In my opinion our experience of this place was not good, I’m not sure if it has new management at all but the food certainly wasn’t good, the “five item” breakfast !!! £9.80 I have never seen such very small items !! The coleslaw that came with my food was in what looked like an egg cup, we have been to this cafe on many occasions over the years but I’m afraid this visit will be our last, it could do with a really good clean inside and out the toilet room is dirty, the tables outside were dirty too, I was also very surprised how empty the cafe was at lunch time, this review is our own experience at this cafe,

Lovely member of staff who served us and the food was good and plentiful. There is room for improvement though regarding the cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery. My fork had remnants of food on which was very off putting, it was replaced, the teapot and crockery were in dire need of a good wash, even though they were black I could clearly see the grease and grime and deep tea stains, the saucer had remnants of food on which I wiped off with a napkin. The milk jug had old dried on stains down the front which was more obvious as it was white. I was thinking ‘why do they think this is acceptable?’ Were it not for that I would’ve enjoyed my meal, but the cleanliness issue was on my mind the whole time.

We had spent ages looking all over the pretty town of Diss, for a cafe that would allow my son's little Shiatsu dog to come in with us. Finally ..just as we were giving up .. we were told of Time Out ..and that it welcomed dogs! Yippee!! Not ONLY did it really welcome ALL three off us... Chumbs, myself and, son Harry.. But the owner and staff went out of their way to kindly and carefully cater for each of our individual needs. ...to my challenging vegan and glutin free needs. Chumbly.. his own dishes ..one for water and the other for his order... and Harry too who was pretty hungry of course, by then. I had the BEST, home made, roast dinner I have had for ages .. Chumbs had my meat carefully chopped ..and Harry ..enjoyed a home made, thick beef burger ..with salad and delicate chrispy sweet potatoes chips. ...such a warm and kind welcome ... and lively, intresting prople around us.. ...BRILLIANT!! AND ...amazing VALUE too...!

I've been a couple of times recently due to work commitments in the area and really enjoyed both visits. First time I went I met with a friend and we both had a full english. The food arrived in around 15mins and was piping hot and clearly freshly cooked (bacon not sitting around on warming plates, etc). Second time I had a gourmet burger which was also excellent.Fine dining it isn't, but hot and very tasty it most certainly is! Highly recommended.

Im not sure where to begin singing the praises of this wonderful establishment. I suffer from health problems and I have never been accommodated and treated with more hospitality and dignity. More than can be expected from any business. Without even mentioning the absolutely outstanding quality of food and value for money they are 10/10. They are a vital part of this community and help those who are left outside of society feel human again. This is the place to eat. I cant wait to get another panino. I spent a large amount of time in Italy and every bite i take makes me feel like im back in reggio emilia again.

we called in here today for the first time as it was advertised as dog friendly, and it certainly was. My wife, our dog Bailey and myself were given a warm welcome and made to feel at home. The hot drinks we had were excellent and very reasonable price. We had lunch there and the food was well presented, tasty and good value. The main attraction though was the friendliness of the staff and the good customer service. We shall certainly go back.

Had driven past a number of times and thought it looked like a good place. We had various takes on English breakfast, which in all cases was good quality ingredients, cooked well. Drinks lovely too: daughter had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, and I had a flat white. You can tell a lot about somewhere on the basis of the quality of their flat white. This was excellent.

Made to feel very welcome, served very quickly, and as for our lunchtime meals we couldn’t fault it.My partner had the full English Breakfast ( 1 clean plate), and I had the homemade Lasagna ( 2nd clean plate) it was the very best homemade lasagne I had eaten in years, and the coffee was excellent. The only thing that lets this place down, is the toilet. Smashing place for breakfast lunch or just a good coffee, beats Costa Coffee on Mere Street hands down for a quality drink and far more reasonable price. Food also reasonably price and if you like pouched eggs, you'll impressed with their non runny white, but runny yolks Laura Ann, the waitress is a stylish delight with a sharp sense of humour and plenty of panache.

This small café was very popular, with a constant stream of customers. There is a good reason for this, as the food and service were both very good. Where necessary the food is freshly cooked, but there are no long waits. Considered good value for money - a large jacket potato loaded with prawns and a salad was £5.25.

