We stayed in the most beautiful shephards hut ..It was so clean and had everything you would need in there too . It had a wood fired hottub and seating area with a firepit ! ..All in a private lil garden looking out to beautiful wild flowers and fields .we also had dinner and breakfast, the food was amazing and so delicious. Sitting outside in the hottub while watching the nightsky was just amazing and so peaceful. All of the staff were so helpful and accommodating nothing was too much effort ..This place is a real lil gem 💎... we can't wait to come back!!

Lovely hotel, rooms clean and comfortable, food great.

We are fairly regular customers. Just visited on a very busy Saturday evening where the service wasn’t at the usual standard and our mains (steaks) were missing the side salad and sauces we ordered (these were brought out shortly after). Upon completion of the main course, the manager visited our table and apologised for the inconvenience and very kindly compensated us with a voucher for a substantial amount which we deducted from the bill. The food was exceptional quality and the desserts were amazing. The place prides itself on quality service and food and even when they fell short slightly, they went above and beyond for us as customers to ensure we were looked after. Couldn’t recommend more. Thank you for a lovely evening and we look foward to visiting again soon!

Lovely room great food and service all for a good price

I went with my daughter's for a special evening together. Upstairs was very cold, they were very busy actually over booked and under staffed. The service was slow we gave up on a drink at the end of our meal. So disappointing. No I will not go again the food was ok but the evening was spoilt because of the slow poor service.

Excellent place food outstanding

Absolutely amazing! Value for money was incredible, spent the weekend with my partner in a Shepard's hut and no expense was spared in the making and upkeep of the huts, we had our own private wood fired hot tub and a fire pit. We ate at the pub and the food was 5 star and very well priced. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

Lovely roast dinner on Easter Sunday. We had the turkey roast and it was tasty and hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive, coming back to see if we wanted any extra drinks, sauces and gravy etc. Would recommend and visit again

First time back for a good while. Really good service, food delicious and servers attentive. Ginger pudding was so light and tasty. Lovely wood burner alight. Very busy but much improved. Been decorated too and looking smart but welcoming. Very full up. Lovely evening.

We stopped for lunch en route so had no expectations. We cannot comment on the rooms, but the pub is really well decorated, spacious and friendly with a great menu. Portions are in the larger side and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed our meal and would certainly stop again next time we are pasing.

Great fish and chips.nice staff,clean restaurant and bar,worth a visit. Revisit 8th June 2023 Family lunch for four.very very nice. Great service and everywhere very clean and smart Pre-booked for 12 30 and shown to well positioned comfortable table. Ordered red mullet and bubble & squeak with mash, kale and capers served on a butter type sauce. Steak and ale pie with cups and peas with a jug of gravey. Two prawn baked bagettes with a nice side salad. Everyone was happy with the service and all of the food. Very friendly pleasant staff, attentive and smiling. Very enjoyable have been before and keep returning for special occasions. It was our mum's 91st birthday this time, and the staff sang her happy birthday. Recommended.

Always a pleasure to visit, as we live local now it was good to find a decent eatery. We have visited several times and will continue.

Great place in a very easy location for a meet up with friends and family living in opposite directions. Great menu choices with something for everyone, food was beautiful. Attentive but not pushy staff and a friendly atmosphere.

A great place to go, getting out can be a bit tricky though.

We have not stayed in the rooms so can't comment. The food was nice but the service was slow we had to ask to have our dessert ordered as I think they forgot us or maybe just hoping we would order more drinks.

This is a lovely place to stay for a short break. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the pub/restaurant is excellent with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. There are also shepherd huts with hot tubs if you feel little more adventurous.

Popped in for lunch with an old friend recently. Friendly, prompt service and tasty food helped things along nicely.

We recently visited for a late lunch. What a revelation! Excellent food, service and surroundings. We shall be back.

We stopped off here, for brekkie, on our way to North Norfolk for our Christmas 🎄🎄 weekend extravaganza. The service was lovely and the breakfast was very good. Despite being on the main A140 it is quiet and atmospheric. I recommend a stop off for a meal of your choice.

