The best restaurants in East of England

Nice friendly place. We both enjoyed our food. My second visit so that says it all.

What a gem of a restaurant, lovely greeting on entering , very friendly staff and the food was delicious, we will definitely be returning and highly recommend a visit.

Always welcoming, fabulous food, great service and comfortable surroundings. We also often have take away delivered from here…delicious!

Turned up today for a 30th birthday lunch for my daughter only to find the booking had gone astray. As it was for 9, including a high chair, I was amazed the staff were so calm. They quickly shuffled things around and made us welcome and I can only say thank-you. Food was top notch and the beer (Woodfordes Wherry) was well kept and calmed my nerves

Only popped in for a quick coffee and snack. Well worth it. Friendly staff. Quick service but it was quiet. We had snacks and cakes so would happily go back to try a larger meal.

My experience at this restaurant was not at all good. My mushroom soup was less than a half of a bowl and luke warm. The chocolate pudding was very small. Total Cost - £28. And I strongly object to a 12½% service being added to the bill. Will never return to this restaurant and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Had not been here for a couple of years, delighted to find still the same excellence. Service discreet attentive and respectful, food quite delicious, additional servings offered. Excellent value. Will not wait so long to return.

I organised a corporate dinner for 40 colleagues and it was fabulous! Nico and his team we so helpful in the lead-up to the event so I was fairly confident that any last minute adjustments could be accommodated and they were! We were given an area for our exclusive use and it was decorated beautifully. The food was great and was complimented on by many of our team. I would wholeheartedly recommend Riccardo's Bloody Mary - one of the best I've had! Thank you Nico, Stella, Riccardo and team. I will certainly be recommending your restaurant to others.

We got a takeaway over the weekend with family and used the delivery. The food was hot and very tasty when it arrived. We all enjoyed the Indian and I would recommend this place to visit if in the area

Food here is always on point. The lunch time specials are fantastic with so much choice and I can never resist getting the pancake rolls, always freshly fried whilst you wait and thats not even too long tbh. The staff are always friendly towards everyone. Get down there!!

Great staff in a beautiful little pub. Small inside, but they have a brai shack at the back, which will be wonderful in the summer, I imagine. Didn't eat, but met the chef and he was lovely/charming!! Disco bingo was fun too..... would definitely return!!!!!

This was our first visit to The Crown and it was first class from the moment we arrived. The bar are and dining conservatory were beautifully decorated and the ambiance fantastic. Our food was tasty, excellently presented and just magical to eat. Strongly recommend this pub - it’s a real gem
