The landlord was so friendly and accommodating and even opened the kitchen after closing on Sunday. Totally recommend this pub.

I absolutely love this unique cinema and it's restaurant. It has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, superb selection of drinks, food and treats! So much nicer in every way than the large impersonal cinema chains. The food was delicious, amazing roast beef!

The food is good here, that wasn't the problem. As with some of the other reviews, we found the old man ( I presume he is the owner ) extremely rude. He came to take our order as soon as we sat down. He didn't ask if we needed more time, he didn't say anything, no greeting, or 'What can I get you?' Just stood with his pad, pencil poised. We had barely had a chance to read the menu or look at the chalkboards so my friend asked if they had crab salad. The old man did not answer, just shook his head vigorously, -no apology offered, or 'No, I'm afraid not' A young lady served our meal, she was perfectly pleasant. As soon as we finished eating the old man came to clear away. He took my friend's coffee and she hadn't finished drinking it. As we wanted dessert we asked what 'crumble of the day' was. He just shrugged and said, 'well, we finish at three here'. It was ten to three, so no dessert for us. The opening times on the website say they close at four. If you have reached an age when you simply want to be an old curmudgeon and feel you can no longer offer your customers a warm welcome, it really is time to retire. Before you wreck your business. The strange thing is, there are many good reviews for The Mulberry Tea rooms. Perhaps they weren't served by him. Perhaps he has good days and bad days. We won't be going back to find out.

Service very good, drinks expensive. Adult x 4 meals were good, 2 pizza and both linguine. Price reasonable. Kids menu VFM. Drinks expensive :- £36 Prosecco x 1 bottle £7-8 beer x 2 £4 coke x 4 = £70 (4/10 of the £178 bill) Add £13 service charge which we did not mind paying as most of the staff were engaging, pleasant and helpful.

We went to the Mulberry Tree and had a family meal. The venue was relaxed and pleasant. All the staff were excellent, pleasant, polite, prompt and attentive. The food was very good. Will definitely go back. The only very slight negative was the limited vegetarian choices available.

Took my partners parents out for lunch for their anniversary to this pub. Very friendly staff with a fantastic menu. Cannot begin to describe just how good the food was!, meat was cooked to perfection. Was a shame that I was so full I couldn’t enjoy a dessert! Really hoping the pub is doing an xmas lunch as we’ll defiantly be booking if they do

Colin the chef is still at the top of his game and he should be as he recounts working in French restaurants from the age of 16 - he is now 75. So you can taste and appreciate the flavours of his excellent seafood. Restaurant still has very French rustic feel. Do not expect linen and crystal and fine surroundings. Concentrate on the no nonesense food served at great prices and forget the frippery. Bring a smile to his face by paying in cash as he sources his food from local fishermen who prefer the same
