Great place to meet with friends and family for brunch/ lunch. They welcome dogs which is great. Can get a bit noisy when there are large groups dining but it all adds to the relaxed atmosphere

We visited earlier having just moved to the area and it might be our new favourite spot. The staff were so wonderful, the food was a solid 10/10 and the atmosphere was the perfect mix of relaxed and classy. Everything we ate was unreal and the cocktails were also amazing. We will be coming back!
Pizzas for the kids were ok, but the rest was disappointing, small portions and little authentic or appealing.
Bruschetta was nothing more than cold hard bread with toasted cheese and mushrooms.
Then when the bill came the service charge was shown as 10% but below the total was a note to say “service charge not included”.
“Oh this is a mistake, it shouldn’t say that!”
Unfortunately, our birthday meal at this restaurant was quite disappointing. After receiving our starter, the main course took over 30 minutes to arrive. The service was slow all evening and, when asked about our meal, our comments seemed to go unheard.
The server's disingenuous response and the added service charge only added to our frustration. I emailed the restaurant afterward and was simply told they would inform the chef.
This is fairly poor service for the price we paid, comparable to a fast-food experience. Very disappointing.
I won’t be back to this restaurant or any other ls in the group anytime soon
Great service from all the staff, special thanks to Corey & Charlie
Food was great & reasonably priced, good choice of drinks available, a great venue for the night out, indoors or outdoors, really enjoyed watching the football here and everyone had a great time and we will definitely return
Went for the vegetarian set menu. sharing platter - Satay had not peanut sauce, corn fritters? wife had one kernel one more than me. Vegetable tempura was 3 onion rings one very over cooked, spring rolls ok but dull, sweet potato fritters very good. 3 dipping sauces but no explanation what was what so pot luck.
Main course, lets start with the good, Green curry was very flavorsome. Tofu, cashew nut, pineapple and ginger stir fry arrived with no tofu and no Cashews, when I pointed this out it was replaced the tofu and cashew was there but the pineapple and ginger had gone AWOL. Stir fried mixed vegetables had very fresh veg but little of them.
I would have given one star but the restaurant itself was very nice.
Found this place by accident and had a delicious lunch with a huge pot of tea, the food and service were both excellent. It’s a shame we are from Norwich and unlikely to visit Oakham again soon
Fantastic pub. Lovely beer garden and kids friendly. Landlord and landlady are friendly and kind. Would highly recommend people to go and try this pub.

One night stay ( second visit) . Lovely room . Lots of renovation work is being done.
Comfortable bed. Great shower.
A quieter room this time as not at the front on the main road.
Convenient for pubs and restaurants.
Good price, better if you book direct.
No breakfast available.
Overall, a pleasant stay.
