We went for a Christmas get together and it’s all very poor. Food was cold which was very poor quality and served in plastic?! Arriving at 7:30pm mains were served at 11:30pm. There was a DJ on site however was openly vaping inside the venue.

Visited Masala bowl tonight having not been for a while since they first opened. Food was good, service was fast and attentive. I will not leave it too long till I return again.

First time here for their brunch, lovely atmosphere, food was amazing!! Also large portions. The brunch is such a good offer too, staff could not be more helpful and they even let us bring our cockerpoo. I will absolutely be back may of found a new favorite place !!

Not a 5 star since their quality of meat is a bit average. Salmon and prawn dishes are bit pricey as well. Seasoning is good though.

What a gem of a place!! We simply loved the experience!! Food was very authentic and was bursting with flavours. Cocktails were great and very well presented. The decor stands out and speaks for itself!! Ask the team about funny notes on the paintings and you will definitely have a laugh!!! Best part is they even allow pets 🌟 Fun place to socialise!!! Thank you all!! Cannot wait to be back!!

The food at masala bowl is fantastic! And perfect as an Indian restaurant. I am glad the restaurant has kept the flavours authentic and not tried to make everything creamy and buttery. Shivangi is fantastic as host and provides great options and recommendations!!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at Masala Bowl yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Goan prawn curry. It was authentic, spicy and full of flavour. The biriyani was amazing and a very generous portion. We loved the decor and thought the service was second to none. We'll definitely be returning!

We went for new year's eve. The food was great. Atmosphere was good and so was the service.

Nice ambience. Initially we got burnt dal makhni, but they replaced it later. I still feel the main course could have been better in taste. Starters, especially spinach chaat was good. We had a good family experience there.

Don’t order from here! You won’t get rice with your curry for £15—what a rip-off! The food wasn‘t good at all! The lassi was overly sweet and tasted artificial. Not refreshing at all. Never again!

The Masala Bowl team were amazing as I hosted my Xmas party . They allocated me the whole top floor of the restaurant. The food, cocktails were sublime and we loved Sanjay's DJ grooves. Came for the comedy night... Food was lovely but we couldn't hear most the comedy... As there was Xmas party downstairs.. and issues with the mics...

I am in love with this place. The ambience, decor and food is consistently so good. They even have comedy nights and to top it off the DJ at the end of the night gets all best music out! Vimmy & Sanj, the owners always make me feel so welcome and at home. Well done, a special hidden gem 😃

We attended for a Christmas meal. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. Starters and mains were served cold and late, desserts were not served until 11.30pm and with plastic cutlery. They were unable to provide tap water as they had run out of jugs. The waiters consistently asked our friend for his lighter. I was charged for alcohol I did not consume. The service and quality of food was atrocious.

This place is amazing! We hired the room upstairs for our son’s 18th Birthday party and it did NOT disappoint. The food was amazing, the staff are fantastic, friendly and happy to help in any way they can… a huge thank you to Monika, Sanj and the team for looking after us and making it the perfect evening. They took care of everything so we could enjoy the celebrations. We got so many compliments from our guests on the venue too. We would 100% recommend Masala Bowl….It’s the perfect venue!

My order was over 2 hours late, they just kept extending the delivery time. Over 2 hours to prepare a Dahl and padpri chat - terrible and no call, no apology, no explanation whatsoever

Delicious food served by friendly staff Worth mentioning Mr Suresh and Mr Rutvik. I really liked the spicy North indian recipe. The ambiance is fantastic that you can spend a quality of time with your family and friends. I like the moto Khao Piyo Maja Karo.... Eat drink and enjoy

So this will be a very mixed review. Bad points: the downstairs sink and toilet were dirty. I went before ordering food and i was subsequently put off my whole meal. Also i found a small hair in the chips which again just disgusted me. I didnt say anything to the staff as we were with friends and i didnt want to ruin everyone’s meals. The kids meal options are good but the chips were kinda mediocre and dry Good points: drinks were pretty. Food was tasty and decent portions.

This restaurant in Rickmondsworth was in a good location. There is paid parking available near the restaurant. The ambiance and service were good. Food wise some dishes were good and some were okay. Chicken tikka, pav bhaji and cocktails were really good. The bang bang cauliflower, masala papad and chilly chicken didnt have the kick to it. Price was I found it reasonable.

