Dog friendly bar, very nice friendly staff, great food, would highly recommend.

Called on way back to Doncaster from Hemswell Cliff yesterday (30/03/24). I ordered the gammon and my wife ordered the homemade steak pie. Neither of us were disappointed. The gammon was perfectly cooked and the triple cooked chips were to die for. My wife’s steak pie was full of tender pieces of steak and she was so full that she couldn’t be tempted to have a sweet. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful and obliging.

Lovely family friendly pub. We had a great Sunday roast. The fire was roaring on a cold Sunday afternoon. Really homely and friendly staff. The pork scratchins are on another level.

Great village pub which is deceptably larger than it looks from the outside . We had spotted it whilst taking our dogs to laughton woods and decided to go check it out and so glad we did . Its dog friendly with a log fire and friendly owners and locals . I had a farmers blonde cask ale and my wife a nice chilled chardonnay all at a reasonable price. Will definitely be calling back with the dogs and to watch the bell shooting night which sounds intriguing 🤔

Had Christmas menu last night. One of the best Xmas dinners I've ever had in a pub! Lovely wait between starters and mains as I hate food being brought out quickly one course after another. Desert (Xmas pud) was delicious and perfect portion size after a big roast meal!

Welcoming country pub. Not been in for a number of years so it was good to see although under fresh management it retained its high standard. Landlord and landlady were friendly as were the staff. Food was fab as it always was. Freshly cooked and hot which we knew because we had to wait. No ping meals here. Hoping to return for a Sunday lunch soon.

Bar staff very nice food is lovely had the curry rice chips the best to top it off the apple crumble and custard lovely feel stuffed the boss is a good bloke so I say 100%

Nice little pub and friendly staff, and deceivingly big inside. Good choice of Sunday Roast options (Beef, Gammon, Turkey, Pork) and good quality food with a reasonable selection of sweets. It is a little expensive £13.95 for a single, £18.95 for two and only received one and a half roast potatoes which weren't large either. The only other thing to mention was the restaurant section had plastic table cloths and most had different condiment containers (eg. Bottle of vinegar) which made it feel a little like a greasy spoon, not that there's anything wrong with them, but all in all worth a try.

8 of us went for our Christmas dinner. The food was beautifully cooked and there was more than enough. Not one point of criticism from any of us, a sure sign of our satisfaction. Very friendly staff and hosts, it definitely won't be our last visit!

My husband and I went for lunch today and had a lovely Sunday lunch. We were welcomed by the landlord on entering and served by the landlady at the bar, both very friendly. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful and the food was great value and well cooked, we will certainly return again.

Came for Sunday dinner. The food was appetising and cooked perfectly. Our dog was also made welcome. The waiting staff were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely rubbish!!! Place is like a cafe paper tablecloths,vinegar bottle on tables,place is run down inside and out, food was stone cold!! Small portions,Yorkshire puddings a joke wouldnt even serve them! Terrible meal wont ever return and def tell friends family to avoid worse Sunday dinner had out in a long long time...avoid it.

Really friendly local. We were visiting for a couple of days.. decent price for our drinks.. 2 double whisky’s. Gutted they didn’t open on a Monday as we would have definately gone there if they had been open . You can tell the landlord and landlady have a passion for their job. Good luck for the future as it has been difficult for all publicans. 🥰

Great Sunday lunch, and friendly welcoming service

Very impressed since the reopening. The new owners are clearly trying to tidy up whilst still Keeping the village pub feel. Rang to book, friendly service, we could even bring the dog . On arrival, warm greeting and promptly seated, menus and drinks sorted. Food was top notch, good portions and all home made. The cheese board had a fantastic selection, we all had a good pick at it. Other meals around us looked fantastic too, enough reason to return alone. My only quibble was how the owner was addressing the young waitresses. Although slightly inexperienced, they were helpful, friendly and doing a great job. I’d ordered the starter size mussels from the special board with a portion of chips as a main. The lovely young waitress had checked this was ok with the chef, no problem. The owner then gave the waitress a dressing down in front of the whole bar that there wasn’t a main portion left. As this was loud enough for me to hear sitting down, I explained it was myself and that I am happy with a smaller portion with chips and that the waitress had spoken to the kitchen. The owner then continued to say that you never know what these young girls put on the order and that the one not working whilst we was there was even worse! Please have more faith in the young people working for you, we all had to learn once and they are doing a great job. Well done to the young waitress biting her tongue after being spoken to so rudely in front of so many customers!

