Weāve been to The Watering Place a few times for breakfast and lunch and always been blown away by the quality of experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional and the setting is relaxed and beautiful in all seasons.

Ordered 2 meals with chicken fries and loaded fries, no cheese on the loaded fries and chicken fries werenāt even in the bag. Took Atleast 15 minutes to get the food so plenty of time to get the order right. People who work in Burger King have bad repsā¦ā¦.. rightly so š ends

Called in here whilst in Sudbury. Not been for years. Popped into Greggs and the food, as always, was good, the cleanliness of the place wasn't that great. The girls were standing about chatting and the floor was covered in crumbs and looked decidedly grubby. Not somewhere I usually go to and I don't think this is a place I will be in any hurry to rush back to.

I appreciate that Wetherspoons is a bit of a game of Russian roulette when it comes to food but tonight has most likely permanently ended my āgiving them another go, because itās quick and modestly pricedā. I went with the Gourmet Sirloin in the hope there would be more about it but I was left appalled by the quality, presentation and staff attitude. The peppercorn sauce was worryingly tempt and therefore left untouched. The onion rings managed to be both cold and cardboard. Some of the chips were hot and ok others nearly warm and soggy (please God donāt let those be kitchen returns from someone elseās meal! I hadnāt thought of that until now). The steak was also merely just more than warm and the picture to accompany this review was the bit that was inedible, fat and gristle (approximately 1/5 of the steak). The remainder was of really poor quality and an unusual soft texture. When I flagged this to the young lad doing his best to clear tables his response was āI will let them knowā. I gave āthemā ten minutes in case they wanted to discuss this complaint and without sight of āthemā gave up and left. At Ā£13.89 including a lime and soda I do not expect a steakhouse steak but edible and some sort of courtesy when discussing the defects is surely not too much to ask.

Always loved the pizza's from here, but unfortunately will probably not be using them in a hurry again. The last time we ordered we didn't received either the coleslaw or the drinks we had ordered, was a bit naffed but let it go. Last night I made an online order for the Crazy 9" meal deal which at the time of ordering let me choose which pizza I wanted, took me through to the chicken which clearly stated 6 pieces and a dip, I also received chips and a drink with the deal. Chips are never nice from here so we usually stick in the air fryer for a few mins to actually cook them. On arrival we find we only received 4 pieces of chicken, having had missing items before I decided to ring the restaurant to inform them. I was met with a very abrupt lady who continually talked over me and insisted that I only got 4 pieces of chicken with this deal. Very rude indeed and that's the reason I may not return. She needs a lesson in customer service I think. I then went and checked the confirmation email I had received for my order that clearly stated 6 pieces. I then went on to their website again to find they had quickly changed the meal deal to 4 pieces, amazing how quick some people can work and change things when they want to appear correct. So I decided to actually go through the deal again and low and behold once I got to the chicken pieces it still informed me that 6 strips where included. So when you hurry to change things I suggest you change the whole meal deal and not just the front part of the content. The pizza itself was lovely but the rudeness and being scolded like I was a five year old was not. Very let down. Staff need training in friendliness.

We were just passing so thought weād drop in feeling a little peckish Heard a chap say he had a great steak sandwich when going through the garden centre Letās just say we wonāt be going back Steak sandwich can only be described as steak trimmings over cooked the salad garnish was nice though

Don't go anywhere near this called breakfast cafe. Awful low quality, unhealthy sausages that you will regret latter in the day. Staffed by grumpy old ladies who spend most of their times complaining about Morrisons. Things are so bad, Greggs is now a better options.!!!

Have a big family meal this evening with my family and mother and the chicken was so so salt my family wouldn't eat the food then talked to a manager called hubby š he did nothing at all and seemed very rude didn't even offer to redo the food or even a refund š nothing terrible service. Avoid this pooly run KFC eat somewhere else if possible don't waste your money... hubby is a joke

TL;DR: Do not order over the phone for the love of god, just order through the internet instead. Good luck ordering over the phone here LOL, i cant understand half of what the guy is saying. I phoned them and told them that i wanted to make an order over the phone but the guy kept telling me over and over again that "theres better deals on the app" despite the fact that i kept telling him over and over again that i want to order over the phone... why do you keep telling me that theres better deals on the app when i keep telling you that i want to order over the phone?... and so i then started asking if i am able to order over the phone because it seemed like he was telling me to use the app instead, but instead of answering me; he instead just kept repeating himself again saying that "theres better deals on the app"... its a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer... am i able to order over the phone? just simply say 'yes' or 'no'... jesus christ... he was doing this a lot avoiding answering my questions and instead answering my questions with things that i didnt ask, stop telling me over and over again that theres better deals on the app... i dont care about the bloody app, i just want to make an order over the phone like ive just told you 10 bloody times jesus... and then after repeating himself for the 10th time saying "theres better deals on the app"; he then hung up on me (wow) im guessing because he wanted me to order through app instead of phone. I then immediately called him back and told him again that i wanted to order through phone, and this time instead of repeating himself telling me "theres better deals on the app" again for the 11th time; he instead said "ok". Ok... so i can now finally start telling you what i want then... i told him what pizza i wanted and that i wanted a coke, he then told me that there was 2 different coke options (i have no idea what both of the coke options were that he said though because i cant understand a word that hes saying), so i just told him that i want a normal coke, but he then told me that its going to cost more because ive got a (something) coke (i couldnt understand what coke he said), and so i then told him that "no, i just want a normal coke", but then he still proceeded to charge me extra anyway for the coke which i said i didnt want, at which point i just sighed and just decided to let him charge me extra money for the coke that i dont want because i cant be bothered with the hassle. I then asked him if i could pay by cash or card when the delivery arrives to me but he said that i instead had to pay right now by telling him my debit card information over the phone, so he then started asking me for lots of debit card information (asked for 16 digit card number, asked for 3 digit security number, asked for expiry date, and asked for the adress of my bank) which i found a bit suspicious and so i kept asking him if he was going to ask for my pin number, but instead of answering me; he instead kept telling me that hes asking for my security number, stop bloody telling me that you're asking for my security number and instead actually answer my bloody question... its a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer... are you going to ask for my pin number? just simply say 'yes' or 'no' jesus christ... like i said earlier; he was doing this a lot avoiding answering my simple yes or no questions and instead answering me with things that i didnt ask. In the end; he said that my "home adress doesnt match up with your debit card" (whatever that means) and so after all that; i wasnt able to pay by card and so i therefore wasnt able to order over the phone because they wouldnt let me pay by cash or card when the delivery driver arrives to me. What a waste of time... and so i then ordered over the internet instead and omg... i should've just ordered over the Internet to begin with in the first place instead of trying to order through phone to save me wasting my time because ordering over the internet was so much quicker and easier than ordering over the phone having to deal with that annoying staff member.
