The Noor Mahal in Three Rivers

Great food, entertainment was unexpectedly hugely fun! There was this half Spanish woman who sang a part and I was blown away. What a great evening!

This is absolutely the best restaurant around great service great food what more could you want? Good price? A very nice eating experience

Food was absolutely incredible!! We will certainly be coming back in a hurry. We’ve recently moved to the area, so over the moon to find such a fab local Indian cuisine!

Disappointing takeaway tonight. Tandoori chicken was just chicken and onions, no sign of tandoori marinade. Bengal raz rajoti was bland and almost no dhanya (coriander). Fish chutney was good.

Taken here, sounded good but that’s apparently a personal “thing”! Several of the dishes selected came up looking more like baby food, a thickened soup! The “prawns” in my main dish were awful they looked like they had been split lengthways and not degutted/deveined !! The staff were however very courteous and attentive, that doesn’t (in my book) make up for the food!!

I didn't actually get to go into the restaurant, which would have been wonderful, but had another ABSOLUTELY AMAZING takeaway, delivered by the most special Chef ever! Wow, what can I say! As we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely staff member (Imran). We were informed that there were no available spaces which was unfortunate, but their sincerity was heart touching and they told us to come back in 40 minutes,so we tried another place across the road. It immediately became clear that the other place was lovely, and the service was adequate but we felt Noor Mahal was just a step above, so we tried our luck again! Boy did we make the right choice! Things don’t always go right in life but if you roll the dice you may get more than what you bargained for. We returned again and we were met by Imran with a delighted and authentic smile who directed us to a table that had been freed. The busy atmosphere informed us “hey this place is popular” and you can’t ever disregard the locals’ experience! We ordered tikka masala and some curry ting wid mince meat. Imran’s warm demeanour and zest for life matched the quality of the curry. Excellent 10/10 would recommend and it’s halal! Next time I shall make a pilgrimage to Noor Mahal, and you should too!

After years of enjoying takeaways we decided to try eating in for a change, and so glad we did!! Beautiful food in lovely surroundings, but the staff are the absolute jewel in the crown of this fabulous restaurant. From the minute you walk through the door to the minute you leave nothing is too much trouble for them. Friendly is an understatement without being intrusive I literally don’t have a bad word to say!! Portion sizes were generous, food tasty and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back again!!

I don't know what to say. I'm still speechless!! This was the best meal I've had in a restaurant in a long time. The service was super polite and accommodating. I haven't experienced that often. If I wasn't a German holidaymaker, I would come to eat every week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Noor Mahal. The service was excellent, with the staff extremely attentive and happy to talk through the menu in detail. We had various starters and mains amongst the party of 4, including crab, peas paneer, Nawazi and Shahjahani Murgh Dumpak amongst others, all of which were delicious. Probably the best onion bhajis we’ve ever too. Would highly recommend the restaurant and we’ll be back!

Five Stars – A Fantastic Evening! My husband and I were so excited for the Elton Night at Noor Mahal, but when we initially enquired, it was fully booked. The staff were incredibly kind, took our details, and promised to let us know if any availability came up. A few weeks later, to our delight, they called to say they could fit us in – we were so grateful! The night finally arrived after a particularly stressful week at work, and I’ll admit, I had completely forgotten about our booking. But to my surprise, the restaurant called to remind me—something they absolutely didn’t have to do. I was so appreciative because otherwise, we would have lost our deposit! I let them know we’d be there in 15–20 minutes, and despite being late, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were all smiles, and Elton was absolutely fantastic. We settled in, and wow—what an incredible few hours! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious as always, and the entertainment was top-tier. The team worked tirelessly throughout the evening, even with another sitting to manage, yet they never stopped smiling. I just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for making it such a brilliant night. These special themed evenings that they host every few months are a must-visit. Really blown away by the food and service here! The staff introduce themselves and really want to make sure you have a wonderful meal. The food was sublime! Had a takeaway and while it tasted OK at first by halfway through the salt was far too excessive. I spent the night drinking water to try and flush it out. Not again I am afraid.

This restaurant is probably the best in Watford. It scores top marks on food, service and ambience. If you appreciate lovely food do not miss this restaurant.

We are local people, and have been customers of this wonderful restaurant now ever since they arrived in the Village, and their food just keeps getting better and better 😀. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. I arranged a visit for my dad’s 60th Birthday. I emailed to reserve a table and mentioned it was my dad’s birthday. I soon received a response confirming my reservation and that they'd also get a cake for us and sing happy birthday on the day. The food is amazing and very tasty and at a very good price too. (The best biriyani around). Fantastic value for money. The guys who work there are so nice and very welcoming, they cant do enough for you. They brought the cake out with candles and sung happy birthday to my dad, I’m so grateful to them. Not only a fantastic meal but they went above and beyond to make our experience the very best. They even played happy birthday on their piano - where they have a pianist performance on select nights. So, so thankful to them and I will be coming back…even when its not anyones birthday. Thank you Noor Mahal!!

They went over and above to make myself and the family feel welcome. It was my birthday and they even sourced a cake without being asked to add to the evening. Definitely the friendliest restaurant I’ve been too in a long time.

Friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere, but most importantly, delicious food. I had the pistachio korma with garlic naan and the best I've had in the UK. I can't recommend this place enough, I'll certainly be back soon or if someone lives in the area, there's a delivery option.

A marvellous meal. Carefully spiced with lean, tender meat. Carefully packed with whole poppadoms and pots of riata and a bag of salad. Delivered on time by a smiling driver. Highly recommend The Noor Mahal.
