The best indian I have ever had! Simply delicious!

Not impressed, ordered four starters between 2 of us , head waiter virtually threw the food onto the plates, left some of the chicken, I cook better than that for my dog

We went on a Wednesday night for the banquet night the food was all hot and delicious and great value for money , friendly staff and good service , wasn’t rushed

We went on Saturday 19th October 2024. Good job we booked a table! The place was buzzing and very busy. We had booked for 6pm and arrived early as we were hungry. Drinks and Poppadums plus relishes arrived promptly. LOVE that coconut! I tried the sweet Lassi as I had never tried it before and it was beyond delicious. Wow! I had Mushroom Pilau rice and Prawn and Spinach curry. More Wow! Absolutely delicious and also which had a spice I could not identify and which I had never used in my home Indian cooking. I must ask the Chef and also ask for cooking lessons when he/she has the time. The waiters were cute and attentive. However, the Boss Man was overwhelmed with manning the phone and lacking time in allowing us to pay the bill in a timely manner, he needs a deputy. He greeted us with a warm handshake when we sat down which was nice. Everything was fresh and very flavourful. I couldn't eat it all so took the remaining food home in a container. Kudos to the hardworking chefs as they not only had to cook for a FULL restaurant but had to supply about 11-12 takeaways as well. The pressure was immense. Titash either needs a bigger restaurant or an increase in staff. Love to all the staff and we will be back. Please let me know when you will start cooking lessons!

Never disappointed after a hard day's work. They exhibit a degree of warmth and welcome I've never encountered before. Our meals perfectly prepared and presented. My wife's chicken tikka masala, tweaked exactly to her taste. No exaggeration, congratulations on a job well done to the team at titash resteraunt downham market.

Food on second visit not as good, chicken shaslik contained three pieces of chicken (albeit large), also despite checking before leaving, the chana masala ,which was paid for, was missing, 80 minutes of driving was not worth the effort, there will not be a third visit, if anyone up here can tell a southerner where on earth I can get a decent curry without a 200 mile round trip to Brentwood I would appreciate it

Went out with our friend for his 49th Birthday, had a lovely meal, service was excellent, food delicious and very reasonably priced. Me and hubby had lamb, which was very tender, Bangladeshi birthday boy was vegan and was not disappointed. Staff very friendly, a bit excessive with the hand shaking,but that's my English reserve !. The place was full on a Wednesday night, with mainly locals, so whatever they are doing, they are doing right. I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment! The doggy bag was just as tasty the morning after

An excellent family run restaurant with delicious authentic curries to suit every palate. Fantastic value, relaxed atmosphere and the most flavoursome food I've ever eaten. Subash was a great host and although it was busy he carried out all front of house and waiting duties with ease. The flavours were fragrant and rich, each dish different and everything tasty. We even finished with kulfi ice-cream, which was perfect.

My first time ordering Indian food and it was brilliant! Staff are very friendly and welcoming! The food was absolutely fantastic and piping hot! Would recommend this to anyone!

Fantastic banquet night Wednesday. It was busy so worth booking. The food is amazing. So well cooked and delicious.

We always go for the Wednesday evening banquet at £13.95 per person. The food is always extremely good and hot and has good portions. There is a vast choice of plates to choose from and I recommend a visit definitely.

I had not been to Titash for at least a year. I was glad to find that the food is still excellent and the staff are still friendly and helpful.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Downham

I have visited several times, and the staff are outstanding—extremely friendly, welcoming, and always going above and beyond. The service is top-notch, the food is excellent, offering great value for money, and the cleanliness is impeccable.

Anyone who grew up knowing the fine curries of Birmingham or Bradford is regularly disappointed by anything else. Not so here. The setting is modest, but the quality of the service and of course the food itself are first class. There’s a diverse menu, with some particular joys to be found among Titash’s house specials, such as the shatkhora and hariali. It’s well worth while choosing a special rice (I recommend the coconut rice is) and vegetable dish. Titash is licensed and managed by highly professional and polite staff.