It was a last minute idea we had to go out for an evening meal so we have the Ingram arms a call to see if there was a chance of fitting 4 adults and 3 children in. They were happy to oblige and said there was no problem. Upon arriving we were welcomed by the landlord who was very friendly and he took our drinks order. We were then shown to our seats by the landlady. Again really friendly and welcoming. There was a birthday party on in the other room so they were really busy and the landlady did say we may have to wait a little bit for our order to be taken and food to be served which wasn’t a problem to us. The menu is full of beautiful home cooked food and there is also a specials board. There isnt a childrens menu as such but they did accommodate them with smaller portions. They chose either cheeseburger, chips and salad or Lasagne. Comments from the boys were ‘10/10 for the chef’ and ‘best burger ever’. Hence the plates were cleared when the had finished. The adults had Lasagne or Steak and ale pie. I can only comment on my pie and wow Crammed full of soft meat and enclosed in a beautiful pastry. I need to add that this was a full pie and not just a dish with crust on the top. Pricing is reasonable and to give you an idea we had 2 rounds of drinks along with 4 adult meals and 3 childrens meals and the bill was just below £90. This place is a hidden gem and we will certainly be back again.

Lovely place very friendly land lady found this place by accident on a drive so stopped and had a cold drink and ended up having lunch to niceand pieceful lovely views in the beer garden would definitely return.

This place makes homemade everything and so they were able to cater to my needs, even though I have a rapeseed allergy. I can eat few things so I was delighted when the chef (with 35 years experience) was able to cook a delicious meal. I was so happy with yesterday's meal, I went back today and he aced it again. My daughter was equally happy with the fare and the choices. All the staff are wonderful and the toilets are impeccably clean.

Just reopened with new owners it is a must to go. We went with friends the menu is excellent the starters are worth every penny we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. we got a lovely warm welcome and the changes made are great you can choose to eat in our eat outside as the outside area has been transformed an is great to have the choice. would definitely recommend you will not be disappointed

We love the Ingram. Great, reasonably priced food served by friendly staff. Usually an open fire going in colder weather and a playground outside for the kids. The Yorkshire puddings are especially good.

From reading previous reviews I had hight expectations of the Ingram Arms, unfortunately we were dissapointed. Lovely people, but not quite up to standard for us. We had a family meal of 9 people, we had just finished our starters, and immediately served our main meal, except for 1 person who had to wait another 5 mins for his to be brought out, meanwhile his vegetables had gone cold. It was early on a Saturday night, but had run out of 1 item on the menu which 2 of us had chosen. Almost every fish or seafood dish on the menu was served in batter, as I cannot eat batter, the fish dishes were out. The steak served with the mixed grill looked insipid too. We were packed in a small room liked sardines with another party of about 18 , we could hardly moove.

We dined in here on two occasions last week and enjoyed the food on both occasions,well cooked and tasty and reasonably priced.The attention and service by the staff was exceptional and nothing was to much trouble for them. This is one place i would visit again when i am next in the area

Came to the Laughton for Easter Dinner with the family (whom we rarely see). Ordered lamb and after tasting realised it was beef! Politely asked if it could be swapped and the waitress agreed, walked about 10 yards and brought it back declaring it was definitely lamb. Veg was okay, although insufficient portion for sharing between 4 people. Puddings looked nice, but didn’t wish to order invade I got a different one than requested!

My husband and I went for lunch today, we hadn't booked but they managed to find us a table. By the time we left the restaurant was fully booked. The menu gave lots of choice and we will definitely be going back to try different meals as ours today was so enjoyable.

A good home cooked meal with generous portions and friendly service is always guaranteed at the Ingram.

The meal was fantastic - as always. My family always went there when they lived in Laughton... there were a lot of Marshalls and they always had a great opinion of the pub. My uncles used to play cricket and go to the pub after. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Everyone who goes to the Gainsborough area should seek out this little gem with a big heart.

Best Xmas meal ever good value.

