meals at Tom's Kitchen my wife and I were really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately we left really underwhelmed with the terrible quality food and numerous mistakes throughout our lunch. We always enjoyed eating here as we could be confident that the simple food was done to a good standard. It appears now that the simple things are done very badly yet still carry a premium price tag. It's a real shame as we live just around the corner and won't be returning. I hope Mr Aitken's pays attention to the reviews posted on here, such a shame!

Similar to the experience of others reflected in the reviews of this establishment,The service has become rubbish.I have been going to Tom's since 2012, had been out of London for just over a year, and attempted to go again this past weekend for what was a fresh and healthy brunch.Never happened. Why?New management or new ownership? Not important. The waitresses wouldn't even give us a second's glance, didn't seat us for about 5 minutes, and, when this was mentioned in conjunction with saying that we needed to leave if we were not seated, said (this is a quote) " that's fine, go. Have a nice day"So, that happened.Doesn't seem like the place I remember, and I won't need to trouble these waitresses with giving them or this place a second chance.People hiring workers like this seem oblivious to the fact that there are dozens upon dozens upon dozens of places to eat breakfast in Chelsea alone. We went to one much friendlier, with food just as fresh and good, They get our money now, and Tom's ill-fated though it may be, gets this and other reviews. To the well-intended seeming GM of this place whose comments frequent this page with apologies, You are losing your place money, hand over fist, by keeping these people on.Are you unaware as to where this place is located, and to what service your clientele are accustomed?Obviously, it isn't just we who are having this experience here, to read these pages.

We didn’t actually eat here. I booked for brunch. When we arrived we were just waived through by someone behind the bar and told to find a table. The customers around us did not look happy. A harassed waitress informed the table next to us that “nothing was good, except the food”. Another customer informed us they had been waiting an hour for food. We decided to make an exit. The service from arrival to departure was non existent. Such a shame we had really been looking forward to a relaxing Sunday brunch.

This is probably my 20th meal at Tom's Kitchen since it opened. I am a huge long time fan of Tom Aitkens, his innovative delivery and passion about both fine food and food for the people. This restaurant is overrated, overpriced and overall a below average experience. We visited for brunch, the prawn and crab eggs Benedict was ok but nothing right write home about. The minute steak was too chewy and hard to cut with the steak knife they provided and when we told our waiter he offered another knife!!! We had a nice enough meal at Tom's Kitchen, however the serving sizes were small and overpriced for both the size and quality/taste. We had some frustrations with the waiter forgetting several of our requests/order items, and coming back to confirm, however what made the experience a negative one was the service charge at the end of the night. Given the average food and service, and the fact that service charges are not compulsory in England, we were somewhat surprised to see a high (approximately 15-17%) service charge included in our final bill. When we enquired about it and asked politely if we could tip 10% instead of the 15-17% we were made to feel quite uncomfortable with questions from our server including "Did I do something wrong?". I wouldn't recommend dining here again, the food wasn't worth the rest of the trouble.

The caesar salad was really nice and it was refreshing to have it presented in a different way to usual. The addition of sourdough and kale crisps was also quite ingenious I must say. The fillet steak, which I got medium-rare, was perfectly cooked and was as tender as you could possibly get. For dessert I had the caramel and honey ice cream (not pictured) and it was also as delicious as the other dishes. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tom's Kitchen.

Tom's kitchen is in a quiet residential street so isnt just happened upon but more of a planned visit. The menu has something for everyone. There is a great ambience, lovely bar area and seating in the restaurant so you can see the chefs at work. The chateaubriand was superb, great flavour, beautifully cooked and plenty of it. Service friendly and professional. Will definitely be back

My partner and I were recommended by our hotel to eat here, and we have to say.. AMAZING. The staff were so tentative and the dishes they recommended were lovely, the flavours were amazing!

Obviously seen Tom Aikens on various tv shows. So after a disappointing first act at the theatre very excited to get a table with no reservation.

When ever we have friends who pop into London, we default to here with their teenage kids and ours. Food menu is wide enough to cover eveyone. Location is perfect. We can talk and eat and teenagers can do the same, plus they can just pop round the corner and hang out in the shops.

Visited here for lunch today, via a deal on bookatable.com. Had been meaning to try this place for ages as its fairly close to where I Live (barnes) and has had good write ups, so saw the lunch time set menu and took the opportunity to go, needless to say, I will be going back, it was very good indeed and the staff were really lovely too.

Beautiful visit to Tom’s Kitchen on Sunday for brunch. Husband had the Tom’s Kitchen breakfast - he was very happy. Delicious and great portion size too. I had the pea, zucchini and mint soup and truly, best soup of my life. Almost ordered another. Beautiful.

So first the good stuff. A light airy restaurant with great staff- friendly and welcoming. A well stocked bar. However brunch was not up to snuff. I ordered a fish pie and was rewarded with decent potato topping, but undercooked fish (ok for salmon, not for the white fish). Also the advertised leeks were also undercooked. A bit more love, butter, wine, seasoning and time required. A lovely venue, but a poor pie.

My husband had a wonderful late dinner last week at the bar. He wanted to return for another meal during our visit in London, but unfortunately, we weren't able to fit it in.

One of the hallmarks of a great restaurant is that feeling on departure that you have enjoyed your meal, feel sated but not stuffed. I had fish and chips where the chips were genuine potato and did not seem deep fried and the fish was more meat and less batter. The caramel and honey ice cream with shards of honeycomb was a dessert winner.

We chose this restaurant as a good meeting point for a family get together as some were travelling from North London and others from South London.

Lovely food and great service. Bit quiet for a Monday in August - perhaps you should do some offers to get punters in and create more atmosphere!

Good meal, and relaxed but buzzy atmosphere on a Tuesday night. Good friendly service from the staff. Enjoyed the trip and will return. Go for solidly good food, no pressure and good spot.

Good ambience and choice of food. One negative is the service provided. Waitress forgot parts of our order and even little things like when we asked for milk for the tea.

Our group of friends enjoyed our dinner. The food from starters to desserts was tasty. The only complaint is that chateaubriand was a little bit too well done but other than that everyone seemed to enjoy the food, as well as the wines and cocktails. The service was attentive and the atmosphere pleasant although I found the restaurant a bit echoey, Overall, a rather nice if a little but expensive restaurant but nothing special, hence four stars and not five.
