Love Thy Burger in Ipswich

We spent £82 on food for 6 of us tonight and it was absolutely awful, we had missing food, undercooked fries, cold food.I’m not sure if this was an off night but I’d think carefully before ordering food from here to be delivered. Very disappointing.

The quality of the food and service at this establishment was severely lacking. The blandness of the food was particularly disappointing, especially considering the high price point. At nearly £50 for three meals, the value for money was extremely poor. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment and opting for one of the many other options available on the same street. Furthermore, the communication with the front of house staff was challenging due to their tendency to speak softly and unclearly. This resulted in multiple requests for repetition in order to comprehend their instructions. Overall, I advise against spending your money on this establishment and suggest seeking alternative dining options.

If you want a fabulous 5-star experience head to Love Thy Burger, I've mostly ordered through deliveroo to try their product but visited them on Friday and wow the burger and fries I had a long with the mozzarella dippers were lovely, piping hot and freshly made. They also made the most wonderful Reeses shake come down to Love Thy Burger and get a filling meal

Delicious burgers and very welcoming staff

I used to love Love Thy Burger, it was my favourite celebration food. Then I found out, for reasons unknown and against all logic, the fries are not suitable for those with an intolerance or allergy, or vegan individuals, as they are fried with cheese and meat products. Now my visits to my favourite restaurant are no more. I’m sure many would appreciate it if the fries had their own oil to be cooked in. Please.

Ordered via deliveroo. Frozen (leathery texture) patty. Drenched in sauce. Soggy bun. Terrible frozen chips. Not sure what it's like if you eat in but definitely do not order.

Such good burgers, I'm vegetarian and the vegi burgers are amazing, my daughter lives the buttermilk chicken. It's good to see a restaurant in Ipswich which is always a good meal.

This is a great place to eat. I had misgivings at first due to the questionable design choices of the decor, not to mention furniture that isn't particularly comfortable. However the staff were great and the food really was excellent. I had a very good burger cooked to my liking, and the rosemary fries were amazing. I would definitely eat here again

Absolutely the best burger ever. Seriously and I don’t eat burgers… but this was apparently hand made patty and cooked to order to perfection. It’s not a McD so wait ten minutes for good quality.

Awful service. Didn’t want to know. Update! Your reply is not true! Firstly we felt for the Uber driver, the milkshake cups were awful and always likely to spill. The Uber driver was helpful and very polite. You offered to remake the food within 15minutes but we needed to collect. We were on way to collect when we received a phone call saying we had been refunded. We agreed this was the case and we would repay for the food when we got to you but this was REFUSED!! And you weren’t interested in assisting, great customer service haha!!! Amazing when you have 6 hungry people on a kids birthday. We then returned home and ordered FIVE GUYS, turned up well packaged and food was very good. Would highly recommend FIVE GUYS.

As soon as i discovered this burger joint it became my favourite. from the incredible prices to the quality of the meat it was just perfect. i am now a regular and they have now recently started delivering to my location in bucklesham. i will always urge my friends to buy from this joint if they fancy a burger because the quality is top notch and the prices is very affordable. it has honestly become my favourite restaurant/takeaway and the staff have always been lovely. I will highly recommend their garlic sauce and the incredible turk burger as it has made me fall in love with the restaurant. Not to mention the customer service is always quick and always on time. I will always rave about this joint as it is humble, affordable and serves AMAZING FOOD.

Tuesday eve so not busy. Chipboard benches...definitely not good for a slightly older person!! Food was quite nice & staff nice too. Very reasonably priced.

More 4.5 than 4. Love thy Burger is a great place to grab a bite to eat and infinity nicer (imho) than the big burger joints. Lots of choice for meat eaters, veggies (like me) and kids and great value if you go for their meal deals.

Excellent food and friendly service. Food cooked to order and piping hot. Reasonable prices. Children’s menu available.

