Lekthai Thai Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

A lovely restaurant. After waking up and down looking for a nice restaurant we came across Lekthai and the waitress Demi couldnt of been more helpful. Brought out a menu for us and took the time to explain the dishes. Food was really, staff friendly. Would definitely go again.

Food was perfect. Delivery was very quick. Only slight fault is that the order wasn’t marked as being on its way before being delivered

£18 on Weeping Tiger Beef, was barely enough to cover the bottom of the container and was stone cold. Mixed platter starter was overcooked and stone cold. called to be told nothing they can do, issue is with just eat! Totally RIPPED OFF! Abysmal customer service. £30 for pure RUBBISH!!! Steer clear of this diabolical establishment. I have thrown better in the bin.

Food is good. Place is a bit tired but the service was great.

The curry was lovely the weeping tiger was lovely, But the mixed platter did not contain the garlic mushrooms as advertised just battered veg which were very soft and really not nice the chicken was ok but false advertising with the mushrooms stay away from the mixed platter unless you enjoy very soft veg and soft batter. NOT NICE. Wouldn’t do anything about it when I called just kept saying not done mushrooms for a very long time. 2x tried them both bad never again.

We were a group of eight who dined at Lekthai and we had a fabulous experience. Lauren gave us great service and we enjoyed both the food and wine enormously. To a member our group had nothing but positive comments on Lekthai and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Regular customer , the food is amazing , I always have the weeping tiger it's so nice.

Nice fresh flavours Quick service and friendly staff Chicken satay to start was fresh and not greasy. Pad Thai with chicken and prawn for main tastes fresh and hot little sweeter for my liking but nevertheless delicious and the plate was cleared. Reasonably priced also.

I used my 30pound voucher against this order…and nothing was taken off the bill. Not pleased and then found out the restaurant was closed shortly after by infection control standards!!!

The restaurant came recommended by locals and it did not disapoint. I had the tempura chicken and my wife had the chicken satay to start and we followed with sweet and sour pork and a stir fry chilli beef and sticky rice. The portions were plentiful and we had a bottle of merlot, best red we have had in a while. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

I placed an order which stated on just eat that it was delivered an hour before it actually showed up so I called the restaurant after waiting over an hour for my food to cancel the order due to waiting far too long for delivery. The person I spoke to on the phone told me to refuse delivery and when I asked about a refund they said it would come through as credit on my just eat account however this has not been received and this was 2 weeks ago.

Lovely food but wife had to leave for work as it was two hours after ordering. Huge disappointment and no phone call or update until we clicked the app. Great food but can’t recommend due to the service.

Great food, great service the staff were really friendly and made sure we had a really nice meal and everything we needed was attended to. Some of the best food we've had in Great Yarmouth! We'll be back!

Delivery took a while, but I was well informed and driver was very nice. Food was lovely, lots of egg in the rice and the tempura vegetables were lovely. I’ll be keen to try more dishes from here :)

Had tempura chicken and seafood noodles which were both very good. Service was good. Would eat here again.

Had a friends stag meal there great time

9 of us went for a family meal. Others in the group have been before and highly recommend. We booked in advance. They were unfortunately very short staffed and this made for an incredibly long wait. I felt they did all they could but almost 90 min is a long time to wait when children are in the group. The food when it eventually arrived was very nice and would absolutely go back.

Food was fantastic and the service was great. This is my second visit and whilst the 1st time I had a long wait ( which I don’t mind) this time there was a 20 minute space between starters and main, which is perfect. The food was so good!!

Love this cosy friendly place. We have returned a number of times, and always left with a favourable mouth!

Very late, food verry2 cold. worse as it was a very rainy night. Delivery guy (the bos of the restaurant) was verry rude and lied thst he being tried to delivery three times but I was all the time at the door awaiting. also said he tried to ring but again he was lying because no call come through (I ask to ring when arrived it was clearly says on just eat receipt) at first he didn't want to give my food. I said it's verry late, I took the foods shut the door but he was angry and kicked my door.

It's been a long time since I've been here. So I thought it was time to visit and review, as a few friends had said the food was good. First impressions was not so good with the scaffolding in front and awkward to get to the front door. Of which I noticed the letterbox was hanging off. We were keenly greeted by a hostess who gave us a pick of tables, it wasn't busy for a Saturday night. My seat, I immediately noticed the cover was split and some was missing. I went to sit and the chair wobbled badly so I swapped it for another, this also was in bad repair but better than the first. Our friends arrived and we ordered drinks from the menu to which we were told no cocktails no Thai beer on tap as no gas and no strawberry Fanta. So a random 3 out of 4 drinks weren't available. We ordered a few starters to share and I can genuinely say they were good, a sharing platter for 2, tempura chicken and grilled pork skewers, all tasted good and I felt a little releaved as at least the food started well. A little unsure about battered vegetables though. The hostesses were keen to check everything was OK and see if we needed more drinks. But it was a little difficult as their stock was so low it was more like what is available rather than having what you wanted. The mains we ordered were, Thai red chicken curry, pork drunken noodles (hot and spicy), oyster chicken stir fry and khao pad pak (a bit like a biryani). These were all completely different and we tried each other's. My drunken noodles are not for the faint hearted. I enjoyed the flavour of the red Thai curry. The least liked was the stir fry. When we came to pay we were told their card machine wasn't working and had to pay through an app on a phone. I'm really pleased with the food, it made the night go well, lifted the evening. But if you're looking for a fancy romantic place to eat I wouldn't recommend it. It looks tired, lacking stock, if I was to guess it seems like the are running dry ready to close. We even asked them and they said they weren't. The toilets were clean but small and unisex. The friendliness of the staff and tasty food has saved this from a terrible score. I rate this as 3.1* out of 5 stars. This restaurant needs a face-lift and repairs to make it great.

