Me and a friend came for lunch yesterday and it was lovey. Jacket pots with cheese and beans were 😋 I took a piece of victoria sponge away for a friend and when they said how nice it was I was gutted I didn't get myself a piece! We will be back, I thanku

First time visiting, great building overlooking the sea, lots of tables, sat next to the window. Busy but queue moved quickly, excellent selection of food, drinks and cakes. Tex burger delicious and filling, came with coleslaw, chips and aioli. Nice pot of tea. Bacon baguette with plenty of bacon, chips and salad, good latte. Coffee and walnut tasty as was the carrot cake. Fast friendly efficient service from all staff. Looking forward to returning soon.

The Rocket House Cafe; Have re-read my review and I still feel the same way. Just be aware the café and is still going to be open during the refurbishment of the Henry Blogg Museum. The entrance is going to be via the fire escape at the rear of the museum. If you need the lift, it will only operate from level 3 to level 2 for the café. I come here to Experience my favourite drink. Rising early I arrive each day to Order my drink and choose my place. Carried carefully the coffee arrives, Kind and cheerful Every waiter does their best. Toast and marmalade I sometimes Have as a special treat, On weekends it's very busy Unless the sun is out. Stunning views across the sea mean Everyone seeks a window seat Coffee here is at its best Aromatic, piping hot and Frothy with a picture if you're lucky. Enjoyable alone or with company. The staff here are some of the best I've met. They are totally professional and they create a lovely atmosphere where the customer is made to feel welcome. The range of food/meal choice is extensive and ethically sourced. If that's not enough the cafe overlooks the seafront.

I'm afraid this place is going down hill quickly. I used to enjoy eating here a few years ago, but now there is no reason to visit this cafe. The food is very over priced and you get less than in previous years. Portions are very small and often meals don't contain specified items that the menu reads you get. Staff are rude and look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing so I think I'll write about my visit to a local magazine.

Excellent cafe. Vast portions so don't be afraid to ask for a "doggy bag" as they are used to it. Every member of staff has a natural smile on their faces and nothing is too much trouble. Be prepared to queue to place your order as this place is very busy for the right reason.

Great cappuccino and very tasty carrot cake while watching the ride go out

The food was excellent. The staff were pleasant efficient and service was prompt. We had no phone signal and do not see WiFi. The cafe requires you to select a table and then order. It’s not an uncommon practice but can make it awkward for a lone customer.

Always good for snacks and coffee, wonderful chips.

Such a welcoming place, lovely staff, very dog friendly, amazing food. We were here just before food service was finished, but the food came out quickly and was delicious.

Always enjoy coming here for coffee and tea. This time we also enjoyed their wraps. If you c an get a table by the window, there is a great view. Staff are always lovely 😊 And dogs are allowed 🐾

Brilliant place, great views. We recently had the vegan breakfast twice in a month, I'm not vegan but I thought it was a good meal though I did add bacon and a fried egg. It's very popular so get there early in school holidays. It gets full up.

Good food, well priced, menu a little limited.

Can not fault the whole lunch experience, the baguettes were truly scrumptious, views are terrific, jolly well done to all the staff,have just had lunch again fabulous . Just had fish finger sandwich spot on.

Visited with a large family party, and we weren't disappointed. The portions were huge, and easily kept us going until late evening. All of us cleared our plates (just!) and we all raved about the food

The Rocket House is a firm favourite of ours when we're in Cromer. Whether for breakfast, lunch or snacks it's an excellent cafe. The food is always delicious, the service extremely good and the views just add to the whole experience.

Lovely lunch. I ate too much and couldn't have my ideal cake, sat on the counter, tempting me. Good coffee, great food, wonderful views. We sat on the balcony and it was slightly chilly-- not their fault! My favourite meal of the whole holiday. My OH had Cromer Crab, there were a good range of omnivore, vegetarian and vegan options, plus GF options available. Good allergy awareness from staff. I was in my wheelchair the whole time and didn't struggle. There is lift access to the cafe from the ground floor, although you may have to wait for the lift to arrive as the call button on the GF wasn't working, but enough people coming down regularly for it to not be a problem, and also toilets including an accessible one with radar key access. Indoor café space looked cosy but we wanted the views of the sea and the pier. Would definitely go back if in Cromer again.

