Gets busy but that's because it's fairly priced with big portions and an owner / manager ethos. Helpful and good food.

Had a lovely takeaway from here food is always hot and tasty staff very polite would definitely recommend this place for a good meal

Sent this email… no response.. Hi I have just noticed that I was charged £12 for a pint of beer on Friday 7th Feb 2025. I was on my own, and there were only 2 other people in the pub. I guess your cctv can show that. I assume the cost would have been shown on screen before it was presented to the card machine - so I’m not sure why the payment was continued by the barman. I wasn’t showed the terminal prior to tapping my card - or I would have noticed the amount. I await your comments..

When looking for wedding venues we had a number of requirements namely needing somewhere that would be able to adjust the food to our needs. After a few not quite right venues we found Essendon and we couldn't have picked a better venue. Everything about this venue for a wedding is amazing. Joanna (wedding planner extraordinaire) is hands down the best person to help plan your wedding. Nothing was too much to ask and they helped us plan a menu fit for our needs. The day went without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Even when the schedule of the evening changed a bit the team seamlessly carried on and made it look as though everything was happening when it should. Shout out to Fiona and her golf buggy driving skills. We would highly recommend this venue and team.
