Caffe Nero in Babergh

Avoid at all costs. The place has nosedived during the last year. The service is poor, staff too busy chatting to each other, toilets are disgusting and the Manager is rude. The current staff are really poor compared to 2023. Will not be using again. Plenty of other choice in Sudbury.

The manager offers appalling service, hot chocolate, not hot , he ran out of cream so handed it over without more than a drip of cream, tried to tell me it's how Nero do it.

Reluctantly went to a chain coffee shop against my principles as I like to support independent businesses. However it was late and chains were the only option. Staff very friendly. Cappuccino was not good - bitter in taste which is unacceptable when charging over £3.50. Vegetarian roll was very nice. Sadly I expect good coffee when out so next time I will visit one of Sudbury's many independent coffee shops

Coffee shops are in a massively competitive space: Nero, Starbucks, Toast, Costa and a magnitude of others. So their distinctiveness is a core attribute. Most Cafe Nero's we have visited in London, Newmarket (excellent), Bury St Edmunds x 2, Colchester, etc, have been good. what let's Sudbury town, and down badly, is it's ever changing staff and spiralling down in manners and customer engagement. Some appalling staff compared to the other nearby coffee shops. Disappointing.

Barista’s always make an excellent job of your crafted drink, always friendly. A very pleasant coffee shop to visit

Caffe Nero in Sudbury is by far the best coffee shop in town. I was served quickly and with fantastic customer service. I would defiantly recommend going to Caffe Nero if you are in Sudbury! They will always go the extra mile!

Tried to order a coffee to take out and was ignored and left standing there by the young girl behind the counter who went on to serve someone else. No apology was given and I feel the service is absolutely shocking now compared to what it was. In my opinion they are too busy with online orders to worry about their bread and butter coming through the door

We went on a Sunday afternoon. Few places seemed to be open on a Sunday in Sudbury so it’s definitely a missed opportunity. We went to cafe Nero because we wanted some food, although a sign on the door said nothing hot could be served as the toasting machine was broken. Anyway, we picked some items including lemon drizzle cake, some soup and a sausage roll (as we didn’t fancy a cold toastie) and some coffee. There was a queue on arrival and the cafe was busy with any tables not occupied full of dirty crockery and left over food items. At no point during our visit did we see any tables being cleared. There were also discarded food items on the floor, and debris including used sachets of sugar and spill marks on tables and chairs. The soup never appeared so we joined the queue to collect it. The trainee barista was doing her best, but her colleague left her to go outside, and she dealt well with some difficult customers by herself. All the food items were fresh and tasty and the coffee was excellent but the standards of cleanliness and lack of staff would put me off returning to this branch. I really hope they get the management and staff sorted as it’s such a wasted opportunity.

Woman behind the counter did not listen to what I asked for - twice she got it wrong - very distracted attitude - busy asking for track and trace details not enough attention to what the customer wanted. Sat down with coffee with husband - watched comings and goings - no tables wiped after customers left - very poor hygiene.

We both had a Toastie.one a Chicken and Cheese and one Cheese and Ham. A cup of Coffee and a Hot Chocolate. Found a table with 2 nice comfortable armchairs. Staff were very polite and efficient. Food was as good as a toasted sandwich can be. Lots of cheese.

Nothing is too much trouble for the guys here. It’s always tidy and clean and just has a nice buzz about it.

A great place to go on your own or to meet friends and family. Staff always welcoming and coffee and food excellent.

I asked for thier dairy free choices and was pleasantly suprised with two cake options. A plain Coffee was fine with the explanation that some people react to soya milk which was why it wasnt steamed. This also displayed thier awareness of cross contamination

I love visiting here. It is great but sometimes some of the staff don’t listen to what you ask for! If the manager serves you or if he is in Fantastic Otherwise you might not get what you ask for Please ask the customer before just assuming otherwise people with an allergy could become ill! It’s great that your happy in your job and you like a chat with your colleagues but please remember there are customers there whilst you do! Could be a great place but hit and miss

Visited with my daughter, we had latte, babyccino & paninis and we chilled out. Neros is a lovely welcome place for this, no pressure, great staff and coffee just how you like it... actually they make a point of making sure your coffee is perfect. I'd say its the best coffee shop in Sudbury!

Service great with a smile,always willing get what you need. mum`s with prams that need the kids milk warming no problems.

