At best the food was average and lacking real Thai flavours. Duck/pancake starter was very small, dry and didn't seem freshly cooked. Some catering version.

I came here for the first (and last) time on New Years Eve. Food was absolutely shocking, flavourless, and tasted like it had all be boiled in one pot. When we brought our concerns up to the manager, he didn’t want to know. The pad Thai was pink, and smelt revolting. Not sure if the prawns were out of date maybe? Manager refused to refund this meal, said that it was just not to our “personal taste”, but instead gave us some completely irrelevant nonsense which went something along the lines of “when you’re at a football match, and your teams 5-0 down, you don’t ask for a refund for your ticket”… also seen him use the same nonsense in a reply on another review on here a couple of years back, so must be a saying he uses on the regular… It 1. Doesn’t relate at all to the situation and 2. Is the most stupid analogy I’ve ever heard. The whole party of 8, who all thought the food was shocking, and all had different meals, shows it was nothing to do with “personal taste”, and everything to do with it being the worst food we’d ever had in a restaurant. Would recommend the manager and his chefs give the food a taste, and maybe eat out at some other Thai restaurants and maybe then they’ll understand. Also, for a manager to argue back with his customers is shocking really, and bad for business. Creates bad feeling and a bad atmosphere for others in the restaurant. Seemed the manager was too delusional to see the problems within his restaurant, and couldn’t accept that the food just wasn’t to a good standard. Kind of reminded me of those chefs you see on Gordon Ramsay’s programmes, who see no issues with their food or business. Basic customer service skills to not argue back with your customers, and offer refunds and discounts when you encounter a dissatisfied customer. Will never return here again.

My experience here was poor to say the least. I'd usually be reluctant to post a bad review after bad food if the staff were accommodating and helpful, however this was not the case. I ordered the pad Thai which came out and smelled off and not very pleasant at all, I don't know if the prawns were off but after about 2 mouthfuls I really didn't want to eat anymore, so much in fact that it put me off my appetite. I asked for the dish to be taken back and the server took it back for me. Please note at this point I wasn't offered any alternative dish. It then came to paying the bill, I was obviously happy to pay for my drinks and my partners meal, but I would not be paying for the pad Thai. Now rather than taking this on the chin the owner decided to start arguing with me, claiming that there was nothing wrong with my dish but that it just 'wasn't to my preference' whatever that means. If it means wanting a fresh meal that doesn't smell like it's been cooked in toilet water then I supposed it wasn't to my preference no. He also stated that 'if I bought a ticket to a football match and your team lost 5-0 you wouldn't ask for your money back would you?'. Again I don't know where the logic applies in that argument, but its almost like the football industry and the food & drunk industry are 2 completely different things isnt it. He was then going on about how i didnt ask for anything else on the menu to replace it. A) i didnt get offered, and B) i didnt want anything anyway, so that was a pointless argument. He then I think as a last straw accused me of being rude to the waitresses which was annoying as it was completely untrue as I was nothing but polite to them despite their clear lack of experience. All this because I wanted £12 knocking off a £130 odd bill for some food I didnt even eat. Again, this review wouldn't even exist if it got solved amicably and with out a fuss. Can safely say I won't be back again, and I'm sure he won't miss me either. Stay jazzy, JC

Called in last night with a few friends . We were delighted to see an array of premium lagers on draught at very reasonable prices . Our table was ready but we opted to have a few drinks in the bar area before our evening meal . Peroni was our choice and the ladies took full advantage of the 2 cocktails for £12 offer . We were then seated by the wonderful and friendly staff to wait for the delights we had chosen whilst enjoying our drinks . I opted for the ribs for starter which were very tender and tasty in a sticky bbq sauce . My wife had the duck which looked like a mini feast for one . All very good !! My main was a chicken panang curry which was full of flavour in a rich thick sauce and a side of egg rice , again very good . My wife had the pad prik poa, a type of stir fried chicken and vegetables in a chilli oil style sauce which again was full of flavour . Everyone enjoyed their food and we all had a brilliant night . The bill was very reasonable at £35 each considering that we had at least 3 rounds of drinks with that . Will defiantly return !