Six of us had a working lunch there this week. The service was cheerfully efficient, the food well-presented and tasty ... the vibe is welcoming, with attractive decor. We'll go there again.

Went for an evening meal. Food was excellent (especially the desserts), nice place to eat, friendly, and welcoming. Only downside was that the staff were not attentive, we had to get up and go t them when we needed something. It was a busy night though.

Had a very nice Sunday lunch here. Nice menu and friendly staff in a nice and relaxed setting. Family friendly and has a great play area near the car park.

Everyone at the White Horse Inn came to the rescue when the roads were severely flooded, meaning that the a140 and other roads were impassable. Everyone maintained a positive attitude despite a power cut and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was looked after. I was fortunate to stay in the shepherd's hut - which was beautiful. Due to the circumstances, i couldn't take full advantage of this little piece of heaven - but would highly recommend for a quiet getaway, whilst having easy access to other destinations. Staff were A1. Can't recommend highly enough.

Gutted i missed on the pork but the turquey roast was fab . Was v happy until I tasted my partner mushroom rice. Made wrong choice. Yum.

Called in for our evening meal, on entering we were made to feel welcome. Lovely venue and the staff were so friendly. We had a lovely meal which was well presented.

I stayed here for a friends wedding with my wife and our friends. We’re from Canada and loved how quaint The White Horse was! We stayed up in the pub a bit late one night and they very politely told us to go to bed haha, they shouldn’t have been so nice! Staff was great and we loved our one server that thought we were American at first but apologized when we explained we were Canadians! Would stay again, we want to do a Shepherds Hut with the Hot Tub next time we’re across the pond!

A very good find. Although on a busy main road there was little noise inside. Lovely welcome from Kelly and great service throughout the evening. Air conditioning in room which was very welcome on the date of my stay. Comfortable bed. Only thing letting the room down was a fixed head shower. Room would have benefited from a mini fridge.

Can't really comment on rooms as I've never used one, only the restaurant (I'm not going to mark down for something I haven't used, hence the 5 star. Restaurant is lovely with a nice atmosphere and plenty of options to sit. The staff are friendly and polite, and good/drinks always of good quality

Have visited several times on impulse, for food, and each time staff have been welcoming, as well as accommodating in finding a table. Good, creative menu choice and attentive service. Large car park and on main Ipswich/Norwich route.

After navigating the start, stop Ipswich Road it was a pleasure to be welcomed and offered a very good lunch much appreciated. Pity we live so far from away or we would definitely become regulars.

On 16th Aug' 23, I made the mistake of ordering the 10oz Sirloin Steak. The waiter did ask how I would like it cooked and I said medium rare. I sat for ages while the 10 plus people I was with all got their food while I sat and waited, then when it eventually came out, it wasn't worth the wait at all. I cut into it and it was one shade of grey through from one side to the other, had no charring on the outside, was chewy and tasteless. Now, either, Chef decided I'd have it how he/she/they wanted me to have it, doesn't know how to cook a steak, or it was under a heat lamp for far too long. I've often wondered what this Inn is like having driven past many time before, I will now continue to just drive past or go to the Four Horseshoes nearby next time.

Great experience, staff are friendly and professional..the dinig area is warm and cosy plenty if seating with space.. menus is 100% down of the best home cooked food I have tasted and the portions are amazing ...the rooms for overnight stay are also well decorated and quite trendy.

Lovely place to eat although I would say my fish &chips were not very big considering the price,but nice meal and hot.

Spent just one night here, the room was lovely, the evening meal was lovely, all the staff were great and the breakfast was good, could do with a bit more of a selection for vegans.

Wow…. The ribs, stunning sauce huge ribs and all the other meals were brilliant. The staff are actually the nicest most polite and helpful I have met in a long time, very impressed. The ground are amazing and have a great sandpit, tunnels and a tyre swing.

Fabulous, we had the Rack of Ribs with chips and coleslaw, delicious. Friendly staff always there if you need anything. Definitely try if you haven't been.
