Awful poor quality fish and chips at an extortionate price of £15. And the menu says with a salad, ha ha one tiny cherry tomato, 2 slices of cucumber and a tiny bit of brown lettuce. What a rip off! Skin on fish, undercooked batter and what looked like burnt Mcdonald Fries. There are plenty of real fish and real chips shops in Great Yarmouth and a lot cheaper

We enjoyed our meal here, very good service. Nice place at the beach on one side of the restaurant and bumper cars for children (and more) on the other side.

Been here many times over the years but just need to tell people to try their chicken strips. We have had them several times as a takeaway meal for the beach (its beach front). Comes with chips, salad and a sweet chilli dip and are amazing and always a large portion.

Sat outside next to the beach, only had tea and toast but it was served by lovely ladies who were helpful, caring and friendly. Going back to Great Yarmouth next week and will definitely call in again for lunch. Really looking forward to it !

Terrible service seems the girls behind the counter didn’t know what they were doing. Very overpriced Table was dirty one had ketchup all over it. No boast, a beach sitting area which sank of wee we ordered panini‘s which was clearly cook with old bits of cheese on top off it the chip and bacon was absolutely sick not a nice place really disappointed and the price we paid

Came here for a day out from where we are currently holidaying, after travelling from cheshire to our campsite in kings lynn thought about a day out at Gt Yarmouth, came across this fantastic cafe on a walk by the beach, Fantastic food had a full cooked breakfast cooked brilliantly, wife and daughter had paninis wife Said it tasted fantastic daughter loved her BBQ chicken melt.food very good and is a good representation of the prices, loved seeing the dogs come and go, only downside was that people did not adhere to the policy of not riding there bikes through the veranda/terrace, otherwise ***** from us 😋 👍

Fantastic location, very clean, comfortable and we had a very tasty lunch. Very wide menu and the bacon sandwich and egg, bacon, sausage sandwiches were very well presented and quite delicious. Thanks for all of your efforts! Wish we’d visited sooner.

Great Yarmouth gets some bad press and there is no doubt that parts of it look tired; I guess the same can be said for many British seaside resorts at the moment. However, this does not apply to Sara's Tearoom. It is a very well presented spot (the flowers in particular are lovely), the staff are friendly and polite, the service is good, the menu is perfect for young families and it is also great value. My family and I (a group of 8 including grandparents) really enjoyed our lunch on 24 July and we will definitely return next time we visit Norfolk. Thank you for taking such pride in what you do and I wish you all the best for the rest of the season

Well presented cafe. Well laid out, with plenty of space between tables. Fully accessible for wheelchair users, including a toilet. Toilets were immaculate. Food was good quality, home cooked, whilst reasonably priced

Slightly disappointed with the food the scones were very dry and the crisps provided with the sandwich were not fresh. It was ok, but I wouldn’t go again.

Poor service, dirty tables,dirty crockery, time waiting for food and time and when we did get it, it came in three parts and only three of us. Very poor, used to be nice

I'm not knocking the food as pre COVID it was great. But pre COVID they had a loyalty scheme which I used plus a great selection of daily specials. But I went into Sara's last week only to find that the menu has shrunk and the girl I spoke to at the till wasn't going to except the loyalty card that I have....I have more than 1. So no long such a good place to eat, hence my poor rating. It's a shame as we always used to eat there when ever I was holidaying in hemsby Norfolk.

We visited this dog friendly cafe on the sea front and it didn’t disappoint at all! One of us ordered a burger and it was delicious and the other member of the party ordered a prawn salad. Both meals were fresh and was cooked and served to us in a timely fashion. We also ordered take away cakes, one was a dairy free chocolate cake slice and a viennese whirl For later on. Again, both were delicious!! This little gem of a tearoom is worth a visit!!

We had a lovely visit to Sara's Tearoom. We are a family of 5 and there were plenty of tables large enough for us all to sit around comfortably. We also have a vegetarian in our family and was pleasantly suprised at the number of Vegetarian and Vegan options. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but we certainly didn't mind the wait and when the food came to us it was piping hot. We ordered hot meals, rather than afternoon tea (that did look amazing) and we left feeling full. There were so many options i struggled to choose between a hot breakfast or loaded fries. I went eith BBQ Pulled Pork Loades Fries, which sounded great and tasted great. I love the location of the tearoom, and i bet im the height of the summer eating outside facing the sea is glorious. We visited during half term so although thankfully no rain, it was that low autumnal sun, so warm when the sun is shining and cold when it isn't. I would totally recommend a visit here, the staff were really helpful and attentive. As soon as one table was empty, someone would be there clearing up and cleaning the table for the next guests. The food was great, and the toilets were cleaned. I loved reading and seeing all the photos of Great Yarmouths history all over the walls too!

Really craving fish and chips whilst by the sea, originally skeptical if a tea room could produce better fish and chips that those by the sea front... I was really stunned! The garden peas were perfection 👌 if that much effort to ensure the peas weren't overcooked, didn't have much husk, you will guarantee the fish and chips will be nothing less than 100% Amazing portion size, reasonable price at £11. Not sure what fish it was but it was tasty! Batter was crisp and light, not dark, greasy or too salty. The pot of tea also came with a sizable extra pot of hot water. The tea was rich and amazing tan colour, i am guessing possibly a Yorkshire tea. Highly recommend it and really impressed Thankyou!!!