I was with 2 friends and we were sat next too a table only a few yards away with ppl of a special needs requirement, and I overheard many times the lovely customers ordering their food, and I MUST SAY ALL THE STAFF were Amazing and Compassionate!! They spoke to the ppl and changed food orders without the slightest of hinderance to them.The staff were so polite, friendly and very cheerful and Im sure made the customers very happy, Cos I certainly was. I CANNOT BE MORE IMPRESSED CREDIT TO YOU ALL.

We went to Ingram arms today for are work Xmas lunch and a few people from are day centre the meal was lovely and the staff was brilliant they couldn't of done anymore for us so a very big thank you from Hastings day centre xx

Excellent food, staff were great. Steak night on a Thursday love cut, served with all the trimmings and extras. First time we've been. Would definitely go again. Next week, if I can persuade my husband.

We called in the Ingram arms for coffee as we were out looking at property and were quite impressed by the amount of people eating at lunchtime considering the pub is a little off the beaten track.

10/10 all round stay! Thanks to the host & staff hospitality, not forgetting everyone I met who were also friendly & great fun to be around, especially on games night! Too many to mention but will remember you all & my drinking buddy. Food was great & never too little. Had i chose to stay elsewhere i wouldn't have experienced or felt more welcome. Disappointing. Food came out of kitchen far too fast to be cooked from scratch. Mediocre, runny and no taste food. Watch out for the beautiful pet floppy eared rabbit of next door neighbour that roams the car park. Madness.

So often we end up with chips on our cycle ride lunch stops but we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that there were four vegan choices on the menu. The three bean chilli and rice was flavoursome and satisfying with just the right amount of heat. The Cantonese stir fry was packed with veggies and though a bit sweet for my liking was enjoyable. The other options were a Chinese curry and stuffed peppers. The staff were friendly and welcoming and mentioned that they cater for other regular vegan customers. They are planning to have a vegetarian and vegan themed three course evening meal and the menu options looked delicious. We enjoyed sitting in the beer garden where time and care had been spent creating a variety of beautiful hanging basket flower arrangements.

Poor Sunday lunch. Over priced, under portioned, low quality.

When we pulled into the car park we could see that not much investment has been put into the premises - it's scruffy and needs tidying up. Upon entering the restaurant we could see that investment is lacking here too. It's tired and locked in a time warp - pictures hung with string. Sticky worn out menus and a general feeling of "we've given up". No non alcoholic beer sold here so only soft drinks instead. We ordered one starter and two mains, the mains arrived almost too quickly and then we were asked if we wanted the starter as a side dish - we declined. My wife had a mushroom stroganoff which was quite mediocre. I chose a Chinese prawn curry - that too was mediocre. Just no style or care shown. If you have a restaurant located in an out of the way village that takes some getting to then you have to be on top of your game. This place is not.

Stranded with work, what a oasis I found, a snowy winters evening, sitting by a log fire, what more could you ask, shouldn't say this really , but I was in a truck, and the owners with a bit of cheeky wind up let me park out back, don't tell any one or they all will be here! and that's what would happen, bar staff were Great. especially the owner, we chatted about my passion " food " I thought I posted a review earlier, to my shame I forgot the ladies name, I will be back , so that wont be a problem, great atmosphere which money can not buy, fantastic place to hold any kind of event,,BRILLIANT EXCELLENT FELT REALLY APPRECIATED FOR MY SHORT STAY

I have been going to Ingram Arms for a while as I like a particular dish. The pub is warm, friendly and welcoming but as time goes by the portion sizes are getting smaller each time I go. I have always been clear when placing my order but it is often wrong. I've always gone back but after my meal last Thursday, I'm afraid I will not be returning. It's a shame but I could get better value for money elsewhere.

We took our parents here for a Sunday Lunch at the beginning of February on recommendation and were not disappointed.

We have a few excellent meals at The Ingram Arms, but for the last 2 weeks have been to the Thursday night Steak Night and what a deal. A steak dinner for 2 to include a sauce and a glass of wine or pint of beer for 2 people £25. There was a choice of steak and a choice of sauce and our steaks came out cooked to perfection. We also had a large bowl of the best chips I have tasted in years, a bowl of salad and a bowl of fresh vegetables, delicious. I couldn't believe we ordered desserts because we were so full, but they were excellent too.