A lovely place for a seaside meal, snack or coffee and cake. Our 2nd visit. Lovely friendly staff. My crab salad was the best I've had during my holiday in Cromer (I've tried 3 other places!!) My hubby had a handmade beefburger which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

This cafe has a fantastic location where you can sit on the balcony overlooking the sea. Food was pretty average though. Corridor had stock piled up. It looked a bit unkept and could do with a deep clean.

Took the lift with our 2 dog's and sat outside on the terrace, fabulous views of the pier, beach and up the coast. All the staff are great and service with a smile. We had 2 Latte's and my husband had a generous wedge of lemon drizzle cake which he said was delicious. (I did try a small piece and admit it was perfect with just the right balance of lemon) The restaurant inside looked spotlessly clean too. Took the lift back up again and out the back which was easier for the dog's. Other meals coming out did look extremely nice and we hope to go back soon.

The best Cafe in town I shall say, because of the view, "Oh the View", and the food? "Oh the Food", it is incredible. We feel that whoever creates the menu is caring and love what they do. They put their heart and soul in every dish. I have eaten many of their dishes, and all of the dishes are all winners, delicious, right size, fast service. If you come to Cromer, you must visit it, and by the way, very affordable. Everything is just perfect. Thank you for providing us and the Cromer town with a such an amazing place to enjoy the view, the food and the atmosphere. Grateful!

I have been to this restaurant many times, it has always been consistent. Staff are always friendly and there is always a good selection of choices on the menu. Really enjoyable place to eat and relax.

Family of 12, mixed ages 18 months. to 77yrs. Were mightily impressed from start to finish with staff's help and acceptance of a little bit of table and chairs movement to accommodate us all together. Food wonderful as ever. As for those on first visit, they could now see why we go on so much about our favourite refreshment stop in Cromer. Thank you, R & A Laxton

Just been to the rocket House Cafe had a very nice fully loaded crab sandwich salad and chips and a gluten-free bap with bacon and brie and onion chutney salad and chips and a nice piece of coffee and walnut cake all very delicious and served by friendly staff

Haven't been for a while But food as good as always, their salads are very well dressed. Chefs need to be congratulated.

As they say where I come from, that Ranch wrap was bloody gorgeous. Food here always great!!

Beautiful views but food is overpriced. Asked if I could have crab platter without chips and the lady at till said she would take £1 off. Then she said she would ask the chef if I could have a crab salad and still charged me full price. £15.95 for a small crab in shell over a large amount of basic leaves, peppers, tomatoes and a slice of beetroot. Salad nothing special.

I’m am not vegan but decided to try the vegan breakfast! It was soooo good! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a very tasty breakfast!

Today we went to the rocket cafe for the first time in a while, it was absolutely delicious we had a full English and smoked mackerel poached eggs toast etc. We got there literally as they opened the food was quick fresh and hot. The quality of the food is outstanding you can tell it's local and fresh ! The staff where also lovely we where served by a lovely girl with blonde hair and she was kind and couldn't do enough for us, we highly recommend.

Always come here if we are in Cromer. It’s a firm favourite Quick and friendly service. Excellent quality, generous portions and good value for money. Can’t ask for anything else.

Went last weekend for a falafel salad which I had loved so much a couple of months ago. Came to Cromer especially. But was so disappointed- no spiced carrot, salsa Verde, coleslaw or bread with it. Just a big mix of slaw. It was nice but every mouthful was the same, boring to plough through and I was just gutted everything else was missing. I guess it was to save time and money but I felt very short changed

Popped in for lunch with visiting family. Once again the food was very good. Had the bacon , brie in roll with chips and salad. Generous portion and good value for money. Would recommend to give it a go.

This place never fails. Great location with stunning sea views. Excellent service, attentive staff. Delicious food (1 traditional breakfast and 1 toast with hummus, mushrooms, tomatoes and salsa verde). Lovely coffee.

After reading other reviews thought I would give this place a try for breakfast, I was a little disappointed, had the full English no hash brown or tomato, bacon was overcooked, sausage wasn't that good, but excellent mushrooms, poached egg and very nice buttered toast. Staff were friendly, cafe is in a great position

Its a must try, fantastic views freindly staff and just beutifull food.

