Super friendly and the burgers are amazing. Would probably travel back here just for this place. Chilli loaded chips are also fantastic

Popped in for a quick drink after wandering around the town, very friendly welcome from the barman, chatty and polite. Clean, good decor, toilets were clean, would definitely pop in again.

Just tuned up on the off chance of still serving food on a Sunday late afternoon with family who came to visit and the friendly staff said we could still order food, very nice roast beef and everyone loved the chicken in a bucket and I had a nice peach ice tea also.

Fabulous staff, so welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious and good portions. Decor was great. Would definitely return.

Food not very good. Manager very aggressive and argumentative about my concerns. Rest of staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Would not recommend due to managers appalling behaviour. Which is a shame as it used to be a lovely place to have a meal.

What a blooming lovely place! We were turned away from Iconic (next door), as we had a dog with us, and I’m so glad we were! The food at The Harbour was delicious and HUGE portion sizes - total bargain and the waiter could not have been more accommodating. So dog friendly and welcoming. Really sad we’re just tourists or we’d be making regular trips here :)

We are a family of four and fell upon this place when visiting Lowestoft on a day trip, we were after an early dinner. Immediately on entering we were greeted by a lovely bubbly lady who directed us to a table and she was representative of all the staff and our table waitress who was lovely and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The restaurant/bar was like it had been recently fitted out, modern nice decour and spotlessly clean. They had a separate gluten free menu with plenty of options and I enjoyed a fantastic fish, in gluten free batter, and chips. Off the standard menu, my wife had scampi and my teenage boys had loaded fries and chicken fillet goujons which were hug and they loved.. The meals were well presented and delicious. Our experience could not be faulted and I would highly recommend The Harbour Inn for good quality pub food in a nice environment with great service.

A lovely pub and restaurant on a chilly, windy day in Lowestoft! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and looked after us and our two dogs extremely well. The service was efficient and the food was good quality, with generous portion sizes. No complaints at all - just wished we’d had room for dessert!

Discovered this pub in a day visit to Lowestoft on our whistle stop tour of Suffolk this weekend. Dropped into the pub looking to get warm with a coffee…ended up eating lunch and playing shuffleboard for the first time. Sam was so welcoming looking after our dog as much as us!! Food great too!

Visited the Harbour recently just for a lunch time beer but ended up having a superb fish and chips for a tenner .. was as good as you will get anywhere ., staff very accommodating.. drinks reasonable considering location etc .. A very nice surprise visit. Harbour Bar comes highly recommended!

Nice pub with a good range of drinks but the loaded mac and cheese was a definite highlight. Its mac and cheese but much more interesting!

We had a lovely Roast Lunch and hot drink, and rest/refresh after a "bracing walk" along the Lowestoft sea front, enjoying the fresh air. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and so are the other customers. Lots of other friendly families, couples or dog walkers pop in for the ambience and a friendly drink and food. Many thanks, a lovely way to spend a winter day. I'm looking forward to the January special of a Roast Lunch any day of the week !!!!

Only gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the bar man Zac was spot on, nothing too much trouble. The food is well below par, I would give it 4 out of 10. The beer was warm The food is not expensive but not value for money. Zac deserves a better pub than this.

We popped into The Harbour Inn with a group of eight and the staff were so friendly, accommodating, helpful and pleasant. I can't remember the ladies names (sorry) who took care of us however ALL of the staff were fantastic including the chef! When we walked in, the staff member asked how many and then instantly started moving tables around to make us comfortable and to give us the seating we required - so lovely. We ordered a number of meals with varying meat and vegan options and I have to say that EVERYBODY was thoroughly impressed with the food. The Falafel wrap that I had was DELICIOUS and the chicken wrap that some family members had was beautiful (they said). My brother had the "bangers and mash" and said that his meals was scrumptious. We felt the service was exceptional, food fantastic and atmosphere amazing. We will DEFINITELY be back when we are in the area again. This is a truly hidden gem. Keep up the fantastic work all - you're doing great! 100/10

I live in Lowestoft. Often wander past here and thought would pop in to see what it was like. Over priced drinks for this location. Pretty empty . Asked to pay to use shuffleboard which would have thought should be complimentary. Overall not impressed and will be advising. Others not to bother. Real shame but better places to go locally

No atmosphere. Drinks were expensive. We were playing shuffle board and the bar person came and took away the pucks and said that she had forgotten to take them away and that it was £5 for half an hour. So it then sat there no one playing. A child wanted to have a go but we explained the pricing and the child was disappointed and went and sat down again. First and last time here, even though we are very local. Don't bother.

