The best restaurants in East Midlands

A small restaurant with very pleasant staff serving excellent vegetarian food. Near the top of Steep Hill and adjacent to the castle and cathedral, this is not a polished cafe and part of a large restaurant chain. It is a small venue where excellent vegetarian food is served. If you are looking for healthy food and a change from burgers and fries, then try Pimento.

Delicious food and friendly atmosphere

Recently visited with some friends and it's not normal bad but my friend fell ill he was throwing his guts 6 times and when I spoke to him today he says he still feel really bad I'm unsure what caused he's sickness bout

First time visiting while in the area. Busy pub. Lots going on, good vibe, friendly staff, very welcome and accommodating. Would like to return and have a meal in the near future

Had a fantastic night at this pub the staff were fantastic and really went out of their way to help us , stayed overnight in camper van , the food was excellent but I was really sad to hear it’s closing 😳I hope the owner re thinks this and re opens again soon before he loses the excellent team he has running the place , staff like them are hard to come by.

Nice, quiet, social pub. Great outside and in. Stocks every thing you could want and more to try. A pub for people who like a good pub.

Driven past this place loads so decided to finally try. All we can ask ourselves is why we haven’t been before? The food was fantastic, great portions and so much to choose from. It really did take us ages to decide because the menu looks awesome! We will absolutely be returning (lots) so we can try everything!! The outside area looks like it would be great in the summer too….unfortunately for us it was raining today. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming also.

Best Stilton in chicken sauce ever!

We went last night before the fireworks as a group of 15 , the service was great!! And everyone enjoyed their meals the food was lovely!! Will definitely be back

Lovely pub run by two brothers and a sister. Quality beer. Great service.

Another excellent meal in here. Its an amazing little place that really does have fresh quality food. Highly recommended, but remember to book! Service if friendly and efficient.
