The best restaurants in East of England

I'm only going to talk about Bolo Rei because I've never eaten at Tasca By far the best Bolo Rei I've eaten to date. What a delicious flavor with that hint of cinnamon. It's not the same as the traditional one but it's full of candied fruit...raisins etc. I'm going there this year to get 1 or 2 more because it's wonderful.

Visited here with two friends whilst on holiday in Wyton. Service, food and atmosphere absolutely fantastic! We all agreed, the best chinese food we've ever had. Well done.

Ordered online. Delivered in less than a hour. Phone me ten minutes before it was delivered to reception at caravan park. Great food, well cooked, good price. Shour out for delivery driver, she was spot on with timing.

Didn't eat there as it was Xmas day. Great selection of beer. Trendy pub with quirky customers. Just my kind of pub. Would love to visit again on a 'normal' day.

Lovely pub, but the microwaved jacket potato and a monthfull of coffee for 15quid put me off somewhat

The carvery was excellent just like old times with plenty of everything and good service. There were different of us and we did not have to wait would recommend.

Never had Nepalese before and wasn’t disappointed. The service and food were both excellent. The Rara King Prawn was gorgeous. Will visit again.

We’ve been here quite a few times over the years and have always been impressed by the selection and quality of the food and the service and of course the host. We went with our daughter and grandchild and were a bit worried what they would choose ie no chicken nuggets nor pasta. However David put them at their ease and they chose Yorkshire puddings and gravy !!! We had the excellent roast beef and I forgot to ask David what cut of beef it was ,cooked to perfection. We will certainly go again to this friendly well run place with a genial host. A perfect Birthday treat! Andrew and Valerie Donovan..

Really like this pub and can’t knock the food/drink etc but have grown very frustrated with the “sports bar” rules. I went yesterday with my nephew 13yo who loves sport but was refused entry for not being >18. I would normally understand this but only last week (Xmas eve) I was in there with family and there were a big group of kids running riot in there so it seems the rules are only honoured depending on who it is. Shame really.

The best fish I have ever eaten in my life, waiters, very good food, very good cleanliness, magnificent togolets, everything is perfect, the fish is very nice, everything is very nice.

Attended a Birthday party for a friend just before Christmas. I don't live locally so I had never visited this restaurant before. I have to say it was superb. I chose off the festive menu had the meatballs starter with garlic bread, absolutely delicious. Maybe the best meatballs I have ever had. I then had the steak for my main course which was huge, well cooked seasoned and perfectly cooked medium rare. Last but by no means least the desert I chose the crumble which was sublime. Everything I ate was piping hot, something many restaurant's fail at. I was very pleasantly surprised how great the food was, superbly cooked and presented and amazing value. Probably the best meal in a restaurant of 2024. The staff was efficient and I chatted to the owner who was warm and friendly. I can't wait to return, and urge you to support this family business providing a quality rarely found elsewhere. Sorry for not posting photos but it was too delicious to think of that!

We visited for our work's Christmas meal, and had a lovely evening. Food was excellent, and enjoyed by all, as was the service, and the table in the restaurant looked really lovely, cosy and inviting.