Food is good but took 20 minutes to bring it out and my little brother was getting upset and screaming as he was supper hungry

I had the mother clucker with extra egg and bacon, and a friend had the plain Jane. Bother burgers were really well made, the rosemary chips were spot on and the onion rings were perfect all together £37 and well priced for the quality including 3 drinks. Staff were friendly, polite and professional. It was a great place for lunch and honestly the only reason for the 4 stars for atmosphere is that the main door didn't fully close ever which left us in a drafty spot on a chilly day, and perhaps a tiny bit more colour about the place would have been a nice thing. Overall though, if you're looking for a tasty burger experience and within distance to LTB, You will not be disappointed. Treat yourself!

This place is amazing. I have came here multiple times and i cannot say that i am disappointed. There is a specific server that makes every visit wonderful. That is Dora. She is not always in however when she is she has always gave me the best service that i could have received in my life. Thank you and keep it going .

Absolutely delicious burgers and fries. Go for the greedy burger. The kids loved it too. Probably the best burgers we have had in a while.

Great for a get together was nice atmosphere..randomly popped in to try food wasnt disappointed. Mother clucker and rosemary fries tasted amazing...Will go try some thing else next time I'm in town

I've heard lovely review about this place so made a order.. There was misunderstanding with my food and Debbie the manager has sorted it all out there and then no issues. Such a smooth customer service from this lady that it made a huge difference I made more online order. I appreciated how sweet and lovely she had been and so understanding. So this really is appreciated. Thank you very much.. Looking forward to make more orders and going out for lunches out again

I've had LTB on delivery many times and been really impressed, however extremely disappointed this evening to be told they were closed, when it wasn't closing time, and they had not put a "kitchen closed" on delivery apps etc. The reasoning was "if we don't get any orders, we're closing the kitchen". I found this particularly silly as you wouldn't expect any other chain to do the same. Food still delicious but the way I was spoken to tonight was extremely disappointing. Not a good experience.

People always complain with the nichest of problems. Me and my partner went and had a great meal. Can't remember her burger, but for me I had the The Incredible Turk (i think it's called (chicken)). Seriously the best chicken burger I have ever had. Seriously good and the sauce is amazing. On the side we had the mac and cheese bites with spicy jam and r.osemary fries. Safe to say we will be back

I am a transplant patient and i have little to no immune system first off. I went in one day for a burger but immediately I had to change my mind. As we came to the counter to order the cook was sitting in back in view of the customers texting. And as I placed an order for my son the guy gets off his phone and immediately goes for the burger buns, no hand washing or gloves and started making the burger. Not sure how many times this guy could have gone to the toilet with his phone in hand so I was not willing to take a chance. I decided to have mozzarella sticks instead just to be safe. Totally unacceptable, will never visit there again.

Super naughty burgers which offer something different to the town. You have to try them to believe how good they are (even if a little expensive) a super fast delivery is offered. You can have an alcoholic beverage if eating in which is cool if you are having a drink on the tiles and want to carry on drinking whilst you eat too. 5🌟 from us thank you LTB

Food was great and the meat is halal, customer service was brilliant, high chairs provided for kids but lack of options on the sauce, seats are wooden so it gets uncomfortable to sit.

Work opposite this place and love the value of the lunchtime meal deal. It’s perfect everytime. Good quality genuine beef and chicken. Chips also high quality.

My boyfriend and I headed here for a birthday burger lunch. We loved it so much, that we bought a burger each to eat for dinner at home too! Staff were friendly, food very tasty and all reasonably priced. We will definitely be going again! Highly recommended.

Hands down the best burgers I’ve had. Chefs do a brilliant job 👍🏼 Only downside, it’s really cold in the building haha.

Last visit I had two MotherCluckers which are chicken breast fillets and not that reformed rubbish. Chilli jam which is very tasty. Two portions of Rosemary fries and a drink for £20. The Cluckers are awesome in fact perfect. I recommend them 👌

Everything was great they just need to fix the door so it shuts properly and the freezing cold wind doesn't get in to the restaurant from outside!

Favourite burger place in Ipswich. Forget all the larger burger chains in Ipswich/Colchester and support LTB. Friendly staff, delicious burgers (always go for the scorchio), rosemary or sweet potato fries are incredible.