Ordered a takeaway from Titash. Waited in the car as roadside parking is available directly across from it. Was given a time to come back but as I was about to get out the car the guy that served me was coming across the road with my order. Food was piping hot and good full size trays of it. Lots of big chunks of chicken in mine. The other main was the Tilapia curry for a very fussy curry eater and it went down a treat. Big thumbs up and will be ordering again. Oh and the stuffed naan actually had veg in it and not just veg paste.

A charming and sweet welcome by hospitable hosts. Food is lovely and authentic but it can take awhile for it to come out, especially with the mains. I highly recommend their banquet night (Wednesdays 5.30pm-11pm) and Sunday specials (12pm-5pm) as they offer £11.95 and £12.95 per person for a starter, main, side and any naan/rice. They are quite tight on space so I would suggest making a booking beforehand as it can get really busy in the evenings.

We got a take away and only had a 5 minute drive home but the food was cold and in the danger food poisoning zone so we had to reheat the food before we could eat. Ontop of this the food was very tasteless and we did not enjoy the meal at all. Was not worth a single penny we paid

The best Indian meal I've ever had the food is absolutely fantastic it is so authentic. The staff in there are so welcoming and I had the best pathia I've ever had.I am vithis town and I know I will use this place again but hey just try it for yourself.

Came up from Sussex through attrocious weather for a funeral next day. Stayed at The Crown Inn next door and popped in here for evening meal on pub landlady's recommendation. Had that yesteryear feel about it, which I love - no glitz, just good food, service and prices - give it a try if you like a more traditional vibe

My wife and I decided on a second visit breaking the tradition of Sunday roast. Faultless from the start, welcomed with a smile and greeted with a hand shake at the table. Same bhaji and meat samosa, a bit of each shared. Main course of coriander chicken masala for my wife. If you don't like heat but adore flavour this curry is for you. Chicken jalfrezi. Flavoured with lots of fresh green chilli's. It's got some heat, so more for the seasoned curry lover.(me) flavour of the green chilli's really makes a wonderful difference. Pilau rice each and paratha each. You can have some bad eating experience with paratha, but freshly cooked, soft and buttery, these were absolutely perfect. Titash scores perfect marks for the whole experience.

We were visiting from Canada and wanted a good Indian restaurant and we were recommended Titash. It was so delicious we went back a second time before flying home. Reasonable prices, the manager was delightful and the food yummy.

Bought a take away and found something crawling in the chicken madras .

No doubt about the quality of the food but how about some welcoming smiles instead of leaving me feeling like I'm just a burden in your day. Please smile!

My birthday lunch. A warm comfortable restaurant, in both environment and welcoming friendly staff. Shown to our table with a smile, we were allowed plenty of time to settle with a drink and poppadoms, yum... Orders taken, food arrived at the table in super fast time. Presentation perfect, plates hot. My starter, meat samosa. my wife onion bhaji We swapped half so we could try both. Absolutely delicious. My wife's, main course Chicken tikka masala, I'm reliably informed tikka was wonderful. I had agni Chicken, a hot curry with fresh green chilli's and smothered in spirits then set alight. Must confess being designated driver, I passed on the spirit. It was served on an incredible sizzling skillet, piping hot and delicious. All served with pilau rice and perfectly cooked paratha. Attention to detail cleanliness and service are as important as the meal, we found this to be exemplary. My wife and I would recommend this jewel in the Crown to everyone.

This was a spur of the moment decision made whilst travelling home, and a great one at that. We have never been in this Indian restaurant before, as we normally go to the "other" one in Downham Market but, on this occasion, we decided to try Titash instead. It was late in the evening when we got there, so it was quiet but still had a great atmosphere. We received a warm and friendly welcome and shown to our table and then given a minute before being approached for drinks. The menu is not overly complicated with 100's of dishes, but all the popular ones are there, so there is still plenty of choice. We started with poppadoms, and then straight into the main course of lamb bhuna, pilau rice, saag aloo and naan. It was so tasty, and the lamb just melted in the mouth. A couple of drinks later, and we were happy to leave a tip and head home. A lovely friendly restaurant with great food which we have now tried thanks to a last minute decision. We will go back for sure.