The Rocket Cafe is the perfect place to rest your legs after a walk along the magnificent coast line of Norfolk. A well thought out menu, friendly staff with excellent views of the famous Cromer Pier. The Hog roast baps were generous in portion with an excellent homemade coleslaw on the side. The fish (although small in portion) and chips were cooked very well. I would thoroughly recommend this as a pit stop during your day out in Cromer.

Bank Holiday Monday and it’s busy, but we didn’t have to wait long for a table, served with speed and a smile, great service and the fish and chips with side salad were excellent Thank you ❤️

Best food in Cromer! Would reccomemd.

Recommended by a friend. Visited in March with my mum. On arrival a really friendly member of staff cleared a table for us at a large porthole window with seafront views over the pier. Great veggie/ vegan options. Good portion sizes. Couldn’t fault- would recommend and will visit again

Limited menu; but the seafood platter is good if you enjoy fish, sadly not for me. Good views out of the large picture window, but thta day was grey, drizzle and a flat even greyer sea. The selection of cakes looked promising, but we were there for a lunch. Dogs allowed, which made it noisy and to my mind less than hygenic. If dog owners bring their dogs in, fair enough, but if barking mad, literally, then they need to go elsewhere.

This place is a great find in cromer!! Very well presented huge portions of food. We ordered fish and chips, hog roast burger, chicken burger and a few soft drinks. Everyone loved their food, but we personally could do with a little bit more seasoning, and it would be bang on!!! The staffs were very welcoming and location was gorgeous xx

We have been coming to the rocket house for 10 years whenever we visit Cromer. It’s my mums favourite place because of the views. It was Mother’s Day so the rocket house was the obvious place to bring my mum. We arrived at around 11 and after 5 minutes of chatting I went to order. The staff member was friendly enough and told me they will not be taking anymore breakfast orders as they stop breakfast at 1130. Fine, I can appreciate that there is a kitchen handover and that there is a cut off. We wait around for 20 minutes for the lunch menu, and at 1125 I ask if I can order lunch, a different member of staff informs me that it’s not the lunch menu yet, surprised, I reply that I only wish to order and accept that preparation won’t be started right away, I was told again that I can’t order for another 4 minutes. I totally appreciate cut offs but found the whole situation petty. I’d recommend going across the concrete slip way to a more local and friendly cafe.

Went to this cafe with my mum. Really nice very spacious with lovely views of the sea. It is dog friendly which is great. I have a service dog so felt no one was eyeing me up to why i have a dog in a cafe. I am sure that helps with their income as so many people take their dogs for a walk on the beach then pop into the cafe for some food. Young vibrant staff friendly and helpful. The food was great all tasted real good. Will visit again soon

Love it, but, annoyingly, whilst the Google entry said it was open during the 2nd week in January 2024, when we got there after a 6 mile drive it was closed. These online entries for opening times are misleading and useless if business managers can't be bothered or don't think to amend them during periods of closure. Sadly, the "Rocket" are not alone in failing to do this.

I’ve eaten lunch here many times and always been happy. The breakfast is a huge disappointment though. The portion size was too small for the price and it was served in a bowl with a large rim so was difficult to eat. The one piece of toast was totally soaked as the rest of the food was stacked on top. Overall, poor. Friendly staff though

Plenty of seats and tables with a traffic sea view. Lift from promenade or from the top garden for those that have difficulty in climbing stairs.

I stopped by for a slice of cake and a coffee. The man at the till was so busy complaining to another customer about VAT and how all the local businesses were closing down that he couldn't be bothered to even look at me, far less take my order. I was on the point of walking out when a waitress appeared, and I asked if she could take my order. She couldn't, but she did get the man to stop moaning and serve me. The carrot cake was wonderful. Moist, not too sweet.

Great sea views from the large windows. Reasonably priced menu with sensible portions and a good choice of vegetarian and vegan options. We usually try to get lunch here when we're in Cromer, but can't always get a table on a busy day.

A great place to eat with seaview. We always visit several times during our annual Cromer holiday. We love the breakfast, full english for himself and mackerel & eggs for me. The pulled pork bap and mackerel and tapenade wrap are also excellent. Good ingredients and sensible prices. The added bonus is our dog is welcome too.