Decided to visit here after seeing the recent reviews and was very pleased we did Food and service was excellent and we will certainly be going back

Just had a brilliant boxing day meal with our family. All 3 courses came on time by our attentive waitress Charlotte. All the food was cooked to perfection & plenty of it too. We will certainly come back again & recommend the Ingram Arms to our friends.

We accidently came across this pub as we were looking for somewhere to eat, we was greeted by the staff and shown to our table, and given our menus, there was alot of choice which for a pub surprised me, we ordered our starters, (pate) and it was really nice and the portion was really good, bigger than what iv had before, then our main came, again big portions and best of all was homemade chips which made our meal even more better, the desserts were alk really nice, especially the coconut and jam tart homemade, absolutely beautiful, the staff were all smiling and helpful I recommend this pub you won't be disappointed.

I cant figure out though why this place isn't full from start to finish. give it a go.

Fuimos un grupo de 9 para los padres el día y tuvimos una comida muy buena. Mucha variedad en el menú personal muy amable volveremos y aún más de nosotros. Haciendo un autobús para una excursión recci ayuda a la cintura! ! ! (crecer). ! ! Bien hecho armas Ingram.

Nunca he estado en dicho establecimiento que requiere limpieza, las ventanas, zócalo tablas marcos viuda todos queremos pasadores. Incluso la navidad luces de hadas quieres polvo.

Just a proper good old fashioned pub with friendly staff and a great chef. We have been eating here for several years now and never had cause to complain about food or service. If you havent been then youre missing a treat. I recommend the cajun chicken to newbies but to be honest its all top quality food. Oh i mustn't forget the home made leek and potato soup. Perfection in a bowl for me. Always a wonderful welcome and the roaring open fire in winter make it a cosy venue.

Only popped in to meet a friend. Friendly staff and nice atmospere. John had just eaten and was very enthusiastic about his meal. My pint was served with a smile and I could find no fault with the inside. Car park could do with sprucing up slightly. Looking forward to booking for my meal soon.

Recent visit for a birthday lunch. The meal was very good, beutifully cooked and service was prompt and efficient.

Warm and cosy atmosphere. Lovely and clean. Food beautiful with home made chips. This has been our second visit due to the lovely food. I even mentioned how nice the food was to the lady at the bar and I was ignored until I repeated myself. I think it's very important to acknowledge how nice the food is as compliments can be positive. Staff and waitress could have better communication skills. On our first visit the lady at the bar forgot about us and didnt bring our drinks to us. Waitress had no eye contact at all and seemed rushed on our second visit.

I was quite surprised when we entered the Ingram Arms. From the outside it is a fairly non descript building, clean and tidy perhaps but not that inspiring. Inside it is large warm and has an inviting snug atmosphere. There were two hand pull beers and a few lagers and cream flow bitters. The food was excellent, we all had something different and no one was disappointed. My fish and chips was one of the best I have had. Main menu prices are not particularly cheap, but the lunchtime deals are very reasonable. The only down side for me was that the hand pull bitter I had, Tom Woods, was a bit flat, so I went onto Worthy's cream flow. Maybe just a glitch And I will update when we have been again, which will not be too long.

Called in here for a bite to eat after a morning at Blyton Park Track, a warm welcome from the bar staff, and an even warmer welcome from the open fire. Food was served quickly and hot. Very tasty and portion sizes were great. Desserts to die for and very good value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone. Please call in, you will not be disappointed.

We've been a few times to this pub - it does need updating. The car park is quite lethal in parts and there are areas that are untidy and unkempt.The entrance hall can be confusing if you don't know where to go and on our last visit was cluttered with high chairs and boxes. One tip is if sitting in the conservatory avoid near the doors as there is a definite draught them. However it is lovely and light but you have a view of the car park. Our last visit we were seated in the bar area. It always seems dark, probably due to lack of natural light and the overall structure of the building. Inside the décor is beginning to look very tired and it could do with new paint & freshening up. There are cushions scattered around and none of them look or smell very fresh.However the staff are the asset here, they have always been friendly when we have visited and they are attentive and helpful. The food is good, solid, pub food and value for money and the negative aspects are not a major issue for me because being served by friendly staff, receiving good service and good food are what I look for.