Definitely our favourite restaurant, from the friendly but discreet staff to the food which is out of this world I would highly recommend Titash. In fact I am now booking another meal there!

After a very nice meal, and than ordering coffee, we were asked if we would move to another table as the restaurant had another party coming in. When coffee arrived we again were asked to move. I explained that we had booked and did not expect to move from one table to another. The evening was ruined by staff who kept asking us to move. I have in the past always had a good dining experience; but unfortunately due to the unprofessional conduct of the staff we shall not be returning.

we went there on new years day 4 of us the meal was the best Indian we have ever had the staff and owner was very good so would say go it is the best alan and sally from welney used to be alan and sally from portsmouth im in top 2 % on trip advisor so if i say its good its right

Ordered take away which was first class . Everything was hot & tasty. Disappointed with the portion prices for samosas & onion bahji's. Very small in size and only 2 in each portion at a cost of £3.50 . Not great value for money . Cannot comment on atmosphere as we just collected but from what we actually saw it looked very cosy .

Ordered naan bread that we didn’t get and korma didn’t taste like a korma, portion sizes getting smaller and smaller. Advised them of their error and they just hung up on us.

I've had a bee in my bonnet about wanted a perfect curry for a month or two, and everywhere we've been it hasn't been quite right. That didn't happen here, everything was perfect. So, the £12.95 buffet is any main (without prawns in it), any starter, a rice or nan, and a side. I had a nan as my side so rice & nan. The Agri Chicken as a main, wow, what a dish? Like a really good jalfrezi served sizzling, with just the right amount of zing (your perception of the perfect amount of zing may vary!) Though it was a deal, the menu was priced lower than most, you'll get decent value on a non-buffet night. Big bottles of Cobra (at the time of writing) were £4.60, I've been charged much more than that elsewhere in the past! So, I've found a new favourite Indian restaurant. It's just a shame the raods between Downham and March are so ropey! If you're travelling the bar in the hotel opposite is really nice too.

We made a call to reserve a table for 6.30 and were disappointed that they were fully booked!! As they opened at 5.30 we decided to take a chance and see if we walked in whether or not they were able to fit us in. We were not disappointed. There was a specials night on each Wednesday! We ordered popadoms, which arrived very quickly. Then ordered starters and main. I went for onion barges followed by lamb jalfrezi. It was delicious!! Sally enjoyed her meal as well. Staff, although busy were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed. The food was as good as usual, but the service was atrocious. Booked a table for 7pm, finally got our food at 9pm. If you ordered via the phone for a takeaway you got served quicker than sitting in the restaurant. Not good enough!!

Popped in on Sunday late afternoon for a fantastic meal. Everything was cooked fresh and was delicious. Customer service was exceptional, friendly and attentive. Price was very reasonable especially for the size and choices on the menu.

From Wimbledon so our first visit to Downham Market. Impeccable restaurant, couldn’t recommend more the food was so fresh and the service 10/10 absolutely loved it. Will definitely visit again.

We have eaten both in the restaurant and had takeaways for several years and it just keeps getting better and better. A really varied menu, including imaginative chefs’ specials and the freshest ingredients. Certainly the best Indian cuisine for miles around!

I visited Titash during the platinum Jubilee weekend and was thoroughly happy with both the service and the quality of food from this establishment. Very few restaurants can truly grasp the flavour and authenticity of dishes - but Titash does this with ease. The chicken Tikka was full of taste, rich and juicy too and the aroma from it was sensational. The king prawns was my personal favourite, the hot spices added onto the flavour rather than taking away from the experience - a perfect balance. And the lamb was excellent in all avenues, soft and succulent. A personal one I'd recommend! The chicken biryani picture speaks for itself, enriched flavour in every bite. We even got a dessert at the end which was a wonderful way to wrap up the evening. I thoroughly recommend a stop by Titash for authentic South Asian food. You will not be disappointed. I for one, will certainly be back!

I ordered a passanda and the sauce was just pureed lentils of which does not go in this dish and tasted like over cooked chicken stew..our other meal was sashlik again tasted awful so both dishes, rice and nan breads went straight in the bin...