Kitchen closed when we visited so just hot drinks but 3.80 for a mocha and 2.80 for a white coffee (Americano it said but trust me, a standard white coffee) staggeringly over priced

Staff are really friendly. The mini meals are good value: £3.50 and a good size - perfect for our children. Was disapointed my cheese sandwhich had that dairylea plastic cheese but had waited 25 minutes so didn't want to send it back.

Absolutely 110% worth every penny and more. Beautiful views friendly staff, Afternoon Tea was superb plenty of treats cakes so lush. A lovely place to visit or treat someone special. Value for money. More than enough even packed what we couldn't eat there for us.

We enjoyed our meal here last year so decided to return, just for a light snack. There is a one way system in operation inside. One counter to place orders then move along to another to collect. It worked well. The scones are nice and my son really enjoyed his chocolate cake! The tables and chairs were cleaned after customers left then signs left on a table saying they’re clean. All good.

Me and my Dad came away to Great Yarmouth for a few days and ate in Sara's every lunchtime! The eat out to help out scheme was avaialble here too which was a bonus. We had things like fish finger sandwiches, burger/chicken and chips and jacket potato. Lovely hot and cold and affordable lunches! (they also do great iced coffees!) We both recommend!

we went during the eat out to help out scheme so our meals were half price but tbh the hot meals weren't worth full price one small microwave jacket potato with very few prawns (cheap tasting seafood sauce) no salad should have been £6 , it really wasn't worth any more than £3. Milkshakes and cakes were the best part and would highly recommend them. We was at Sara's for a hour with waiting and eating and during that time not one single staff member wiped any surface, table's or chairs which i find very disappointing, not only during this time but any other time .

Ideally located next to the beach with both outdoor and indoor seating. Covid measures adhered to and hand sanitiser available. We visited on an Eat Out To Help Out Day so had 4 cream teas for the price of 2 – and very tasty they were too!

Sara’s tearooms is perfectly located on the front. Effective queuing system for COViD and we used the menu outside to work out our varied order for 5. They mentioned a 30min wait, which would have been fine, but they were much quicker than that! All the food was great and very well cooked; presented in take away boxes with disposable cutlery and sauces. We even got a nice freshly sanitised table on their flower boxed decking area. Thoroughly recommend.

Sara’s is on the beach front near to Merrivale tea rooms. To be COVID compliant they have cordoned off the toilet area and made it a separate entrance to the rest of the venue (it works). We ordered takeaway meals for two families of four. All were cooked very well and no complaints from anyone heard and were served in nice large cardboard boxes. There was a steady flow of customers throughout the day and the staff seemed unfazed by the busy lunch period.

Breakfast was lovely and I love sitting looking out into the beach. This is my second visit and I’m just as impressed at the standard of food as the beautiful flowers out front. Well organised with COVID restrictions and 50% off was an added bonus!

The wife and I stopped here for lunch while the kids played. Both had an amazing Jacket potatoe each, really nice food, staff were great and it was very clean and tidy.

Me my husband and mum visited here and the food was horrible, the jacket potato was over cooked and the inside was brown and not fluffy. The sausages were promised to be local sourced but taste like cheap sausages. Chips were dry and over cooked and the beans were like bullets. Never going here again

A fantastic tea room with amazing food! And being dog friendly too is a bonus. The food is freshly cooked and homemade to order. All of the government guidelines were followed by staff at all times! Worth a visit!

Sat looking out to sea although the garden seating is stunning, a profusion of flowers. Fish & chips fine although the cakes look delicious perhaps next time! Well worth a visit go on treat yourself! Staff coped well under pressure.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the breakfast and coffee meal deal. Dogs welcome outside- we were lucky as they had an awning up so we could sit out of the rain and wind.

Very pretty frontage, looks welcoming and special. But walk through the door and you are greeted with a drab and ever so slightly grubby canteen style cafe. It wasn't too busy but staff didn't really know what they were doing. Food ordered we went outside the back. It was a mess, tables were not cleaned, they were rickety as were the chairs. Cigarette butts littered the floor and whole area in need of a facelift. Although late in the season and facing the sea you expect some wear over the summer, but this was just nasty. I live by the sea and know maintenance of property takes a bit more effort, didn't see any here. Food arrived which was pretty poor. Sandwich, cheese scone, sausage roll and sausages for dog. Suffice to say the dog enjoyed his sausages, us humans though didn't. Bland bland bland!!! Just left without saying anything as just so unhappy with visit and only went because of reading reviews.Go to The Beach Hut further north of the front it is far superior in all respects.

We had been to the model village then went to get some refreshments but, although it looked nice, there was a long queue at the model village cafe so we left to look for somewhere else no so busy. Just next door (far side of model village) is Sara's Tearoom which is a lovely cafe overlooking the sea front. Not too expensive, plenty of seating and tables outside. Good service too. Worth walking a little further past the model village to find it.

Such a geat place to pop in with your dog whilst at the beach. Great service and vry fresh food. You can sit outside or inside. Lovely!
