We attended a engagement here which was really good so hired it for my partners 30th party, needless to say the service again was perfect, drinks on point and the general vibe was spot on. All communication prior to the event was great and all expectations were met, the whole front area was cleared of tables and chairs which made for a great dance area, id definatly reccomend to anyone hosting a party etc
The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The food came out in good time and very well presented. The taste from my chicken wrap was incredible, and the chicken was soft & moist.
I would absolutely recommend this place and would certainly be coming back again.

Called and made an order for collection. Received food with excellent customer service from the team, and the food was delicious, flavourful, and very fresh. Great value for money, as the portions are generous.
This is a very popular cafe with the construction industry. I would recommend either phoning ahead with your order, or avoid going between 9:30 and 10:30. But don't worry, if you do have to wait, it's worth it. All the food is freshly cooked. If you miss the Little Chef Olympic Breakfast then go for the medium breakfast. Lovely food, great value for money and very friendly staff
Room lovely and spacious with a large shower. Hilary and Roger provided a good breakfast and welcoming atmosphere. Had a good 3 day break with them considering the current restrictions. Will be returning.
The food was good and the service was quick, which didn’t hinder the quality delivered to our table. It was reasonably priced for a breakfast and it included a tea or coffee as well as toast too. It was nice to see black pudding on a menu!
I was booked on a bakery course to make Macarons on 17th March 2024. The class was cancelled a couple of days before by the owner. I have repeatedly phoned and emailed requesting a refund but have not had a money back and no apology. Would never use again.
A great experience in a one of restaurant. This place is amazing, the food is authentic Indian food. I’ve tried the fish dishes and the salmon tikka is cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The paneer starters is very nice too, the samosas are unique and much better than you normally get in an Indian restaurant.
The curries are superb, Bombay potatoes are so nice. The side dishes are not the same portion size as you would expect, but they are ample for two people and we aren’t big eaters.
The cost is reasonable and definitely worth getting the loyalty card.
The management are lovely people, they’ve worked hard to maintain a Great restaurant. I like that they are able to explain the history behind the dish and ingredients used to make the dishes so special.
They also open Christmas Day, we’ve eaten there on Christmas Day and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed and great food again.
One of the best restaurants in Maldon
A really fantastic little stall that long established & sells the freshest seafood ever! The crab sandwiches & the mussels that we bought were absolutely delicious. So nice to see that these local, traditional stalls still exist at seaside towns.
I ate at the Fox and Hounds with my wife, her sister and brother-in-law to celebrate a family birthday. It was the first time I have eaten or visited here, as I am not a local, but my wife's sister and her husband have eaten here a few times before.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced given the extensive menu, all home cooked to order and generous portions. The landlady was really friendly and helpful, quite chatty and welcoming.
We all ate two courses, two of us had Sunday roasts (£15) and I ate one of the daily specials, which was lambs liver and bacon with mash and veg - tasty and a good sized serving for £14. For desserts I had the Eton Mess (it was more like a pavlova really as the meringue was in one piece and not broken up) but was large and very yummy. My wife had the upside down pineapple sponge with custard, which was large and filling. Prices for desserts were a little high (most were £8) but they were large and very nice.
Car park was a bit tight for space as the pub was clearly very popular on the day we visited but we managed to squeeze in. Overall it was a really nice meal and an enjoyable experience. Very much recommended.