We wanted to try somewhere different from our usual coffee shops in Diss and found this excellent little coffee shop. It was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly. There was a large choice of meals available on the daily menu as standard, not just specials so we could have had a proper dinner with veg if I we wanted.I ordered a mug of tea and got a pot of piping hot tea with separate milk jug, we both ordered a jacket potato with baked beans and cheese and enjoyed it immensely. The potato was huge and cooked to perfection, didn't taste reheated as most. Jacket potatoes do in cafes. There was no shortage of cheese on top and it was served with a small salad. We did not have to wait very long for this either. All in all a very pleasant experience and we, will definitely return. I have to disagree strongly with the previous comment regarding the staff being false, they were obviously pleased to see us and couldn't have been nicer, nothing was too much trouble.

We visited for lunch on a Thursday during our lunch hour. It was busy but staff greeted us as we entered. All the tables were full so we sat at the sofas which were comfy. We ordered 2 omelettes - very tasty, a ham baguette (this was huge french bread style from a bakery). All came with salad and coleslaw, and I ordered a side of chips which were chip shop style rather than frozen. The ham was home cooked. The staff adapted the order to suit us (such as no mayo in the bagette) According to the menu, sausage is locally sourced and the meals (like pies, lasagne) were home cooked. We had several cakes to take away for later. It was busy but several people waited for a table on the sofas. I loved the friendly but efficient staff and ambience of the place and would return again.

We've eaten at Timeout at least once or twice a month since August 2014, after we have taken our baby/now toddler swimming at the pool up the road. Timeout is a small family run Cafe/Coffee Shop and all of the staff are friendly, attentive, helpful and are fantastic with our son. Dependent on what time of day you go, it can be a little busy and you may need to wait for a table to become available but it is a small Cafe with only a handful of tables and this is to be expected and I don't mind the wait. The food is excellent and is all homemade. The chips are amazing and the breakfast which starts at around £5.50 is wonderful! Went for Sunday Brunch at the end of August. Staff were very nice but it took 45 plus minutes for a cooked breakfast, which was average considering the price (£6.05 for 1 sausage, 1 bacon, beans, black pudding, mushrooms and 2 toast). Coffee was good but cost extra. Possibly they should have a look over the road at Morrison's supermarket, where similar would have been less than half price. Time Out has better ambience than a Supermarket of course, however, they have to get the food out much much quicker.

I really rated finding this cafe. The coffee is very good, i like the atmosphere and our previous meals have been tasty and very good value for money. We had visited in other school holidays so didnt expect any trouble today. Indeed we got off the bus had a coffee walked for an hour came back for lunch and expected to shop for an hour before catching the bus back. Every table had at least a person at it but a kind gentleman beconed us over. Our order was taken staight after a table of four. We should have wondered when we saw that the man waitd quite some time for his food having already finished his coffee. Then the tables before us food arrived. They ate it and left. The man teased us as he left and we queried the wait. Another couple of minutes we were told. And so after 58 mins it arrived. Mine was hot and tasty. My friends not hot enough. As we complained we got a discount and an appology. I blame the manager fornot employing enough staff. The staff waiting table were friendly and concerned. We left feeling we had oarted company with a good friend

Yes we may have at least 8 tea/coffee shops in Diss but they are all totally different not only by what they serve but by their settings and their staff too and Timeout is no exception. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the drinks are delicious. The position is handy if you are only visiting that end of town and although it is right beside the busy 1066 the traffic doesn't stop you having a long chat over a cuppa and cake. The menu extends to various light lunches too, all served to you at your table.

We came on 14/10/24 for a family wake. Mandy and Simon did an amazing job of making the room welcoming and accommodating us with all our wishes. The service and food were of excellent quality with a very fair price and there was plenty for all. It was so nice that even the cakes were iced in the favourite colours of our late family member, not requested but we felt was such a lovely added touch. Thank you Mandy and Simon, we would definitely recommend you.

Found the cafe purely by accident, on the High Street, stopping in Loddon for something to do on a rather autumnal day. You will find it near to the take away and funeral services, but don't let that deter you...So glad we popped in! Wide choice of cakes and some savouries, including vegan and/or gluten free. Huge pot of tea! Pretty tea room, very well equipped single toilet. Family affair, mother and two daughters bake everything on site. Long chat with lovely Lisa, so enthusiastic about their business. We only tasted a quiche and blackberry cake, but goodness, so delicious, and if a hint of other produce from their fine hands, well worth a further visit or cake order. Apparently mum Julie runs craft classes upstairs too.. talented family. We wish you continued success and will hopefully see you next holiday.