I got the Cheesy Lee, Rosemary Fries, Fanta, and Deep Fried Mozzarella. The cashier gave me someone else order, good thing that I checked. The burgers are supposed to be cooked medium, my burger was well down. I wanted medium. The grilled onions destroyed the overall taste and the burger was barely seasoned. The Deep Fried Mozzarella was bland. It taste like eating plastic. I will never return.

My first time buying from LTB. I ordered through Deliveroo. Delivery cannot be faulted and food still came warm. I ordered a beef burger and I was asked to choose how well done I wanted my burger cooked. I chose medium (the least cooked option) and it definitely came well done. I don’t mind a well done burger, but if you’re asking me to choose please follow or don’t ask us to choose 🤣. The food cannot be faulted. Flavoursome and comforting without feeling too greasy. Garlic dip is to die for!! I’d bathe in it if I could. Will definitely reorder after a few weeks at the gym!

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. I had the gluten free bun, vegan cheese, pickle, salad, coleslaw. Mate, it was on point!!!

Great little place to get a quick bite as well as hangout with friends. It's in the town center, which means nearby car parks are all paid.

Lovely food and good service, the only thing that slightly let's the place down is the sticky tables which is due to the choice of material/varnish on them rather than cleanliness. We visit frequently and always enjoy the food.

Stopped into this place on my way home to Glasgow today, i must say that was the best chicken burger I have ever had my friend said the same about the double cheeseburger! Milkshake was banging will be back on my travels through again 😋

I've been coming her for years, more back before covid and most recently in June this year. The mother clucker is really enjoyable and the rosemary fries are sooo good! Price wise in the resturant is spot on. However, delieveroo is very expensive!!

i went here a month ago or something, i don’t like burgers so just had the chips, the ones with herbs on it. they were such a nice colour and fluffy. i now always go for the chips. they are the best. you need the chips with the herbs. and once i got a burger. it was nice. would 100% reccomend.

Didn't know this was a food chain have been to the one in Southend like 5 times including Uber eats deliveries. Sweet potatoe fries are very tasty and you get a decent amount plus the chicken burger was very fresh! Prices are just right and I highly recommend. They also have toilets and a high standard interior.

Came here on Friday 6th May at lunchtime. Friendly staff who was very good in letting me make my order plain. Food was quick to arrive and very tasty. I've been here lots of times and also had it delivered. Everytime it's been fantastic! I also tried a chocolate milkshake this time and that was lovely too.

LOVE Love Thy Burger. People have been telling me to go here for quite some time. Finally managed to get in there today and I wasn’t disappointed. The welcome was great. We knew exactly what we needed to do. Grab a table then go up to the counter to order. No confusion. There was plenty of choice. Two adults and a great menu for children. The food came fast, fresh and hot. No doubt that it had just come off the grill. Swift and polite service to go with that too! All while the place was packed out. We’re used to grabbing food at other burger places in Ipswich but this is now top of the list. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

This was the BEST burger I've had in the UK. traveling from the states, was even more happy to get a gluten free bun. The fries ( chips as you say) were piping hot and crispy. The cheeseburger was everything and more, juicy, well cooked and that bun! bravo

Had the chicken burger, it was lovely. Chicken was obviously grilled and not too bland or dry. And the addition of the slaw and other bits added more flavor. The buns were fluffy and a nice color. Have had the veggie burger before and it was amazing as well.

I usually don't have the appetite for a big burger but after doing a long shift at work I was craving one! I was assisted throughout my time here by a lovely blonde girl called greta I believe. she was very helpful and ensured that I received ten out of ten customer service. she delivered my food with a smile and read out of the allergy information as i'm bit of a hypochondriact and sometimes think i'm allergic to lettuce! as the lettuce from McDonalds makes my tongue itch! she ensured the lettuce was fresh and it certainly was!! I enjoyed my burger and my fries and my fresh lettuce and should be returning when i'm next in the area I look forward to seeing you greta thank you for making sure I didn't leave with an itchy tongue!

Prices are very good. The burgers are some of the best I've ever had. Really love this place.

Great food, but they always stuff the orders up at the Ipswich branch. After the first time they offered a free meal which didn't cover the cost for the meal we ordered, the order was incorrect again for the second time. To top this is all of, we found a hair in one of the burgers! Never have this issue at the colchester branch, so i hope Ipswich improves.