Often visit with our two small terriers. It is often bustling and busy but service is quick and have never failed to get seats. Those with dogs will relish the fact that Nero allow them in, sitting inside one slowly begins to spot the odd furry tail or lounging pooch nose here and there, for us dog owners this is a blessing and it adds to the social atmosphere. Staff helpful, coffee good and I might be addicted to some of thier toasted sandwiches!

Fresh tasty food, good coffee, friendly helpful staff. Popular and bustling bu t usually easy enough to find a seat. Small outside garden area. Can be noisy when full

Great place to meet up with friends and family, drop in to read the paper over a coffee or to get on with some work. I regularly use it when I am creating social media for local charities and also to write my e-books.

Brilliant coffee lovely helpful staff. A few snotty customers who think they own the cafe and sneer at mums who come in from time to time with there children.

Usar esta rama mucho ya que me gusta el café Café nero y el personal siempre es cortés y amable. Sin embargo, hoy en día el más amable con sus colegas de actitud era horrible. Soy todo para bromas pero cuando tienes su "compañeros" grupo de órdenes equivocadas mientras hablando de más a los clientes que están sirviendo no es educado. El par tenía que servir nuestros pedidos (reask repetidamente a echarles la mezcla anterior y todavía tener una permanente conversación privada) en una medida los clientes detrás (una pareja) regresar sus alimentos a la estantería y la izquierda (el personal no diéramos cuenta).

Caffè Nero excellent coffee, can enjoy this with friends and my dog, allowed to take dog into garden at rear which has just been revamped and looking good, just need to sort the chairs stacked in corner, can also sit inside with dog when it's raining or cold, staff very friendly if you haven't been here before don't take no offence at the manager, he's a harmless character. If you want excellent coffee, relaxed surroundings give it a go

Un buen servicio al cliente y café's cafe nero es agradable. Personal de saludar y despedirse cuando se van, así que probablemente sentir muy bienvenidos. Les digo que porque soy a veces ignorado o dado parece extraño sin motivo; esto sucede a veces cuando digo adiós a ciertos miembros del personal, pero nunca he visto a nadie como así que estoy seguro de todo lo que la gente normal le gusta.

Caffe Nero siempre es uno de nuestros favoritos, tiendas cpffee y Sudbury no me decepcionó. Han sido un par de veces, nunca había visto realmente ocupados, pero solemos ir fuera de horas pico

Metimos en un café para llevar y no podíamos creer lo simpático que era el personal. Servicio muy rápido y eficiente, altamente recomendado

The cakes and sandwiches are the same as any other Caffe Nero as expected but the coffee seems much better! I believe this is due to excellent service and care taken by the staff when making the coffee. Maybe working at a slower pace in a small town makes the experience of making your coffee more appealing especially when the staff speak to you as if you really mattered. Five stars from me Sudbury Caffe Nero!

Called in here for tea and a snack and were not disappointed. Efficient friendly service, good selection of snacks, cakes and biscuits. Town centre position.

food and service good but expensive. Two sandwiches and two coffees almost £15. Coffee was nice but again pricey

Good for what it secials in - coffee (and a selection of cakes and pastries). Very comfortable (there seemed to be a number of locals who use it as a free "office area", they just stay with their laptop)

lovely place to catch up with friends. Coffee is first class and the staff are lovely and helpful. Food is good if you just want a quick snack. The outside eating area (if the weather is ok) is also nice. Would recommend to anyone.

I know it is a chain but the coffee here is very good The staff are extremely friendly and the tables are cleared quickly.

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst in town again, the usual friendly staff were giving a friendly and welcoming service, quick and efficient, clean and tidy! Well done all!!

Caffe Nero is a bit of an oasis in Sudbury ... it has friendly staff and serves you coffee how you would like it. Plenty of room to sit inside, particularly with inclement weather.

Always enjoy a cappuccino with an extra shot here. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Could do with more comfy chairs but no different to others in this respect

a good place to meet for a chat and a coffee, very central if you are shopping,a little dearer than some coffees but always good and a selection of snacks available

I tend to choose this over other in town as I like the atmosphere. I am not a coffee drinker however but go in for the hot chocolate and pastries, which are lovely but over priced.

Not really into places like Caffe Nero but spent a pleasant hour sitting on comfortable seats and drinking extremely good coffee.Might try and make it a regular occurrence.

Coffees average and food very pricey. Toilets are revolting. Male staff need to kerb their over familiar attitude which can be condescending and inapproprate. Friendly but professional please. I am neither your love or your sweetheart..
