The best restaurants in Babergh East of England

I've sadly had to stop using this pizza service. I loved their food initially but for some reason I always get the runs or throw up after eating their pizza. I think they use too much oil so it could be that. I have asked them not to use too much and to ensure the pizza is cooked where the cheese is slightly browned due to my IBS but no one listens. Been a customer 9 years

This was my first visit to The White Horse and must say just how pleased we were that we went. I will definitely be going again.

Ordered a chicken tikka masala and garlic tikka neither came with sauce. Mango chutney had exploded all in the bag when it arrived, when calling up to complain the guy who answered was very rude definitely won’t be ordering from there again and wouldn’t recommend it

I think the burger and drink for £15 is a great deal, but it needs to be made clearer which drinks are covered in the deal. I had one pint of Moletrap and that was OK .When I changed to my usual drink of Guinness , I was really disappointed. The bar staff did not know how to pour a good pint of Guiness.It came up virtually flat and too cold also.

Always a good meal, waitress Ĺinda very friendly and efficient.

I had been wanting to eat here for a few years, but the limited opening times of the former owners prevented it. Thankfully, the current owners have a different vision and are open every day to serve great food and drink. It is also good to find somewhere you can enjoy fine dining which is dog friendly. The staff are excellent and the food worthy of its fine dining status. The wine list is exceptional with some stunning top wines from around the world. Can I humbly suggest that chef Matt Hurry introduces a tasting menu option. My wife and I look forward to enjoying the great food he and the team in the kitchen deliver very soon. We all had lunch here today,girlfriend,daughter & Grandchildren. Service,food atmosphere was & is always fantastic. The staff are simply the best. Keep up the great work. Steve

terrible service , delivery time stated , 40 mins late i call and apparently is in car , 30mins later , still in car apparently as driver went cornard first , then another 20 mins call up and they say now cooking in the kitchen !!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

Great afternoon visit to the Swan with the best company. The food was delicious, we were told there’s a new chef. The beef rib was really tasty as was the turkey dinner. If you haven’t been for a while you really must try the Swan again. Service was amazing from Gill.

Very welcoming team at this pub , very helpful and super efficient in such a busy environment. Great selection of drinks/beers and so on Sunday roasts great and both the classic and buttermilk Burgers were spot on. Great choice of deserts too

Myself and partner visited The Bull for a pub lunch and was greeted by the lovely barmaid Sarah whose hospitality skills were outstanding. Sarah was so professional and helpful and guided us through the menu and also asked about any allergies we may have. Our experience was outstanding and the food was amazing. My partner enjoyed the salted pepper squid for his starter and the buttermilk chicken burger for his main. I had the king prawns and chorizo for my starter which was delicious and the hunters chicken for my main. The service was outstanding by Sarah and we will definitely be returning again soon. Table for 4 booked for 730pm. Arrived promptly but put our order for dinner but 3 of our orders were already sold out at 730pm! My goodness, what will will eat they did not have any back ups, and our party had to make do. Come on we booked early in the weekend, and they were not full then, why had they not put extra away in case of over orderring? I do not think this restaurant will survive, come on, they were not even even full!!

Interesting and varied menu, good price, friendly helpful staff. We have small appetites, so just had a starter and dessert. Both were excellent, the dessert was light and fluffy. The pub had been recommended by a friend, so we tried it but it was so good we went back again the following day.
