We were regular customers at Olivers but we have recently been massively let down but the service of one particular waitress.
1. As the food portions are massive, usually I cannot finish my meal so I always ask for the remaining food to be put in a box to take home. After some time had passed we asked where the box of left over food was. The waitress who collected the plates and initially told to box the plate asked us who took the plate. Once we explained she was the waitress that took my food she told us it had been thrown away and blamed it on how busy she was. The venue has about 6 tables inside with two waitresses, so to say you was too busy to box 1/3 of the uneaten food left on the plate and throw the food away is unacceptable.
2. When ordering desserts the waitress offered options of ice cream or squirty cream on the side. I chose squirty cream, but then she returned quickly and explained it was not squirty cream but a different type of cream so I then asked to change the option to ice cream. She immediately rolled her eyes in front of us. Instead of apologising for offering an option that wasn’t described correctly and rectifying her mistake she chose to roll her eyes.
3. When the final bill arrived was when we had learned that my box of left overs had been thrown away. This was because we questioned its whereabouts during desserts as it had been some time since the request. We weren’t offered a discount, an extra dessert or similar for her negligence. To add salt to the wound, she left 2 mints with the receipt for a party of 3. We asked for an extra mint but was met with questioning on whether we had already taken one.
It is a shame that the service from one individual was appalling as the food quality and portion is always great! We get along with the chefs and are known my face and name. The brunette waitress is always lovely and attentive but the other waitress needs some more training, in particular customer service training.
Sadly this recent experience has left us no choice but to not return as service, food and experiences come hand in hand.

A welcome stop in the heart of the forest to help refuel the tired walker, cyclist or motorbike rider in need of a break
A nice selection of sandwiches / Baguettes / Rolls, plus chocolate, cake, crisps and drinks.
However, make sure you have cash, as cards are not accepted (I guess there's no signal for a card machine in the forest)
Thank you for accommodating our walking group, excellent service and lovely food as always. Everybody really enjoyed themselves and will all be returning.
Come for friends birthday/leaving drinks. Wonderful Friday afternoon. We ordered through the app, service was quick. Shared lots of small plates between us which were great. Ended up staying for karaoke which was really fun!
What a find!

Nice city pub. My first time there. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. I really enjoyed my meal of sausage pasta. It's dog friendly which is always a bonus. I would happily go back again. Reasonable prices too. Lovely bread and salad . Great deserts. Tiramisu and croissant 🥐 with different fillings and ice-cream. I enjoyed the heritage tomatoes and Charlie's leaves. Today we had mexican food, passion fruit cheesecake, sorbet and banana pudding. Delicious. Waitresses very helpful and friendly.

We only had 45 minutes for lunch and the guys here treated us to an amazing three course tasting menu. They created a vegan meze for me and the missus off the cuff that was better than a lot of purely vegan restaurants. Raspberry sorbet for dessert too !
Really enjoyed our meal. Good service and atmosphere.
Small negatives, tables are crammed in a bit.
Very busy with takeaways, so constant steam of people collecting food.
The staff definitely aim to please.
We will be back.