Been to Love Thy Burger a couple of times. My husband has tried the Mother Clucker and the Phat Pig. He likes the burgers. I always order the Big Smoke burger (Beef Patty, Red Onion Marmalade, Cheese, Tomato, Pickle, Lettuce, Smoked Streaky Bacon, Crispy Deep Fried Onion, Chipotle Mayonnaise & Ketchup), the Strawberry Shortcake shake, and Onion Rings. There is also a kids' menu. There is a vegetarian option, but only 1. You can order online and collect your food. Wish they had delivery.

Burgers are great staff are friendly. Menu is a bit confusing and the lunch deal really needs to include a drink! Otherwise your 5.50 turns into about 9 quid! Which isn't such a deal when you are already compromising on the burger size! Regardless great spot for a quick bite

Me and my partner visited here for the first time today and it comes to no surprise when we say it was more than just a pleasant experience! Staff were wonderful, polite and helpful! And the food was great! The burgers can be cooked to your preference which was a great touch and all was excellent value for money! We will absolutely be returning. Thanks so much!

Very underrated place to eat, burgers have never disappointed. Seating isn't the best but it really isn't a big deal. Never busy, but 100% would be if it was located in the Buttermarket or that end of town. Overall never had a bad experience and couldn't complain.

Really lovely food, pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. Great quality burgers at reasonable prices. Not as "Posh" as some other burger places in town but for value for money and taste 100% recommended. I will definitely visit again. Out of our party of 4 3 of us wanted no this and no that in the burgers but that was not a problem for the lovely staff and everything came out correct and hot !

Don't bother with Byron's or Burger Priest...LTB are the best burgers in town!!! Had Byron's before, they are ok, Burger Priest don't offer choice of how well the meat is cooked, well done only! Bad slow service, Love Thy Burger however, fast friendly service, choice of how you want meat cooked, really good fries, and was very impressed at low price compared to Byron's and Priest! Will be eating here again over the other two main burger places in town! Thanks guys!!

Delivery was late, food was cold and to top it up as I bit into it, a long hair came along with it. Completely put me off 🤮

Just had a burger here and they are awesome, the best I've had in a very long time. I usually go to Byron every few weeks however I'll be coming here from now on as the food is so much better!!!

I don't mean "good" in a derogatory way, I mean they are good but not rock your world fabulous, and that's fine with me, if you want a fresh and tasty burger then you are in for a treat, their food is fresh, hot and tasty and they accommodate "picky" eaters like me, they are reliable and the service is polite and friendly, I have been twice now and will definitely go again.

Near around my birthday I ordered a chicken burger with the mozzarella sticks and some fries as a one off treat as a delivery from the deliveroo website the total came up to around £20-25 but when the driver said he was outside I walked up to him and he said it was "all sorted" then just drove off without giving me the food. I was fuming because I didn’t get anything I had paid for. This place is a complete waste of your money don’t buy anything online from here for your own good they’ll just take your money without providing the goods it’s honestly not worth the hassle just order from somewhere else at least you’ll get what you paid for that way. Poor services Waste of time/money Overall generally not worth it

I decided to try this place out after seeing it was listed as one of the best takeouts in Ipswich. They weren't wrong! It was highly recommend we try the rosemary fries and I absolutely loved them! The burgers were a great size and were clearly cooked fresh. I also loved the fact they played old school R&B music which makes a change from monotonous radio music. I will be returning in the future!

Remembered this two years ago as great burger place with superb milkshake and fresh tasty fries, with amazing friendly staffs. Today the chicken burger is dry and not tender. Inside filled with two old lettuces for each burgers we had. Fries were no where near it used to be. Soggy and not crispy at all in a cheap paper bag. Worse quality than even McD. The banoffee milkshake had a bitter aftertaste to it, as if they made it with old bananas. Chocolate milkshake, onion rings and beef burger were ok, but not worth the money paid for. All for 30 quid (#8471). Overwhelmingly disappointed. Maybe change of staffs since covid. The superior quality compare to other burger joints just not there anymore. Not worth it. What a shame.

The buyer and chips we had there was so tasty it was lovely we will go back again.
