The best restaurants in East of England

Meal sizes vary, rack of ribs was a good Size Meal but the pie and small splodge of mash with no veg for £17.95 was a rip off. Service good.

Food is always good here, reasonable quality , place is clean and staff friendly, does what it says on the side of the tin- it’s a cafe. BUT - spoilt by noisy uncontrolled children, why do the parents think it’s ok for them to express themselves in scream, shout, drop food on the floor- I would hate to see the state of their homes. Teach the kids to use knife and forks, not fingers. No wonder kids have no respect. Albeit not Munchies fault, but they have to contend with clearing up the mess. So well done here!

Staff not interested in you at all. Cheap interior and decor. Shame as food was ok. Expensive for what you get especially seen as it’s in Peterborough.

Came across this place on my journey I stopped for a coffee and when I entered I saw a halal sign so I ended up eating there too , food was really nice and fresh portion was really good especially for the price , service was amazing all the customers that’s were there were so nice and relaxed too , very clean and tidy too can not fault this place at all I will definitely stop there again when I come to or through clacton . 10 out of 10 for everything 🥰

Once again despite being advertised as open on Google, the hours being different to google as well (they shut at 3pm) it is not open. Just wanted a healthier lunch then normal. Im off to McDonald's.

Not impressed A very bored guy serving the food. Place is in need of a good deep clean dirty grill sticky floor and uninteresting food served in silence . No atmosphere Only good thing Coffee was nice though. But not cheap and served lukewarm

This place is great for food, service and atmosphere. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal in here.As we are a large crowd, they never get the food orders wrong thanks to chloe, who is always on the ball and the owner always greets us with a smile. The best omelette and chips ever.

Another first class takeaway from the team at Nindy’s. It was a big order for a family party, but it was to the usual high standard, and prepared very efficiently. The cod is always of an excellent quality. Thankyou!

My husband and I called here for a drink Saturday evening on the way to eat out somewhere nearby, with another couple. The football crowd had left, pleasant surroundings with just the right amount of people to make a good atmosphere. What was bizarre was that the staff insisted on serving our drinks in plastic glasses. We questioned this, and said that all other tables we could see had proper glasses, but were told they’d booked tables to eat and were allowed proper glasses. Crazy, as we sat on a table in the middle of other tables, all with proper glasses!

We have been to the Rose quite a few times now and love the atmosphere. It is a very welcoming pub and the staff are great. This visit was a cheese and wine night which was amazing with lots of variety and very appetising. Our previous visit had been afternoon tea which was equally as good. I wish we were nearer as we would visit a lot more often.

We went for a Mother’s Day meal and it did not disappoint. Lovely food. Friendly staff good beer. Lovely finishing touches too. We will be returning. Whether that be for food or the live music and the quiz nights. Thanks all was a lovely visit.x

Went to see a local band playing at this pub. A very small place, but a very lively atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and despite it's reputation is actually a very safe pub and a really good night out. Drinks are a good price and everything was perfect on our visit.
