The bar staff are incredibly miserable! It's such a shame. This town could do with a decent bar. Location is great. You're just not valued as a customer!!!!

Working in Ipswich this weekend, and decided to pop here for the first time in a year or so. Amazing old school tunes and a great choice of lagers! Love the little bar at the back of the venue, staff member was professional and polite. Will definitely return when next in the town.

Bouncer assaulted me and tried to steal my phone until I snatched it back and ended up stealing my charger

A surprising enjoyable pub with young people enjoying their night. Karaoke was good and bar staff extremely welcoming. It opened late and made an old man welcome.

Disgusting paranoid & racist security who accuses customers for theft when looking for their jacket! I couldn’t get to find my friend’s jacket and was pushed out through the back door so nobody can witness their behavior! They twisted my arm when I tried to take a video of the way they were treating me!

It was a Saturday night and it was empty! It had about 10 people in it. Never got any busier. It got very boring. Left to go to next pub!

It was the first time going on the Sunday night. Had good music and the drinks I bought were 20% off. Staff were great, and the security team was on point. I would go there again. I didn't eat food there, so I have given that a 1 star as 0 star isn't available.

Great service, Beer does not taste tainted like other pubs Food great helpings could not eat it all. Get down to Bar 21 for a great time. Tim the manager is a star. Made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back. Thanks Bar 21 we had a great Anniversary Here.

Went here on a Saturday night out but the atmosphere was dead. We as a group didn't enjoy it here. The music wasn't great and the vibe was a bit strange. Also quite expensive drinks.

Wouldn’t bother wasting your money, much better bars and places in Ipswich, Operate an over 21 policy due to ‘licence conditions’ when they can be arsed, Asked for the calorie information of some products - none existent. Surely these points are a basic 101 of managing a business these days. Makes me wonder what other legality/safety aspects has been skipped. I will say I have previously had a few visits which I enjoyed when I first found this place - however now the staff seem very depressed, most walk around with their heads in their phones and can set you clock by the DJs/playlists.

Assaulted by bouncer on the door! I brought a drink for me and my girlfriend went outside for a fag then tried to go back inside and told I wasn’t allowed, I tried to tell the bouncer I paid for a drinks inside but instead of listening he threw me to the floor and pushed his arm on my throat I then got up when he threw me to the floor outside of the establishment and chocked me again wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there he also tried to push my girlfriend which I got in the middle of I currently have an on going investigation with the police and hopefully charges will be pressed

Ordered food on Uber eats. It said 30 mins, 1hr 30 later still no food and the number Uber eats tell you to call to get an update is a gentleman who says you have to call a different number. Terrible service, never again

We visited the bar for the first time to try Burgers,Wings And Ribs and was not disappointed in any way 👊🏾 Super friendly staff, fantastic food to match and great prices! Overall a great late afternoon spent at the bar🙏

Went tonight for bottomless wings, took a little long but the manager gave us a free beer to apologise, no hesitation. The wings were the best I've had, delicious and good portions with a variety of flavours. Will definitely go again.

Great fun for a night out, mixed ages, overall good music, drinks are not super expensive and the smoking area is covered if raining (A bit small though) Best place to go for a sunday night.

Wow what a great atmosphere, this place is buzzing! Great freshly grilled burgers, and the dance party nights takes you right back to the good old days of HOLLYWOODS, envy and liquid.

Lovely staff good drinks but one drunk very unpleasant man at the bar abusing my friend BUT the bar staff tried to defend him which was strange!!

Had a fantastic night Bank Holiday Sunday, various Dj's playing from 3pm till 01.00am, great atmosphere.. Sunday Soul.. 😘👍 X

It was quite warm, lacking air conditioning. The bar staff were very friendly. Drinks are at fair price.

Great, a bar that's for over 21's. Great atmosphere and music. The downfall is that it hasn't changed, its still so rammed you can barely move, which clearly means it's popular but you can barely move without rubbing up against people. Maybe it was just a particularly busy night. I would try it again though.

Great service and very nice food

I went on a Thursday night before bank holiday weekend, it was my first night out in a very long time so a lot has changed in the town. This bar is by far the best bar in town at the moment though. We went to a few others to have a look around and ended up back here. Such a nice vibe everyone just enjoying themselves, no troubles or dramas and the music is just amazing. Also the staff were all pleasant and we were served quickly everytime we went to the bar. Always wanted a place I can go to with all the oldschool bangers and this is exactly that. Drinks fairly priced. So impressed 👏 makes me want to go out more often now haha.

Had a really amazing time here at NYE 2021 , the overall experience was nice but they didnot serve any food at all after 8pm on 31st , I wish they had told me earlier.

Would not recommend this place, staff are very rude and disrupted my whole night. I could understand if it was one member of staff but it was all of them, from the door to the bar, to the glass collectors, was just overall a terrible experience!!!!!!!!!

Attempted on several occasions to contact to book a table for a staff party- no response. Gave the venue a try on the night anyway and was thoroughly disappointed. Slow service and bad attitude from staff. Overpriced drinks. Rude door staff, empty glasses everywhere. It’s good to have another venue open again in this town but bar 21 is a massive disappointment unfortunately.

Went here last weekend for a night out, as a group of girls we were anxious with the recent spikings. However they thoroughly searched men and women which made us feel a lot more comfortable. Didnt have to wait too long for drinks and the music was brilliant. My only complaint was they started playing slow reggae music at about 12 30 which just felt like lights on music so it killed the vibe a bit and we left.
