Tendido Cero in Kensington and Chelsea

We really enjoyed our recent experience here. The food was delicious, imaginative too. Lovely to have some new flavours/ combinations to try. The service was really good and there's a lovely atmosphere here. If I lived nearby I would be a regular visitor.

We have been coming here for a long time yet it always feels like a treat. Came with friends for a pre holiday meal together . Festive and friendly atmosphere . Super full night yet the food still came quickly, was top quality & delicious as previous times. Staff super welcoming, warm & friendly - all the while working very hard and non stop to run this gem so smoothly .

E’ una garanzia, il modo migliore per assaggiare un po’ di tutto (secondo il concetto noto delle tapas) ma di ottima qualita’ Forse sul prezzo alcuni piatti risultano un po’ cari (garlic octopus for instance) ma tanti altri ben prezzati. We went to the restaurant during lunch hour to enjoy a few tapas. We have been to Spain and were familiar with Tapas. The restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly. We ordered 4) Tapas: 1. Padron Peppers : cooked perfectly and flavorful 2. Patatas Bravas : unique style, lacking salt and seasoning. Patatas lacked potato flavor. 3. Squid: lightly bread & fried, lacking salt and overcooked 4. Octopus: grilled with sauce, overcooked, sauce lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall the Tapas should have been more balanced in seasoning and the seafood should have not been overcooked.

Though I am a frequent visitor, The food was not as good as usual. Seems the food to have been rushed and lacking seasoning. Disappointed.

Four of us had another outstanding meal at Tendido Cero last evening. The food was delicious, beautifully served and the wine excellent. The service was friendly yet professional. A thoroughly enjoyable evening - thank you all!

Service was much too slow. First we had to wait 15 minutes for our table which was booked for 21:30. Then, we were served manchego and had to wait 20 minutes for the rest of the tapas. The octopus arrived much later by which time we were no longer hungry. Tapas is an experience which in this case was spoilt by excessive waiting.

Best tapas in town. Food is amazing and service so friendly and efficient. One of my favorite restaurant in London.

We arrived earlier and the place was just opening up (which we didn’t realise) but the waiters very quickly made sure we were looked after and seated with a drink while the kitchen was ready. The food was great! The octopus was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time and the croquettes were delicious. We had some red wine which complemented the food perfectly. The restaurant it’s perfect for family and friends meet ups. Very lively and colourful. Everyone was really attentive and I’d definitely recommend it.

Very limited menu and prices are very high. Really not good value for money. Will not go again.

The food and service as always outstanding. The noise unbearable. We were unlucky to be opposite a table of six women loudly excitable to be meeting up, which made the rest of the reference to shout. We lleft before desserts and coffee

I have been to this restaurant before and I liked it. I don’t know what happened, but this time food was awful - all dishes tasted the same (prawns, chicken, octopus), low quality ingredients. We struggle to finish our food… which overall was not cheap at all. Extremely disappointing.

Great. Fantastic place for tapas

We love Tendido Cero, it’s never failed us. From the moment you enter to the time you leave everything is as it should be; efficient, friendly service; excellent food, interesting and great value wine list. It always seems busy and for good reason, it’s a great restaurant.

Very friendly staff, great service. Food was very delicious with constantly u[dating menu and delivered very quickly. Great value for money. I go there often and will keep coming back!

Delicious food, strongly recommend the patatas bravas and the prawns. The service was excellent and there was Spanish guitar live music . We really enjoyed, probably the only point is that wines are a bit pricey, but still a great place, will come back.

A very nice experience had by all. Everything was on point, food, service, ambience etc... We were advised by the waitress to order 3 dishes each and this worked out perfectly. The live guitar player was a nice touch and made it feel as though you were in a cosy tapas bar in Spain. Its not cheap but you are in Kensington and the spend per head was on par with anywhere else in the area. Read the booking terms very carefully, they are strict and will cost you if you do not notify them of any cancellations or a reduced number of guests in good time - which is fair enough, its a busy place! Overall, it a highly recommend from our party.

Mega pricy place not worth the shot. Unbelievably overpriced dishes with simple ingredients, the opposite of what Spanish food should be.

We tried a walk in at 8pm on a Wednesday and they found a table for 2 very quickly. Service was fast (except for the croquetas which took a bit longer). The food was simply amazing, nothing to fault, even the plating was beautiful. They have classic tapas and more unusual ones; you can try either without a worry. Small minor note in the churros which weren’t cooked inside and were missing some powder sugar as topping in my opinion

The staff were very attentive and the food was outstanding. This is the best tapas I’ve ever had outside of Spain (and of some I’ve had in Spain too)

We ordered a frozen margaritas, a selection of tapas and blow torched bream and some sort of chilli chicken for mains. The frozen margaritas were sweet and for all I know alcohol-free. The food (including desserts) was poorly presented and bland beyond belief. My daughter couldn’t tell the chilli prawn tapas and chicken main course apart. A great pity as service was friendly, prompt and attentive.

Food was wonderful. We were slightly surprised to be told just as the last tapas was served that the kitchen was closing and that if we wanted a dessert we should order one. To have to browse the sweet menu while eating our main dish was a a bit unusual and disappointing. I appreciate that you close from 2:30 but perhaps you should let customers know when they arrive for a later lunch that the kitchen closes at a certain time. They would then have the option of choosing more quickly and perhaps ordering a dessert at the same time as the main. Food for thought!