Food was amazing, Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken is so good, takes a while to eat given how spicy it is (which I love) but pairs so well with a good cider. Chips and Gai Satay (Chicken Satay), arguably expensive for what you get, were however lovely too and despite delivery time I found food at a good temperature - inbetween hot and warm. Let down was with the delivery being so long - had ordered at 19:04 and food wasn't delivered until 20:38 (checking email and phone call from delivery driver). Also delivery driver didn't read notes and waited outside my gate rather than front door (not too bothersome but a bit annoying). Overall 5 stars for food but 2 stars for delivery. Imagine going there in person is a much better experience.

The wait time was listed as 60-75 minutes and I had to chase for an update. When it arrived, it was still warm but wasn’t amazing considering the price. Might be different if we sat in the restaurant but won’t be rushing for a take out again.

The food was late, and half of it was cold on arrival. I asked for an update with text response saying another 15 mins, 20 mins still not arrived, called restaurant said on way another 5 mins and hung up on me. They were another 15 mins. Not worth the wait. Asked for some money back no response back.

Lek Thai never disappoints. Food is always so beautiful, full of flavour, fresh & delivered hot. Lush!!!

You can’t have them all ! Last few times delivery has taken ages and the food has been amazing ! This time delivery on time / food not great . Weeping tiger tasted like beef jerky very chewy !the drunken noodles £17 with the king prawns are done in yellow noodles not as nice as the pad Thai noodles , was like eating spaghetti bolognese .I Don’t like leaving bad reviews but spending £60 on a small takeaway that was not great no excuses .

Food excellent, staff friendly, attentive and helpful but please please please sort out your drinks offering in terms of availability. Its an embarrasment having to srlect 3 different drinks from the menu before finding one which is available. This is NOT a one off incident, have been twice in the last 6 weeks, different nights of the week, and encountered the same problem. Really does tarnish what otherwise would be a grest eating out experience. Get your act together!

I have asked specifically to be called when outside with delivery which has never happened. Delivery was late. Food very tasty but portion not adequate to the price.

Ordered at 1710. Estimated delivery time 1815 to 1835. Phoned at 1850. It's left the restaurant on its way. Phoned at 1915. It's still on its way. Phoned at 1933. I'm sorry it's still on its way. Still not received the order. Still not received it at 1945. This meal is going to be stone cold

Great food, best take away we have had for a long time

Dined here a few days ago and really enjoyed it, the papaya salad and the honeycomb cheesecake were fantastic. My only gripe is the mysteriously ubiquitous misspellings on the menu, never seen so many in one place before... Just off the top of my head, the back of the menu had prevailing misspelt as prevaliang, receipt as reciept, alcohol as alocohol, charge as chargce... And this is from just 2 sentences! If the owners/chefs read these reviews, please consider reprinting the menu with words spelt correctly - other than that, the food and atmosphere were lovely.

Had a wonderful meal tonight. The service was amazing the waitress was so happy and welcoming. There was eight of us so I rung ahead and booked a table it’s quite small so if you a big party it’s worth booking. Food was incredible even the kids loved theirs. Lots to choose from and not to over priced. We will definitely be going again. Thank to you all for a lovely evening.

Food was delicious as always. Bit disappointing not to have received any complimentary prawn crackers, especially with an £80 order, and if you order the scallops as a starter, be prepared to only get two (for £7.75)!

The restaurant was nice, and the food was definitely authentic. The food was spicy! Overall, it was a good experience, but as for most places here in the UK, they are tight with the ice and water, which is frustrating when you are eating very hot food. They also need to fix the one bathroom. B+

Great food , nice people , reasonable price

Chicken was very dry, and chewy, very little veg, not worth the £16.60 I paid and with delivery nearly £20 . Rice even though it was Jasmine overcooked. Really disappointed.

Wicked service, an item wasn't available so was called by the restaurant and they couldn't do enough for me to make it right, really impressed! They sent 4 beers to make it up to me.Thanks, will definitely order again! Food was gorgeous!

Big sign outside promoting Happy Hour cocktail only after we sat down to find out that not only they don't do Happy Hour, they don't serve cocktail at all! They said it's for summer. We then ordered a pint which was on the menu but was again told that it's only for the summer. Felt like being deceived. Food was overpriced for both quality and quantity. Pork option is to avoid. It was bland and dry. Worst meal we had over the weekend at Great Yarmouth.

Nice restaurant with reasonably priced food.

Never had a bad meal here. A fair few vegan options and the staff are knowledgeable about their dishes. One of my favourite places to eat.

Food was amazing high quality the spice amazing was later than scheduled but received a call from the delivery driver for the restaurant and explaining it was going to be later so was not a problem piping hot when arrived 5 star and 1st time experience will order again

It was good service, fast delivery and friendly. The food wasn't my cup of tea, not that it was made badly but it just had an odd flavour... I'm not Thai though.

Food was cold. Took 2 hours to arrive. Weeping tiger dish was 11 pound and it was awful . Meat tough and chewy and a few carrots underneath. Expect a full refund

Food was lovely when it eventually arrived over 2 hours after ordering the just eat app stated food would be delivered at 6.30 and food arrived at 8.15 after calling resturant twice the app also stated it was delivered but it wasn't very poor service

Absolutely love Lek Thai. Beautiful, quality Thai food which is full of flavour. I have sampled lots on the menu and loved it all. So tasty! :)

Food was excellent service was good! Very bright could do with lights being turned down a little.

Perfect Thai dining experience, we will be back, food delicious and authentic, just missing the Chang beer but cocktail was lush.