Main course we had the green curry and noodle dish with beef, and 2 rice, also all nice and very filling. Service was good, and couldn’t complain. Surprised they didn’t offer a choice of sweets though, not that I could have managed one anyway. All in all a good nice meal and all for about £50, inc several drinks. Bargain in this day and age. My thoughts on this restaurant. I was looking for somewhere to eat as a family get together, that was pretty central for us all. Looked on the reviews and this seemed to fit the bill. My parents are fickle and so this involved no driving for them, wouldn't be a drawn out affair etc. They like Chinese and Indian, but cook these at home and its a bit ubiquitous, so decided to try Thai. On arrival the greeting was friendly and service at the bar was good. I don't think the drinks prices were over inflated and the staff friendly. We were seated and the menus delivered and there appeared a good choice of dishes. This was my first worry... If there's a large selection of dishes are they freshly made? Between us (6) we ordered Starters and mains. I opted for the sharing platter for my wife and I, and the crispy fried tofu. The rest of the table crispy fried squid, tempura prawns, and other starters (Apologies I can't remember). The starters arrived but not all at the same time causing a quandary of wait or start??. The sharing platter was pretty insipid, no real stand out flavours and the prawn toast was neither prawny or toasty. The spring rolls had no real taste other than of the oil they were fried in. The Thai fishcakes reminded me of the gel blocks you stick to your toilet, no real discernable flavour or texture. The crispy fried tofu was hollow inside the coating?? so frozen and fried to order??. Everyone ate and we were just a bit underwhelmed. It didn't help when the waitress spilled dipping sauce down my trousers either.🤣🤣. The mains came and I have to say as we walked into the restaurant it looked like some of the staff were popping out or the day shift swapping over. Without sounding racist they looked Thai so I held out big hopes for the food. I ordered the Thai Massaman Curry and Sticky rice, my wife the Tamarind Duck and coconut rice, my brother sweet and sour, Dad Red Curry, Brother ?? can't remember and Mum had the chicken and mushroom dish. The Massaman curry was a poor effort, I've had Thai before and I like the Hot, Sweet, Sour, Salty flavour combination which spikes your taste buds. Unfortunately this did none of that 😭😭 My wife swapped dishes as she didn't like the duck so had my curry sauce on her rice. Again we have to say on the whole whilst it was all edible it struck us resoundingly as Ding food (Microwave) and to cook a duck breast like they did is almost criminal. At the end there were no dessert options offered and we paid and left. I know I sound negative and I apologise, maybe I just hoped for more. All the food was hot and edible, just had scope for being so much better. Look for 6 of us including drinks and a tip it was £220 and that is in these times is certainly value. However I'd gladly have paid more if they reduced the menu size, and just concentrated on a Dozen dishes done really well. Overall I wouldn't go again and there isn't anything that would make me recommend it to anyone. It has scope for being so much more but just failed to deliver.

Really enjoyed our visit! The food is absolutely delicious, possibly the nicest beef panang I’ve ever had. The staff need a bit more training, we had to repeat our drinks order 4 times for them to understand what we wanted and it was only a gin and lemonade. Generally really friendly but I would definitely return on the food quality alone. Thinking of getting a takeaway from there this week because it really is lovely. Food was delicious and very authentic tasting with excellent quality ingredients. (we had chicken and beef - both were very good quality cust!) Service was also excellent and friendly. Nice to know it is also a lounge bar - with nice seating and a well stocked bar. You guys should push this more as you wouldn't assume you can just call in for drinks! All in all a great experience and we will return. Maybe one pointer is the lighting is quite stark - maybe some tea lights on tables to give a little more intimate vibe would be nice! We shall return soon and share with others! Well done guys!

The mains were faultless and the Tamarind duck...stunning.worth coming alone just for that dish.. the host was lovely. Friendly and welcoming...just a couple quibbles.the paper menus are left on table and get a bit messy with finger food..the restaurant itself looks a little tired and very sin...just tables and chairs and not much ambience..a tealight or few flowers would be most welcome and the car park needs tidying up...they are missing a trick with no dessert menu...even if just a refreshing sorbet or something as I like something sweet after my meal..however I could eat the tamarind duck every day so we will definitely return...nice big table to accommodate the wheelchair member of our party.

We weren’t disappointed. The restaurant layout is fresh and modern. We were given a window table, which was very nice, as there were Christmas parties dining who were quite rowdy, so it was nice to be able to be in a quiet corner. The food is exceptionally good value. I had the beef salad to start, it was so fragrant and tasty, and they even upped the chilli for me!For main I had the Tamarind Duck, simply stunning. The rest of our party had a mixed bag of Thai dishes which were all “top drawer”.The wine list was also very good, and also good value.

Went for some food with friends, food was okay however the staff and owners were rude and had no respect. Owner was very arrogant and horrible to the staff, leading the staff to be stressed and unsociable when bringing out food and drink. Floor had food all over it and table was sticky! Music was irritating due to similar songs being replayed. One member of staff was being treated awfully, speeding around giving out the food and as I could see was very stressed and just trying to do her job. Owner was shouting at her telling her she will get sacked if she doesn’t proceed to do as told which to me she was doing exactly that! Asked her if she was okay when serving me my food which she responded with I’m great which to me didn’t seem genuine. Think owners need to be more respectful and not take their stress out on the staff because this can be seen and also affects the work ethic the staff are trying to proceed. As for the food it was nice and at okay standards however I wouldn’t eat from here again. Appalling owners!

They arranged for a specific ingredient I don't like to be left out of my seafood platter. We had a sharing starter which was delicious and then the mains were both absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely visit here again if we're ever in Worksop.

We had a beautiful meal here last night, it was very busy with some big parties and not a spare table in site. ( this alone speaks volumes!)

Really craved Pad Thai so took little look at trip advisor to try and weigh the place up, plentiful positive reviews. Also a couple of negative ones, to be fair who doesn’t have a nosey!