had a beautiful sunday lunch with the family. 5 choices of meat 5 veggies yorki pud gravey to die for. i had pork and the complentary stuffing was the best i ever tasted. great service. very friendly. and a cosy fire burning .there was a great choice of puds.i recommend homemade bakewell. i will give this place 5*

Been here many times over the past few years, always thought it looked a bit unkept but put up with it as the food is usually great.On our recent lunchtime visit we approached via the rear door from the car park, our first sight was a huge ash tray type thing absolutely overflowing with fag ends, disgusting, obviously a staff area, why on earth wasn't that emptied.On entering through the rear door there is a large storage area totally open to view, it contained extra chairs and bits and pieces, the whole area looked like it needed a good clean up.We selected a table were given 2 menus, one al a carte and one with a selection of £6.95 meals.I went to order at the bar and noticed a blackboard stating all draught beers were £3.20 pint, don't know if I'm tight, but seemed a bit steep to me, also had a coke and actually saw the bar maid pick up the lemon and drop it into the glass with her fingers.We ordered, service was quick, my meal was fantastic but my partner had the steak pie, but the meat used was not stewing steak, it hadn't fallen into the gravy, it was just hard cubes of solid meat, probably topside or similar totally spoiling quite a nice meal.Some time ago the management changed and we thought they were trying hard to improve the place, but looks like they gave up trying, it seems to have fallen back to the same old place.Please management get your finger out and smarten the place up, customers will only tolarate it for so long.

Just had a fantastic meal here today. Not been for awhile but we were not disappointed I had the chilli con carne and he had liver and onions the food was delicious. The portion sizes are good and the service was good. We also had a sweet and both of those were yummy. We will certainly go back.

This pub was recommended to us and we went for a meal. Quite out of the way and you would not find it if you did not know about it. We really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere and we plan to go back soon, in fact we may go back several times.

If you want decent home cooked food then try this place, it's decent food at reasonable prices and if you get the tea time specials it's even better..

Saturday lunch out and we were not disappointed. There is a very warm welcome waiting for you and we were quickly shown to a table. Lunch time menu was very good value and the food was delicious. Piping hot and good portion size. Only downside was the pub itself looked a little dated but the food and atmosphere more than made up for that. Highly recommended!

We visited as a party of 4. We were quickly seated and the waitress brought us the menus. The menu had a good selection of food all at good prices. We ordered our food and it was served without a long wait. We all enjoyed our food and the waitress was very attentive looking after us. When we left we were all stuffed and had enjoyed all our food. It won'rt be long before we're back

A late booking which was delt with with no fuss while looking for a different venue . We were greeted warmly and served with a smile all the three courses were served promptly and pleasantly the food was presented well and ample portions I had the beef roast very tasty my partner had the lamb she stated it was cooked to perfection well done all the team we will return

Ordered steak which we were told was local an fresh,it was nothing of the sort was obviously frozen an judging how tough it was had been for some time, sent back,on leaving the pub via rear entrance found the chef sat outside on a table covered in bird crap smoking place is a discrace

The Ingram Arms stepped in at 48 hours notice to put on a surprise birthday party for 22 !!The food was top quality, the portions were huge, and everyone had a fantastic evening

Enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Ingram Arms. Absolutely delicious and very large servings. The service was second to none, despite being very very busy and cannot fault the welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone celebrating a speciall occasion or just going out for a nice dinner experience.Will definitely be a repeat visitor.

Had many meals here the staff are friendly and nothing is too mush trouble, we held our 40th wedding anniversary celebration here and from the initial chat Sarah made suggestions and ideas for the evening to her delivering what we paid for an evening of celebrations , the room looked beautiful and the food was hot delicious and served by a team who made sure all went smoothly absolutely fantastic service would highly recommend this family run establishment for your celebration from a small number to a bigger group

Cannot believe the size of our Sunday lunch, I know we ordered two meats but did it have to come on a pavement size plate, just kidding, it was absolutely huge. It had two meats (mine was Beef and Turkey and the wife,s was Beef and Chicken), 4 veg ( swede, cabbage, peas and broccoli, mash potatoes and roast potatoes and to top it all a Yorkshire pudding. I was lucky that I was hungry because I polished it off. Worth the value of £8.95 and would definitely come again.
