Terrible....Just about sums it up. Dont waste you money. We went as a family and ordered 3 burgers and a Swiss cheese sandwich. When the refillable drinks came, 1 had some black blob nasty floating in it. We had to get up to tell them. We also had to get up twice to asked to be refilled as the staff just didnt care. The cheese sandwich was awful (see the picture of left overs) tiny welded lump of cheese and a slice of tomato, no butter and some lettuce! It was all cheap grilled bread. The chips were luke warm and were left. All the burgers were only half eaten as they were fatty. The toilets smell of stables and have a strange stink. The condiments and sauces were filthy. I had to ask (by getting up) for a new fork as the person before me still had their food attached! When it came to paying, I think it was about £74 as we had 1 milk shake too, I complained to the waitress (when she eventually arrived after being called over yet again) who shrugged and still charged the same. We will never eat here again!

I was staying in Stamford for a week and a half between the end of November to mid-December 2024 and used the coffee shop most days for a flat white or hot chocolate with something to eat. Really good drinks and food and a very friendly, professional team serving. The young lady with the glasses, who seems to perhaps be the manager was particularly lovely. I would definitely recommend. PS: Google Maps shows this coffee shop as being in the former St Nicholas church but it's actually 100m further east along the High Street, closer to M&S and opposite the Cook shop. Update w/c 6 January 2025 - WOW! Some people seem lovelier every time you meet them. Still really tasty food and drinks too.

Breakfast par excellence! Mum and myself went for breakfast today. It was cooked with care (eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine). The poached eggs were just right and beautifully presented. Worth a big mention is the friendly and efficient serving staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

Visited for lunch on Saturday was greeted by lovely friendly staff eager to help us be seated with our dog. Made us feel very welcome. Had lovely fresh baguettes with lots of filling and salad. Just had coffees again really good coffee. Young waitress came to ask if everything was okay so polite. Would definitely visit again and good value for money. Thank you for a pleasant lunch.

Food ok but service was abysmally slow, spoiling the evening. Waitresses were cheerfully doing their best but were ridiculously under staffed. If there was a particular staffing problem that evening an apology and explanation would have been in order. If not - get your act together Prezzo!

We usually visit several times of year which I admit is probably far less than many other customers but we use this place to meet up with family. Generally speaking, we have always had a great experience, enjoying lovely food served by cheerful staff who are genuinely friendly, communicate efficiently, and are committed to their jobs. However, our visit today was really disappointing. Admittedly, they do have some construction work in progress but is that an excuse for sticky tables, dirty 'reserved' table signage, and grubby looking table number markers? No, it isn't. Our pre-lunch drinks were mediocre, the crockery 'looked clean' but did defy close inspection as several of the saucers had a greasy film on them - obviously washed and dried in a hurry. The menus were tatty and amateurish. I agree with a previous review about the location of the toilets too - opening onto the same passageway as the kitchen is not ideal and the tap in the disabled toilet was. All told, our visit today was very disappointing and I know that Stamford Garden Centre has done so much better in the past.

Lovely venue- came for a picnic with our 2 grandsons, one has special needs, we asked the staff if they minded us having a drink outside and eating our own prepared picnic. We were quite prepared to buy some drinks! We wanted to be able to enjoy the outside and not stress out our grandson or cause any disruption inside. She said no, it's licensed premises....we eventually found a bench near the lake- no table, we managed but it was not ideal. There were no shortage of tables......pity a little more consideration could have been given to those less fortunate....

Came for works christmas party. Excellent food, service and bar especially as they were catering for a large number of guests. Great place for a party.

I was alone so happy to sit at a smaller table. A previous review found this unacceptable but as the are so few tables this made sense. My table was lovely. I choose soup and a cheese scone with Earl Grey tea. I asked for a refill and as a previous comment said this was declined but I was provided with steaming hot jug of water which was enough. I followed this with a lovely meringue sandwiched with cream and with a choice of sauce. It was great. Unlike other reviewers I did not find the offerings over priced. Maybe they don’t get out a lot. The staff were very friendly. The decor and crockery were charming and I had a lovely time.
