Proper tasty Asian food. Highly recommended. We had chicken tikka byriani and lamb madras. All tasted really good.

We've been using this restaurant for many years now and become very friendly and fond of the owner and the front of house staff. I know people say it all the time, but I honestly can't recommend dine bangla enough. We've never had a bad meal, always had good service and good value for money. My wife can be very indecisive and Ali is brilliant at suggesting new meals for her to try. We will not use any other curry house.

Dine Bangla is my absolute favourite in Baldock. There are many to choose from but Dine Bangla will always have my heart. The food is lovely and the staff are so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. We always have such a lovely experience when we eat there and I've recommended it to lots of friends who have continued to go back.

Been here a few times the last time was my brother in law's birthday they even put music on when they bought his bday cake out which made it extra special. Food was lovely, staff were lovely.

Had a good meal here last night. It was Monday night so was a bit quiet but I’ve seen it busy here before so advise you book. Poppadoms were good, the sauces/dips were fresh and tasty. Had a pint of kingfisher which was well poured and had a good head on it so they must be storing their lager well. I had chicken tikka masala as a main which was one of their specialities. It was pretty good. I like a more mild curry so it was perfect for me. Some nice aromas in the sauce too. The pilau rice was soft and fluffy so complements there too. The naan was well cooked and plenty of flavour. Overall it was a decent meal. The staff were friendly and attentive. The decor looks a little dated or it’s perhaps not my style but don’t let that put you off. Go for the food. Don’t usually eat curry often in Baldock but I would go back.

As my neighbour and I have both agreed it is okay. However neither of us are interested in going back. Given there are multiple other choices (most of which I’ve dined at again) that’s saying something for me. It’s more that nothing particularly stood out in the food, the wine, or the service. The one thing they have going for them - assuming you like it - I believe they use a fair amount of gee.

As a loyal customer for many years, I was shocked and appalled that after paying the bill provided, the amount was then scribbled out, over written with a higher amount and brought back to the table. The main issue was not with the cost but more the rudess and handling of the situation. On top of this the service was very slow and not what I am used to from this establishment. I will be holding back from the making anymore of the vast recommendations I have previously given to people to visit this restaurant and I will not be visiting again in a hurry. It was the first visit for some of the group and they have confirmed they will not be returning. Such a shame from what has been a consistently brilliant experience in the past.

Terrible service added £26 to the bill after we had paid and tried to say it was our fault. Will not be returning.

I love Indian food and Dine Bangla in Baldock did not disappoint. There were so many choices for curries and the vegetable section reminded me meals at this Indian Restaurant near by uni in East London because of the usual choices like saag aloo and the prices being 3 pound ish. They didn't have as many options for rice as they did but the mushroom rice was there. Ordered the Balti Rani, Garlic naan, Bindi Bahjee and mushroom rice. Anyway, I loved my carbs so the mushroom rice was what I needed and there were many slices of mushrooms. The bindi bahjee as a bit different and dry compared to other restaurants I've had it. The Balti Rani had the right amount of heat which complemented the rice well. Last but not last the garlic naan looked the part but it was strangely sweet like a donut. Overall, I was happy with dinner and the ambiance and seating was comfortable.

Update 21/08/2022: Another super meal in the lovely Dine Bangla. Service really good, not as rushed as before Food top drawer, although Chicken Dansak could have been a touch hotter. Prices still very competitive. Definitely recommend it.

Brilliant food and service. The staff are always friendly and able to offer advice and tweak the meals. We have a vegetarian daughter and the waiter was very understanding. We always go here if there is a special occassion and would thoroughly recommend it

Great Restaurant. Food is tasty service excellent and priced extremely well.

Unfortunately, it was such a bad experience that we will never visit here again. Food was not impressive, small portion. Our table was ignored throughout, although there were only 3 tables. Drinks have to be asked twice. Never once was checked if dishes were okay, or the fact that we do need drinks. No pleasantries exchanged and felt completely ignored, did not feel welcomed at all when the servers were busy being extra friendly to the other tables. I am appalled by such different treatment. I'm very disappointed. Never visiting again. PS the pappadam on the table were not complimentary.