Couldn't fault anything here. Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to combine dishes from the menu for us. Really big salad bowl, so tasty, with light but delicious dressing. Excellent homemade hummous with sesame seeds. Really good chips. Delicious butternut soup. Generous portions, very good food, reasonable prices, dog friendly, and a lovely view.

It is above the lifeboat museum with great views of the beach inside or out on the balcony as its on the second floor. Coffee was good and hot and full of flavour and the food was freshly made and tasty also.

Very impressed. Visited on a Saturday morning. Four adults and two children. No children’s breakfast menu but we asked the young man at the till if they would do beans on toast for our four yr old. “Of course, no problem “ was the reply. Although I’m not vegan, I did have the vegan breakfast of hummus on toast with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. It was really tasty. My husband had smoked mackerel with poached egg on toast which he thoroughly enjoyed. The others opted for more traditional breakfast. Although prices are higher end, the food was lovely fresh produce, excellent quality and piping hot. Worth the extra for that, the view and the excellent service. Couldn’t fault our breakfast and nice to have some different choices. I very rarely give five stars but the Rocket Cafe deserved them.

An absolutely perfect place, wonderful location, wonderful menu, amazing staff. I loved every second of our visit and can't wait to come again. Perfect in every season/weather. If you do 1 thing in Cromer, come here...(then do more things because Cromer is wonderful!)

Rocket House Cafe is a great place to go for a casual meal or snack. It has a good central location in Cromer, and a lovely sea view from the outdoor balcony seating area. There is also plenty of indoor space, so it's a good option for all weather conditions. However its starting to look a little tired and parts of the venue were showing a bit of wear and tear. The cafe is dog-friendly, they are just not allowed on the sofas. The staff are very friendly and proactive ensuring tables are clean and the free drinking water is topped up. There is no table service, so you will need to order your food and drinks from the counter. While there was quite a qeue, it went reasonably fast and my order was taken in 10min. It did take 30min for our food to arrive. The food and cakes were tasty, but nothing exceptional. There is also a nice selection of specials, which change regularly in addition to a varied standard menu.

The best cafe in Cromer. No argument.

Holidaying in the area, we chose the cafe for lunch on the strength of its Tripadvisor reviews. And they certainly didn't let us down. Google Maps was actually going to take us elsewhere, so future guests need to take care about that: it is above the RNLI museum and you will need to walk down to it from the shopping streets. Once inside the building, you can either use the steps or the lift, and then you have the choice of either sitting inside or out on the balconies. The whole place was buzzing, the menu was well-priced, the food was lovely and arrived quickly, and you could sit with your dog anywhere. Thank you to all staff concerned, and we are sure to return.

Loved our breakfast! Stopped by on an autumnal Monday morning and we enjoyed a variety of the dishes amongst our family. We were lucky enough to have great views of the surfers and the pier from our table. Friendly staff, very dog friendly

What can I say, family friendly Cafe with a great view, fantastic coffees with a wide rage of food to suit everyone that is both well priced and presented brilliantly. Special thanks to the brunet batista for being so awesome and kind-hearted to my children on their visits prior to their move to Australia.

An original and different menu, beautifully presented and served with a smile. Great views from the balcony, pleasant atmosphere inside service was prompt even though it was busy. We will definitely be going again next time we visit Cromer.

Enjoyed our brie, bacon baggett with salad and chips plus the excellent cappuccino, all at reasonable prices, lovely views if you can get a window seat.

Great location with amazing outside views of the sea and pier but a tad pricey. Service is excellent but £14.50 for a burger on a seaside cafe is too much (5 October 2023). Expensive as London prices.

As a mobility scooter user being able to access all levels of the building using a lift that has a glass atrium at the top is a plus . The food did not disappoint with everything being freshly prepared and served promptly . Crab sandwich is a must in Cromer , served on fresh granary bread was excellent , the others chose a variety of food and each was well received and tasty . Casual dining with a pooch in tow isn’t easy but this place is worth a visit .

If you want a meal or just a coffee with excellent views of Cromer beach then this is the place😁 Location is just perfect

Nice atmosphere, always a nice ‘ buzz’ . We had a burger in bun, and pulled pork in bun ,very nice indeed. Service good , will visit again.