I always rave about the food here, and up until very recently it was my favourite place to eat in Worksop. However, I feel compelled had to leave a review simply based on the disgusting welcome my five colleagues and I recieved last Tuesday. I had suggested coming here for dinner (my colleagues live out of town), and three of us parked in the car park next to the restaurant. Upon arrival we decided to look next door to see if Fuggles was open, it wasn’t (it’s about 10 steps away from Thai cassia). As we turned around to head into the restaurant, the male manager came out aggressively screaming the odds off with arms waving in the air saying “OI YOU CAN’T PARK HERE!!!! I WILL PUT THE BARRIERS DOWN SO YOUR CARS ARE TRAPPED IN OVERNIGHT!!” We very quickly and politely explained that we were actually about to enter the restaurant for food and were only looking to see whether the pub next door was open! Looking back, we should never have even bothered to go into the restaurant after being spoken to so shockingly. It was like being told off at school and quite frankly embarrassing! Anyway, we did go in for food and stood waiting while they prepared a table, all without receiving any sort of apology! We had wine, starters and mains and they brought out a different main to what I’d asked for... which I ended up eating out of politeness, but did not enjoyas it was too spicy for me. Only as we were paying up, the manager offered a jokingly, half-arsed apology. It did not feel sincere, and we weren’t offered a free drink or discount on our meals which would of made up for the extremely rude attitude. What should of been a really nice evening ended up being an uncomfortbale occasion, with an unwelcome attitude and shoddy service. I won’t be visiting again, and neither will my colleagues. I advise that the manager THINKS before he REACTS when approaching customers who use the car park. My only reason for giving 2/5 instead of 1/5 is because the food is authentic.

We popped to this restaurant after seeing it so well rated on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. We opted for a duck pancake starter to share, pad thai and pad med with rice. We were given complimentary prawn crackers prior to our starter which was a nice touch. The duck was plenty enough for 2 making 6 pancakes! It was pre-shredded which was handy. There was then a little wait between starter and main, but it was much needed as we filling up already! Our mains arrived and fortunately didn't over face us. Both were seasoned well. All in all the bill came to £34 with 4 drinks.

A lovely friendly little place, I wouldn’t have tried it without the TA reviews, but those reviews were absolutely right: it’s a gem! Very much a ‘ma and pa’ operation, the service and food were outstandingly good; and great value. I’d go here again like a shot.

We arrived at 7 the table was booked for 4 of us. Both couples ordered a set menu for 2 which came with a selection of starters and 2 mains and 2 rice all the food was lovely. Tea and coffee afterwards. It was a lovely evening and we weren’t rushed at all. My favourite was the Thai green curry but all the food was nice. Definitely worth a visit and will be going again. Oh forget to mention the gin quite a few to choose from.

Five of us enjoyed a set banquet meal. The plates were well presented with an assortment of starters. Followed by soup then a well balanced assortment of main courses. Plentiful amounts ensured we were unable to employ the plates. We left feeling well fed and very satisfied. I have no hesitation in recommending this Thai restaurant to everyone.

Yet again another superb visit to the Thai Cassia. I am a regular at the restaurant and always made to feel very welcome by the excellent staff.I ordered deep fried chicken with peppers and mushrooms, ( sorry can't remember the Thai name for it). Not liking spicy food I asked my waitress to tell the chef to leave out the chillies. When my food arrived it was still a little bit spicy for me. I informed my waitress and the plate was immediately whisked away and replaced by another which was more to my liking. No problem. The décor of the restaurant is light and modern, with Thai statues and art-work. I have visited many time since it opened and plan to do so again in the future. So thanks again for another pleasant evening guy's. See you soon.

Great restaurant serving a large menu of traditional thai food. Our party of 6 were served quickly and the food was served by two very pleasant waitresses. The menu included many vegetarian options and also a considerable amount to gluten free options. The surroundings were modern and bright and we were made to feel welcome and at no point hurried along as is sometimes the case. Would recommend a visit if you in Worksop.

Unfortunately didn't enjoy the meal or the experience, in fact only ate the starter as the rest of the food wasn't very nice.No alternative were offered & although some of the staff apologised the management didn't.We didn't agree that it caters for a cosy intimate meal either- decor drab and unclean wooden tables with noisy chairs, bright lights & not a candle insight.Of course this is just our opinion but really did spoil our anniversary!

The restaurant was quiet when we arrived so we were seated very quickly and our drinks order was soon on the table. A nice selection of Thai meals are on offer with all the usual suspects featuring along side a good crop of speciality dishes. The starters were good sized and tasty with my companions rib order being very impressive. The mains were generous too although my Jungle curry wasn't quite as spicy as I have had back home, but it was still very nice. Altogether a pleasant meal in nice surroundings. Thanks.

Takeaway. Cash only. (You can cancel payment for rubbish food if credit card used). Crispy shredded beef in sweet chilli sauce. Better description is Cremated beef in rubber coating. Also had Kung Po pork. This time the rubber is on the inside of the tasteless coating. Same sauce for both dishes. I could have saved a journey by simply phoning the order and asking them to bin it for me. Avoid this experience. Buy straight from Morrisons, or similar. Absolute waste of brass.