Absolutely phenomenal food at very reasonable prices. I deducted two stars because the a staff member tried to deny me entry with my assistance dog, despite the dog wearing a lead slip and my being proactive in announcing it was an assistance dog. He rudely tried to shoo me away with his hand. Luckily multiple colleagues stepped in, quite obviously embarrassed by this discriminatory behavior, apologized, and sat us down right away. The menu had many vegetarian options, the seats were comfortable, and the service was otherwise quick. I probably won't return to the town of Baldock again, but as long as ALL staff members learn the disability laws outlined in the Equality Act and start welcoming disabled customers more inclusively, then I would recommend this restaurant to people coming to Baldock for the first time.

Been there twice and food is excellent. Best curry house in baldock. Tried the rest and doesn’t compare. I’m originally from the midlands and it’s on par with curry’s from there. Service is A1….. polite but not intruding. Only place to eat a curry in baldock!!!

We usually eat in at the Dine Bangla but yesterday we had a take away. It was so delicious that I felt I needed to write a review. I had the king prawn biryani, my husband king prawn damask-both so tasty and very well cooked. We also had matar paneer and mushroom rice, again delicious.

I am a Baldock local and would reccomend eating out at Dine Balngla if you like Indian food (other Indian restaurants may be preferable for take out/ delivery)

The most bland meal. If you like frozen veg with a generic curry seasoning this may suit you,

Food was ok but service was absolutely terrible. Our waiter was annoyed from the moment we turned up, I suspect because we had two younger children with us. He couldn’t have been more inhospitable if he tried. Abrupt, rude and with a face like thunder.. it made for a very unpleasant dining experience. Especially when he was warm and welcoming to the tables around us. The irony is that my wife and I have visited in the past with friends. Based on food we’d visit again. But following the service we experienced tonight this was our final visit. Don’t go if you have kids. And even if you don’t have kids, you’re probably better off not risking it. Save your money for somewhere with a better experience!

We have usually eat at another Indian restaurant in the town but decided to try somewhere else. We weren’t disappointed. The service was spot on but it was the food that will bring us back. We couldn’t fault it.

All the staff are pleasant and very efficient. I have going here for years and always have a nice evening. They cook me a few dishes from time to time that are not on the menu :-) Highly recommended and thank you to all at the Dine Bangla for looking after us.

Really good Indian. Was able to sit us without a booking and was around 9pm. Was met with friendly waiting staff. Service was attentive. Food was great, good portion sizes and even ended up taking some home. Would highly recommend and will be coming back again.

Booked for a table of 6, arrived and had to wait for the tables to be re-arranged, this should have been completed before as they had a booking. Drinks arrived promptly. when we eventually got fed up waiting, we asked if we could order. Waited just over an hour and twenty minutes for the meal to arrive and this was only after one of our party complaining very loudly, worse still in this time they managed to supply lots of collections and deliveries. Unfortunately many items on the list were either forgotten or something completely different was sent instead, eventually this was nearly sorted, but we got to the stage that it was close enough. The whole event upset my daughter who suffers from anxiety so much she barely ate anything. this then completely put me off. Of the food that was delivered, most was ok, however meat was substituted with horrendously large lumps of pepper (see photo). The Onion Bhajees were tasteless and just too floury. At the stage of paying we were informed that they had 2 members of staff off, so why take takeaway orders before servicing the restaurant? Would I try again? NO

Dine Bangla is part of bi-weekly visits, the team are great and very attentive, the price isn't cheap BUT neither is good quality produce. If you want cheap food and cheap prices then Baldock has other alternatives close by. Our whole family love it here. Well done guys see you soon.

Fantastic service, lovely food and great atmosphere!