As always, service was and is an artful balance of warm, & friendly and also knowledgeable & professional . Restaurant is familiar and family like while being innovative and novel at the same time. Many thanks and see you again!

Either the restaurant or (more probably) treats customers as probably dishonest and also imposes terms which reinforce that unfortumate impression. The food is mostly excellent but the prices are grotesque.

One of my favourite restaurants. Food is excellent and the ambience at any time is convivial and buzzy. Grabbed a table outside and were looked after superbly by Xavier and the team. The wine list is excellent and we choose a lovely 2018 Tempranillo which went well with the Iberico ham and the beef cheeks. The gins are super with the right botanicals and there may have been a frozen margarita involved. Through in the live guitarist and you have a perfect, romantic neighbourhood restaurant.

Amazing Spanish tapas restaurant with great service and delicious food. I am a big fan and would recommend to everyone. My top picks would be octopus and grilled prawns, but everything else is also very tasty. Also great wine menu.

Overpriced wine. No house option. Quite expensive for small portions. Excellent service. Overall experience spoilt by very large bill due to cheapest bottle of wine at £60.

The food and wine were all sensational. I don’t often think about asparagus but I’m still thinking about the asparagus with romesco sauce! Delicious!

Tendido Cero solía ser uno de mis lugares favoritos en Londres y estaba emocionada de volver. Sin embargo, mi última visita (en mayo de 2024) fue una decepción. Si bien el servicio fue bastante bueno, el ambiente agradable como siempre, la comida fue de las más aburridas españolas que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Ninguno de los platos se destacó por lo que es en general una decepción. Uno solo puede esperar que logren levantar su comida de vuelta a lo que solía ser, ya que parece que se están durmiendo en los laureles.

Tendido Cero used to be one of my favourite spots in London and I was excited to return. My last visit (in May 2024) was however a disappointment. While the service was quite good, the atmosphere pleasant as always, the food was some of the most boring Spanish I have had in a long time. None of the dishes stood out it making it all in all a disappointment. One can only hope that they manage to lift their food back to what it used to be, as it seems like they are resting on their laurels.

We were excited to go after good reviews. Ordered 6 things - squid soggy and smelly, croquettes super runny, cheese and grapes a few floppy slices of thin tasteless cheese with 2 walnuts and a few sliced green grapes, tortilla when cut poured out raw egg and had to be sent back, salmon taco some ends of salmon with brownish what appeared to be packet avocado salsa no fresh avocado. Chilli prawns edible. Must say super disappointing and well overpriced.

Great food, lovely service and a real buzz on a Monday night

Went here on a Sunday lunch for my husbands birthday with our 2 kids and was very underwhelmed. Food wasn’t memorable and the best thing was the ham - which all they did was source and slice. Service was fine but unbearable and they didn’t make any accomodations for the kids. All in all disappointed for the price, wouldn’t head back.

The pulpo & the rid were excellent. There was a good balance between the classic tapas vs more adventurous ones. worth paying a visit across the town!

Despite being inside, dinner was rather spoilt by the cigarette smoking blowing inside from a!thoughtless diner on an outside table. Staff just blamed the wind when this was raised with them. Not impressed.

Warm welcome. Great atmosphere and best tapas I think I’ve ever had - anywhere, ever!

Good ambiance, great service, almost too efficient! Food was a bit hit and miss, some really nice dishes, but the tortilla was raw and runny and the cheesecake also looked and tasted undercooked.

Menu has been recently refreshed with old favorites retained but some new items added - the new fish options are particularly good. Staff are fun and friendly and the food is served in a buzzy setting.

Love this place! My favourite waitresses are there - the best! they make the experience of dining there such a pleasure. Super welcoming.

The food is good, but the best thing is the atmosphere and the treatment of the waitresses. Order the lemon cake and coconut ice cream!!!!

Wery Good food. You were only allowed to keep the table for 1.5 hours and the staff were a bit stressed to finish. was told that we had to leave as soon as the time was up. otherwise lovely food and could have happily sat longer to eat and drink.

One of the best restaurants in London, great food, service and value!

Exceptional prices - but exceptional food. We tasted anchovies, green asparagus, iberian ham, manchego, crispy salmon and avocado tacos and it is really hard to say what was the best...

This is our second visit and the food does not disappoint. Everything is extremely well done - particularly recommend the ham croquettes and the ‘elegant’ patatas bravas . The asparagus was also delicious as was the salmon and avocado taco. Cheese and hams were spectacular. Service is attentive and friendly. The only downside is that it all goes by a bit too quickly - everything comes at a pace - we were in and out in an hour. Not necessarily a bad thing but sometimes you want it to feel just that little bit more relaxed. It is a buzzy, noisy restaurant - not the place for a quiet chat.

Tendido Cero is fantastic fine dinning tapas. We’ve been 4 times and on every occasion the food and service has been outstanding.

Best Spanish restaurant in London. Outstanding service and food

The server Ivanka was so amazing! Our wine and water were always topped up and she was super pleasant. The best dish we had was the braised pork, the one we didn’t care for was the Spanish omelette (tortilla de patata). The wine Sombrero de Paja was delicious and only 35£ a bottle. There was a man playing guitar which gave it even more of an authentic feel . Would definitely recommend for a romantic date or just good food and vibes