Had dinner here. Ordered for some chicken dishes as main last night. Service is good. It seems there were very less chicken pieces and lot of gravy inside though starters were good but main course was not up to the mark. Won't recommend anyone.

Went there for High Tea. The atmosphere was amazing, colourful and chic to say the least. Staff were extremenly friendly and helpfull. Service was amazing. Food options were plenty and fresh. Shivangi was extremenly helpful from the start and accomodated our queries.

Really nice staff, funky decor, extremely flavoursome and delicious food. Best place for a curry in the Rickmansworth/Watford locality hands down. We eat here as a family and the dishes such as masala chips, okra, keema naan, chicken tikka masala and methi chicken are standouts. Looking forward to returning and trying out the rest of the menu.

We tried this place when it first opened and weren't impressed. It had, commendably, a fresh, fun look and vibe with references in the decor to the confusion of being British and Indian both at once. For example, at the entrance they have the front section of an old Austin Cambridge/ Hindustan Motors Ambassador car to act as a bench for you to wait on. There are Gujarati sayings on the walls, but they are written in the Roman alphabet. The word "fusion" appears several times on the menu. The only problem back then was that the food wasn't very good. Last Saturday, we spent a tortuous THREE hours at Costco Watford waiting for four tyres to be fitted to my car. Whilst waiting we made a booking at nearby Masala Bowl to see if it had improved, as all the latest reviews suggested. It then took us another hour to travel the four miles to Rickmansworth thanks to a crash on the M25 which paralysed Watford. We were super miserable when we got to the restaurant. Masala Bowl saved the day. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had the Bhel Puri from the Chaat selection, a kebab starter and the Karahi Chicken, some naan and some roti, which was exactly the same as the naan. It was all delicious and we ordered the Karahi chicken again. The service was also really good. It's not a big place, all the tables were occupied, and there was also a large party upstairs, but we didn't have to be assertive to get attention. I was considerably less miserable when we left the restaurant. I look forward to eating there again.

Our experience was enhanced by the attentive service provided by Sanjay and Monika, who expertly guided us through the menu and took our orders for food and drinks. The menu offers a diverse selection of options and cuisines, ensuring something for everyone. The cocktails were a standout, showcasing unique flavors. The food was equally impressive; the Chicken Tikka Platter was cooked to perfection, tender, and accompanied by a wonderful variety of chutneys. First time at this restaurant, but we’ve enjoyed the food as a takeaway previously. Our waiter Suresh was very warm, friendly, helpful and considerate. The food was delicious and we were offered a complimentary mango after dinner drink which was a lovely way to complete a wonderful meal out. It has a great atmosphere, from the music to the decor and seating. I loved the little dishes the food was served in! All in all a lovely evening out, highly recommended.

Another superb dinner of Indian street food. Though I’ve been several times, I’m continually surprised with the quality and authenticity of all the dishes. Service this evening was fantastic despite being a busy Friday night, Suresh was a kind and attentive waiter who facilitated my various complicated requests. We were not sure if this could be a good experience based on the look from outside but to our surprise they served very good food, accommodated my vegan request to cook potato bhaja in separate oil.

Easy to miss this authentic Indian restaurant in the high street, but worth the find. Visited this restaurant with work colleagues on a recommendation. We loved the much more traditional Indian food than the more westernised Indian restaurants in the area. Food was so tasty and tried dishes I had not heard of but were well know to asian members of our party, who were very impressed by the food. Staff were very attentive. Worth seeking out this great find in the town

Amazing food and service from Suresh.

I went for a curry last night to masala bowl with my son, the greeting we received was very friendly and warm, the service was impeccable drinks served straight away I ordered sheek kebab starter which as I told the chef where the best I’d ever tasted great poppadoms and dips the kebabs where so good I ordered them for main with crispy buttered naan and dal makhani one of my favourite Indian dishes and it was also one of the best I’ve ever had we had a chicken tikka masala and rice which was lovely, can’t wait to rebook and go back to work my way through the menu esp want to try the Indian pizza which sounded amazing, service 10/10, the place 10/10 food /10/10, if your in Rickmansworth for food only head to one place Massla Bowl