Went to the Bangla to celebrate a family birthday. We were seated in good order and drinks arrived very quickly while we decided on what we were going to eat. We went for a quite varied selection so we could try other than our normal curry choices at other restaurants. The service was very good and our food arrived steaming and sizzling. We had no complaints at all with any aspect of the meal and will be back in a week or two for another get together.

Have used Dine Bangla for many years it is without doubt the best food and service anywhere locally. I have tried others but they simply do not come anywhere near this consistent quality. Cheers 007

Enjoyed a wonderful garlic chilli chicken tikka with saag bhajee and pilao rice the other day. The sheek kebab that preceded it was also delicious. Full marks.

My mother and I enjoyed two superb curries; Korai chicken tikka and chicken rogan tikka. Beautifully cooked, spicy and really tasty. A welcome change to the traditional post Christmas left-overs! Delivered within 40 mins of placing order using Foodhub app. Highly recommend.

I have visited this restaurant a number of times, however on this occasion our food was great, the service was very slow, ok maybe COVID may has caused less staff levels. However, the bill was very high for a midweek quick meal for two, for Starters, Mains and a few drinks. I questioned this with the manager, zero customer handling skills, said prices had increased because of COVID, and made a remark about MacDonald's! The Restaurant was not very busy, I understand why, with such poor leadership, who has no interested in customers feedback and was arrogant. I will simply not return and will no longer recommend Dine Bangla!

We booked having not tried this restaurant before but we'd read some good reviews. Our booking was for a Thursday evening and we were pleasantly surprised to see it was busy as many restaurants are still so quiet because of covid. Busy yes but not over crowded. We were warmly welcomed and seated and our drinks order taken. The menu has a lot of choice but my friend didn't spot quite what she was looking for so she chatted to the waiter and together they came up with just what she wanted...a slight tweak to something already on the menu. Both our starter and main courses were delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go again.

First time at Dine Bangla, and was impressed! Food was delicious, and plentiful - no going hungry here!! The menu was pretty traditional, but it was done well. Our party of 9 all had something different and all were very complimentary about their dishes - some took leftovers home!! Service was great, not intrusive and the whole team were friendly and polite. Pricing is good, no more expensive than other restaurants. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely come again!

Poor quality take away, disappointing. Paneer in sag paneer was not paneer but a stringy runny cheese possibly mozzarella!

Visiting area and decided to try this place. Nice and clean and staff friendly. Good choice of food and appeared freshly cooked. The mango chicken had lots of sauce and needed more chicken. Felt slightly rushed along once we had eaten. Would try again and...

Just had a dish from Dine Bangla and omg I forgot just how brilliant they are. Amazing mix or mushrooms and onions, mixed in and flavoured by the generous pieces of tikka chicken. Even the Naan bread was bliss... fantastic

Disappointing, chewy lamb, hardly any chicken expensive and an additional random dish that we were charged for. Not the first time we have been disappointed at DB but definitely the last.

Poppadoms dreadful dirty taste, clearly very old oil used. King prawn bhuna is repeatedly not king prawns. Chicken tikka masala only three chunks chicken. Onion beak is a dirty oil taste that leaves unpleasant after taste. Lamb bhuna with only four bits of lamb and...

I have used your restaurant for very many years but I am sorry to say that based on my recent experience with takeaway orders the quality is very much lower. Last night I had Prawn Puree, King Prawn Butterfly (both thick, heavy and stodgy pancakes), Lamb Tikka Rogon (very tough meat). Meat Samosa was tasty but cold... the best part of the meal. Very disappointed. You have been much better.

Very sad to report an average review for what was our favourite “Indian” within reasonable driving distance of Stevenage. We try and get here a couple of times a year since we were introduced the place by local friends some 12 years ago or so...

Used this take away on many occasions now. Can't fault any of them. Great food and service always 1st class. Go to on many evenings when friends have visited and always gone down well. Have no problem recommending.
