Exceptional !!! We love this place and cannot recommend it enough. Lovely friendly staff. Food as always was perfect, we had mackerel pate, garlic mushrooms, garlic crevettes, fish & chips , grilled haddock & chicken burger , cooked to perfection, the side salad are beautiful and full of flavour & quantity. Extremely lucky to be able to sit alfresco looking over the sea on a mid September day. Just wish we lived closer as this would be our local. Can also recommmend the Crab Hut for superb crabs & crevettes to take home. Looking forward to coming back next Spring unless we can sneak a cheeky weekend away in before then.

This is a very welcoming pub both in looks of the pub and garden itself and service from the lovely staff. Gorgeous gardens for al fresco dining, an under cover seated area as well as a dining room and bar area too. It has a cordoned off children's play area. And dog's are very welcome. The menu is quite extensive and the hardest part is deciding what to have, we both plumped for the steak and kidney puddings (his and her sizes...) and opted for mashed potato and green veg. What can I say, the steak and kidney puddings got a 10 from both of us as the suet pastry was excellent and absolutely filled to the brim with tasty, tender meat. The mashed potatoes just right and the 2 types of cabbage cooked to perfection. We were so full we couldn't manage a dessert (but the menu all looked very appealing) so an Americano and Latte coffee's completed our meals. We can highly recommend.

What an excellent restaurant. Used to go regularly, but certain problems prevented us for a while. Menu was full of choice. I chose the fillet steak, which I couldn’t fault for taste, it was cooked just to my liking and the triple cooked chips are the best around. Dessert was the apple strudel and it was perfect. So happy to have been able to re-visit this excellent venue. Go of you can, you won’t be disappointed.

Worst service from a range of hotels on our MBA Global Immersion. The staff is abrupt and brushes one off too obviously. It seems there is a bit of discrimination against foreigners as the locals are treated much better with pleasant smiles and helpful assistance. Don't think you will get on time to your 8 o'clock meeting as their weekday kitchen only opens at 7 am, and combined with an understaffed and slow kitchen, you will most probably have to leave your breakfast to catch your transport. The rooms are also very small for similar money in other places in the UK, with obvious stains on the carpets. Not to be recommended - very sad for such a briljiant location.

First class food, friendly and welcoming staff, quiet location. We had a holiday cottage for a week in the village and the pub was 2 minutes walk! Our family of six ate dinner here twice and also had a takeaway. All meals were beautifully cooked and presented and between us we tried lots of different dishes. Starters, mains and puds all excellent. Even several gluten free options which is necessary for me as a coeliac. Large outdoor seating area as well. Highly recommended.

Just under £32 for one cup of tea and two Welsh rarebit, which was one slice of half burnt half undercooked bread, tasteless cheese and a just ok accompanying salad each, in my view constitutes pretty poor value for money, would not go again tbh.

it doesn’t look much from the outside but once you’re inside there’s a reason they’re the best Mexican in the country and award winning! James our server was probably one of the best I’ve ever encountered in this industry. His customer service skills are just beyond top level! The cocktails are amazing and the food is just incredible! The money you pay for what you get is well worth it. I couldn’t decide which sauce I wanted for my enchilada and James brought me out a tasting selection before deciding, which certainly helped make my decision. Portion sizes are massive and as much as we wanted a dessert there is just literally no way we could handle it as we were both so stuffed. What a hidden little gem! Cannot wait to return and tell everyone about this place. You have to go!

Visited this restaurant after a trip to Harry Potter studios . Have to say everything was spot on from the service and the food. We were a group of 9 and ordered a variety of dishes including starters, mixed kebab, pide, lamb shank. It was all hot, fresh and tasty. There was also complimentary bread and a harissa type sauce and olives. The only downside was that there was no parking as the restaurant is on a main dual carriageway and we struggled to find parking. In tge end after 10 mins of driving around i managed to find a spot outside some shops about a 5-10 min walk away but even that was 1 hour limit before 6pm but as we went around 8pm it wasn't an issue. would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