Good choice of very good food. We chose simple fish and chips with a view of the football on the TV. Best battered fish I've had, ever i think. Fish cooked to perfection. Chips not quite top marks, served with small pot of tartare and mushy peas. Service 5*. We were asked if we'd like any other additions (tomato sauce etc). We felt a little chilly so they turned the air con down a bit. Very attentive and kind. Good parking nearby on Royal Green.

We visited The Harbour whilst on holiday. It was early evening on a weekday, the pub was not very busy, but had a nice atmosphere (great playlist whilst we were there!). Food and service were both really good. It's standard pub food, but done really well. Shame we live so far away!

Went into the Harbour, only one other person in there, I waited to be served I waited 5 minutes no one behind the bar so decided to leave as I was walking out of the door someone came in from the outside side door asking if they could help only assuming a smoke was more important than the customer Will not be going in there again shocking service well no service at all

I'm absolutely disgusted with the service here, I visited with my husband today for a meal my husband went to find a table for us whilst I ordered the drinks of a pint of cider and an Americano with separate hot milk I presumed with the way he was dressed the manager served me, he instructed me to sit down and he would bring it across after 10 minutes he was walking passed and I asked if he had forgotten my coffee he said yes and went back to the bar to instruct the other male to do the coffee and they both started laughing, again no coffee, he was too busy clearing tables then went to speak to another customer near us when he came back again I asked if he had forgotten my coffee his response was we've been busy, (there was only 4 tables taken at this time) he then said here is your coffee, my response to this after what he said was we came here to eat but now we won't be bothering, by this time of waiting which must habe been 20 minutes in total and if he calls busy by clearing glasses when his should have priority should have been serving a customer, the manager returned and once again they were both laughing about the situation, I immediately got up and left my coffee returning back home, never never again will I cross their threshold

Went in the afternoon to book a table advised not to book for late in the evening as trade very quiet and kitchen may close early, bar man said only 10 people in all day. There were a few diners when we did eat. The food was very good and so was the service. The bottom of the glasses were not very clean. The floor gents toilet was awash, I hope it was water. The hourly tick sheet to show that the toilet had been cleaned had not been ticked and signed for over 3 days, and that was over a weekend!

I visited with my family and I know Covid is in full force, but I am sure the chefs could do better. Fish was overcooked and bland, my lasagne just a solid gloop of pasta and cheap white sauce. Waiters leave a lot to be desired too. We won't bother again.

Lovely warm welcome from steve behind the bar. ( no protective screen in place)Our waittress Wendy not so welcoming . A smile would'nt have gone a miss. We ordered a prawn cocktail and a soup. Both arrived nicely presented. Tasty starters.Our mains arrived cod and chips and scampi and chips. ( scampi a little over cooked) the cod was huge and lovley and moist. Steve checked to see if everything was ok with a warm friendly smile. Our second waitress Pauline/Paula was full of smiles as she cleared our plates and noticed i had left some scampi. We chose not to have desserts. When my partner went to pay the bill. Pauline took 10% off the bill for the over cooked scampi. Went in this pub for an evening meal, managed to get a table booking easily. Everything was OK. Ordered food and drinks, from a limited menu. Drinks arrived quickly, food soon after, we had Fish and Chips. Perhaps the fish needed an extra 30seconds frying but acceptable.The tables are in the main socially distanced OK. Except, our table was in a slightly raised section and next to a wooden rail, the other side of this was a bar table with bar stools. Two people were allowed to sit at this table which put them half a metre away from us. We moved. Spoke to the waitress who agreed it was not correct. I doubt anything would be done!

Don’t bother going here! We came here on recommendation, but wish I hadn’t bothered. The restaurant was clean and tidy, however the service was abysmal, waiters paid little attention to us and general attitude wasn’t great. We ordered 3 meals, all of which were overcooked. The cod in batter was so overcooked, the fish was dry and hard, with batter so thick and overcooked, when cutting it split in two and flew across the table. The lasagne was dry, with overcooked pasta and little sauce. They piled on a thick layer of cheese to cover this up. When I called a waiter to complain, they simply took the meal away with no apology or even an attempt to rectify the situation. We happened to come on ‘quiz night’ and this was a bigger disappointment then the overcooked meals. The room was silent, with no talking or atmosphere and the ‘quiz master’ shouting down a microphone so loudly that it made an unwelcome atmosphere. He clearly didn’t like people taking. All in all. This was a terrible visit, we left here and ended up eating something or better quality in a fast food restaurant.

Very impressed with how the Harbour inn is going about operating in this difficult time, food was spot on as usual thank you for our first time out eating, will be back. Come on everyone support your local pubs and eateries unless they wont be there when you want them in the future.

booked the Harbour inn in lowestoft last minute for a birthday meal, we were stopping in Oulton Broad & decided to eat out from our hotel, so glad we did, a fantastic meal, a sensible priced bottle of red wine that was very good , polite & cautious staff, could not fault anything, even left a top & i don’t tip very often, Harbour Inn your staff & chef are a credit to your business will deffo recommend to friends, only live in ormesby st michael 12 miles away so will 100% be back

I'm afraid I could only rate the Harbour Inn as average for it's Sunday lunch. It is the staff who earned this, they are very helpful and friendly and made up for the food. Nice selection of veg but the roast potatoes had a quite firm, not crispy, exterior.The beef, again a personal taste, was over cooked. All of which soon became cold. Again to reiterate for the price it was average food, Excellent staff.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch. On arrival we gave our name to two ladies who were chatting. One said over there and pointed. We didn't know where she meant as there was a piller/wall and carried on chatting. So we went off to try and find our table. We obviously looked list because a waitress asked if she could help. Then one of the ladies shouted out the table. Having sat down I ordered a bottle of wine. Our lovely waitress took our orders. Within minutes our soup and prawn cocktail arrived. Beautifully presented and plentiful portions. Both starters enjoyed. The place was busy. Most clients enjoying the Sunday roast. Ours arrived piping hot. Beef and pork. Plenty of slices of both. Yorkies looked nice. Shame the potatoes were not crispy. Our waitress brought a dish of vegetables. Portions again very good. Excellent value for money for Sunday roast. Everything was well cooked and hot.Such a shame the welcome was such a let down. First impressions count. However the food made up for it. SoWe'll done to the kitchen team and our waitress.

We went as friends we all had different meals Fish Pie / Steak / Pasta dishes / Steak Pudding and they were Fab it’s great too have home cooked Food and what a selection there was , I would definitely recommend

We've been to many pubs and restaurants in Lowestoft over the last ten or so years but this is the best so far.It has taken "Pub Grub" to a new level. The menu was excellent and our meals were of a very high standard. The pub itself is well appointed and the staff are efficient, attentive and very friendly.We only get down to Lowestoft a couple of times a year and we'll be certain to use this pub/restaurant again.

We were a party of 22 having a Xmas get together. We had pre ordered, the quality & presentation was amazing.

Pleasent welcome. We ordered a bottle of wine. Around £12 a bottle. We both enjoyed mushrooms in a pleasant sauce on top of a toasted bread.

We had the worst meal ever here last year. The food was cooked to death so much so the steak pudding was so hard and dry it was impossible to eat. It was exchanged without any problems but why did the kitchen send it out in the first place . I chose an omelette as I thought they could not mess this up. I was wrong sadly. We have never been back

A great town pub on the seafront. Made very welcome by the staff. Liver and bacon was excellent as was the local fish and chips. Service was good. We had a senior citizens meal consisting of a mail meal and a pudding. Excellent. Waitress very friendly. Premises including toilets were very clean.
